Socio-cultural events are currently gaining increasing relevance and the problem of their organization is becoming urgent both for commercial companies and professionals in this sphere. Today, event management is becoming the leading technology for the organization of events and, notwithstanding the importance of the mastery of theoretical knowledge, only the practical implementation of event management technologies in event organization serves as a prerequisite for the development of organizational skills in professionals in the socio-cultural sphere. The conducted experimental work reveals a major discrepancy in the level of university students’ mastery of organizational skills in the process of theoretical and practical training and proves the effectiveness of the latter in the development of professional mastery of socio-cultural workers. The reasons underlying the development of socio-cultural workers’ organizational skills specifically in the course of practical mastery of event management technologies are identified and comprise contingency on multiple factors, the variability of the socio-cultural situation, and high competition in the market of socio-cultural services.

Abstract This paper describes the optimization of preventive maintenance (PM) over a finite planning horizon in a semi-Markov framework. In this framework, the asset may be operating, and providing income for the asset owner, or not operating and undergoing PM, or not operating and undergoing corrective maintenance following failure. PM is triggered when the asset has been operating for τ time units. A number m of transitions specifies the finite horizon. This system is described with a set of recurrence relations, and their z-transform is used to determine the value of τ that maximizes the average accumulated reward over the horizon. We study under what conditions a solution can be found, and for those specific cases the solution τ* is calculated. Despite the complexity of the mathematical solution, the result obtained allows the analyst to provide a quick and easy-to-use tool for practical application in many real-world cases. To demonstrate this, the method has been implemented for a case study, and its accuracy and practical implementation were tested using Monte Carlo simulation and direct calculation.

This article discusses the role of the personality of the teacher-psychologist in investigative actions. It should be noted that the investigative actions are different in content, for example: interrogation, experiment, search, identification, examination and others. In these investigative actions, the role of the teacher-psychologist is ambiguous and complex. During interrogation, the teacher-psychologist, with his presence, helps the child in the first place, so that he can calmly and truthfully answer the questions posed without fear and misunderstanding, and also helps the investigator, especially in cases where the questions are asked correctly. However, it seems that even when called to participate in the investigative action on the initiative of the investigator and helping him to establish psychological contact with the minor, the educational psychologist primarily shows concern for the interests of adolescents and not for the interests of the investigation. Consequently, while studying at a university, students, as future pedagogues- psychologists, need to master knowledge in the following subjects, juvenile pedagogy, juvenile psychology, etc. Also, during practical training, it is important to be able to use the knowledge gained in the above subjects.

Abstract. The main purpose of this article is to review the theoretical prerequisites of nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) application in tasks of search and exploration of hydrocarbon deposits. The identification peculiarities of hydrocarbon deposits in a weak magnetic field of the Earth were analysed. The necessity of using highly directional antennas for providing greater sounding depths as well as the use of absorption spectra of the sought-for minerals as sounding signals were identified and justified. A variant of practical implementation of such a system was examined and examples of practical application of the innovative NMR technology were provided.

The pedagogical thought and concept of the system of protection by Edmund Bojanowski’s upbringing, even though it was born 170 years ago, appears today to be innovative and exceptionally up-to-date. Applied in contemporary pre-school education and child care, it is a continuation of the concept of upbringing and its practical implementation by establishing on May 3, 1850 the nursery and Congregation of the Servant Sisters. The theoretical and practical application of this concept and new research and scientific studies on the essence of early education realized in Catholic pedagogical thought in the context of contemporary civilization challenges is still expected from various circles in Poland and worldwide.

New time challenges cause new contradictions that are peculiar for educational environment in Russia and they require instant solutions. We have identified the contradictions which defined our target to determine the techniques and methods of distance education for students of pedagogical specializations based on practice-oriented approach, implementation of media educational technologies into the preparation of university students aimed at the development of knowledge, competencies and skills in distance learning in different types of educational institutions. Media educational technologies are conditioned by general pedagogical and didactic principles and the choice of pedagogical methods directly depends on the content of educational discipline, conditions of its implementation and other factors. Media educational technologies used for the completion of social-pedagogical disciplines for university students consist of creative and game tasks. Using them it is essential to consider special features of various media and the target of the lesson. Practice is another relevant purpose in the process of distance learning. We believe that this problem will be dominating in the nearest future as practice in distance learning is focused on by higher education institutions. In this article some techniques and types of this practical training are presented being shaped by the format of distance learning. During various practices the students of pedagogical specializations will be able not only to prepare for their future work but also to assist subject teachers, social pedagogues in schools and to make considerable contributions in this work.

Event management requires the use of project management and organizational skills to envision, plan, and execute social and business events. It involves studying the brand, identifying its target audience, devising the event concept, and coordinating the technical aspects before actually launching the event. Individuals who develop expertise in event management work in principle with budgets, schedules, and vendors and third-party service providers, and community stakeholders guaranty that they create successful events that meet the needs of their organization or the expectations of their client.

The problem of improving the quality of training of future teachers remains relevant, despite numerous reforms in the field of vocational education. Employers, when assessing the competencies of graduates of pedagogical colleges and universities, note the lack of practical training. The graduates themselves note the difficulties in solving many practical issues that arise in the first days of their professional activity. The introduction of new federal state educational standards for secondary vocational education requires changes in the practiceoriented educational process. Modern pedagogical practice remains in fact the only available option for obtaining the primary experience of future teachers. However, many researchers note gaps in the organization of practical training of students. This affects the level of development of professional competencies of graduates. The data of the psychological and pedagogical research on the development of professional competencies of students-teachers are presented in the article. Our research is based on the idea of developing additional training modules aimed at independent practical work of students. Additional training modules offered to students included theoretical information, independent work aimed at creating a methodological development and its practical implementation. During the implementation of the experimental study, the authors diagnosed the expected and subjective increase in the level of development of professional competencies (based on the results of practical training). The results showed that the students who entered the experimental group and performed additional tasks in the course of practice in the studied modules had a slightly higher subjective assessment of the increase in the level of development of professional competencies after the internship than the students of the control group. Further research on these issues will provide more accurate data.

In this article we discuss the teaching programs of Research Methodology subjects imparted in undergraduate Sociology degrees, mainly in Argentina (2018). Starting with questions about how research is taught, we analyzed programs as documents that develop and deliver information on formative practices and discourses. While these programs are by no means classroom practices, they provide significant information and help to increase the sample compared to observation in situ. Our results are divided into two axes: variations in teaching proposals and ways of understanding research practices. The corpus we analyzed reflects a broad consensus on the discursive level around the idea “You learn to investigate by investigating”. However, the extent and modes of the practical application of theoretical knowledge appear to depend on which topics need teaching. The most concrete techniques and operations are those that appear most related to their practical implementation. However, these techniques and operations are not always taught by framing them within a comprehensive investigative study. We highlight the importance of taking into account the conceptions about what is research and what is practice. We conclude that, since there are contradictory opinions on the teaching of social research methodology, the range of teaching approaches reflects these tensions and meets the various challenges in different ways.
