The development of science and technology has had an impact on the ethical joints of Muslims in this modern era. To anticipate the complexities of modern society, the da'i must prepare da'wah strategies and materials that are more directed at anticipating the tendency of society. Modernization in the midst of onslaught and globalization that takes place very quickly and it is difficult to predict the direction of the da'i must be carried out continuously effectively. This study aims to review effective da'wah strategies in the midst of changing da'wah dynamics. The research method used is descriptive qualitative research with the data collection technique is literature study. The literature study method is an activity related to the method of collecting library data, reading and taking notes and managing research materials. The results of the study indicate that da'wah can play an active role in the modern era if the da'i as a preacher is can participate development of the times so that da'wah as an illuminator is able to give a role to a society that deifies science and technology. In addition, da'i in modern life, da'wah must be directed to mad'u with the "bil wisdom wal mauizah hasanah" approach and with the use of media (bi al-tadwin). This step is also balanced with the da'i -both individuals and groups who qualified, have broad knowledge and insight, master da'wah materials, methods, and media that are appropriate and relevant to the conditions and progress of modern society they face.***Perkembangan ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi telah membawa dampak berarti pada sendi-sendi etika umat Islam di zaman modern ini. Untuk mengantisipasi kompleksitas masyarakat modern da’i harus mempersiapkan strategi dan materi dakwah yang lebih mengarah pada antisipasi sebagai kecenderungan masyarakat.  Di tengah terpaan modernisasi dan globalisasi yang berkembang sangat cepat dan sulit untuk di tebak arahnya da’i harus dilakukan secara terus menerus secara efektif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meninjau strategi dakwah yang efektik ditengah-tengah dinamika dakwah yang terus berubah. Metode penelitian ini adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data melalui studi literature. Metode studi literature adalah serangkaian kegiatan yang berkenaan dengan metode pengumpulan data pustaka, membaca dan mencatat serta mengelola bahan penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dakwah dapat berperan aktif di era modern jika da’I sebagai pendakwah mampu ikut serta dalam perkembangan zaman sehingga dakwah sebagai penerang mampu memberi peran pada masyarakat yang mendewakan ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi. Selain itu da’I dalam kehidupan modern, dakwah harus berorientasi kepada mad'u dengan pendekatan "bil hikmah wal mauizah hasanah dan dengan pemanfaatan media (bi al-tadwin). Langkah tersebut juga dimbangi dengan para da'I baik individu maupun kelompok yang berkualitas, mempunyai pengetahuan serta wawasan yang luas, menguasai materi atau pesan dakwah, metode, dan media yang tepat dan relevan dengan kondisi dan kemajuan masyarakat modern yang dihadapinya.

Sufism or Taṣawwuf is an ancient fruit of Islamic civilization, but experienced revitalization in this modern era. His presence was increasingly meaningful when he was able to become an "oasis in the desert" for modern people who are experiencing a spiritual crisis. In the form of a particular tarekat (ṭarīqah) or a modified form, Sufism has become a medicine for modernization with all its adverse effects. Sufism with spiritual teachings and noble character increasingly plays an important role. He who was once accused of the cause of Islamic decline, and negatively addressed by some Islamic experts, is now increasingly gaining a place in modern society. It is a solution that is anticipated for the problems of contemporary society. By using a literature study, this article was written to contribute to the phenomenon. Its findings, in addition to using scientific and technological instruments, modern life should also be accompanied by mental, spiritual instruments and morality, which are explained in Sufism.

Ali Bin Abi Talib once said that children should be educated in accordance with the  development of the times. The Ali bin Abi Talib’s statement could be considered as his attention more to the development of human civilization. For that reason, there should be studies focused on the role of educational institutions in facing the challenges of the times. On this stand, the writer raises the existence of pesantren (Islamic boarding schools) for being considered to have been able to survive amid the onslaught of civilization increasingly obscuring cultural identity. In addition, this study also aims to identify and discuss the role of pesantren in the modern era. This is a literature study using a descriptive and exploratory approach. It can be concluded that pesantren are non-formal Islamic educational institutions. Pesantren have permanent and distictive methods and learning models. The purpose of pesantren education is the same as Islamic education in general, instilling a sense of virtue, familiarizing themselves with courtesy, preparing for a holy, sincere and honest life entirely. Pesantren could be seen from three aspects: (a) pesantren that are seen from facilities and infrastructures, (b) pesantren that are seen from disciplines taught, and (c) pesantren that are seen from the fields of knowledge.

