Abstract Background: To evaluate the quality, reliability, comprehensiveness and accuracy of the popular science information related to the Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) on the Chinese website.Methods: Searching for scientific articles with the keywords of "novel coronavirus pneumonia" in Baidu, Sogou and 360 search engine at 14:00 on May 22, 2020, and collecting information such as article source, length, upload time, etc. Using JAMA score and 5-point DISCERN scale, two specialists independently analyzed the reliability and quality of scientific articles. Combined with the "Novel Coronavirus Pneumonia Diagnosis and Treatment Program (Trial Version 6)", we made corresponding evaluation on the comprehensiveness and accuracy of articles. Results: A total of 45 scientific articles were included in the study. The average number of words is 2692.27±1267.61, and the average upload time is 11.8±10.80 days. Those popular scientific articles are mainly uploaded by government agencies and individuals. However, the JAMA score, DISCERN score, content comprehensiveness and accuracy of the articles were generally low. Among the 45 popular scientific articles, 27 articles were classified as accurate-content group and 18 articles were classified as misleading-content group. Scientific articles of accurate-content groups mainly came from government agencies, universities and hospitals. The publication date of articles in the accurate-content group is closer, the scores of JAMA, DISCERN and content comprehensiveness were higher (P<0.05). The results also showed that JAMA score, DISCERN score, content comprehensiveness and accuracy of popular science articles uploaded by government agencies, universities and hospitals were higher (P<0.05). The results indicated that there was a significant positive correlation between the scores of JAMA, DISCERN, comprehensiveness and accuracy (P<0.05). Conclusion: Although there are many scientific articles related to the novel coronavirus pneumonia on the Chinese website, the overall detection rate of high-quality scientific articles were low. We are Looking forward to more high-quality medical scientific articles published by government agencies, universities and hospitals. It is suggested that search engines adopt a more optimized sorting method to help more readers get high-quality information.

<b><i>Background:</i></b> Pediatric endocrine practices had to rapidly transition to telemedicine care at the onset of the novel coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic. For many, it was an abrupt introduction to providing virtual healthcare, with concerns related to quality of patient care, patient privacy, productivity, and compensation, as workflows had to change. <b><i>Summary:</i></b> The review summarizes the common adaptations for telemedicine during the pandemic with respect to the practice of pediatric endocrinology and discusses the benefits and potential barriers to telemedicine. <b><i>Key Messages:</i></b> With adjustments to practice, telemedicine has allowed providers to deliver care to their patients during the COVID-19 pandemic. The broader implementation of telemedicine in pediatric endocrinology practice has the potential for expanding patient access. Research assessing the impact of telemedicine on patient care outcomes in those with pediatric endocrinology conditions will be necessary to justify its continued use beyond the COVID-19 pandemic.

Changes in work of the clinical expert department of the Khabarovsk branch of the S. Fyodorov Eye Microsurgery Federal State Institution (the Khabarovsk branch) in the context of a pandemic of the novel coronavirus disease were analyzed in the article. The difficulties that have appeared in all sections of the work performed are described, both medical and expert: the time for checking the quality of filling out medical documentation has increased due to the identification of a larger number of defects; the time for medical control and discharge of patients from the hospital has increased due to the impossibility of accumulating patients in one place and the need to maintain social distance; difficulties arose in working with experts from insurance companies due to the lack of direct communication (medical records are checked outside the Khabarovsk branch). The concern of people about the possibility of carrying out surgical treatment in conditions of coronavirus infection was expressed in an increase in the information load of the «Question - Answer» section on the website of the Khabarovsk branch and, accordingly, on the doctors in the clinical expert department working with it. Key words: pandemic, COVID-19, SARSCoV-2, anti-epidemic measures, personal protective equipment, social distance, treatment control, medical documentation, medical and economic expertise.

