This research aimed to identify and know the pattern of smartphone usage among university students and pattern of communication they are doing with the smartphone. Quantitative research was used in this study, with descriptive design. Survey was conducted as data collecting method by distributing questionnaires to students of Marketing Communication (Marcomm) department, Faculty of Economic and Communication (FEK), Binus University. As a result, there were 134 questionnaires that can be proceed for data analysis. Sampling technique used in the research was simple random sampling. Since the research used descriptive design, thus the data analysis technique was descriptive statistics. The research is only limited to study the pattern of smartphone usage and pattern of communication among students of Marcomm department, FEK, Binus University, with their smartphone. Given the fact that smartphone has changed people’s behavior in communicating with others, it can be useful for example in developing appealing learning plan in education field, especially for youth. The function of mobile phone has undergone a rapid change with the existence of smartphone. With smartphone, one cannot only perform the traditional types of communication (phone or sms), but also go beyond that. This is due to the features provided by the smartphone which indeed accommodate the person’s needs to communicate each other more than just phone calls. Additionally, with the presence of Internet which has made the smartphone becoming inseparable with human’s life, since it integrates all medium and activities of communication into a single gadget. Smartphone has been proved to change the people’s habit in communicating each other and caused people’s dependency on the presence of this medium.

This research is motivated by the low attitude of the students participating in the PMW (Student Entrepreneurial Program) in running a business, this is presumably because it has something to do with the SEM (Smart Entrepreneur Model) training held by UPKK UNP properly. This study aims to: 1) describe the implementation of SEM (Smart Entrepreneur Model) training; 2) describe the attitudes of PMW participants in running a business; and 3) see the relationship between the Smart Entrepreneur Model Training and the attitudes of PMW participants in running a business. This type of research is quantitative research with correlational descriptive technique. The population of this study were all participants of the Smart Entrepreneur Model training, totaling 85 students. While the research population was 43 students who were taken using simple random sampling technique. Data collection techniques in the form of a Likert scale with data collection tools in the form of a questionnaire. The data analysis technique uses the percentage formula and product-moment correlation. The results showed that: (1) The implementation of the SEM (Smart Entrepreneur Model) training had not been carried out properly, (2) The attitude of the PMW participant students in running a business was relatively low, (3) There was a significant relationship between the SEM (Smart Entrepreneur Model) training and the attitude of PMW participants in running a business. It is recommended to UPKK UNP as the organizer of the SEM (Smart Entrepreneur Model) Training to improve and further improve the implementation of the training to improve students' abilities in entrepreneurship and to PMW participating students to be more active in participating in training so that knowledge and knowledge in entrepreneurship will increase.

This research is purposed to reveal scales of student’s learning motivation contribution and pedagogical competence of teachers grade for computer and information management skills subject at X class SMKN 1 Tilatang Kamang. The type of this research is descriptive correlation. Populations in this research are 164 students, and samples are amount to 62 students of X class SMKN 1 Tilatang Kamang, school of year 2012/2013. Samples are taken by simple random sampling technique. Data were collected by questionnaire and documentation. Data analysis technique in this research is Pearson product moment and multiple-correlation. Results from data analysis claimed that there are contributions from learning motivation and pedagogical competence of teachers grade of computer and information management skills subject at X class SMKN 1 Tilatang Kamang, as follow: (1) student’s learning motivation gives contribution to student’s grade by 21,34%, (2) pedagogical competence of teachers gives contribution to student’s grade by 17,89%, (3) student’s motivation to learn together with pedagogical competence of teachers give contribution to student’s grade by 27,98%. This research suggest that student’s motivation to learn and pedagogical competence of teachers give contribution to student’s grade.

This study aims to examine the effect of role conflict, role ambiguity, and auditor independence on auditor performance. This type of research is quantitative research. The sampling technique was purposive sampling with a sample of 35 respondents from 14 Public Accounting Firms in the Jakarta. The data analysis technique used in this study is a multiple linear regression using the IBM SPSS Statistics version 24 program. The results show that: role conflict does not affect auditor performance, role ambiguity does not affect auditor performance, and auditor independence do not affect auditor performance.

Zakat is one of the pillars of Islam that every capable Muslim must do. One of the institutions that manage zakat funds is the National Zakat Agency (BAZNAS). This study aims to partially and simultaneously examine the effect of promotion and service quality on people's interest in paying zakat through BAZNAS, Indragiri Hilir Regency. This type of research is field research. The data used in this study were primary and secondary. 87 Respondents in this study were Muzakki in BAZNAS Indragiri Hilir Regency. The sampling technique used was simple random sampling. The data collection methods were questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis technique partially used the t-test and simultaneously used the Anova test. The results showed that either partially or simultaneously, promotion and service quality had a significant influence on people's interest in paying zakat in BAZNAS, Indragiri Hilir Regency.

