Coronavirus or Covid-19 is viruses group of the Orthocoronavirinae member of Coronaviridae family and the order Nidovirales. This virus can cause disease not only human, but also birds and mammals. The extraordinary events caused by the corona virus become a new problem in various fields of life, including in the field of education. Every educator is required to be able to innovate, so that the learning process and physical limitations can both continue. Therefore, not long after the physical restriction instructions were applied, the online learning model or commonly referred to as e-learning began to be socialized. The purpose of writing this article is to see the effectiveness of the Guru Virtual platform as an daring learning medium. To conduct this research, researcher uses descriptive qualitative method. Qualitative descriptive method is a method that analyzes research in the form of descriptions not in the form of numbers or coefficients about the relationship between variables. The data gathered from the research is in the form of words or pictures not numbers. The data was collected by designing learning scenarios, recording, and interviewing. In addition, the calculation of student learning outcomes is also carried out to see learning outcomes using the Guru Virtual. Based on the results of interviews with students, Guru Virtual is an effective platform to be used as an daring learning platform. Based on the calculation of student learning outcomes, it was obtained an average value of 74.9 with a good category.

In the context of cultural wisdom, it is no longer seen as hereditary heritage but cultural wisdom is the strength of the creative industry based on cultural wisdom. Students of the language and literature study program who have writing and literary skills are able to study and write cultural wisdom. With the ability to study and write local wisdom allows students as; entrepreneurship, creator, humanist, writer based on the strategy of cultural wisdom values. The research focus is the study and writing of Jambi Malay cultural wisdom with a literary journalism approach. Literary journalism is a feature-oriented creative writing skill based on facts in the field. To achieve this, the study and discussion refers to the practice of improving learning; Research and development; Classroom Action Research, and Project-Based Learning. The results of research on student abilities; write the title of 'good' level, write the intro at 'good' level, the type of intro written; storytelling, descriptive, and questions, writing the atmosphere of the story as a result of observation at the 'medium' level, writing the dialogue of the results of the investigation and reporting at the 'medium' level, (5) closing the story containing the message at the 'good' level, the type of message written; view of life, sincerity, and a call to action. Overall the ability to write knowledge of Malay culture is based on the 'good' range. Based on this the suggestions put forward; feature as a creative essay, very easy to develop by students as novice writers, so that they are interested in composing the potentials of local wisdom; data features on the basis of the results of field research through the process of observation, interviews, investigations and reporting. Based on the suggestions put forward, the literary journalism approach can be developed well in learning creative writing.

This article examines the referential meaning of children's names in SMA N 1 Karanggede grade X MIPA 1. This article aims to (1) find the referential meaning of the child's name (2) explains the content of the referential meaning of the child's name (3) describes the utilization of the referential meaning of the child's name as teaching material Indonesian language learning class VIII junior high school. The data in this study are referential meanings of children's names. Sources of data came from parents and students in SMA N 1 Karanggede, especially in class X MIPA 1. Data collection techniques used interviews and questionnaires. The validity used is source triangulation. The data analysis technique uses the referential equivalent method. The results of this study are, First, the referential meaning of the child's name refers to objects (23names) and properties (13names). Second, the meaning of the name of the child based on the giver's name refers to: prayer or hope (21), time of birth (7), order of birth (2), inspiration (6). Third, the use of referential meanings of children's names in Indonesian language learning in VIII grade of SMP is related to basic competencies 4.1 Concludes the content of the news (boast and motivate what is read and heard). The material used is news text taken from the name giving of children in SMA N 1 Karanggede which motivates.

Salah satu karya sastra yang masih hidup sebagai bentuk tradisi tulis dalam struktur kebahasaan Bahasa Bali adalah geguritan. Geguritan adalah karya sastra yang dibentuk berdasarkan pupuh dan di lagukan oleh dua orang dimana satu orang yang melagukan dan satu orang yang mengartikan atau memaknai masing-masing pupuh. Geguritan Candrabherawa merupakan geguritan yang dikawi oleh I Ketut Ruma mengacu kepada lontar Purwwagama Sasana. Kajian geguritan Candrabherawa ini berpusat kepada analisis struktur teksnya yang dianggap unik dan memiliki ciri tersendiri terkait rasa estetika dan kemampuan pengarangnya, hasil analisa disimpulkan terdapat komponen yang membentuk struktur teks geguritan ini dan yang menonjol adanya perbedaan padalingsa pupuh pembentuk geguritan Candrabherawa yang terkesan keluar dari pakem yang ada namun perbedaan ini umumnya terjadi karena pengarang ingin mempertahankan alur cerita sehingga pemilihan kata dalam jumlah pada sedikit berbeda dengan struktur pada selanjutnya dalam pupuh-pupuh pembentuk teks geguritan Candrabherawa namun perbedaan tersebut tidak mengubah kesan estetika dari geguritan tersebut.

