Abstract Background: To develop a set of R scripts that could efficiently and accurately identify the home page information of medical records and perform China Healthcare Security Diagnosis Related Groups (CHS-DRG) simulating grouping.Methods: Based on the CHS-DRG grouping rules, we abstracted the DRG grouping process into a standard algorithm and compiled the R script Z-DRG. The DRG simulating groupings by Z-DRG were compared with the DRG results from the regional CHS-DRG integrated service platform to evaluate the accuracy.Results: The Z-DRG includes one function module (zdrgfun. Rc), one operation module (zdrgpro. R) and one database form (zdrgcodes.RData). The function module set 7 algorithm steps and 8 custom functions. The functions were set for multiple diagnoses, multiple operations, joint diagnosis and operation. Only (17.85±0.11) milliseconds were taken for CHS-DRG simulating grouping of one case. Compared with the regional CHS-DRG results, the accuracy rate was 99.10%. The difference in the number of other diagnoses is the main reason that affected the accuracy.Conclusions: Z-DRG is easy to operate. The CHS-DRG simulating groupings were efficient and accurate. The simulation results could be effectively applied for medical institutions to carry out CHS-DRG grouping prediction and improve the implementation effect of CHS-DRG payment work.

AbstractIn this paper, the rigorous derivations of generalized coupled chiral nonlinear Schrödinger equations (CCNLSEs) and their modulation instability analysis have been explored theoretically and computationally. With the consideration of Maxwell’s equations and Post’s constitutive relations, a generalized CCNLSE has been derived, which describes the evolution of left-handed circularly polarized (LCP) and right-handed circularly polarized (RCP) components propagating through single-core nonlinear chiral fiber. The analysis of modulation instability in nonlinear chiral fiber has been investigated starting from CCNLSEs. Based on a theoretical model and numerical simulations, the difference on the modulation instability gain spectrum in LCP and RCP components through chiral fiber has been analyzed by considering loss and chirality into account. The obtained simulation results have shown that the loss distorts the sidebands of the modulation instability gain spectrum, while chirality modulates the gain for LCP and RCP components in a different manner. This suggests that adjusting chirality strength may control the loss, and nonlinearity simultaneously provides stable modulated pulse propagation.

Postharvest kiwifruit continues to ripen for a period until it reaches the optimal “eating ripe” stage. Without damaging the fruit, it is very difficult to identify the ripeness of postharvest kiwifruit by conventional means. In this study, an electronic nose (E-nose) with 10 metal oxide semiconductor (MOS) gas sensors was used to predict the ripeness of postharvest kiwifruit. Three different feature extraction methods (the max/min values, the difference values and the 70th s values) were employed to discriminate kiwifruit at different ripening times by linear discriminant analysis (LDA), and results showed that the 70th s values method had the best performance in discriminating kiwifruit at different ripening stages, obtaining a 100% original accuracy rate and a 99.4% cross-validation accuracy rate. Partial least squares regression (PLSR), support vector machine (SVM) and random forest (RF) were employed to build prediction models for overall ripeness, soluble solids content (SSC) and firmness. The regression results showed that the RF algorithm had the best performance in predicting the ripeness indexes of postharvest kiwifruit compared with PLSR and SVM, which illustrated that the E-nose data had high correlations with overall ripeness (training: R2 = 0.9928; testing: R2 = 0.9928), SSC (training: R2 = 0.9749; testing: R2 = 0.9143) and firmness (training: R2 = 0.9814; testing: R2 = 0.9290). This study demonstrated that E-nose could be a comprehensive approach to predict the ripeness of postharvest kiwifruit through aroma volatiles.

Abstract Repetitive motion planning (RMP) is important in operating redundant robotic manipulators. In this paper, a new RMP scheme that is based on the pseudoinverse formulation is proposed for redundant robotic manipulators. Such a scheme is derived from the discretization of an existing RMP scheme by utilizing the difference formula. Then, theoretical analysis and results are presented to show the characteristic of the proposed RMP scheme. That is, this scheme possesses the characteristic of cube pattern in the end-effector planning precision. The proposed RMP scheme is further extended and studied for redundant robotic manipulators under joint constraint. Based on a four-link robotic manipulator, simulation results substantiate the effectiveness and superiority of the proposed RMP scheme and its extended one.