Введение. В последние 2 года серьезной проблемой для всего мирового сообщества стало распространение новой коронавирусной (CoV) инфекции COVID-19 (COrona VIrus Disease-2019). Ввиду сложившихся событий в лечении COVID-19 активно стали применяться новые молекулы и уже зарегистрированные лекарственные препараты, доказавшие свою эффективность при других заболеваниях. Цель исследования: оценить эффективность применения препарата экулизумаб у пациентов с тяжелой формой течения COVID-19. Материалы и методы. Проанализированы 3 клинических случая применения препарата экулизумаб в составе комплексной терапии у пациентов с тяжелой формой течения COVID-19. Для оценки эффективности лечения проводился мониторинг основных клинико-лабораторных показателей, а также показателей, характеризующих воспалительный процесс при коронавирусной инфекции: общий анализ крови, биохимический анализ крови, проанализированы уровни таких показателей как ферритин, С-реактивный белок, интерлейкин-6, лактатдегидрогеназа и мембраноатакующий комплекс. Результаты. На фоне проводимой терапии выявлено снижение концентрации основных маркеров воспаления относительно исходных значений. Заключение. Комплексная терапия, включающая экулизумаб, облегчает течение заболевания, позволяет сократить длительность пребывания пациентов в отделении реанимации и интенсивной терапии, укорачивает срок их пребывания на искусственной вентиляции легких, тем самым снижая процент летальности. Background. In the past two years, the incidence of the novel coronavirus (CoV) infection COVID-19 (COrona Virus Disease-2019) has been a serious problem for the global community. Considering these circumstances, new molecules and already registered drugs that have proven their effectiveness in other diseases, began to be actively used in COVID-19 treatment. Objectives: to assess the effi cacy of eculizumab in patients with severe COVID-19. Patients/Methods. Three clinical cases of eculizumab use as a part of complex therapy in patients with severe COVID-19 have been analyzed. To assess the treatment efficacy, the main clinical and laboratory parameters and indicators of inflammatory process in coronavirus infection were monitored (clinical blood analysis, biochemical blood test, levels of ferritin, C-reactive protein, interleukin-6, lactate dehydrogenase and membrane attack complex). Results. Under the therapy we found the reduction of concentration of the main inflammation markers relative to the initial values. Conclusions. Complex therapy with eculizumab facilitates the course of the disease, reduces the stay duration of patients in the intensive care unit, shortens the period of artificial lung ventilation, thereby reducing the mortality rate.

Nora Ikstena’s “Mātes piens” (Mother’s Milk; published in English as Soviet Milk) is one of the novels in the book series “MĒS. Latvija, XX gadsimts” (We. Latvia. The 20th Century). It describes the difficulties that can arise in the mother-daughter relationship, describes the Soviet time’s environment and its impact on everyday life. The historical novel “Mātes piens” has been published in 25 countries, which means that this novel has been translated into many different cultures, which are less familiar with the mentality of the Latvian people and the USSR times in Latvia. Therefore, it is crucial how the text is translated or whether the style and the particular poetics of Nora Ikstena’s language in this novel are accurately reproduced. Therefore, the scientific research work “Quality of Translated Comparisons of Nora Ikstena’s “Soviet Milk” and “Молоко матери”” was developed. Comparisons requiring the translator to take into account both the content and the meaning of the words were analysed, as well as the aspect of language imagery and culture. The novel was translated into English by Margita Gailīts, and into Russian by Ludmila Nukņeviča. The events of the novel “Soviet Milk” take place from the end of the Second World War until the 1980s. The main character is a daughter, whose story is intertwined with the life stories of her mother and grandmother. The novel portrays the daughter’s struggle with her mother’s depression, which has deprived her of emotional intimacy with her mother since birth; the daughter continues to hope and gain her mother’s love, helping in times of crisis and ignoring several rejections. Although the translation process is very old, the question about the translation quality is still relevant. Using sources of information and gaining theoretical knowledge of the translation process, an error estimation method was developed that allows the word “quality” to be quantified. Literary translation is mostly separated from other translation types and put into a separate category, usually because the meaning of a literary work cannot be clarified in simple terms presented today. It is also difficult to analyse what the reader expects from the translation. Since there cannot be one right way of translating literature, the sense of the translator’s ethical duty to the author is the most important. However, this is very limited by how well the translator understands the author’s intentions and what is said and how much freedom the translator is given to change the text to find the most appropriate way to express the idea in the language. (Sager 1994) Four groups were divided by Juliane House’s theory (House 2014; House 2017) about overt errors. Text translation errors are divided into 2 categories – covert and overt. Covert errors are difficult to notice because, superficially, from a grammatical point of view, the sentence is correct, but its content is not logical or acceptable. The overt errors detected are obvious, constitute a systematic error. Overt errors are divided into 7 groups: 1 – not translated; 2 – a slight change in meaning; 3 – a significant change in meaning; 4 – distortion of meaning; 5 – breach of SL system; 6 – creative translation; 7 – cultural filtering. 64 comparisons in Latvian, 64 equivalents in Russian, and 55 equivalents in English were excerpted (9 comparisons were not translated). Translations of comparisons were divided into 4 groups: 1) accurately translated, 2) translations with minor changes, 3) culturally harmonized translations, 4) untranslated comparisons. Translations of comparisons that scored 5 points or more are considered qualitatively translated, given that there are no significant errors. There is no single fundamental criterion for the quality of a translation against which all translated texts can be judged. There are several definitions of quality translation, and quality is affected by many factors. The translations of comparisons in both foreign languages (English and Russian) are of high quality; they received high marks if they were analysed according to the error evaluation table because the maximum number of points that could be obtained was 6 points and no comparative translation was lower than 5 points. The Russian translation is more successful (comparative translations more often scored 6 points) than the English translation, which can be justified by the fact that the Russian language is historically and geographically a neighbor of the Latvian language, but the English language and culture are remote. Phraseological comparisons are translated literally and also more accurately into Russian; there are more of the same equivalents in the target culture. When evaluating comparisons that use the concepts of biblical story motifs or images of Greek mythology, they are mostly accurately translated into the target languages, as the target cultures are well acquainted with this religion and Greek mythology. One of the most important findings – not only literal translations are of high quality; it is much more important to express them in a way that is understandable to the target culture while maintaining the author’s writing style and the text’s main idea, paying attention to details.

