The goal of this study was to determine the utilization level of anchovy resources in Perairan Karang Jeruk after being designated as a fisheries reserve conservation area. The CYP algorithm approach was used as a bioeconomic analysis. This study was conducted in November 2019 – January 2020. The results showed that the intrinsic growth rate of anchovies (r) was 1.803 tons/year, the capture coefficients (q) was 0.000506 tons/trip, and the environment supporting capacity (K) amounting to 1501.67 tons/year, cost (c) of 0.27 million/trip and price (p) of 8.73 million/ton. MSY efforts (EMSY) amounted to 1780.42 with maximum production (hMSY) of 676.80 tons/year. MEY (EMEY) efforts amounted to 1694.14 with maximum production (hMEY) of 675.21 tons/year. The utilization of fisheries resources activities shows more capture, both biologically and economically. Policy recommendations that can be applied from the results of the study are that business/effort limitations need to be made to 2416 – 2539 trip/year for payang fishing gear and 1489 – 1565 for Mini Purse Seine fishing gear. The implementation of the quota system on the Total Allowable Catch (TAC) basis for payang fishing gear is 65.52 tons/year, while the mini purse seine fishing gear is 475.92 tons/year.

Pukat cincin adalah salah satu alat penangkapan ikan yang dominan digunakan di Pelabuhan Perikanan Pantai (PPP) Tegalsari, Kota Tegal, Jawa Tengah dan belum optimal dalam pengoperasiannya. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menentukan faktor -faktor produksi, menghitung produktivitas, efisiensi, dan elastisitas faktor produksi kegiatan penangkapan purse seine. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode survey dengan analisis deskriptif (grafik dan gambar) dan kuantitatif (Cobb-Dougla). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan faktor-faktor produksi yang berpengaruh simultan terhadap produksi hasil tangkapan purse seine adalah ukuran kapal, jumlah BBM, kegiatan penangkapan, dan lama operasi. Rata-rata produktivitas unit penangkapan purse seine tertinggi terjadi pada tahun 2014 sebesar 370.877,22 kg/trip, sedangkan produktivitas unit penangkapan purse seine tahun 2013 dan 2015 berturut-turut sebesar 340.784,86 kg/trip dan 351.956,60 kg/trip. Penggunaan faktor produksi ukuran kapal dan lama operasi sudah tidak efisien yang dapat menurunkan hasil produksi, sedangkan penggunaan jumlah BBM dan kegiatan penangkapan belum efisien yang penambahannya akan menaikkan hasil produksi.Purse seine is one of the dominant fishing gear used in the Beach Fishery Harbor (PPP) Tegalsari, Tegal, Central Java and it has been not optimal in operation. The purpose of this study is to determine the factors of production, calculate productivity, efficiency, and elasticity of production factors of purse seine fishing activities. The method used in this research is survey method with descriptive (graphs and pictures) and quantitative analysis (Cobb-Douglas) . The results showed production factors that influence simultaneously towards the production of purse seine catches are the size of the vessel, the amount of fuel, fishing activities, and long operation. The average productivity of purse seine fishing unit was highest in 2014 amounted to 370,877.22 kg/trip, while the productivity of purse seine fishing unit in 2013 and 2015 respectively amounted to 340,784.86 kg/trip and 351,956.60 kg/trip. The use of production factors and the old ship size are already inefficient that can reduce yield, while the use of the amount of fuel and fishing activities are not efficient yet that the addition will increase production output.

