The study of Internet mediated speech communication seems relevant due to the dynamic development of the Internet language, the lack of its codification and legal regulation, duplication of social practices and processes in the virtual environment. The present research is focused on one of the conflicting speech genres (speech acts), which is frequent within Internet communication. Speech actions in the genre of insult in some cases acquire illegal actions and are considered from the standpoint of law enforcement in the practice of forensic linguistics. The novelty of this study lies in the differentiated approach to insults as applied not only to the binary division of its interpretation within the ordinary logic and legal grounds, but also to the study of the distinctive characteristics of this phenomenon in refraction to various legal interpretations (in the criminal, civil, administrative codes). We analyzed written messages of Russian-speaking users of the social network site VKontakte, which were considered through the prism of the provisions of Article 5.61 Insult of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation. In the course of the study, it was revealed that even within a specialized dataset of messages, perceived by the recipients as insulting messages, the share of messages corresponding to the criterion basis of insult (Article 5.61) is negligible.

<p>This research is conducted based on two purposes; they are to identify the types of expressive speech act found in the statuses of the Facebook users, and to explain the modes of expressive utterance used in the statuses. Therefore, the data source is the social network that is Facebook and the data are the statuses of the Facebook users. The data are collected by using observational method, followed by non-participant observational technique and taking-note technique. The data analysis is based on pragmatic identity method proposed by Sudaryanto (2015) which is also supported by the theory of the types of expressive speech act by Ronan (2015), and theory about the modes of utterance from Alwi, et al (2000). The analysis result shows that there are fourteen types of expressive speech act in the statuses. They are the expression of agreement, disagreement, apology, gratitude, sorrow (sadness), exclamation (complaint), volition (hope), anger, disappointment, encouragement, satire, annoyance, pride, and congratulation. Meanwhile, the modes of expressive speech act that are used consist of declarative mode, interrogative mode, and exclamative mode. The importance of this research is to reveal or show that there is something else the Facebook users want to say behind their statuses. Sometimes, they do not really state what they mean in their statuses. They use indirect way and there lies the use of expressive speech act which can be stated in different way.</p>

Introduction. Social networks as a relatively new form of Internet communication are actively used to create and exchange content, disseminate socially significant information, conduct business, search for work, education, create groups of like-minded people and organize their activities. At the same time, the practice of recent years has shown that the threats of using social networks for illegal purposes have also significantly increased – for example, to disseminate false or offensive information, involve users in committing criminal acts, and organize public unrest. Theoretical analysis. The following problems of legal regulation of activities in social networks have been established: theoretical lack of elaboration of many issues; the conditionality of user behavior by the properties inherent in social networks; the presence of conflicts between the rules established by the owners of social networks and the norms of the laws of individual states; 4) the complexity of regulating the behavior of a virtual personality; the need to take into account the regulatory potential of information technology. Empirical analysis. The study examines international acts that establish the main directions of interstate and national policy in the field of regulation of social networks. The analysis of the Federal Law No. 530-FZ dated December 30, 2020, which establishes the features of the dissemination of information on social networks in particular, the obligations of the owner of the social network, aimed at preventing the dissemination of illegal information. The user agreements of the most famous social networks VKontakte, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter are investigated and their comparative analysis with legislative norms is carried out. Results. Firstly, the analysis of the user agreements of the most famous social networks shows that their owners have already developed norms prohibiting the dissemination of illegal and unethical content, including materials containing calls to commit terrorist activities or justifying terrorism, extremism, pornographic, defamatory or discriminatory. At the same time, the terminological and content definitions of such information differ. Secondly, legislative innovations will lead to greater transparency in the relationship between the owners of social networks and users. Thirdly, the adoption of a law regulating the features of the dissemination of information in social networks testifies to the fact that the Russian Federation, like other countries, is taking measures to ensure state sovereignty in the information sphere.

Active development of the Internet communication and the expansion of technical capaсities caused the transformation of existing genres and determined the emergence of new ones. The article discusses the features of the implementation of the speech genre “memoirs” in the social network Instagram. The hashtag #воспоминание was chosen as the criterion for collecting entries, since, in our opinion, users can use this hashtag to mark the genre of a post. The aim of the work is to establish how genre characteristics of memoirs are reflected in the polycode space. The study revealed that in the social network Instagram, the appeal to the past is recorded as follows: 1) the narrative as a traditional form of the genre is preserved, while the photo, an obligatory element of this sphere of communication, performs an illustrative function; 2) there is a special type of representation of the speaker’s experience using a creolized text, in which the text, image and hashtags are in a relationship of mutual complement. The emergence of a new way of presenting memoirs, in which the reported information is distributed among several semiotic systems, is explained, on the one hand, by the desire of users to save speech effort, on the other hand, by the technical features of the social network. Under the influence of these circumstances, there is a loss of language indicators of significant characteristics of the genre and its modification. In addition, the author focuses on the difficulties of perception of records defined by users as #воспоминание. Given informative insufficiency of verbal components and the absence of a common apperception base for the addressee and addressee, understanding can be achieved by decoding the image.
