This research aimed to analyze the function and content of community limerick in Desa Kopong, Kecamatan Kewapante, Kabupaten Sikka. Spoken literature works are largely practiced in this community to transfer messages among people. This research employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. The obtained data were in the form of rhymes and verses obtained from engagement techniques and participant observation. The obtained data were analyzed through content analysis techniques and data validation with triangulation methods. Results showed that the community limerick in Desa Kopong functions as a means of recreation, aesthetics, didactic, morality, and religion. The content of the limericks includes reinforcement of the values ​​of grit, resilience, politeness, volunteerism, and religion. Finding from this research is significant for Bahasa Indonesia (BI) lesson in junior high schools (SMP), especially related to students’ competency in analyzing the forms and contents of community limerick.

This study seeks to identify the basic values of humanity presented in the Indonesian language textbook used in Junior High Schools. This study used a qualitative approach, with a textbook as a case study (specifically the Indonesian language textbook for the seventh, eighth, and ninth grades). The data considered took the form of words, phrase, sentences, discourse, and pictures showing the basic values of humanity. Data was collected a questionnaire which was subsequently analyzed. First, data were firstly classified according to the taxonomy and characteristic. Then codes were assigned to the different classifications. Then referential comparison techniques were used to measure the structure of basic values of humanity in the textbooks. This was followed by the construction of a basic pattern and the validation of the data. The research identified fifteen main points, they were scientific perspective, materials concept explication, curriculum relevance, interesting, increasing motivation, stimulating students’ activities, illustrative, understandable, supporting the other subjects, respecting individual differences, stabilizing values, protecting men and women’s rights, appreciation towards achievements, supporting freedom of speech, and respecting the essence of human being. From those fifteen main points, four points need to be improved, they are: stimulating students’ activities, illustrative, protecting men and women’s rights, and supporting freedom of speech. Sustainable professional development of pedagogic teachers is a strategic effort to improve the competence and performance of teachers in carrying out their duties and functions as planners, implementers, and evaluation of learning in  the classroom. This research aims to examine the improvement of innovative, creative, adaptive, and productive quality of PBI based on Indonesian text and character through the SKBP model of teachers in junior high schools and MTs. This research was  conducted using qualitative approach with survey type. The research subjects were PBI teachers in 6 junior high schools and MTs selected research target locations by using random patterns of strata. Descriptive data of 5 research objects obtained by researchers as a key instrument with interview techniques, questionnaires, and focused observations. Data analysis was carried out using a flow model during the study.  The development models used are  R2D2 model: Recursive, Reflective Instructional Design and Development  and Oxford training strategy model. The assessment of the effectiveness of the SKBP model was carried out using a qualitative approach with the type of class action research of the Kemmis and Taggart models. The research subjects were PBI teachers and grade VIII students at 6 junior high schools in Malang districts and cities. Further data analysis is done descriptively, including (1) improvement of pbi process based on Indonesian text and character using SKBP model and (2) improvement of PBI results based on Indonesian text and character using SKBP model.

<p>ABSTRACT <br />This study aims to determine concrete data about the etymology of suffixes foreigners in Indonesian on a<br />rubric Zoom Out in the newspaper tempo, to determine concrete data about the meaning resulting from the<br />process etymology suffixes foreign Indonesian language and to determine concrete data regarding the change<br />of speech resulting from the process etymology foreign suffixes in Indonesian.Methods used to determine the<br />etymology of suffixes foreigners in Indonesian on the rubric Zoom Out in Koran Tempo is by using<br />descriptive method with pedekatan qualitative emphasize on content analysis, qualitative approach which is<br />based on the level of morphology relating to the issue said that experienced the process affix particleform<br />Indonesian foreign suffix.After the authors analyzed the etymology of suffixes foreigners in Indonesian on the<br />rubric Zoom Out in Koran Tempo, the author can draw the conclusion that the use of words using the suffix<br />foreigners in Indonesian as many as 166 words, suffixes foreigners in Indonesian form a noun or adjective,<br />either which comes from the verb, noun or adjective. <p>The rationale of conducting this research came from observations carried out in Junior High Schools in Padang City regarding the large amounts of BOS (School Operational Assistance Fund Program) funds being returned to the government from schools. This phenomenon indicates that the government has not reached the targeted execution rates of BOS funds given to schools. The research method used to analyze the factors causing the low absorption of BOS funds was a descriptive method with a quantitative approach through percentage equations. According to the BOS budgets, the results obtained were 43.9% of schools involved teachers, education personnel, and school committees in planning activities. 43.7% of schools were able to account for the financial reports of BOS funds, while 51.8% of schools were wrong in understanding the regulations. In managing BOS funds, 59.9% of schools had competent human resources, actively participated in Bimtek activities, and had integrity. Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan nilai pendidikan karakter dalam buku teks bahasa Indonesia SMP yang dipakai di DIY. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif yang berwujud kajian tekstual. Sumber data penelitian adalah buku teks bahasa Indonesia SMP kelas VII, VIII, dan IX yang dipakai di DIY. Analisis data dilakukan dengan metode padan subjenis inferensial. Validitas data dengan validitas semantik sedangkan reliabilitas data dengan teknik intrarater dan interater. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai pendidikan karakter dalam buku teks pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia SMP di DIY ditemukan terdiri atas lima hubungan karakter. Kelima hubungan karakter tersebut, meliputi nilai karakter manusia terhadap Tuhan, diri sendiri, sesama, lingkungan, dan bangsa. Di antara kelima hubungan karakter dalam buku teks pelajaran, hubungan karakter manusia terhadap Tuhan yang paling sedikit ditemukan. Sebaliknya, karakter manusia terhadap diri sendiri dan sesama lebih intensif kemunculannya. Hal itu menyiratkan bahwa penulis buku ingin menekankan pada aspek manusia yang memiliki kehidupan pribadi dan kehidupan sosial. Kata Kunci: pendidikan karakter, buku teks, SMP CHARACTER EDUCATION VALUES IN THE INDONESIAN LANGUAGE TEXT BOOKS FOR JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOLS IN SPECIAL REGION OF YOGYAKARTA Abstract: This study aimed at describing the character education values in the Indonesian language textbooks used for junior high schools in DIY. This research was a descriptive textual study. The data sources were the Indonesian language textbooks used in grades VII, VIII, and IX of junior high schools in DIY. Data analysis was performed using inferential subtype match. Validity of the data used semantic validity, while reliability of data used techniques of intrarater and interater. The results showed that the values of character education in the Indonesian language textbooks for junior high schools in the province consisted of five character relationships. The five relationships included the value of human characters towards God, ourselves, others, the environment, and the nation. Among the five relationships in textbooks, the character of the relationship between man and God was found to be the least. In contrast, the human character of relationship between self and others apperared to more intensive. This implies that the author wants to emphasize the human aspect that has a stronger tendency towards personal and social lives. Keywords: character education, textbooks, SMP

