The release of metals in ecosystems results in not only environmental damage, but also harm to the health and quality of human life. This study aims to compare and discuss the research evolution performed worldwide, which made use of the potential of Chromobacterium violaceum for bioremediation of heavy metals. The study consists of a systematic review, limited to research published between 2001 and 2015, using LILACS, PubMed, and SciELO databases. The bioleaching technique was further discussed; gold was the bioremediated substrate most mentioned, and cyanidation was the prevalent phenotypic mechanism. Genetic mechanisms were mentioned in 29.4% of the publications, and among proteins transcribed by C. violaceum 18.3% were hypothetical. The adaptive versatility of C. violaceum reveals its great biotechnological potential on environmental pollution by heavy metals, favoring environmental conservation. However, the high number of hypothetical ORFs (Open Reading Frame) highlights the need for further research.

Ecosystem is an overall unified arrangement of elements of the environment that influence each other in creating balance, order and sustainability. The discourse on environmental conservation has become an actual issue in the midst of the threat of a global crisis as a consequence of disasters, climate change, global warming, erratic seasonal changes, decreased quality of life and the threat of destruction of the earth. This condition triggers the anxiety and worry of mankind about the extinction of the earth. This study will answer how the Koran talks about the environment and its impact on human life. The design of this research is a qualitative type of literature. The data collection technique is the documentation of collecting environmental damage verses. The analysis uses a comparative interpretive, namely examining verses on environmental damage, comparing them, then concluding them through inductive thinking. The results of the study prove that environmental damage is caused by polytheists, hypocrites, greedy and selfish people. Solutions for strengthening monotheism, awareness of environmental law, and moral natural resource management.

Purpose. Due to the use of different methodologies, tools, and measurements, the positive or negative impact of Internet use on human life quality is accompanied by a series of ambiguities and uncertainties. Therefore, in this study, a systematic review and meta-analysis are conducted regarding the effect of Internet addiction on the quality of life. Methods. A systematic search of resources was conducted to investigate the effect of Internet addiction on the quality of life. The databases of PubMed, Cochrane Library, Scopus, Web of Science, Embase, and Science Direct were searched from January 1980 to July 2020. The articles were screened by two researchers in multiple levels in terms of the title, abstract, and full-text; then, final studies that met the inclusion criteria were retrieved and included in the study. Results. After searching the previously mentioned international databases, 3863 papers were found, 18 of which we included in the final analysis. Surveys indicated that people who had a high Internet addiction received lower scores of quality of life than those who were normal Internet users (OR = 2.45, 95% CI; 2.31–2.61, p < 0.001 ; I2 = 85.23%, p < 0.001 ). Furthermore, There was a negative significant relationship between Internet addiction and quality of life in the psychological (OR = 0.56, 95% CI: 0.32–0.99, p = 0.04 , I2 = 97.47%, p < 0.001 ), physical (OR = 0.58, 95% CI: 0.39–0.86, p = 0.007 , I2 = 95.29%, p = 0.001 ), and overall quality of life score (OR = 0.39, 95% CI: 0.27–0.55, p < 0.001 , I2 = 0.0%, p = 0.746 ). Conclusion. These findings illustrate that Internet addiction should be regarded as a major health concern and incorporated into health education and intervention initiatives.

Water is one of the most important natural resources which play an essential role in human life. Most of the Nigerian institutions stored water in either plastic or overhead tanks for different purposes. However, there has been a growing concern over the safety of the stored water for human consumption following reported cases of microbial occurrence in water stored in tanks. This study aimed at investigating the water quality stored in plastic tanks in Umaru Musa Yar’adua University Katsina. Water samples were collected from plastic tanks and analyzed for some physico-chemical and heavy metals parameters. The result of physico-chemical parameters obtained shows that only dissolved oxygen, biological oxygen demand and chemical oxygen demand were observed above the maximum permissible limit for drinking recommended by WHO and NSDWQ with the mean value of 55.18 mg/l, 38.86 mg/l and 38.08 mg/l respectively. While the remaining parameters such as pH, electrical conductivity, total dissolved solids, turbidity, total suspended solid, alkalinity, sulphate, nitrate, phosphate, chloride and total hardness were found within the acceptable limit. However, analyzed result of heavy metals parameters revealed that all parameters were observed within desirable limit by WHO and NSDWQ for drinking water and suggested that the quality of water stored in plastic tanks was very good. It is concluded that, the quality of water stored in plastic tanks is suitable for human consumption. It is therefore recommended that, continuous monitoring of the water should be maintain so as to ascertain the safety of the water

