<p>The success of an education is largely determined by many factors, some of the factors in supportingthese successes are the quality of human resources (HR), facilities, infrastructure, and the curriculum used. The change in curriculum requires teachers to understand and be able to implement all these changes in the learning process in the classroom, but not many teachers understand and are able to implement these changes in learning activities, especially in the use of learning methods. Therefore, this paper will attempt to examine the <em>Sad Dharma </em>method of learning of Hindu religious education and character entitled "<em>Sad Dharma</em> as a Learning Method of Hindu Religious Education and Character of 2013 Curriculum in SMPGurukula Bangli". This paper used qualitative research methods, the location of research was in SMP Gurukula Bangli, the type of data was descriptive data with primary and secondary data sources, informant determination techniques used purposive sampling technique, data collection methods used observation, interview, library study, and documentation techniques, and used data analysis techniques and presentation techniques of data analysis results. Based on the tests which were carried out, it could be stated that the <em>Sad Dharma </em>method was applied in its entirety starting from the <em>dharma wacana</em>, <em>dharma tula</em>, <em>dharma santi</em>, <em>dharma gita</em>, <em>dharma sadhana,</em> and <em>dharma yatra</em>. Constraints faced by its implementation were teacher, facilities, and curriculum. The implications of the implementationof <em>Sad Dharma </em>learning methods were the implications for spiritual attitudes, implications for social attitudes, implications for cognitive/knowledge and implications for psychomotor aspects.</p>

As with other university programs, dental school has been affected during the Covid-19 pandemic due to physical distancing and clinical restriction. Covid-19 pandemic changes the original method of study with the swift shift to online learning, which may affect students’ performance. The objective of this study was to assess the effect of online learning methods on the final examination performance for dental undergraduate students in their clinical years in a public university in Malaysia. One-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) and post-hoc Tukey tests were conducted to compare the effect of learning methods on the mean examination score, by comparing clinical students from the year of 2018 and 2019 face-to-face (f2f) learning method as compared to fully online learning in 2020. The analysis shows that there is a statistically significant difference on final exam performance at p < 0.05 for Year 3 [F (2, 102) = 11.68] and Year 5 [F(2, 95) = 22.32]. Post-hoc Tukey HSD test indicates that the mean examination result for 2019 is significantly different from 2020 and 2018 even though the same learning method was employed for the latter. There was also no statistically significant difference for when the 2020 cohort is compared to the 2018 cohort for both Year 3 and Year 5. There was no statistically significant difference in mean examination score across all cohorts for Year 4 students. Although limited in scope, the conclusion of this study was that, f2f learning method has no significant difference with online learning in terms of final examination performance.

This study aimed to determine the academic performance and learning skills of students who studied through remote teaching methods during the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic. It was conducted in February 2021 with 398 university students in South Korea. Data were collected through online surveys. Generalized estimating equations (GEEs) with an autoregressive correlation structure were employed to distinguish differences in core competencies, academic performance, satisfaction, and usefulness of teaching methods before 2019 and after the COVID-19 pandemic. The findings revealed that the overall core competencies of participants were significantly lower in 2020 than before the COVID-19 pandemic. Furthermore, knowledge construction, responsibility practice, and socialization were significantly low during the COVID-19 pandemic, whereas information management and identity value did not show a significant difference. However, problem-solving was higher during the COVID-19 pandemic. Enhancing the core competencies of university students is integral in the new learning environment of the post-COVID-19 era. It is necessary to devise approaches that improve the effectiveness of remote teaching methods and simultaneously augment student satisfaction.
