Islamic reform however which be conducted at the moment, should be started through education as education is the key to open the door of modernization. Therefore, the thinkers of Islamic education, Islamic education needs to rethink both retrospective and prospective. Retrospective is about the changes of educational form in the past. While the prospective is about the changing of the educational process in the future, namely the idea and Islamic education reform programs which have the link roots to modernization thought and Islamic civilization as a whole. It has relationship and link to reformation (tajdid) that is to revive the Islamic faith. It is the basis of belief that reform movements remain a legitimate part of the original and the description of Islam at the stage of the history.

Islamic education is the component of the educational process in post secular society, because the post secularity today acquires another sense than in the last century. Post secularity as the continuation of the secular process in the modern historical, sociocultural and political processes was found as an epoch, involving the secular educational projects in the modern time. If in the past century theology education was distanced from pragmatism of the secular educational practices, finding them too utilitarian and maintenance of man in the world; today theologies, designing the religious education, enter the modern scientific secular dialogues in the standardized programs of education. Criticism of the secular education was related to the problem of crisis of the western thinking. The wellknown thinkers of the West declared about this crisis.

Conceptualization and theorization of Islamic education has been less attention to aspects of his involvement in the process of social transformation. In addition, Islamic Education also seems to have developed to the maximum language of language of critique and possibility. Literature related to Islamic education from the past until now tend to be dominated by a normative approach, with little practical in many aspects and ignore the discursive historical-empirical level. Until now, even the idea of the concept of Islamic education promoted by thinkers of contemporary Islamic education has not touched the real issues related to humanitarian issues. There is no attempt to draw normative concepts, ideal and abstract, to the empirical-sociological level. When the concept of Islamic education is faced with the problems of empirical-sociological and just wrestle on normative issues, the Islamic education could be stuck in the ideology of positivism that tend to deny the importance of criticism of social reality. Therefore, Islamic education needs to balance-normative aspects of religious and historical.

Sinceitsbirth,Islamisareligionthathasconcernedoneducation. The firstverseofAl-Qur’anfortheProphetMuhammadandtheprophetic missionofMuhammadshowthisconcern.Theconditionofignorance that dominated the Arab society in the past was tried to be changed by Islam. The Islamic education is often called tarbiyah and ta’lim al-tarbiyah which means education that includes aspects of science and morality. Therefore, Islamic education is to cultivate humans’ minds and to regulate humans’ characters and attitudes based on the Islamic teachings. Meanwhile al-ta’lim in Islamic education means teaching, which only gives knowledge to the students. According to Islamic teachings, humans have two potentials (evil and piety). The teachings of Islam acknowledge the differences of people’s talents but the differences do not mean that they cannot be formed at all. In order to achieve the goals well, education needs to be adapted with the development of thestudents. Keywords: Islam, education, tarbiyah, and ta’lim. Abstract. The article analyzes the autobiography of the famous Russian philosopher, theologian and scientist Pavel Florensky, as well as those of his texts that retain traces of memories. According to Florensky, the personal biography is based on family history and continues in children. He addresses his own biography to his children. Memories based on diary entries are designed as a memory diary, that is, as material for future memories. The past becomes actual in autobiography, turns into a kind of present. The past, from the point of view of its realization in the present, gains meaning and significance. The au-thor is active in relation to his own past, transforming it from a collection of disparate facts into a se-quence of events. A person can only see the true meaning of such events from a great distance. Therefore, the philosopher remembers not so much the circumstances of his life as the inner impressions of the en-counter with reality. The most powerful personality-forming experiences are associated with childhood. Even the moment of birth can decisively affect the character of a person and the range of his interests. The foundations of a person's worldview are laid precisely in childhood. Florensky not only writes mem-oirs about himself, but also tries to analyze the problems of time and memory. A person is immersed in time, but he is able to move into the past through memory and into the future through faith. An autobi-ography can never be written to the end because its author lives on. However, reaching the depths of life, he is able to build his path in such a way that at the end of this path he will unite with the fullness of time, with eternity.

In this retrospective piece, the Guest Editor of the first number of CounterText (a special issue titled Postcolonial Springs) looks back at the past five years from various scholarly and personal perspectives. He places particular focus on an event that took place mid-way between the 2011 uprisings across a number of Arab countries and the moment of writing: the March 2015 terror attack on the Bardo National Museum in Tunis, which killed twenty-two people and had a profound effect on Tunisian popular consciousness and that of the post-2011 Arab nations. In this context, the author argues for a renewed perspective on memoir as at once a memorial practice and a political gesture in writing, one that exceeds concerns of genre and form to encompass an ongoing project of political re-cognition following events that continue to remap the agenda for the region. The piece makes a brief final pitch for Europe's need to re-cognise, within those modes of ‘articulacy-in-difficulty’ active on its southern borders, specific answers to its own present quandaries.
