Teaching is a dynamic process that involves a quick decision-making process. Teaching is also an activity that refers to what students need. This decision-making process often appears as a reflection of what the teacher believes and as a reflection of the theory adopted by the institution where the teacher works. This study addresses the teachers’ beliefs in teaching English at different situation. The method used in this research is qualitative descriptive by using questionnaire and interview as data collection technique. The respondents are two lecturers from FEB Unila and FKIP Unila. The study aims at (1) exploring teachers’ beliefs in teaching and learning process at two different faculties, and (2) describing the factors that shape teachers’ beliefs in teaching and learning process at two different faculties. The findings showed different beliefs regarding teaching and learning process between two lecturers and stated that college was counted as the contributed factor that shapes their beliefs in English teaching and learning process.

This study aimed to assess the pedagogical approaches and its effectivity in the preparation of daily lesson log in Mathematics of public elementary teachers in Tuy district. One hundred eight (108) public elementary teachers were selected in this descriptive-correlational study. Questionnaire was used as the main data gathering instrument. The data were analysed using weighted mean, ranking and t-test. The study yielded the results: Most of the respondents were on middle-ages, female, married, Bachelor’s degree holders, five years below in service and on teacher III positions. The respondents when preparing daily lesson log always use teachers’ guide aligned with the curriculum, meet competencies using collaborative activities, drill and practice strategy, use variety of instructional materials, monitor learner’s participation in discussion and allot time carefully. Further, in whatever profile variables, the respondents prepared daily lesson log in Mathematics using pedagogical approaches in terms of curriculum content, learning competencies, teaching strategies, instructional materials, learning process and time allotment therefore there was no significant difference in their assessments. Additionally, a significant relationship with high positive correlation between the pedagogical approaches and its effectivity in the preparation of daily lesson log in Mathematics implied that using those approaches is an effective way to cater the needs, interests, individual differences and various learning styles among pupils. Lastly, a pedagogical approaches model was designed to guide the teachers to prepare an effective daily lesson log in Mathematics and improve teaching and learning process.

Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menemukan model pendidikan karakter melalui lagu tradisonal Jawa; mendeskripsikan strategi penanaman nilai dalam model pendidikan karakter melalui lagu tradisional Jawa pada taman kanak-kanak di Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta, Indonesia. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan tahap implementasi dengan tahapan: (1) pelaksanaan rencana kegiatan harian pembelajaran karakter; (2) analisis data proses pembelajaran; (3) evaluasi dan revisi rencana kegiatan harian dan praktek pembelajaran; (4) praktek pembelajaran dan menemukan model pendidikan karakter melalui lagu tradisional Jawa di Taman Kanak-Kanak. Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa para guru telah dapat menerapkan strategi penanaman nilai untuk pendidikan karakter melalui lagu tradisional Jawa. Lagu tradisional Jawa telah dinyanyikan dengan gerakan permainan anak didik bersama guru. Nilai-nilai yang terkandung di dalam lagu tradisonal Jawa telah ditanamkan oleh para guru dan dapat dipahami dengan baik oleh peserta didik, yaitu (1) lagu gundulgundul pacul (baik, rendah hati, tanggung jawab); (2) sluku-sluku bathok (cinta kepada Tuhan, taat beribadah, dermawan, kerjasama; (3) jaranan (hormat dan sopan santun, tanggung jawab, kedisiplinan, kerjasama); (4) menthog-menthog (baik dan rendah hati, kedamaian, percaya diri); (5) Lir-Ilir (cinta kepada Tuhan, tanggung jawab dan disiplin; (6) Kidang Talun (tata cara makan, berdoa sebelum makan); (7) Padang Bulan (tidak tidur sore-sore, kerja sama) dan (8) Dondong Apa Salak (taat pada orang tua, tidak rewel dan tidak nakal). Kata Kunci: pendidikan karakter, penanaman nilai, lagu tradisional Jawa A MODEL OF CHARAKTER EDUCATION BASED ON LOCAL EDUCATION WISDOM AT ELEMENTARY SCHOOL IN BANTUL Abstract: This research aimed to find a character education model through traditional Javanese songs; to describe the value nurturance strategy in the character education model through traditional Javanese songs at kindergartens in Yogyakarta Special Territory, Indonesia. This was a research and development study at the implementation stage with the steps of: (1) the implementation of daily activity plan for the character nurturance; (2) analysis of teaching and learning process data; (3) evaluation and revision of the daily activity plan and the practice of teaching and learning; (4) the teaching and learning practice and finding the model of character education through the use of traditional Javanese songs at kindergartens. The results showed that the teachers were already able to implement the value nurturance strategy for character education through the use of traditional Javanese songs. The traditional Javanese songs were sung accompanied by game moves of the students and the teacher. The values contained in the traditional Javanese songs were already established by the teachers and could be well understood by the learners, namely the songs of: (1) Gundul-gundul pacul (the character of kindness, humbleness, responsibility); (2) Sluku-sluku bathok (loving God, obedience in serving God, generosity, cooperation); (3) Jaranan (respect and politeness, responsibility, discipline, cooperation); (4) Menthog-menthog (kindness and humbleness, peace, self-confidence); (5) Lir-ilir (loving God, responsibility and discipline); (6) Kidang talun (table manner, praying before eating); (7) Padang bulan (not going to bed too early, cooperation); and (8) Dondong apa salak (obeying parents, not fussy and not naughty). This study aims to determine the extent to which the teaching staff in the Semarang State Polytechnic Accounting Department applies a style of speech; i.e. either oratory, deliberative, consultative, relaxed, or intimate. The data collection is done by questionnaire and class observation. The population of this study consists of teaching staff at the Semarang State Polytechnic Accounting Department. The data is more qualitative, which is more in the form of a description of the characteristics of the respondents and not much related to the numbers. Sampling technique is done by population, namely all teaching staff of Semarang State Polytechnic Accounting Department. Data analysis is carried out by a Likert Scale of 5. The results indicate that Consultative Speech is the style most widely applied by the Teaching Staff of the Semarang State Polytechnic Accounting Department, while the oratoric speaking style is the least practiced style. Extemporan presentation method is the most widely applied method in the activities of the Teaching and Learning Process in the Semarang State Polytechnic Accounting Department, while the impromptu method is the least applied method. The most widely used body language is a smile, while eye flicker is the least applied body language. The distance between the Teaching Staff and Students in the Teaching and Learning Process activities that are most widely applied are groups (125-350 cm), while the least applied distance is intimate (50 cm). The results of this study support the previous research that the use of Body Language greatly affects the success of the Teaching and Learning process.

 Interests and number of STMIK Balikpapan new student enrollments are increasing every year. The balance of the ratio of lecturers to students is one of the most important components in improving the quality and teaching and learning process of a university. Avoiding shortages in the number of lecturers can be realized by providing scholarship programs to alumni and teaching assistants. This study aims to build a multi criteria decision making application that can assist the Head of HRD in the process of receiving scholarships to advanced and effective study lecturers. The multi criteria decision making application developed in this study uses the SAW method. The implementation of the SAW method includes the process of evaluating the weighting of criteria, evaluating alternative weights, the matrix process, the results of decision making preferences, resulting in the weighting and ranking of each alternative candidate for the scholarship recipient. The results of the evaluation of multi-criteria application decision making in the study are expected to produce modeling with a high degree of accuracy. The results of the analysis carried out can provide alternative recommendations for prospective scholarship recipients to advanced study lecturers in STMIK Balikpapan.