Young generation nowadays has lack of knowledge on the culture of shadow puppet (wayang kulit) which is a heritage that has a high value of art and philosophy. This is caused by the impact of foreign cultures rapidly entering Indonesia. The rapid development of the information technology through internet & game has led to globalization that seems to be not limited to space and time. The speed of information and foreign cultures cannot be stopped. The culture of shadow puppet (wayang kulit) is getting eroded and is not much known by the modern society nowadays. This is an irony to a big nation which has a rich heritage, so it is our obligation as a citizen to maintain and preserve it. Based on the formulae of AIGA 2015 that defines (time + content + context) / time = experience design, the game of wayang kulit (shadow puppet) Gatotkaca put forbattled different experience to users in exploring the information and entertainment in those media. Having the spirit of moderate Postmodernism, the design plan called User Interface which combines the modern and classic traditional elements will encourage new experience to the users (Experience Design). The design recognizes times and trends, and it keeps changing as the development of the times. The design can be a pace setter to next individuals who are called to maintain and preserve national cultures, in general, and wayang kulit purwa, in particular, through digital media. The development in the modern era will not change the identity of shadow puppet (wayang kulit) culture since it has solid foundation.

Diniyah education has been implemented by all educational institutions in Indonesia, starting from the lowest level, namely SD/MI to SMA/MA. Initially this diniyah education was implemented in Islamic boarding schools during the month of Ramadan. The aim is to foster morals, character, and strengthen worship for students during the month of Ramadan. The purpose of this study was to identify the role of diniyah education carried out in the world of education during the Covid-19 pandemic. This research method is a literature study method with a qualitative approach. The results showed that the role of diniyah education can be measured through 4 things, namely increasing student religiosity, developing sustainable education and in accordance with the development of the times, being patient with calamities, and increasing husnuzon attitudes in students.

Laundry is a process of washing textile materials using water, washing machines, and detergents. Currently Laundry business is one of the sectors of small and medium enterprises which is rapidly developed. Nowadays, lifestyle and level of human mobility needs higher efficiency in washing and ironing clothes clean and tidy it requires expertise. This would not be possible by a busy person in his daily life. To answer this challenge, laundry business becomes the solution. Gajayana Laundry is one of the laundry business which is located at Ahmad Yani street. Currently Gajayana Laundry still apply a system that is still manual in the laundry service process by making a note receipt laundry. Employee in charge of recording information about the laundry received by writing manual or handwriting, in addition to errors due to recording information the number of laundry clothes that resulted in the loss of one of the clothing belonging to the customer, the uniformity of the letter in the laundry archive books that can confused the employees and the difficulties of the spread information to customers such as holiday information, information informing that the customer's laundry has been completed, and information price changes that certainly in the absence of such information may cause a sense of disappointment from the customers. The results of this study can be concluded that the creation of a laundry application using SMS Gateway and apply these applications to help parties Gajayana Laundry in the laundryservice and the dissemination of information. The research method used is descriptive method and data collection technique used in this research are interview, literature study, observation and questionnaire. Making this application using Visual Basic 2010 programming language andMySQL database.

Food crops have long been used by the people of Goa Boma Village Monterado District Bengkayang Regency because of their simple processing and considerable availability in the forest. Based on the conditions of limitied infrastructure, accessibility and markets, it is interesting to conduct research on the Utilization of Foodstuffs at Goa Boma Village Monterado District Bengkayang Regency. The purpose of this study was to obtain data of the species and utilization pattern of plant utilization for foodstaff at Goa Boma Village. The research method is a survey method and data collection technique with interviews. Determination respondents by purposive sampling and addition also conducted abservations and literature study. Based on the results of interviews that have been conducted obtained as many as 94 spices of Goa Boma Village Monterado District Bengkayang Regency as food. Utilization patterns used as fruits were (37,23%), vegetables (27,23%), seasonings (13,82%), drinks (5,31%), carbohydrates (4,25%) and cereals (6,38%).Keywords : Food Crops, Goa Boma Village, Utilization

Abstract This study aims to reveal the challenges of teachers in using online learning media and to find solutions that can be taken by teachers. In the current pandemic, teachers are required to be able to master technology, so that teachers can take advantage of various online media in learning. Currently, many PAUD teachers are confused about utilizing technology-based online media. Finally, in a simple way, the teacher gives written assignments through the WhatsApp group for parents to work on by children. This new activity requires teachers to have competence in operating technology to design and use appropriate learning media for children. Teachers are required to quickly adapt to technology so that teachers are able to use various applications to support online learning at. The research method used is a literature study where the data collection technique is through processing and analyzing various sources or references to scientific journals and books whose relevance with the problem to be studied. Data analysis relates problems to theories contained in scientific journals or appropriate books. The results of this study found that in the use of online learning media, there were several challenges for teachers such as the weak competence of teachers in mastering technology, the lack of facilities and infrastructure in utilizing various online learning media and the limited internet network in covering other online learning media. The solution that teachers can take is to conduct various trainings, webinars or workshops. Teachers can also take advantage of various training platforms provided by the Ministry of Education and Culture, free or paid. Keywords: Teacher Challenges, Online Leraning Media, Early Childhood