<p>O licenciamento ambiental foi criado pela Legislação Federal como um dos instrumentos da Política Nacional do Meio Ambiente na Lei Nº 6.938/81, tornando-se obrigatório para todas as atividades que possam interferir na qualidade do meio ambiente. Este instrumento visa a preservação, melhoria e recuperação da qualidade ambiental e proporcionar a vida, assegurando condições ao desenvolvimento socioeconômico, aos interesses da segurança nacional e a proteção da dignidade da vida humana. Nesse contexto, objetivou-se analisar o processo de licenciamento ambiental enquanto instrumento de política ambiental, evidenciando as principais dificuldades para a obtenção da licença ambiental. Entretanto, é imprescindível o conhecimento dos empreendedores a respeito dos danos ambientais caudados pelas suas atividades para que possam se adequar às exigências da prevenção aos recursos naturais e da compensação ambiental que lhes compete. Há necessidade de adequação do processo de licenciamento ambiental que atenda satisfatoriamente órgãos ambientais e empreendedores, primando pela agilidade, qualidade e eficiência e com vistas a tornar-se um instrumento eficaz no que concerne à proteção ambiental sem inviabilizar o desenvolvimento econômico/social necessário e de forma sustentável.</p><p> </p><p align="center"><strong><em>Environmental permit: conflict of interests</em></strong></p><p><strong>Abstract:</strong> The environmental permit was created by federal law as an instrument of the National Environmental Policy Act in 6938/81, making it mandatory for all activities that can affect the quality of the environment. This instrument aims at the preservation, improvement and restoration of environmental quality and provide life by ensuring conditions for sustainable socio-economic interests of national security and protecting the dignity of human life. In this context, this paper aims to analyze the environmental licensing process as an instrument of environmental policy, highlighting the main difficulties for obtaining the environmental permit. However, it is essential to know the entrepreneurs about the environmental damage caused by their activities so that they suit the requirements of prevention of natural resources and environmental compensation that they are responsible. There is need for adequacy of the environmental licensing process that meets satisfactorily environmental agencies and entrepreneurs, excelling in agility, quality and efficiency and in order to become an effective instrument with regard to environmental protection without derail the economic/social development needed and sustainably.</p>

Purpose We sought to critically analyze and evaluate published evidence regarding feasibility and clinical potential for predicting neurodevelopmental outcomes of the frequency-following responses (FFRs) to speech recordings in neonates (birth to 28 days). Method A systematic search of MeSH terms in the Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied HealthLiterature, Embase, Google Scholar, Ovid Medline (R) and E-Pub Ahead of Print, In-Process & Other Non-Indexed Citations and Daily, Web of Science, SCOPUS, COCHRANE Library, and ClinicalTrials.gov was performed. Manual review of all items identified in the search was performed by two independent reviewers. Articles were evaluated based on the level of methodological quality and evidence according to the RTI item bank. Results Seven articles met inclusion criteria. None of the included studies reported neurodevelopmental outcomes past 3 months of age. Quality of the evidence ranged from moderate to high. Protocol variations were frequent. Conclusions Based on this systematic review, the FFR to speech can capture both temporal and spectral acoustic features in neonates. It can accurately be recorded in a fast and easy manner at the infant's bedside. However, at this time, further studies are needed to identify and validate which FFR features could be incorporated as an addition to standard evaluation of infant sound processing evaluation in subcortico-cortical networks. This review identifies the need for further research focused on identifying specific features of the neonatal FFRs, those with predictive value for early childhood outcomes to help guide targeted early speech and hearing interventions.

Abstract. Borderline Intellectual Functioning (BIF) refers to a global IQ ranging from 71 to 84, and it represents a condition of clinical attention for its association with other disorders and its influence on the outcomes of treatments and, in general, quality of life and adaptation. Furthermore, its definition has changed over time causing a relevant clinical impact. For this reason, a systematic review of the literature on this topic can promote an understanding of what has been studied, and can differentiate what is currently attributable to BIF from that which cannot be associated with this kind of intellectual functioning. Using Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Review and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) criteria, we have conducted a review of the literature about BIF. The results suggest that this condition is still associated with mental retardation, and only a few studies have focused specifically on this condition.

The scientific problem of economics “Managing the quality of human life” is formulated on the basis of artificial intelligence, algebra of logic and logical-probabilistic calculus. Managing the quality of human life is represented by managing the processes of his treatment, training and decision making. Events in these processes and the corresponding logical variables relate to the behavior of a person, other persons and infrastructure. The processes of the quality of human life are modeled, analyzed and managed with the participation of the person himself. Scenarios and structural, logical and probabilistic models of managing the quality of human life are given. Special software for quality management is described. The relationship of human quality of life and the digital economy is examined. We consider the role of public opinion in the management of the “bottom” based on the synthesis of many studies on the management of the economics and the state. The bottom management is also feedback from the top management.

As typical Indonesian education institute, pesantren with all its component, tradition, culture, and uniqueness have drawn attention many expert and researchers. Pesantren existence has given great contribution to enhancement of the quality of human life. Many role have been played by pesantren; in social, political, economics, cultural aspect; and of course religious aspect which its basic study. These realities in turn have invited the attention of many circles to continuously examine, checking, or studying dynamics, growth, and also existence of pesantren. Among the study result is Mastuhu’s research: Dynamics of System of Education Pesantren, a Study about Element and Value of Pesantren Educational System. With this masterpiece, Mastuhu trying to promote the form of study pesantren which do not merely touching manifest (visible) aspect, but trying to find the values which is consisted inside that manifest; so can found positive, negative, and plus-minus items from pesantren’s education which need and needn’t to be developed in national’s education system. Through this article, the writer will express the work content from a perspective of its study approach.

Subject. The article considers functioning and development of process flows of transportation and logistics system of a smart city. Objectives. The study identifies factors and dependencies of the quality of human life on the organization and management of stream processes. Methods. I perform a comparative analysis of previous studies, taking into account the uniquely designed results, and the econometric analysis. Results. The study builds multiple regression models that are associated with stream processes, highlights interdependent indicators of temporary traffic and pollution that affect the indicator of life quality. However, the identified congestion indicator enables to predict the time spent in traffic jams per year for all participants of stream processes. Conclusions. The introduction of modern intelligent transportation systems as a component of the transportation and logistics system of a smart city does not fully solve the problems of congestion in cities at the current rate of urbanization and motorization. A viable solution is to develop cooperative and autonomous intelligent transportation systems based on the logistics approach. This will ensure control over congestion, the reduction of which will contribute to improving the life quality of people in urban areas.