Aim: To develop a nursing early warning system in children’s hospital during the outbreak of the novel coronavirus pneumonia, and to accomplish the construction and application of this system, so as to provide decision-support of the prevention and control for COVID-19 in children’s medical institutions. Method: Children’s hospital nursing early warning system was divided into three modules: hospital nursing early warning platform includes internal and external early warning platform, nursing staff early warning program includes protection, human resources early warning plan and patient early warning program includes outpatient, emergency and ward early warning plan. The data of epidemic training, assessment, prevention and control screening from January to June 2020 were collected from the nursing early warning system to evaluate the application effect of the system. Results: A total of 18 procedures and specifications were formulated, nine hospital-level trainings and about 1000 department-level trainings were organized, two hospital-level assessments (pass rate 95.6% and 98.2%), and 78 nurses were reserved, and 10 popular science articles, five popular science videos were published during the application of the nursing early warning system. A total of 583,435 children and 139,308 caregivers were screened in outpatient, emergency and wards during pre-checks, 2385 suspected cases of novel coronavirus pneumonia were confirmed (0.41%) after the screening and 1 case (0.0002%) was finally confirmed. Conclusion: The nursing early warning system of children’s hospital can prevent and control the novel coronavirus pneumonia epidemic from each module, ensure early warning and triage of suspected infected patients, reduce the risk of cross-infection in hospital and improve the safety of the children’s hospital medical environment.

Objective: The quality of original clinical trial publications pertaining to the use of oral antifungal agents to treat onychomycosis was evaluated using predetermined criteria. Methods: The list of studies included in this analysis was determined by conducting a search in Medline. For each clinical trial, two independent reviewers each determined a composite score by evaluating a list of criteria that were felt to represent a good study, for example, randomization and blinding, prior sample size calculated, and treatment regimen clearly explained. A citation count was performed to determine whether higher-quality papers were cited more often than lower-quality papers. Results: Forty-five studies were included in this quality analysis of study design. Of these, 27 were considered to be “high quality” (score greater than or equal to 11 out of 20). A significant correlation coefficient of 0.997 was found between the two reviewers ( P < 0.00001). Higher-quality papers were cited significantly more often than lower-quality papers ( P = 0.03). Conclusion: The scale that we use to evaluate the quality of onychomycosis studies has high interrater reliability. According to this scale, many published studies (18 out of 45) pertaining to treatments for onychomycosis do not meet the criteria required to be considered “high quality.”

The practical recommendations can be useful for the process of selection of the high quality raw materials. The criteria for the quality control of the chocolate confectionery products have been given. Some ways to improve the quality of he chocolate confectionery products have been discussed.

Abstract Background: The novel coronavirus SARS‐CoV‐2 (severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2) and its associated disease COVID‐19 (Corona Virus Disease 19) has become a worldwide pandemic since its first cases in December 2019 in Wuhan Province in China. In Germany the pandemic started in February 2020.Case presentation: A 4 year old boy was presented and suffered from pain in the right hip. Arthrosonography demonstrated a significant effusion in the involved joint. The extended history revealed a slight but long lasting cold before. Serological findings were inconspicuous except for positive ELISA (Enzyme-linked Immuno Sorbent Assay) - test for SARS-CoV-2. Conclusion: In conclusion we believe that we can report the first case of reactive arthritis associated with SARS-CoV-2 in children.

Promoting a healthy immune system by eating a regular high-quality diet would make it quicker and easier to fend off disease. Immune function plays an important role in micronutrients and antioxidants, such as iron, zinc, vitamin D, vitamins A, E and C, and phytochemicals, including beta-carotene. A well-working immune system against diseases as COVID 19.

The aim of the study was to research the hyperbaric oxygenation effect on the condition of patients in the course of complex treatment aimed at rehabilitation after suffering from COVID-19 pneumonia. Results: the impact of hyperbaric oxygenation on the body of patients who have suffered from the novel coronavirus infection provides a positive dynamics and improves their quality of life. Conclusion: in the process of rehabilitating patients who have undergone the new coronavirus infection, it is necessary to use various physiotherapeutic measures, including hyperbaric oxygenation.
