Nowadays, solid and transparent soap is often used as a display of wedding souvenirs, air freshener, and handicrafts. With the presence of a solid and transparent soap in very unique display and interesting this can make the soap is sold at a relatively more expensive price in the market. Regarding with the development of solid soap products that can produce several good benefits, this activity needs to be trained, developed and empowered to the parties who have the potential to produce these products. One of the parties that has the potential to be trained is the housewives in the PKK group (Family Welfare Empowerment) at Rawamangun, East Jakarta. This community service activity is done by using lecture and simulation/demonstration method through innovative product development of souvenir soap by using palm cooking oil. The results of the training show the enthusiasm and willingness of the participants to be able to perform individually in the manufacture of solid soap souvenir products and they can produce in large quantities. With this training, the housewives can practice themselves at home and be motivated to open business opportunities through these product so it can be feasible for sale in the market

In general, the residents of RT 004 RW 03 have a level of education at the junior and senior high school levels. This is due to the economic factors and the absence of encouragement from parents for their children to continue their education to a higher level. Moreover, women who do not continue their education at school are unemployed or decide to become housewives, because they do not have the skills to live independently. Most of the mothers are only housewives who only take care of their children and husbands. This condition cannot improve the economic condition of the family that is not fixed and coupled with the high economic burden that requires each family to be able to think creatively in order to survive amid the economic pressure. The objectives of this community service activity included: Assisting women’s group of Family Welfare and Empowerment in the formation of business groups, assisting women’s group of Family Welfare and Empowerment on how to utilize and cultivate the broiler rabbits as a small entrepreneur. The implementation of this training activity was expected to help in fostering an entrepreneurial spirit in rabbit cultivation for underprivileged people through the formation of a small business group of women of Family Welfare and Empowerment and in the form of published scientific articles. Abstrak Warga masyarakat yang berada di RT 004 RW 03 pada umumnya adalah lulusan SMP dan SMU. Hal tersebut disebabkan oleh faktor ekonomi dan tidak adanya dorongan dari orang tua agar anak-anak mereka melanjutkan pendidikan ke jenjang yang lebih tinggi. Terlebih anak perempuan yang tidak melanjutkan sekolah akhirnya menganggur atau hidup berumah tangga, karena mereka tidak mempunyai bekal keterampilan untuk bisa hidup mandiri. Sebagian besar ibu-ibu hanya sebagai ibu rumah tangga yang hanya mengurusi anak dan suaminya. Kondisi ini tidak dapat memperbaiki kondisi ekonomi keluarga, penghasilan yang tidak tetap dan ditambah beban ekonomi yang tinggi menuntut setiap keluarga untuk dapat berfikir kreatif agar dapat bertahan hidup ditengah himpitan ekonomi. Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini antara lain: Membantu Ibu PKK dalam pembentukan kelompok usaha yang harus dibentuk, membantu Ibu PKK dalam cara pemanfaatan dan pengolahan kelinci pedaging sebagai wirusaha kecil. Diharapkan setelah kegiatan pelatihan ini dilaksanakan menumbuhkan semangat berwirausaha budidaya kelinci bagi masyarakat prasejahtera melalui pembentukan kelompok usaha kecil ibu PKK dan berupa luaran artikel ilmiah yang dipublikasikan.

The activity of speaking or known as public speaking is a scary thing for students. Although they are often asked to practice presentations in front of the class, the technique of delivering public speaking is often not paid attention to. There are several techniques that should be mastered in public speaking so that the delivery can be conveyed well to the audience. This time, the implementation of PKM aims to provide knowledge about public speaking skills, improve speaking skills, mentally prepare students to speak in front of crowds, and equip students to enter lectures or work.  The method presented in this activity is lecture and practice.with 20 students from SMK Bina Nusa Slawi. Students are also provided with modules to make it easier when delivering and students can also repeat the material at home. Students are also given directions regarding the correct way of presentation in Indonesian and English in accordance with the rules of public speaking. In addition to theory and practice in the classroom. Students are also directed to observe several public speaking figures through Youtube channel. In general, community service activity at SMK Bina Nusa Slawi are going well. Students' enthusiasm is extraordinary, as evidenced by the fact that 80 percent of students believe that having public speaking skills and increasing self-confidence are important. Students feel helped by this activity because they gain knowledge about public speaking and presentation techniques that can be used to support presentations in class or as a provision for later in the world of work.