ABSTRACT<br />Sunda Strait is waters which have great fishery potential in Indonesia. Catches of the Sunda Strait were landed in Pandeglang Regency, one of which is in the Coastal Fishing Port (PPP) Labuan. Purse seine is fishing gear with the highest production in Sunda Strait. Species targets of purse seine are Fringescale sardinella, Mackerel, Short mackerel, Indian mackerel, Kawakawa, and Indian scad. The high price of the fish lead purse seine operation continuously. Increasing purse seine operation can lead to the scarcity fishery resources. Therefore, a study about fish exploitation rate is needed to know the utilization status. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the exploitation rate of multispesies fisheries which caught by purse seine in Sunda Strait based on catch data landed data in PPP Labuan. This study used the ELEFAN I methods and Pauly formula. The result showed that the exploitation rate of fish resources for female and male fringescale sardinella are 0,79 and 0,70; Island mackerel are 0,78 and 0,60; short mackerel are 0,85 and 0,88; Indian mackerel are 0,80 and 0,83; kawakawa are 0,95 and 0,90; Indian scad are 0,75 and 0,62. Nowadays, all fish which caught by purse seine in the Sunda Strait has been indicated to over-exploitation.<br /><br />Keywords: exploitation rate, pelagic fish, purse seine, Sunda strait<br />------<br /><br />ABSTRAK<br /><br />Selat Sunda merupakan perairan yang memiliki potensi perikanan yang cukup besar di Indonesia. Hasil tangkapan ikan dari Selat Sunda didaratkan di Kabupaten Pandeglang, salah satunya adalah di Pelabuhan Perikanan Pantai (PPP) Labuan. Pukat cincin merupakan alat tangkap dengan produksi paling banyak di Selat Sunda. Spesies yang merupakan target tangkapan pukat cincin yaitu tembang, kembung, kembung perempuan, kembung laki-laki, tongkol, dan layang. Harga jual ikan yang tinggi menyebabkan pengoperasian pukat cincin terus ditingkatkan. Pengoperasian pukat cincin yang terus meningkat dapat menyebabkan kelangkaan terhadap sumber daya perikanan. Oleh karena itu, perlu dilakukan kajian mengenai laju eksploitasi sumber daya ikan agar diketahui status pemanfaatannya. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengevaluasi laju eksploitasi multispesies yang tertangkap pukat cincin di Selat Sunda berdasarkan data tangkapan yang didaratkan di PPP Labuan. Pada penelitian ini digunakan metode ELEFAN I dan rumus Pauly. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa laju eksploitasi sumber daya ikan berturut-turut betina dan jantan spesies tembang sebesar 0,79 dan 0,70; kembung 0,78 dan 0,60; kembung laki-laki 0,85 dan 0,88; kembung perempuan 0,80 dan 0,83; tongkol 0,95 dan 0,90; layang 0,75 dan 0,62. Saat ini kondisi semua ikan hasil tangkapan dominan pukat cincin di Selat Sunda telah mengalami tangkap lebih.<br /><br />Kata kunci: ikan pelagis, pukat cincin, laju eksploitasi, Selat Sunda

<p>Program pembangunan perikanan tangkap dalam upaya meningkatkan kesejahteraan harus mencerminkan juga upaya menjaga kelestarian sumberdayanya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui status alat penangkap ikan berdasarkan kategori penangkapan yang bertanggung Jawab.  Penelitian dilakukan di Kabupaten Tanah Laut.</p><p> Penelitian dilakukan dengan metode observasi berdasarkan dan wawancara.  Analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif.  Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa alat penangkap ikan yang termasuk kategori bertanggung jawab yaitu rawai dan set gillnet; kategori kurang bertanggung jawab yaitu encircling gillnet, drift gillnet, trammel net, purse seine dan beach siene. Sedangkan  kategori tidak bertanggung jawab yaitu skimming net dan mini trawl.  Rekomendasi kebijakan dapat dilakukan dengan cara pengendalian jumlah alat tangkap, penutupan daerah penangkapan dan penguatan kesadaran pemangku kepentingan.  Dengan demikian pengelolaan sumberdaya perikanan dalam rangka pembangunan berkelanjutan dapat dilaksanakan.</p><p>Fisheries development programs in an effort to improve the well-being should also reflect an effort to preserve its resources . This study aims to determine the status of fishing gear base on categoryResponsibility Fisheries. The study was conducted in Tanah Lautdistrict . Research carried out by the method of observation and interview based . The data were analyzed descriptively . The results showed that the fishing gears base on responsible category are longline and set gillnet; less responsible category are encircling gillnet, drift gillnet, trammel net, purse seine and beach siene. While the not responsible categories are Skimming net andMini Trawl . Policy recommendations can be done by controlling the amount of fishing gear, fishing area closures and strengthening stakeholder awareness. Thus the management of fishery resources in the context of sustainable development can be implemented</p>