Abstract: Article with the title 'Characteristics and Thought of Mr. Haji Yusof Rawa's Da'wah (1922 - 2000) in Malaysia', this aims to describe and analyze the character and thoughts of al-marhum Mr. Haji Yusof Rawa in the field of Islamic da'wah. It starts by highlighting his background in figures and goes on to talk about his Islamic da'wah thoughts. The method used in this study uses a library research method or approach. Literature study can be interpreted as a series of activities relating to the method of collecting library data, reading and recording and processing research material. The findings of this study indicate the role of this figure in controlling the age of the old order transition to the new order has been in line with the demands of the era. He succeeded in becoming a father to the party and upholding the fundamental principles that became the basis and compass for the next party journey. Although he sparked ideas and thoughts that symbolized the openness of PAS to the changing times, he was very wise in outlining the idealism of the party to the point of eternity until now. His strong stance in sparking Da'wah thoughts that were more similar to PAS-centric and shrouded in controversy at the time, had preceded many parties in introducing great ideas such as the Hadith tajdid which later was recognized as a source of inspiration for the hadhari Islamic ideas launched by the UMNO government led by Tun Abdullah Ahmad Badawi   Keywords: Da’wah thought, Haji Yusof Rawa   Abstrak: Artikel dengan judul ‘Ketokohan dan Pemikiran Dakwah Tuan Haji Yusof Rawa (1922 – 2000) di Malaysia’, ini bertujuan memaparkan dan menganalisis ketokohan dan pemikiran al-marhum Tuan Haji Yusof Rawa dalam bidang dakwah Islamiah. Dimulai dengan menyorot latar belakang ketokohan beliau dan seterusnya membincangkan mengenai pemikiran dakwah Islamiahnya. Metode yang digunakan dalam kajian ini menggunakan metode atau pendekatan kepustakaan (library research). Studi pustaka dapat diartikan sebagai serangkaian kegiatan yang berkenaan dengan metode pengumpulan data pustaka, membaca dan mencatat serta mengolah bahan penelitian. Temuan dari penelitian ini menunjukkan peranan tokoh ini dalam mengendalikan zaman transisi orde lama kepada orde baru telah sejalan dengan tuntutan zaman. Beliau berhasil menjadi seorang bapak bagi partai dan menegakkan asas fundamental yang menjadi dasar dan kompas kepada perjalanan partai selanjutnya. Walaupun beliau mencetuskan berbagai ide dan pemikiran yang melambangkan keterbukaan PAS kepada perubahan zaman, beliau sangat arif menggariskan idealisme partai hingga kekal utuh sampai sekarang. Ketokohannya dalam mencetuskan pemikiran dakwah yang lebih mirip kepada PAS-centric serta diselubungi dengan kontroversi pada waktu itu, telah mendahului banyak pihak dalam memperkenalkan gagasan besar seperti tajdid hadhari yang kemudian diakui menjadi sumber inspirasi kepada gagasan Islam hadhari yang dilancarkan oleh pemerintahan UMNO pimpinan Tun Abdullah Ahmad Badawi.   Kata kunci: Pemikiran dakwah, Haji Yuso Rawa

Religion and science cannot be separated from one to another. Both aspects rely on each other in order to develop. Constructively, the development of science and technology has led to the advance of the era in which has a positive impact to the human lives. Modern infrastructure like those on industrial facility, communication, and transportation simplify the mobility of the society.  This study explains about the integration of science in shaping the charters of the students in the perspective of Islam by using library research method. The library research method is also known as a the method of literature study.  The Islamic education in shaping the students' character in the competition of global era due to the impact of science and technology is very essential and cannot be denied from the social lives. In Islamic education, in order to achieve the success in the world than it has to be based on the science and vice versa. The Islamic education is a system which tries to implement the noble values of the students which include the aspects of knowledge, self –awareness, and application. Any activities that the teachers do should be able to influence the character of the students as a trigger to shape their personality. The Islamic education, in fact, has set the things relating to how the teachers behave, for instance, how they delivering their learning materials, tolerance, and some related matters. The purpose of this behavior is to shape the students to be a good human either in their society or country.

The discourse about building an educational paradigm that is suitable for application in pesantren institutions is still interesting to discuss. Many conceptual offers have been presented. This is closely related to the role of pesantren in the modern era with its complexities and problems. Traditional and modern Islamic boarding schools are considered inadequate in responding to the challenges of the times between pragmatic needs and the fulfillment of the moral-spiritual dimension. For this reason, this article intends to offer a pesantren education paradigm that combines traditional and modern components. That the integrated paradigm based on al-Muhafazah 'ala al-Qadim al-Salih wa al-Akhd bi al-Jadid al-Aslah is expected to be able to alleviate the complexity of the education system implemented in Islamic boarding schools. At the very least, this offer is the first step towards a future pesantren with the spirit of salih li kulli zaman wa al-makan; have sensitivity and care about the development of the world. In turn, they are able to produce competent individuals, both in the field of faith and piety and also competence in the field of science and technology (science and technology).