Miftahunnajah Orphanage is a community group that organizes pesantren education for orphans. For that purpose, the orphanage management needs a lot of operational expenses in the organization of education and to fulfill the needs of the students santri. So far, the funds used for operations are mostly dependent on donors from donors. The santri in this orphanage have good potential to be developed in order to be more economically independent and not only rely on donor donations or existing funders. While in the neighborhood around the orphanage many resources that can be raised to be developed in the form of creative industries. One of the existing resources is the existence of scrap wastes from small convection industry in Yogyakarta. Creativity and innovation santri-santri Miftahunnajah orphanage needs to be developed in order to capture the opportunities that exist in the vicinity. The solution to solve the problem of lack of creativity and innovation of the santri at Miftahunnajah Orphanage is to provide guidance for business counseling. Therefore in the activities of Community Service T.A. 2017/2018, the proposer conducted advisory activities to nurture and guide the Orphanage Miftahunnajah in making creative products and innovations from waste patchwork materials that exist in the surrounding environment to be a creative product and can be marketed so as to support the orphanage economy and become the Orphanage economically independent. The steps undertaken in the Community Service activities are as follows: 1) Conducting a survey to find out the condition of Orphanage Miftahunnajah in Wonocatur Banguntapan area, 2) Conducting data of creative industries appropriate for guidance / mentoring, 3) Conducting business assistance in the form of guidance of creating creative and innovative products from waste materials that can be developed at Miftahunnajah Wonocatur Banguntapan orphanage. The result of this community service activity is children at Miftahunnajah Orphanage can make creative and innovative product from waste material of patchwork.

The Village

Waste is a problem that must be faced by residential communities both in urban and rural settlements, so it needs to be systematically structured and sustainable. Conventional waste handling that has been implemented by the community cannot produce an appropriate solution, this is evident that there is still a large volume of waste that has not been managed properly. The purpose of implementing community service activities in the village of Sedapurklagen in Benjeng Gresik is to utilize household waste through compoter and biopori as well as the application of Biopori to treat household waste that can also reduce waterlogging during rain. The implementation method is used so that the purpose of this service activity is to empower the community about managing household waste to be composted through composter, as well as training on composting from composter and biopori. The target of this activity is the mothers of family welfare coaching (PKK) in the village of Sedapurklagen, Benjeng Gresik. The result of this service is that the community has begun to process organic waste to make compost and million biopori pipes around the Posapur, Sedapurklagen Gresik to reduce the presence of standing water during the rainy season.