Marital harmony will be difficult to achieve without a good interpersonal relationship between husband and wife. In creating a good interpersonal relationship needs effective communication so as to prevent yourself from situation that could damage the relationship and can lead to not harmonious marriage. This study aimed to determine the relationship between interpersonal communication with marital harmony.   This study is a quantitative research that used a product moment correlation. The sampling technique used is the technique simple random sampling, with 110 subjects. The scale used in this research are scale interpersonal communication and scale marital harmony. Based on the results obtained correlation values (r) of 0,649 with probabilities of 0,000 (p<0,05). The result from test data analysis is that there is a positive and significant correlation between interpersonal communication with marital harmony. The effective contribution to interpersonal communication with marital harmony is 42,2% and the others are 57,8% is influenced by other factors not examined in this study.   Keywords: Interpersonal communication, marriage harmony

This study is to study the effect of internal control and individual morality on fraudulent transportation orders based online at PT. Go-Jek, City of Padang. This research is quantitative research with primary data from questionnaires and using a Likert scale. The population of this research is a car and motorcycle driver, PT. Go-Jek in Padang City. The purposive sampling technique of sampling and a sample of 150 respondents. Data analysis technique is data quality test, classic assumption test and hypothesis test consisting of multiple linear regression tests using SPSS 23.0 for Windows. The results of this study indicate that internal control and individual morality have a negative and significant influence on order fraud

This research aim to determine the effect of brand image, advertising and word of mouth on Wardah cosmetic purchasing decisions in UNIBA surakarta. This research uses quantitative research type. Population of this research is UNIBA female students majoring in economics and taken 100 people as samples. Sampling technique using purposive sampling method. Data were obtained by giving questionnaires to student who use or ever use Wardah cosmetic at least once. Data analysis technique using multiple linier regression. The result of data analysis found that brand image, advertising and Word of mouth have effect to purchasing decision simultaneously or partially. This study's research background aims to determine how much influence discipline, selection, and organizational culture have on employee performance. The object of research was carried out on employees who work at PT United Rope. The population used in this study was 136 employees with a sample of 101 PT United Rope employees who were obtained using a simple random sampling technique using the Slovin formula. Samples were obtained by distributing questionnaires to employees. The independent variables in this study are discipline, selection, organizational culture. The dependent variable in this study is employee performance. The data analysis technique used includes validity test, reliability test, classical assumption test including normality test, multicollinearity test, heteroscedasticity test, data analysis with multiple linear regression, simultaneous test, and partial test. Based on the research results, discipline, selection, and organizational culture have a positive and significant effect on employee performance. The conclusion of this study, variable field, selection, and corporate culture will improve employee performance. Employee performance will increase if employees can be disciplined in carrying out their work. The company can select employees well in occupying a position, and employees who can apply organizational culture properly will have increased performance.

This research is motivated by the phenomenon of class XII students in determining career decision making. This study aims to determine the career decision making for santi class XII Darul Hijrah Putra Martapura Islamic Boarding School. This research is a descriptive quantitative research. The variable contained in this study is career decision making. This research was conducted at the Darul Hijrah Putra Islamic Boarding School with a population of 221 students. the sample in this study were 139 students based on the error level of 5% in the table developed by Isaac and Michael taken using simple random sampling technique. Data collection techniques in this study use a psychological scale with a Likert scaling model that is the scale of career decision making. Data analysis was performed using descriptive statistical techniques with the help of Microsoft Excel calculations. The results of data analysis showed (19%) students had low career decision making, while students who had moderate career decision making (65%) students and students who had high career decision making (16%) students. This is also supported by the highest average value in the aspect of career understanding of 43.86 where most of the students have good career understanding, while the lowest average value in the aspect of career information is 42.1 so that Darul Hijrah Putra Martapura Islamic Boarding School needs provide career information services for students

This study aims to find out how intrinsic and extrinsic motivation affects students of the Social Sciences Department of SMA N I Suliki District in choosing cross-interest of Science. This type of research is quantitative research with descriptive methods. The research instrument is a set of questionnaire. Samples were taken with a total sampling technique, then the subjects of this study were all students of class X majoring in Social Sciences who chose cross interest of Science, amounting to 126 people, data analysis technique is a percentage technique. Based on the results of data analysis, intrinsic motivation that influences the selection of cross-student interests is as follows: based on ideals of 70.58%, based on student abilities of 69.44%, based on student conditions of 70.33%, based on interests of 66.93 %, based on the attitude of 75.06%, while extrinsic motivation that influences the selection of students' cross-interest is as follows; based on family encouragement of 62.56%, encouragement of friends 59.32%, employment opportunities of 69.57% and opportunities to continue study 61.50%. Whereas based on sub-variables, intrinsic motivation was found to influence the cross-selection of scientific interest by 70.48% (in the good category) and extrinsic motivation by 62.75% (in the good category).
