Tourism object Bumi Kedaton Resort (BKR) is one of the tourist attractions that can be found in the Province of Lampung and opened to the public in 2009 so that the unknown diversity of attitude necessary for a visitor management strategy from BKR to be able to attract visitors because of competition in the world tourist attractions then increasingly need to give satisfaction to the visitor so that visitors wishing to come back. Therefore need to do research to find out the value of tourist services BKR and economic characteristics of visitors. Economic value of tourism services can be found using the method of travel expenses. The research was carried out in December 2014-February 2015 by doing the interview and questionnaire distributed directly to the respondent as much as 99 people. Sampling of respondents do with inccidental sampling methods respondents who happened to be there on site research with sampling techniques in a non random sampling because not all individuals in the population earn the same opportunities to provide samples. Sampling is done starting at 09:00am-4:00 pm WIB each day and by the time the school holidays, christmas, new year and chinese new year. The results of the determination of the cost of travel of visitors then tested with the method of multiple linear regression using software Minitab 16. The research results showed that travel costs averaged visitors amounted to Rp. 109.176,26/people/visits for all zoning are examined. Calculation based on research data obtained economic values of tourism services BKR is Rp. 24.559.199,69/year. Characteristics that give visitors a real influence against the economic value of tourism services BKR i.e. time visiting when the Sunday school holiday, Chinese new year, christmas and new year, as well as the distance that has value P Value < 0.1. The determination of an asset’s economic value has always been an important step in improving its management. The Madrid Region legislated the application of the first version of the Norma Granada as a method of appraising ornamental trees. However, the trees in the city of Madrid are only assessed in terms of ecosystem services (i-Tree Eco). A photograph of the asset to be appraised is often used in studies on the valuation of publicly-owned socio-environmental assets such as trees or landscapes. As a tree’s value is very closely linked to its size and to a number of features that can be seen through direct observation of the specimen, it is important to verify the validity of photographs as a method for obtaining the public’s opinion. This work presents a comparison between the valuations chosen by members of the public when observing the tree in situ and in a photograph. The aim is to verify the validity of photographs for their application to a larger sample and to understand qualitatively how citizens assess the trees in a city. The following appraisal methods were used: the American method, Council of Tree Landscape Appraisers (CTLA), Norma Granada and the Burnley method. The survey consisted of ten specimens from ten different species, and ten surveys were taken for each stem, making a total of 100 for each tree species and 1000 surveys in all. The surveys were done randomly and individually. Each interviewed chose one of the three values they were shown when observing the specimen in the photograph and in situ; 84% of the 1000 surveys gave as a result the same value choice when looking at the specimen on site and seeing it in a photograph.

Increasing of Earthworm Cultivation Business in Teras District Boyolali Regency. Earthworms are soft-bodied, invertebrates, and have many functions as decomposer organisms, fertilizer producers from organic waste, and animal protein sources. Earthworms have high economic value. This community service aims to increase the capacity of earthworm cultivation through improved feed, use of vermicompost, and improvement of business bookkeeping on partner SMEs. The community service method is socialization, earthworm cultivation training, the introduction of media (feed), bookkeeping management training, and mentoring. Community service activities are earthworm cultivation training, introducing palm dregs and tofu dregs as media (feed), vermicompost as organic fertilizer, simple bookkeeping training, and mentoring. This community service activity can increase earthworms' production capacity by 50 - 70% per two months. SMEs have other alternative media (feed), namely palm dregs and tofu dregs, for worm cultivation. SMEs are already using vermicompost as organic fertilizer. SMEs have simple bookkeeping because they have recorded the financial income and expenditure of earthworm cultivation. Overall, this service activity has provided additional knowledge for SMEs to run a business so that the business is expected to progress and develop.

Abstract Nitrogen in 12 milk samples was measured in 19 laboratories by the Kjeldahl method. Three of the 19 laboratories were excluded from statistical analysis because the nitrogen values they reported differed markedly from those reported by the remaining 16 laboratories. The average standard deviation for the determinations was 0.012% nitrogen, which is equal to 0.077% protein. Analysis of variance indicated that the error due to the laboratories effect was significant when 16 laboratories were considered. When the laboratories were sorted according to various experience criteria, the variations due to laboratories were significant. When the laboratories were blocked according to catalyst used, the variation among laboratories was not significant.

The concentration of essential metals such as Fe, Cu, Mg, Co and Zn and toxic metals such as Pb, Cd, Cr, As and Ni were determined in a number of animal meats, organ meats, meat products, and eggs by using UV-visible and atomic absorption spectrophotometry (AAS). The essential metal estimation in the investigated samples indicated the following range of concentration: Fe: 11 - 623 mg kg-1, Cu: 1 - 165 mg kg-1, Mg: 16 - 1372 mg kg-1, Co: 0.01 - 48 mg kg-1, Zn: 15 - 295 mg kg-1. These concentrations of essential metals are in the range of human necessities. The concentrations of toxic metals in the same samples were: Pb: 0.03 - 43 mg kg-1, Cd: 0.01- 8 mg kg-1, Cr: 0.02 - 5 mg kg-1, As: 0.004 - 3 mg kg-1 and Ni: 0.03 - 41 mg kg-1. The concentration of arsenic in all samples was found negligible and this indicates that the investigated samples are safe from arsenic toxicity. The concentrations of other four toxic metals being very negligible in most of the samples indicate that these foodstuffs are reasonably safe from metal toxicity. However a few samples which exhibited higher concentrations of these metals above their tolerance limits are alarming for the public health and demand regular examination of these items before coming to the markets. The information obtained from the present investigation is expected to be useful to the general people of this region in selecting meats as their diets. Traffic congestion problems generally caused by the increasing use of private vehicles and public transportations. In order to overcome the situation, the optimization of public transportation’s route is required particularly the urban transportation. In this research, the performance analysis of Firefly and Tabu Search algorithm is conducted to optimize eleven public transportation’s routes in Bandung. This optimization aims to increase the dispersion of public transportation’s route by expanding the scope of route that are crossed by public transportation so that it can reach the entire Bandung city and increase the driver’s income by providing the passengers easier access to public transportations in order to get to their destinations. The optimal route is represented by the route with most roads and highest number of incomes. In this research, the comparison results between the reference route and the public transportation’s optimized route increasing the dispersion of public transportation’s route to 60,58% and increasing the driver’s income to 20,03%.