Bubu (Trap) merupakan alat tangkap yang dioperasikan secara pasif yang termasuk alat tangkap ramah lingkungan, dengan keunggulan hasil tangkapan masih dalam kondisi hidup dan segar. Target penangkapan dari alat tangkap Bubu salah satunya adalah Rajungan (Portunus pelagicus), yang merupakan komoditas ekonomis penting perikanan. Indikasi produktivitas suatu alat tangkap adalah apabila hasil tangkapan didominasi dengan target tangkapan dengan nilai efektivitas yang tinggi. Modifikasi bentuk dan jumlah Funnel (pintu masuk) pada Bubu merupakan salah satu cara memperbesar peluang target  masuk kedalamnya. Penelitian mengenai penambahan jumlah funnel bertujuan untuk meningkatkan peluang Rajungan tertangkap. Rancang bangun funnel sebanyak 6 buah (Bubu Payung) akan memperbesar peluang Rajungan sebagai target tangkapan tertangkap dibandingkan bubu dengan jumlah  funnel 2 buah. Melalui metode penelitian experimental fishing di perairan Rembang, Jawa Tengah didapatkan hasil bahwa Bubu dengan funnel sebanyak 6 buah (Bubu payung) menghasilkan hasil tangkapan lebih banyak dibandingkan dengan Bubu dengan funnel sebanyak 2 buah. Bubu was a passive fishing gear and kind of responsible fishing gear categories. Catch on fresh condition is one of benefit from this gear. Rajungan (Portunus pelagicus) is one of important fisheries resources and valuable. One of the productivity indicator on fishing gear is if catch dominated by targetted of fish and effectiveness value is high. Trap modification on shape and amount funnel is one of techniques to increase opportunity fish that get caught. The aim of this study is to increase opportuniy caught of Rajungan with different funnel amount. Bubu with six funnel will enlarge opportunity of Rajungan that caught than of two funnel. By experimental fishing in Rembang sea water, Province of  Central Java, the result of this study shown that bubu with six funnel get more larged rajungan catch than bubu with two funnel.

Pekalongan City is a coastal area on the north coast of Central Java Province, which has a fairly large fishing port, namely Pekalongan Archipelago Fishery Port.. This research objective to determine the exellent commodities of capture fisheries and efforts to preserve capture fisheries resources. Descriptive research methods have been used in this research. The data taken is secondary data from literature studies and related institutions, because the time of the research was still in the Covit 19 pandemic. Analysis of the data used is quantitative descriptive analysis. The research results showed that the dominant fishing gear was Purse seine and Gillnet. Purse seine vessels used are mini purse seine (<30GT) and pursein (> 30GT). Exellent commodity include Layang (Decapterus sp), Tonngkol (Thunnus tonggol) and Tembang (Sardinella fimbriata). Efforts to preserve fish resources in the City of Pekalongan are done by regulating the number of fishing gear and limiting the number of production and the number of fishing trips. The government policies in the effort to maintain the sustainability of fish resources include: banning the use of trawl and seine net, determination of Fisheries Management Areas (WPP) and limitation on the amount of catches allowed (JTB), as well as establishing fishing lanes.

The utilization of fish resources by fishermen in the waters of Bone Bay uses different fishing gear and patterns as well as different utilization and management policies. This can affect the sustainability of existing fish resources, one of which is in the Bone Regency area. This study aims to analyze the technical aspects of purse seine and fishing gear used by fishermen in the waters of Bone Bay, especially in Bone Regency. Furthermore, the technical aspects of the vessel and fishing gear as a result of the calculation are compared with the provisions stipulated in the PERMEN-KP Number 71 of 2016 to determine the zone of the fishing area. This research was conducted in Panyula Village, which is the fishing base area of purse seine fishermen and the waters of Teluk Bone, starting from November 2016 to March 2017. This research uses a combination of survey methods and case studies. The type of data used consists of primary data and secondary data. Based on the technical aspects of purse seine vessels, ring trawl fishing gear and FAD fishing tools, purse seine units should be operated on Fishing Route II and Fishing Route III in accordance with Minister of Marine Affairs and Fisheries Regulation Number 71 of 2016.