The curriculum is the heart of education, whose job determines the life or death of a school. This study aimed to compare the implementation of Adiwiyata school curriculum between public and private school in junior high schools, especially in Bantul Regency, Yogyakarta, Indonesia. Data collection techniques by means of literature studies. Data analysis techniques were carried out with qualitative comparative analysis. The results showed that: public and private schools in junior high schools in Bantul Regency, had fulfilled the four main components of the Adiwiyata curriculum, in terms of objectives, content, methods, and evaluation. The implementation of Adiwiyata curriculum in each public and private school varies according to the characteristics and potential of each school.

This study aims to describe efforts to improve the learning of playing melodica for students at SMP Negeri 12 in South Solok Regency. The research uses a descriptive qualitative approach. The object of this research was the Efforts to Improve melodica Learning, at SMP Negeri 12 South Solok Regency, which is contained in the implementation of melodica playing instruction. The data sourced from observations and interviews. The interviews used to collect the data were planned interviews and unplanned interviews. After the data were collected through data collection techniques, the next step done was classifying the data based on their importance.Based on the results of research conducted at SMP Negeri 12 in South Solok Regency, in the subject of Music Arts, there is one of the subjects related to playing Nusantara ethnic songs using a melodica. Melodica is a musical instrument which has an important role in learning music in Junior High Schools. Melodica is not only found in learning but in extracurricular activities such as marching band, and melodica also plays an important role in playing song melodies.Keywords: arts, music, pianica, student

<div align="center"><table width="645" border="1" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0"><tbody><tr><td valign="top" width="439"><p><strong>Abstract:</strong> This study aims to determine the management of community participation in organizing education in junior high schools. qualitative approach was used in this research with multi-site study design. Through observation, interviews and documentation to collect data. The results of this study indicate that: (1) participation required: thoughts, energy, facilities and goods owned by the community, (2) elements of community participation: KTBT, parents of students, village institutions, religious leaders, ( 3) in the program to increase participation by analyzing problems, potentials and needs of the community, (4) recognizing the existence of the community, fostering a sense of belonging, trust, including community leaders in every activity and giving freedom to provide input and advice, (5) level community participation from both schools is still at the level of placation, (6) the results and the impact of community participation are felt by the school and the community itself.</p><p class="Abstract"><strong>Abstrak:</strong><em> </em>Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui jalanya manajemen partisipasi masyarakat dalam penyelenggaraan pendidikan di Sekolah Menengah Pertama. Pendekatan kualitatif digunakan dalam penelitian ini dengan desain studi multi situs. Melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi untuk mengumpulkan data. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: (1) peran serta yang dibutuhkan: pikiran, tenaga, fasilitas dan barang yang dimiliki masyarakat, (2) unsur peran serta masyarakat: KTBT Pulau Damer, orangtua peserta didik, lembaga desa, pemuka agama, (3) dalam program untuk meningkatkan peran serta dengan menganalisis masalah, potensi serta kebutuhan masyarakat, (4) mengakui keberadaan masyarakat, menumbuhkan rasa memiliki, rasa kepercayaan, mengikutsertakan tokoh masyarakat dalam setiap kegiatan dan memberilakn kebebasan dalam memberikan masukan dan saran, (5) tingkat peran serta masyarakat dari kedua sekolah masih berada dalam tingkat <em>placation</em>, (6) hasil dan dampak peran serta masyarakat dirasakan oleh pihak sekolah dan masyarakat itu sendiri.</p></td></tr></tbody></table></div>
