The Unusual Uses subtest of the Torrance Tests of Creative Thinking and the Rotter Social Reaction Inventory were administered to a total population of 168 graduate students at a predominantly Black university. Internality-externality scores were used to assign students to internal or external groups. This grouping was the independent variable, while the four measures of creativity the Unusual Uses test yields - fluency, flexibility, elaboration, and originality - were the dependent variables. Internals and externals were compared on each of these four measures via t-tests. Internals were found to have significantly higher scores on the flexibility and originality measures, while the externals had significantly higher elaboration scores. No significant differences were obtained between the internal and external groups for fluency.

The Torrance Tests of Creative Thinking and the Kogan and Wallach Choice Dilemma Questionnaire were administered to a total population of 66 graduate students at a predominantly black university. Risk-taking scores were used to assign students to group with preference for high risk or low risk. This grouping was the independent variable while the four measures of creativity on the Torrance test, Fluency, Flexibility, Elaboration, and Originality, were the dependent variables. Individuals high and low in risk were compared on each measure via T tests. High risk-takers had significantly higher scores on Flexibility and Originality while the low risk-takers had significantly higher Elaboration scores. No significant differences were observed between the two groups on Fluency.

Implementation of the sobel formula on the web is used to predict the indirect effect between independent and dependent variables. This web application, can be used to perform simple regression analysis as well as multiple linear regression. A simple linear regression consists of one independent variable (x) and one dependent variable (y) that serves to find out how closely the relationship of two variables and know the contribution of the independent variable (x) in explaining the dependent variable and can make predictions. Double linear regression consists of two or more independent vaiabel (x) and one dependent variable (y). The data in this study can be either cross section or team series data. The purpose of implementation of sobel formula is to facilitate the researchers by utilizing the internet network that is connected on the web. The result of the implementation of the sobel formula is on the site https://thingdiputra.github.io/
Keywords: Linear regression, intervening variable, sobel formula

Nowadays, education is an unseperatble part of indivudials’ career succesfull. Vocational schools play an important role to increasing the chance to individuals get a future bright of their career life. The paper shows an effort to explain the relationship between internal locus of control with vocational maturity among vocational students in Medan, Indonesia. A total of 115 respondents were selected from 460 of total population in a public vocational school. Data were collected through a survey among the participants manually and the research employs the Pearson Correlation to analyze the data and test the hypothesis. Result pointed out that correlation coefficient rxy = 0,562 with p value = 0.000 (p <0,050). In summary, the internal locus of control as the independent variable has a relationship with the vocational maturity.

Though a lot of studies have been done to conclude customer loyalty as dependent variable but still there is a vast margin of researches to be conducted in future in different spheres of this construct. On the other hand the truth of the importance of customer loyalty as an enduring asset cannot be falsified. It is fundamental for organizations to build up long term and mutual beneficial associations with the customers. The purpose of this research paper is to show the inter relationship of reputation, customer satisfaction and trust on customer loyalty. According to the observations reputation is the major independent variable that has significant relationship with customer satisfaction, customer loyalty, and trust. Data for this research study was taken from the Islamia University, Quaid-e-Azam Medical College, and different banks located at various geographic locations of Bahawalpur region of Pakistan. Data was collected through self administered questionnaire and analyzed by using regression through SPSS. The results have been drawn from 150 users of NISHAT LINEN and it was found that there is positive and significant relationship among reputation, customer satisfaction, trust and customer loyalty. Hence the studies give the positive sign that with the increment of reputation, customer satisfaction and trust the customer loyalty enhances.

Contradictory results have been published on the relationship of locus of control with job involvement, so in this study occupational needs were tested as moderators between the variables. Needs were measured with Ghiselli's Self-description Inventory, job involvement with Kanungo's Job Involvement scale, and locus of control with Pettersen's scale. Job involvement of 220 mainly female teachers was significantly predicted by extrinsic needs, and that of 213 female secretaries rather by intrinsic needs. Job involvement related to extrinsic needs was not associated with locus of control, while this relationship with intrinsic needs and job involvement was not needed for internal locus of control to correlate with job involvement. Especially the combination of strong intrinsic and extrinsic needs moderated the correlation, although locus of control could correlate with job involvement also for subjects with weak needs. The correlations were independent of internality of control or the amount of involvement. These results suggest that locus of control and job involvement are independent variables, and the former cannot be used as a predictor of the latter.

The purpose of the present study was to investigate the relationship between anomie theory, as measured by Srole's Anomie Scale, and the respondents self-admitted drug use (alcohol, marijuana, tobacco, amphetamines, and barbiturates). An analysis of self-reported drug use data was conducted of a general Texas adult population. This analysis included a series of bivariate cross comparison correlations between the independent variable (anomie) and the dependent drug variables. The relationship between the independent and dependent variables were further examined by calculating the correlation and level of significance within selected categories of several demographic (age, race, sex, education, income, and marital status) control variables. The results indicated that anomie was significantly correlated with several of the drug variables. However, these associations were extremely weak and of little explanatory value. It was concluded that, within the framework of this analysis, anomie theory fails to provide an adequate explanation for the use of drugs.

One of negative behavior that is mostly done by adolescents is bullying, this behavior is prevalent in the school enviroment. Generally, the factor that influence bullying behavior are family factors, shool factor, peer factor. The focus was on the influence of parenting style because it has a correlation between parenting on an aggressive behavior. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship of parenting to bullying behavior in Bolangitan 1 N Senior High study approach. The total population was 48 respondents. The result of study by using the Chi Square statistical tes tah there is a significant relationship between parenting of bullying behavior in Bolangitan N 1 School with a value (p value: 0,000). It can concluded there is a significant relationship between parenting style towards bullying behavior in Bolangitan 1 Senior High School. It suggest that counseling can be held about bullying behavior and its response to adolescents.

The study aims to obtain empirical information that knowledge, situation, attitude and motivation have positive relationship simultaneously and partially with laptop purchasing decision from students of Economic Faculty of Catholic University Darma Cendika Surabaya. Problems and hypothesis are formulated based on references and empirical studies. To test the hypothesis used regression conversion F test (linearitan) to determine whether the relationship between the dependent variable with the independent variable is linear or not. The correlation coefficient test is used to determine the size of the correlation coefficient whether significant or not. Population in this research is students of Economic Faculty of Catholic University Darma Cendika Surabaya with amount of sample counted 100 people. The end result of the study shows that the partial correlation test shows: (i) knowledge has a correlation coefficient of 0,034 with significance of 0,738 > 0,05, meaning the correlation coefficient is not significant; (ii) the situation has a correlation coefficient of 0,365 with significant 0,00 < 0,05, meaning significant correlation coefficient; (iii) attitude of having correlation coefficient 0,416 with significance 0,00 < 0,05, meaning significant correlation coefficient; and (iv) motivation has a correlation coefficient of 0,232 with a significance of 0,022 < 0,05, meaning the correlation coefficient is significant. Simultaneously, the dependent variable relation (X) with independent variable (Y) is positive with adjusted R Square (R2) of 0,428 which means that 42,8% purchase decision of laptop students of Economic Faculty of Catholic University Darma Cendika Surabaya can be explained by the four dependent variables, while the remaining 57,2% of the decision to purchase laptop students of Economic Faculty of Catholic University Darma Cendika Surabaya can be explained by other variables outside of the four dependent variables currently being studied.
