The health sector in Morocco is marked by many achievements, but also by large deficits, especially in terms of healthcare expenditures borne by individuals. With the introduction of Islamic banks (called participative banks) in Morocco, the study aims to determine the extent to which Ijara Forward, as an Islamic financial contract, is adapted to the expectations of Moroccans to finance their health expenditures. The study sample consisted of 200 individuals. The univariate and bivariate analyses are used to identify possible relationships between the study variables. In addition, this paper proposes a model that will predict the demand for Ijara Forward based on the logistic regression method. The results reveal that the financial characteristics of the Ijara Forward contract are in line with the financial expectations of Moroccan individuals. Furthermore, the cost of health services is the main factor that makes healthcare inaccessible. This factor influences the demand of Ijara Forward. In addition, this paper reveals that religious beliefs stimulate Ijara Forward’s demand and encourages people to pay a higher price for Ijara Forward.

Analysis of the amount of financing the hajj bailout for the cost of the pilgrimage (Case Study of Bank Sumut Syariah Sub-Branch Stabat).Asmawarna Sinaga and Anjur Perkasa Alam. Hajj financing is a loan from a sharia bank to customers to cover the shortage of funds to obtain a seat (seat) Hajj at the time of repayment BPIH (Hajj Travel Expenses). This financing product uses the Qardh Wal Ijarah principle. The purpose of this research is to know the view of Islamic law against financing of Hajj bailout fund and to know the view of Islamic law about ujrah fee on akad of bailout fund of Hajj. This research is field research. The definition of the Hajj bailout is a bailout fund from a bank to a special customer to cover kekurangandana to cover the lack of funds to obtain a portion number at the time to pay the cost of organizing the pilgrimage. The research design uses a qualitative approach with non-statistical analysis While the data analysis techniques use content analysis and interactive methods consisting of data reduction, data collection, data presentation and conclusion. The results of this study note that the akad bailout funds in Islamic banks contain multi-akad, where the contract used qardh and ijarah is allowed. While the view of Islamic law regarding the taking of ujrah fee on hajj bailout fund is not in accordance with sharia due to the percentage of ujrah fee based on qardh fund.

The effect of government spending on population’s health has received attention over the past decades. This study re-examines the link between government health expenditures and health outcomes to establish whether government intervention in the health sector improves outcomes. The study uses annual data for the period 1980–2014 on Ghana. The ordinary least squares (OLS) and the two-stage least squares (2SLS) estimators are employed for analyses; the regression estimates are then used to conduct cost-effectiveness analysis. The results show that, aside from income, public health expenditure contributed to the improvements in health outcomes in Ghana for the period. We find that, overall, increasing public health expenditure by 10% averts 0.102–4.4 infant and under-five deaths in every 1000 live births while increasing life expectancy at birth by 0.77–47 days in a year. For each health outcome indicator, the effect of income dominates that of public spending. The cost per childhood mortality averted ranged from US$0.20 to US$16, whereas the cost per extra life year gained ranged from US$7 to US$593.33 (2005 US$) during the period. Although the health effect of income outweighs that of public health spending, high (and rising) income inequality makes government intervention necessary. In this respect, development policy should consider raising health sector investment inter alia to improve health conditions.

Entrepreneurs, especially in developing societies, which include many Muslim countries among their fold, face a herculean task in up-scaling their businesses due to a lack of capital to procure relevant assets to grow their businesses. The world Islamic banks’ competitiveness report (2016) identified poor financial inclusion as one of the critical factors responsible for the uneven distribution of wealth in the Muslim world. This study presents the Murābaḥah-Taʻāwun financing product as an innovative addition to the range of financial products available on the Islamic banking shelf to reduce the incidence of poverty. Murābaḥah-Taʻāwun is operationalized where a group of entrepreneurs contribute funds together under a recognized Islamic bank while allowing every partner access to the fund on a rotational basis for the purchase of an asset according to a pre-defined arrangement. The study highlighted the importance of Murābaḥah-Taʻ''āwun as an Islamic financial contract by reviewing relevant extant literature. The proposed product shows that greater financial inclusion can be achieved without recourse to riba and thus will reduce poverty among Muslims.

Bank XYZ is one of the banks in Kupang City, East Nusa Tenggara Province which has several ATM machines and is placed in several merchant locations. The existing ATM machine is one of the goals of customers and non-customers in conducting transactions at the ATM machine. The placement of the ATM machines sometimes makes the machine not used optimally by the customer to transact, causing the disposal of machine resources and a condition called Not Operational Transaction (NOP). With the data consisting of several independent variables with numeric types, it is necessary to know how the classification of the dependent variable is NOP. Machine learning approach with Logistic Regression method is the solution in doing this classification. Some research steps are carried out by collecting data, analyzing using machine learning using python programming and writing reports. The results obtained with this machine learning approach is the resulting prediction value of 0.507 for its classification. This means that in the future XYZ Bank can classify NOP conditions based on the behavior of customers or non-customers in making transactions using Bank XYZ ATM machines.

