The discussion in this paper is focused on the ellipsis of grammatical functions in Japanese covering that of the function of grammatical of coordinative structure. The data analyzed in this paper were taken from Japanese corpus data. The concept of ellipsis was taken from Quirk et al., (1985), Makino & Tsutsui, (1994), and Verhaar (1981). The ellipsis from Quirk et al (1985) was applied the concept of recoverability from the grammatical point of view: (1) textual recoverability, (2) situational recoverability, and (3) structural recoverability. The qualitative and synchronic descriptive method was employed in this study. A qualitatively descriptive method was employed to explain and describe the coordinative sentence, whereas the synchronic approach was used to cover the current language phenomena. The findings show that in the coordinative structure, ellipsis of the function of grammatical subject, ellipsis the function of predicate and ellipsis of the function of object took place. Ellipsis of the function of grammatical in the coordinative structure can be anaphoric or cataphoric. It is called anaphoric because the ellipsis takes place rightward, the controlling constituents are located in the first clauses and the controlled constituents are located in the second clause. It is called cataphoric because the controlling constituents are located in the second clauses and the controlled constituents are located in the first clauses.

This study aims at (1) describing the rules of the passive voice in Indonesian and Japanese languages, (2) finding the markers of passive sentences in Indonesian and Japanese languages, (3) describing the similarities and differences of passive sentences in Indonesian and Japanese. The data is collected by the descriptive method. The method of data analysis is a contrastive analysis. The result of data analysis is presented by method Indonesian passivization explained by the change of morphology on the verb, for example, Indonesian language passive using markers di-, ter- and ke-an. Meanwhile, Japanese language passivization is described by verbs and nouns functioning as objects in passive sentences. Japanese verbs consist of consonant verbs, vowel verbs, and irregular verbs. Passive sentences in the Japanese language are marked by marker ni + V-areru for consonant verbs, markers ni + V-areru for vocal verbs, ni + V-areru for irregular verbs, and ni + yotte V-areru/V-rareru for verbs that are followed as object inanimate nouns. Similarly, there are two passivizations in Japanese: passivization using the direct object and the indirect object. However, the indirect passivization of the Japanese can use transitive verbs or intransitive verbs. Japanese passive sentences express the completion of an action and an unpleasant meaning. In comparison, the Japanese passive sentence is not used as regularly as Indonesian passive because Japanese passive tends to express a point of view first person. In addition, another difference between passive sentences in Indonesian and Japanese is that in Japanese it is important to know the subject.

Multiword expressions – i.e. phraseological units – like idioms and collocations are one of the most interesting part of every language. In this article, I investigate phraseological units from a lexicographical point of view. I discuss the theoretical and methodological basis of phraseography as a discipline that includes aspects of lexicography, phraseology, corpus linguistics and theories of language learning. I demonstrate the importance of corpora as a source for the lexicographer and the use of corpus data. I also discuss the requirements for the lexicographical treatment of phraseological units by the compilation of a phraseological database for language learners in relation to their assumed needs that have already been described in detail.

Summary: Reflecting on the role humans take into nowadays society, should be of interest in all our social reflections, even for those that refer to the field of law. Any human indifferent and unconscious of the social role that he ought to play within society, as a member of it, is an irresponsible human detached from everything that surrounds him, regarding matters and other humans. Trying to isolate in an irresponsible, passive and comfortable attitude, means, after all, denying oneself, denying our nature, as the social being every human is. This is the reflection that this academic work entitles, the one made from the point of view of the Italian philosopher Rodolfo Mondolfo. From a descriptive development, starting from this renowned author, I will develop ideas that will warn the importance that human protagonism have, in this human product so call society. From a descriptive development, from this well-known author, I will be prescribing ideas that will warn the importance of the protagonism that all human beings have, in that human product that we call society. I have used the descriptive method to approach the positions of the Italian humanist philosopher and, for my assessments, I have used the prescriptive method from an eminently critical and deductive procedural position. My goal is to demonstrate, from the humanist postulates of Rodolfo Mondolfo, the hypothesis about the leading, decision-making and determining role that the human being has within society. I understand, to have reached the demonstration of the aforementioned hypothesis, because, after the analyzed, there is no doubt, that the human being is not one more existence in the development of societies; its role is decisive in determining the human present and the future that will house the next societies and generations of our historical future.