This paper introduces a new technique for analyzing the behavior of global interconnects in FPGAs, for nanoscale technologies. Using this new enhanced modeling method, new enhanced accurate expressions for calculating the propagation delay of global interconnects in nano-FPGAs have been derived. In order to verify the proposed model, we have performed the delay simulations in 45 nm, 65 nm, 90 nm, and 130 nm technology nodes, with our modeling method and the conventional Pi-model technique. Then, the results obtained from these two methods have been compared with HSPICE simulation results. The obtained results show a better match in the propagation delay computations for global interconnects between our proposed model and HSPICE simulations, with respect to the conventional techniques such as Pi-model. According to the obtained results, the difference between our model and HSPICE simulations in the mentioned technology nodes is (0.29–22.92)%, whereas this difference is (11.13–38.29)% for another model.

Flood disaster is a dangerous disaster, an event that occurs due to overflow of water resulting in submerged land is called a flood disaster. Almost every year Bantul Regency is affected by floods due to high rainfall. The flood disaster that struck in Bantul Regency made the Bantul District Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) difficult to handle so that it needed a mapping of the level of the impact of the flood disaster to minimize the occurrence of floods and provide information to the public.This study will create a system to map the level of impact of floods in Bantul Regency with a decision support method namely Multi Attribute Utility Theory (MAUT). The MAUT method stage in determining the level of impact of flood disasters through the process of normalization and matrix multiplication. The method helps in determining the areas affected by floods, by managing the Indonesian Disaster Information Data (DIBI). The data managed is data on criteria for the death toll, lost victims, damage to houses, damage to public facilities, and damage to roads. Each criteria data has a value that can be used to determine the level of impact of a flood disaster. The stages for determining the level of impact of a disaster require a weighting calculation process. The results of the weighting process display the scoring value which has a value of 1 = low, 2 = moderate, 3 = high. To assist in determining the affected areas using the matrix normalization and multiplication process the process is the application of the Multi Attribute Utility Theory (MAUT) method.This study resulted in a mapping of the level of impact displayed on google maps. The map view shows the affected area points and the level of impact of the flood disaster in Bantul Regency. The mapping produced from the DIBI data in 2017 produced the highest affected area in the Imogiri sub-district. The results of testing the data can be concluded that the results of this study have an accuracy rate of 95% when compared with the results of the mapping previously carried out by BPBD Bantul Regency. The difference in the level of accuracy is because the criteria data used are not the same as the criteria data used by BPBD in Bantul Regency so that the accuracy rate is 95%.

Background: Amblyopia is more common in children with high astigmatism, but factors contributing to development of amblyopia and visual outcomes are not fully understood. Objective: To evaluate the effect of amblyopia on the clinical outcomes in children with ⩾1.75 diopter (D) astigmatism. Methods: We reviewed the medical records of children with ⩾1.75 D astigmatism with and without amblyopia (amblyopes group and non-amblyopes group). The mean age, gender, amount and type of ocular deviation, presence of convergence insufficiency (CI), stereopsis, time of initial spectacle use and follow-up time, differences in best-corrected visual acuity (VoD) and spherical equivalent (SE) between eyes were assessed and compared between the groups. Best-corrected visual acuity (BCVA), mean SE, astigmatism measurements were assessed and compared between amblyopic, fellow, and non-amblyopic eyes. Results: The records included 68 eyes of 34 children with amblyopia and 56 eyes of 28 children without amblyopia. The mean age, gender, amount and type of ocular deviation, presence of CI, stereopsis, time of initial spectacle use, follow-up time, and the difference in SE did not differ between groups. In amblyopes, exodeviation was more common and statistically greater in near (33 cm) than at distance (6 m) (p = 0.005). The mean BCVA and astigmatism values were statistically different between amblyopic, fellow, and non-amblyopic eyes. Conclusion: A greater near than distance exodeviation and higher mean astigmatism value were found in amblyopic children with astigmatism.

