Ideology is always an issue that plays an important role in the life of a society, and that ideology also greatly influences the process of ruling the country of dynasties in the history. Unlike previous dynasties, which lasted only a few decades, the Ly dynasty represents a flourishing period of feudalism lasting more than 200 years. A major event was that King Ly Thanh Tong changed the country name from Dai Co Viet to Dai Viet in 1054, ushering in a brilliant era in Vietnamese history.  The ideology of “taking people as the root” of Vietnamese feudal dynasties highlights the unyielding and indomitable fighting spirit for the right to enjoy independence and freedom in the old land of Giao Chi and Cuu Chan, which later was Dai Viet and is now Vietnam. It also reflects the desire for people to live in peace and harmony. This articles focuses on studying the ideology of “taking people as the root” through the reign of kings of the Ly dynasty in Vietnam. From there, the article points out the achievements and limitations in the process of taking care of people, as well as historical lessons for the development of the country today.

Taking care of patients with delusional parasitosis can be challenging. This report illustrates the added management complexity and ethical dilemmas surrounding a patient who was newly diagnosed with an incurable lung cancer, while at the same time was suffering from delusional parasitosis. Her delusion was so profound that she blamed flukes for her respiratory failure and refused treatment of her cancer. This paper emphasizes making the right decision with the greater good in mind, even if this meant “yielding” to a patient’s delusion and treating the non-existing parasitosis in order for her to allow us to also treat the cancer.

The uniportal approach to an en bloc complete lymphadenectomy is significantly more challenging than a multiportal approach or a thoracotomy because of the limited angulation available to the surgeon and the limited number of usable surgical instruments. Because of these limitations, it is very important to completely master the specific surgical steps in order to achieve success. Additionally, it is important to make sure the lymph nodes remain structurally intact, taking care not to cause damage by grasping them during lymphadenectomy, in order to prevent the dissemination of malignant cells into the thorax. In this video tutorial, we demonstrate our surgical technique for lymphadenectomy in the right upper (2R/4R) or lower (7/8/9) mediastinal zone, which is suitable for a uniportal approach, and explain the nuances of performing it.

Ambush marketing activities—such as advertisements that obliquely reference a major event—have frustrated major sport event organizers and sponsors for years. Nevertheless, these activities, so long as they stopped short of trademark infringement or false advertising, have been perfectly legal. In the last decade, major sport event organizers such as the International Olympic Committee and the Fédération Internationale de Football Association have pressured national governments to pass legislation prohibiting ambush marketing as a condition of a successful bid to host an event. Such legislation has already been enacted in the United Kingdom, Canada, South Africa, Australia, and New Zealand, and the statutes in these jurisdictions reveal an emerging right of association. In this paper, the author surveys the evolution of this right and its key features. She offers a critique of this right, and argues that the need for it has never been properly established, and that the legislation is overly broad, does not reflect an appropriate balancing of interests, and may infringe upon the freedom of expression.

This article focused on Hegel’s dialectical evolution of the spirit and its implications to shortcut mentality in Nigeria. Hegel’s evolution of the spirit is a process of change and human development, which moves from the individual to the state and then to the absolute. This process identifies and represents the world’s civilization as a gradual realization of the absolute. The fundamental questions are: What actually is Hegel’s dialectical evolution of the spirit? What is shortcut mentality? Has Hegel’s dialectical evolution of the spirit any implication for shortcut mentality in Nigeria? This article argued and insisted that Hegel’s dialectical evolution of the spirit has remarkable implications for shortcut mentality in Nigeria. A critical look at Nigeria today simply portrays a country beset by shortcut mentality in her quest for civilization. This is evidenced in many contemporary issues menacing our country today. The issues of get rich quick syndrome, quick fixes, examination mal-practice, Ponzi schemes, betting sites, corrupt practices, utopian prosperity gospel etc. are easily noticeable in almost every part of Nigeria. All these ills which have led to the malfunctioning of the economic, religious, educational, agricultural, and administrative sectors of Nigeria, are certainly the offspring of shortcut mentality. This shortcut mentality presupposes people not following the right and gradual path of change and development. It entails abhorrence of labour as well as suffering. Hence, the researchers employed analytical and hermeneutical methods to explore the implications of Hegel’s dialectical evolution of the spirit to shortcut disorder in Nigeria. This article argued that application of Hegel’s dialectical evolution of the spirit contributes enormously in combating the problem of shortcut mentality in Nigeria. Hence, the researchers recommended creativity, mutual recognition as well as positive attitude to labour and suffering as solutions to the issue of shortcut mentality in Nigeria. Key Words: Hegel, Spirit, Shortcut, Change and Nigeria

The paper presents important data to clarify the regulation of state-confessional relations in the context of the new state-type establishment in Vietnamese history. In order to elucidate this legal adjustment, the author has set out the following three basic tasks: identifying prerequisites for the enactment of the legislation on religion during this period; analyzing the content of the legislation on religion throughout this historical period; drawing out the values of these legal provisions. The author has studied all the significant legal documents issued by the state on the matters of belief, worship, and religion. Research materials are also based on the works of Western and Eastern authors writing about Vietnam in this historical period. Logical methods (analysis, synthesis, abstraction) and historical method in jurisprudence are the main methods used by the author in this study. The research results have illustrated that: (1) the legislation on relations between the state and religious or-ganizations in the period of 1945–1975 was governed by the role of President Ho Chi Minh in the idea of solidarity religions in the unity bloc of the nation, the practical situation of religion in Vietnam and the legal basis at that time; (2) the content of the legal adjustment was mentioned in the Vietnamese constitutions and the Presidential Decree No. 234 on 14 June 1955 on religious issues and relevant legal documents with progressive provisions on the freedom of belief and religion, the rights and responsibilities of the state and religious organizations on specific areas of social life; (3) the value of the law in this period is evident in the establish-ment of mechanisms to protect the right to freedom of belief and religion, to build a secular state model, to promote civilized behaviors in respect of religious matters and to bring Vietnamese law in the direction of modernization. The study of state-confessional relations is important in the process of developing a policy regarding religion in the modern period, and also helps to clarify the process of legal regulation of these relations in the history of Vietnamese legislation.Nguyen Son Nam.

A major event in the human life course is the move to a care center. In order for this transition to be successful, it is important that a care center creates the right conditions to achieve that residents feel at home and satisfied. The aim of this study is to investigate which characteristics are important for this, according to the employees of care centers in the Netherlands. First a limited list of 15 characteristics has been constructed on the basis of literature research. With the help of the Delphi method, in three rounds, employees of Dutch care institutions were then asked about the importance of these characteristics for a successful adaptation of residents to the new living environment and they were asked to provide additional comments. Based on this, characteristics have been reformulated, added or removed. The result after the third round was a high degree of agreement on the characteristics that were considered (very) important. The attribute 'respect', scored in all three rounds the highest, followed directly by the characteristics 'approach' and 'safety'. There was a high degree of agreement about the most important characteristics between the different job levels (such as employee care or supervisor).