This research discussed about the relationship between language application and culture; language as a means of culture in Angkola- Mandailing community, and this research intended to know the relationship between language application and culture in Angkola Angkola- Mandailing community. This research was conducted by qualitative-descriptive method that describes the relationship between language application and culture based on Nababan's theory (Nababan, 1986). The results of this research are that the relationship between language and culture in Angkola ethnic: 1) language as a means of cultural development; for example margondang, mangayun. 2) Language as a pathway for cultural heir; for example: martahi /marpege-pege, makkobar. 3) And language as an inventory of cultural characteristics; markusip which is no longer practiced by young people in Padangsidimpuan, however, in Angkola- Mandailing community knows what that (markusip). So the relationship between language and culture is very clear in this research, because without language it is culture, and culture includes language.

This study aimed at implementing self-reflection cards (SRCs) in learning English tenses and also explaining students’ perceptions of the use of SRCs in understanding English tenses. A qualitative design was carried out to conduct the study. It focused on interpreting and understanding students’ perception on learning English tenses. The context of study was two classes who were taking English grammar and structure, in particular for the subject matter of English tenses. English tenses were explained orally in the class before students used SRCs to improve their understanding of using English tenses. Data were collected by distributing the questionnaire to the students who participated in two classes with total number of 57 students.The data were classified based on the repetitive and common forms found to assign criteria to the most important aspects related to the objectives of the study. Results indicated that the majority of students participating in the SRCs gamesagreed to all statements in the distributed questionnaire. However, only small number of students responded to their disagreement or neutrality. The majority of positive responses from students are considered as the indicator that the use of SRCs in learning English tenses was successfully implemented in class.

This research is motivated by an interest in the asihan or mantra of the Lampung Pepadun cultural community, North Lampung Regency which functions to strengthen mental and self-confidence, expel evil spirits, treat sick people, defeat the forces of nature, and subdue one's heart. The purpose of this study is to describe the function and meaning of asihan or mantra for the culture of the people of Lampung Pepadun, North Lampung Regency. The data in this study were taken from the traditional elders of Lampung Pepadun in North Lampung district. Data were collected by observation, interview, and recording methods.

Learning guitar in the Performing Arts Education Study Program (PSP) FKIP Untirta is an effort made by students to play an existing repertoire created by a composer. The repertory is studied gradually and continuously. From the beginning to the end of the repertory, students play with the techniques, dynamics, and tempo written from a repertory. This is a process that is carried out continuously by the students of PSP FKIP Untirta. The guitar learning process is certainly interesting to be used as a study. Given that there is no guitar learning in PSP FKIP Untirta that has made a scientific study material. This study used a qualitative method described descriptively to obtain data about educational values in classical guitar learning at PSP FKIP Untirta. This study will discuss the educational values that exist in classical guitar learning in PSP FKIP Untirta. The results of this study are as follows. Educational values in classical guitar learning at PSP FKIP Untirta (1) Discipline values; (2) the value of hard work; (3) the value of being used to reading; and (4) aesthetic value / taste.

A speech become a media to deliver an idea and thoughts which lead someone to show an ideology which reflected on the utterances. The aim of this research was find out the Ideology of Stephen Hawking that was reflected on his speech entitled ‘The Universe’ which uploaded on TEDTalks through the use of illocutionary act. The research method used was descriptive qualitative to get deep analysis by using note taking technique and the data was analyzed by using an approach of critical discourse analysis by Fairclough. This research utilized Speech Act by Austin (1962 and Searle (1977). The results showed that Stephen gave a lot of information from what he has known and proved about the universe then emphasized to the viewer that Big Bang is the beginning of the universe. It is supported by illocutionary act which used by Stephen Hawking, about 33,33% from the whole utterances the speaker used representative illocutionary act in act of informing.

This article is a descriptive qualitative study. The aims of this study are to identify types of satirical expression and identify the translation techniques used to translate the satirical expression found in serial television subtitle entitled ‘Bridgerton’. The utterance contains satirical expression found in 5 episodes of the serial television used as data in this research—the data obtained through content analysis. There are four types of satirical expression analyzed in this research; irony, satire, cynicism and sarcasm. Furthermore, the result suggests that there are 66 data of satire, 49 data of cynicism, 29 data of sarcasm, and 27 data of irony. On the other hand, there are 13 translation techniques applied in translating the utterance of satirical expression. The most dominant technique used is reduction (29) followed by discursive creation (23), established equivalent (23), literal translation (22), compensation (21), linguistic compression (20), transposition (14), modulation (8), linguistic amplification (4), borrowing (3), particularization (2), adaptation (1), dan substitution (1). The use of reduction technique is to shorten the subtitles that appear on the screen.