Abstract The internet can be made as a way to transfer knowledge from lecturers to students, while Learning that utilizes the internet is one of the E-Learning Learning media. E-learning is distance learning that utilizes computer technology or computer networks or the Internet E-learning, so that it can enable the learning process through computers in their respective places without having to physically go to attend classes or lectures in class, Systems e-learning learning is a new way of teaching and learning. E-learning as a special learning media PAI courses provide a very important role and a large function in the course because so far there are many shortcomings and weaknesses such as the limitations of space and time in the teaching and learning process through E-learning which prioritizes the efficiency of learning so students get full teaching even though they do not have to be face to face, can also be accessed anywhere, anytime, according to the assignments given by the lecturer usually scheduled with a specified deadline. The development of education towards e-learning is a must so that the quality standards of education can be improved, E-learning is one of the uses of internet technology in the delivery of learning and its broad reach. Adapun Pembelajaran yang memanfaatkan internet salah satunya adalah media pembelajaran E-Learning. E-learning adalah pembelajaran jarak jauh (distance learning) yang memanfaatkan  teknologi komputer atau jaringan komputer atau internet E-learning, sehingga dapat  memungkinkan proses pembelajaran melalui komputer di tempat mereka  masing– masing tanpa harus secara fisik  pergi  mengikuti pelajaran atau pun  perkuliahan di kelas,  Sistem pembelajaran e-learning adalah cara baru dalam proses belajar mengajar. E-learning  sebagai   media pembelajaran khususnya mata kuliah PAI memberikan  peran   sangat   penting  dan fungsi yang besar pada mata kuliah tersebut karena selama  ini terdapat banyak  kekurangan  dan kelemahan seperti keterbatasan ruang dan waktu dalam  proses belajar  mengajar melalui E-learning yang  mengedepankan keefisienan dalam belajar sehingga  mahasiswa mendapat pengajaran yang penuh meski tidak harus bertatap muka, juga bisa di akses di mana saja, kapan saja,  sesuai dengan tugas yang diberikan oleh dosen biasanya terjadwal dengan  batas  waktu  yang  di tentukan. Pengembangan  pendidikan menuju e-learning merupakan suatu keharusan agar standar mutu pendidikan dapat ditingkatkan,  E-learning merupakan salah satu penggunaan teknologi internet dalam penyampaian  pembelajaran  serta  jangkauannya yang luas. E-learning  juga dapat menjadi jawaban dari suatu permasalahan kesehatan yaitu Pandemi Corona (Covid-19) ini yang sangat berpengaruh juga pada setiap aspek kehidupan terutama bidang pendidikan.Kata kunci  :  Keefektifitas, Pemanfaatan, Pendidikan Agama Islam,  E-Learning, Covid 19.

The process and student learning outcomes in science learning material properties of light is a problem faced by class IV SD Negeri 3 Mengwi. Student activity and learning outcomes have not been maximized because the teacher delivered science learning materials using the lecture method. This is the background of the researchers to conduct research with the aim of improving the process and learning outcomes of science with material properties of light with learning models Contextual Teaching and Learning. This research is a type of classroom action research conducted in SD Negeri 3 Mengwi. The subjects of this study were fourth grade students, amounting to 27 students consisting of 14 female students and 13 male students. The implementation of this study used 2 cycles. Instruments used to collect data are observation sheets, interviews, documentation and test questions. The results of this study indicate that science learning outcomes with material properties of light using the Contextual Teaching and Learning model in SD Negeri 3 Mengwi have increased in two cycles with quite satisfactory values. There was an increase in learning outcomes from cycle 1 an average value of 68.51 to 75.37 in cycle 2. In addition, there was an increase in the learning process of students in science learning carried out by teachers using the Contextual Teaching and Learning model. The objective of this study was to investigate whether the application of Teams-Games-Tournament Technique improve the students achievement in Speaking. This study was an classroom action research. The subject of this study was class XI IPA 3 SMA Muhammadiyah 8 Kisaran which consists of 35 students. The study was conducted in two cycles, cycle I consisted of three meetings and cycle II was consisted of three meetings. The instruments for collecting data were quantitative (oral speaking test) and qualitative data (observation sheet and diary note). Based on speaking scores, students’ score kept improving in every evaluation and based on observation sheet and diary note, it was found that teaching and learning process ran well. Students could enlarge their thinking process. The result of this study showed that Teams-Games-Tournament improved students’ achievement in speaking.