Perairan Pulau Bangkudulis merupakan daerah estuaria dengan tingkat keanekaragaman hayati yang tinggi. Kondisi ini berpotensi memiliki nilai ekonomi dalam kegiatan perikanan tangkap yang dilakukan secara berkelanjutan dan lestari. Potensi pemanfaatan perikanan salah satunya yaitu dengan menggunakan alat tangkap sero (set net) yang dilakukan oleh masyarakat Kabupaten Tana Tidung, Kalimantan Utara. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis sosial ekonomi dan tingkat keramahan lingkungan alat tangkap sero (set net) yang dilakukan di perairan Pulau Bangkudulis Kabupaten Tana Tidung, Kalimantan Utara dengan menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui survei dan wawancara, sementara itu teknik penentuan sampel dilakukan secara purposive sampling. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa dari sisi sosial ekonomi, alat tangkap sero merupakan salah satu alat tangkap yang menguntungkan bagi nelayan di Kabupaten Tana Tidung karena tidak bertentangan dengan budaya setempat dan tidak bertentangan dengan peraturan yang ada. Sero masuk ke dalam kategori alat tangkap yang berkelanjutan terhadap sumberdaya kelautan dan perikanan. Pemanfaatan alat tangkap sero (set net) dalam kegiatan perikanan tangkap di Pulau Bangkudulis mempunyai bobot 27,71, nilai ini masuk dalam kategori ramah lingkungan. Dimana alat tangkap sero tersebut telah memenuhi 3 kriteria tingkat keramahan lingkungan yaitu X2 tidak merusak lingkungan, X5 produksi tidak membahayakan konsumen dan X7 dampak terhadap biodiversitas.Titled: Socio Economic and Environmental Friendliness Analysis Set net Fishing Gear in The Waters of Bangkudulis Island, Tana Tidung Regency, North KalimantanThe waters of Bangkudulis Island is an estuary area with high marine biodiversity level. This research aimed to obtain environmental friendliness level using set net fishing gear in the waters of Bangkudulis Island Tana Tidung regency North Kalimantan by using quantitative descriptive approachment. Data collection technique was conducted by using survey and interview, while sampling technique was conducted by using purposive sampling. The result show that from socio-economic aspect, set net fishing gear is a profitable fishing gear for the fishermen in Tana Tidung Regency because it’s in line with local culture and existing regulation. Set net is categorized in the category of sustainable marine and fisheries resources fishing gear. The fisheries utilization by using set net in Bangkudulis Island has value of 27.71 and categorized in the category of environmentally friendly. Where the set net fishing gear meets three criteria of environmental friendliness namely X2 not damage the environment, X5 the production does not harm the consumers, and X7 impact to the biodiversity.

Aceh is a province located at the western tip of Indonesia. Aceh's territorial waters are very strategic waters. The dominant fishing gear used by fishermen in Aceh is the purse seine. The reason many fishermen use purse seines in Aceh is because the waters of Aceh have a lot of pelagic fish potential, where the target of purse seines is pelagic fish. The purpose of this research is to know and understand the construction of purse seines in KM Marwah Lampulo Aceh Utara; as well as knowing and understanding the operation of purse seine fishing gear in Lampulo, North Aceh. The type of purse seine used by KM Marwah is trapezoid. Ring seine construction with PE (Polyethylene) nets with mesh sizes of 1-3 inches. The upper ris rope is 600 m long and 10 mm in diameter, while the lower ris rope is 12 mm in diameter, with a length of 600 m. Selvedge is used for net protection so that it is not easily torn. PE (Polyethylene) rope with a length of 650 meters. PE (polyethylene) based weight rope. Ring strap with a diameter of 10 mm and made from PE (polyethylene). 6000 pieces of PVC-based buoys and 4800 lead-based weights. The operation of the purse seine consists of a setting, namely the process of preparing and lowering the trawl fishing gear into the water, after the catch is collected and the nets have formed a bowl, then proceed with hauling, which is the activity of raising fishing gear onto the ship.