The construction of bridges and other structures across the river will affect the flood discharge capacity and local water potential of the river.Based on navier-Stokes equation of MIKE21FM hydrodynamic module, this paper carries out two-dimensional numerical simulation of part of Shixi River. By optimizing the grid near the piers to reduce the difference brought by the terrain generalized grid of the real river, it simulates and analyzes the length of the curve of yong-high and Yong-water under different flood frequencies,the Nash-Sutcliffe efficiency coefficient and relative error analysis are used to verify the rationality of the results. The simulation results can accurately reflect the real changes of river water level, It provides a theoretical basis for flood impact analysis.

<p class="abstract"><strong>Background:</strong> Septoplasty is a common procedure in the field of otolaryngology for treatment of septal deviations. Intranasal splints and trans-septal quilting suture are commonly utilized to prevent post-operative complications. The silicone splint is a quick and simple technique to aid in cartilage support; however, it can cause discomfort. Trans-septal quilting suture is more available, well-tolerated and can help in mucosal tear closure, though is time-consuming. This study aimed to compare the efficacy of intranasal silicone splints versus quilting suture in the prevention of post endoscopic septoplasty complications.</p><p class="abstract"><strong>Methods:</strong> This was a retrospective COHORT study comprised of patients who underwent endoscopic septoplasty between January 2017 and December 2019 at Qatif central hospital. The patients were assigned into two groups: group S, who received intranasal splints and group Q, who received trans-septal quilting suturing. Patients’ medical records were reviewed for evaluation of post-operative visits and post-operative nasal endoscopic video recordings from the image archive software were evaluated to document complications. Statistical analysis was conducted using SPSS 23.0 software.</p><p class="abstract"><strong>Results:</strong> The study included 65 patients, of whom 41 were in group S and 24 were in group Q. None of the patients had major bleeding, local infection or mucosal synechia. There was a higher complication rate in terms of mucosal crustation, septal hematoma and perforation among group S; however, the difference was not statistically significant.</p><p class="abstract"><strong>Conclusions:</strong> We conclude that trans-septal quilting suture and intranasal silicone splints are both equally effective in preventing complications following septoplasty.</p>

Abstract A prototype of a single-gap glass Resistive Plate Chamber (RPC) is constructed by the authors. To find the requirements for better operation of the detector's gas system, we have simulated the flow of the Argon gas through the detector by using computational fluid dynamic methods. Simulations show that the pressure inside the chamber linearly depends on the gas flow rate and the chamber's output hose length. The simulation results were compatible with experiments. We have found that the pressure-driven speed of the gas molecules is two orders of magnitude larger in the inlet and outlet regions than the blocked corners of a 14 × 14 cm2 chamber, and most likely the difference in speed is higher for larger detectors and different geometries.

With the development of electromagnetic simulation software and affordable hardware, it is allowed for us to complete simulations for EMC purposes. However, simulation demands will be immense when simulations for models with complex structures, especially aircraft components, have to be solved. Hence, it is meaningful to investigate how to minimize the computational demands. One of the solutions to reduce the simulation expense is the simplification for the simulated model. But the simplified model should be guaranteed to provide credible simulation results which do not deviate from the original model apparently. Generally, the difference between the simulation results and experimental data is estimated, or if the experimental conditions are not achieved, the comparison between the simplified model and the original one has to be analyzed, at least. This paper explores the electromagnetic simulation of a turbofan engine encountering lightning strike. With the simplifications of different components on the turbofan engine, the influences on induced currents of engine controller cables are simulated and analyzed based on the transmission-line matrix method. A combining method of components removal and geometric structure simplification is proposed to simplify the whole engine model. Simplified components include compressor, combustion chamber, turbine, and nozzle. The effects of different simplification methods are quantified, and the rationality of the simplified model is verified by simulation analysis.