Banjarbaru merupakan kota pemukiman yang sebagian besar penduduknya tinggal di lahan sempit. Diversifikasi tanaman pekarangan perlu dilakukan di Kota Banjarbaru. Salah satu tanaman pekarangan yang mulai dibudidayakan masyarakat perkotaan pada saat ini dikenal dengan sebutan bayam Brazil (Alternanthera sissoo). Tanaman ini mulai diimpor dan diperkenalkan ke beberapa negara Asia Tenggara, seperti Malaysia dan Indonesia. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pendampingan introduksi tanaman Bayam Brazil sebagai tanaman pekarangan di Kota Banjarbaru. Metode kegiatan yang digunakan dalam pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah metode penyuluhan dan pendampingan. Kegiatan penyuluhan dilaksanakan di Aula Gawi Sabarataan Balai Kota Pemerintah Kota Banjarbaru selama satu hari. Peserta kegiatan berjumlah 59 orang yang terdiri dari Ketua Kelompok Wanita Tani, Ketua Dasa Wisma, dan Tim Penggerak PKK Kota Banjarbaru. Pendampingan penanaman bayam Brazil dilakukan di beberapa kelompok wanita tani. Masyarakat Kota Banjarbaru sangat antusias untuk menanam tanaman bayam Brazil di pekarangan. Hal ini karena tanaman bayam Brazil dapat dikonsumsi, mudah diperbanyak, mudah dibudidayakan, dan memiliki bentuk yang estetik. Kata kunci: Bayam Brazil, Lahan Pekarangan,Urban Farming ABSTRACT Banjarbaru is a residential city that mostly lives in narrow land. Diversification of yard plants needs to be done in Banjarbaru. One of the yard plants that began to be cultivated by urban communities today is known as Brazilian spinach (Alternanthera sissoo). This plant began to be imported and introduced to several Southeast Asian countries, such as Malaysia and Indonesia. This community service activity aims to provide assistance in the introduction of Brazilian spinach plants as vegetable backyard in Banjarbaru Town. The method of activity used in community service is the method of counseling and assistance.  Counseling activities were held at Gawi Sabarataan Hall of Banjarbaru for one day. The participants of the activity numbered 59 people consisting of the Chairmans of the Farmer Women Groups, the Chairmans of Dasa Wisma, and the PKK (Family Welfare Development) Mobilization Team of Banjarbaru City. Assistance in planting Brazilian spinach was carried out in Farmer Women Groups. Banjarbaru people are very enthusiastic to grow Brazilian spinach plants in the yard. In daily life, soap is one of the things that humans need to keep the body clean and the cleanliness of the surrounding environment. The high public interest in soap, especially dishwashing soap, opens up business opportunities to produce soap to meet community needs. Community empowerment, especially the PKK women's group to produce dishwashing soap, can be done because dishwashing soap is relatively easy to learn and produce. However, public knowledge about chemicals and the process of producing dish soap is still very minimal. This community service activity aims to provide insight into the home business opportunities and skills of making dish soap to PKK ladies. The group of partners in this activity is PKK women in Kutuwetan Village, Ponorogo Regency. This activity is expected to improve the community's welfare, especially in the economic field, and foster awareness and independence in entrepreneurship. The methods used in this community service activity include coordination with partners, counseling, and training in making liquid soap, evaluation, and follow-up. This community service activity is in the form of a dish soap product that has been put in packages and distributed to residents. In addition, the achievement of a group of partners who already have skills in making dish soap. ABSTRAKDalam kehidupan sehari-hari, sabun merupakan salah satu barang yang sangat dibutuhkan oleh manusia baik untuk menjaga kebersihan badan maupun kebersihan lingkungan sekitar. Tingginya minat masyarakat terhadap sabun khususnya sabun cuci piring, menjadikan terbukanya peluang usaha untuk memproduksi sabun untuk memenuhi kebutuhan masyarakat tersebut. Pemberdayaan masyarakat terutama kelompok ibu-ibu PKK untuk memproduksi sabun cuci piring bisa dilakukan karena pembuatan sabun cuci piring yang relatif mudah dipelajari dan diproduksi. Akan tetapi, pengetahuan masyarakat tentang bahan kimia dan proses produksi sabun cuci piring masih sangat minim. Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah untuk memberikan wawasan tentang peluang usaha rumahan dan keterampilan pembuatan sabun cuci piring pada ibu-ibu PKK. Kelompok mitra kegiatan ini adalah ibu-ibu PKK di Desa Kutuwetan Kabupaten Ponorogo. Dengan kegiatan ini diharapkan mampu meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat khususnya dalam bidang ekonomi serta menumbuhkan kesadaran dan kemandirian dalam berwirausaha. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan pengabdian bagi masyarakat ini meliputi koordinasi dengan mitra, penyuluhan, pelatihan pembuatan sabun cair serta evaluasi dan tindak lanjut. Hasil dari kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini yaitu berupa produk sabun cuci piring yang telah dimasukkan kemasan dan dibagikan pada warga sekitar. Selain itu, tercapainya kelompok mitra yang telah memiliki keterampilan dalam pembuatan sabun cuci piring.