The purpose of this study was to answer the research question "How is the prediction of Talent Performance in the following year with the application of People Analytics?" and knowing the description of employees who are potential talents, the resulting performance contributions, to the description of the development and retention efforts needed by Talent in order to be able to maintain their future performance and position as Talents compared to the previous People Analytics method using predictive analysis, namely prediction of Talent Performance in the year next. In this study, data analysis using the Multivariate Logistic Regression method is used to get the Prediction of the Performance of Talents who become the object of research in the form of individual performance quickly and precisely in accordance with the patterns drawn by individual Performance score data in previous years. And can provide insight regarding the projected strategies that need to be done to maintain the improvement of individual talent performance in the years of the assessment period. It also helps management in making decisions about the right Talent development program and determining which Talents are priorities. The population in this study were the talents of employees of PT. Angkasa Pura II (Persero) with a managerial level consisting of: Senior Leader, Middle Leader, and First Line Leader who has a Person Grade (PG) range of 13 to 21. The sample used is Middle Leader level talent with specified criteria and through a process data cleansing. The results of this study indicate that the variable that significantly affects the performance of the following year is the performance of the previous 2 years. Then prediction analysis can be done using these independent variables with the Multinomial Logistic Regression method, and to get prediction results with better accuracy can be done by the Random Forest method.

As students who have an educational background in Islamic Economics, each has a different perception of Islamic Banking. There are still students who compare Islamic banks and conventional banks, a doubt toward the operational saving system, financing or discounting, and the existence of conventional Banks being more affordable than Islamic banks in remote areas. This study aimed to examine the effect of religiosity on students' interest in saving in Islamic banks. This type of research was quantitative with data analysis using a simple regression method. The results showed that the t count was 14,832, and the t table was 1,975 < t count 14,832 with a significance of 0.000 under 0.05. Therefore, it concluded that religiosity significantly affects the saving interest of students at Islamic Banks.

Aim. To develop a mathematical equation (algorithm) to predict the development of chronic heart failure (CHF) for three years, depending on the clinical phenotype.Material and methods. Three hundred forty five patients with CHF with a different left ventricular ejection fraction (preserved, mean, low) were examined. The control group included somatically healthy individuals (n=60). In all patients, 48 parameters that most widely characterize the pathogenesis of CHF (gender-anamnestic, clinical, instrumental, biochemical) were analyzed. To isolate phenotypes, dispersive and cluster analysis was used: the hierarchical classification method and the k-means method. In the development of algorithms we used binary logistic regression method. We used ROC curve to assess the quality of the obtained algorithms.Results. We identified four phenotypes in patients with CHF: fibro-rigid, fibro-inflammatory, inflammatory-destructive, dilated-maladaptive. For the first three phenotypes, a mathematical logistic regression method was used to develop mathematical models for predicting the progression of CHF for three years, with the release of predictors for each phenotype. Belonging to the dilatedmaladaptive phenotype according to the results of the analysis is already an indicator of an unfavorable prognosis in patients with CHF.Conclusion. The developed algorithms based on the selected phenotypes have high diagnostic sensitivity and specificity and can be recommended for use in clinical practice.

ABSTRACTIslamic banking in Indonesia has experienced significant growth, including assets, financing providedand the number of customers. Murābaḥah is the sale and purchase of goods at the original price with theagreed-upon profit. In murābaḥah the seller must tell the cost of the product he buys and determine anadditional level of profit. This research is a library research about the murābaḥah contract according tomuamalah fiqh and its application in modern Islamic financial institutions. Methods of collecting data indocumentation and various sources related to the murābaḥah contract are then analyzed inductively anddeductively. The results of the study are the murābaḥah foundation is the principle of buying and sellingwith a deferred payment system. Murābaḥah, as used in Sharia banking, is based on two main elements, namely the purchase price and related costs, and the agreement on mark-up (profit). Islamic banks adoptmurābaḥah to provide short-term financing to customers for the purchase of goods even though thecustomer does not have the money to pay. The murābaḥah financing portfolio in Islamic banks reaches 70-80%, but in practice there have never been any problems, including; collateral which is a problem of fiqh, risk dependency as a problem of the bank, bankruptcy and delay in payment are the problems of customers, and profits are too high, namely the problem of coming from the community. Therefore, Islamic banks mustmake improvements in the implementation to be in accordance with Sharia.Keyword : Murābaḥah, Financing Instruments, Modern Islamic Financing