One program that can be implemented by the community in an effort to improve family welfare, especially in the field of  food is the planting and utilization program of Family Medicinal Plants (TOGA). TOGA is a home-grown plant that has medicinal properties. TOGA planting can be done in pots or on land around the house. The Kelurahan Kenali Asam Bawah  is one of the Kelurahan in Kota Baru Subdistrict where the community in the region generally still has a large enough yard, so that the utilization and management of the environment can be optimized by planting TOGA. Based on field observations, the Dasawiwma group did not have a pilot family of medicinal plants. Some of them also do not understand the efficacy of TOGA scientifically. Therefore it is necessary to conduct socialization / counseling about the efficacy of TOGA so that people can have knowledge about the efficacy of TOGA. The target of this community service activity is the dasawisma group d RT 047 The target target is 10 people in one dasawima group especially in Kelurahan Kenali Asam Bawah. The aim of community service is expected after participating in the socialization of Dasawisma The group leader is able to understand and be willing to motivate his group members about the importance of planting TOGA. The results obtained with the procurement of plants and the socialization of the use of the TOGA 100% increased knowledge of the participants

Used cooking oil contains compounds that are carcinogenic which pose a risk to human health. Waste cooking oil is also at risk for areas where used cooking oil is disposed, for example into sewers or into the ground. This can contaminate soil and water, thereby endangering humans or the surrounding environment. Therefore, serious action is needed on the use of used cooking oil waste so that it can be utilized optimally as a staple in the soap processing process. Through community service activities which are one of the implementations of the Tridharma of Politeknik Kesehatan Muhammadiyah Makassar Study Program of Medical Laboratory Technology, then education is carried out in the form of counseling to the taklim assembly team at the Al-Hidayah Perumnas Antang Makassar Mosque regarding the use of used cooking oil into solid laundry soap. From this community service activity, it can be concluded that the knowledge of the taklim team at the Al-Hidayah Mosque in Manggala Village, Manggala District, Makassar City regarding the dangers of used cooking oil waste for health and how to process used cooking oil into solid  soap.

The purpose of this community service activity scheme for the Regional Superior Product Development Program is to overcome the problem of the Malay tapai partner since 2008, namely the texture of the prouduk that hardens before expiration, the processing process is still conventional and the packaging process is inefficient and ineffective. This greatly affects the efforts of PPPUD partners in advancing their business. The methods used are training, mentoring and activity evaluation. The result of this activity is that the texture of the tapai Malay diamond is softer and more durable using Stabilex BR. The processing process is more efficient because partners use a crystallization evaporator which can save 3 hours with the same quantity of dough. The packaging of tapai malay diamonds has undergone a more contemporary change and shortens the time in the packaging and consumption process in the minds of consumers. This PPPUD activity is very beneficial for partners, it is proven that the problems faced by PPPUD partners can be resolved properly, this is the important role of academics in advancing SMEs.

The abundance of wood supplies as the main raw material in the manufacture of furniture should encourage people in Samarinda City to look at this business as a promising business. But in reality, the development of the furniture business in Samarinda City is still far behind when compared to other cities. One of the factors causing the underdevelopment of this industry is the low capacity of human resources. Realizing the problems, the community service team in collaboration with partners (Meubel Berkah Ghegan) aimed to provide molding training to the community around the Politeknik Negeri Samarinda. The training is carried out in seven work steps, socialization, determination of furniture types, design / design, material checking, wood cleaning and drying, material processing, and finishing. This service activity improves the skills of participants in designing and producing furniture, increases knowledge about furniture making techniques with modern tools, and provides insight related to furniture business opportunities in Samarinda City.
