To prevent the spread of Covid-19, various universities and schools began to implement e-learning. This is the application of application-based learning. There are many universities that have organized this learning model program and have passed their students' thesis and dissertation examinations by utilizing this technological sophistication. This paper explains the nature of e-learning model, both its characteristics, strengths, weaknesses and its benefits in preventing the spread of Covid-19. Basically, e-learning has two types, namely synchronous and asynchronous. The Synchronous is learning process all at once between lecturers and students (on line at the same time). Whereas the asynchronous is not at the same time. Students can take different time from lecturers. It can be concluded that e-learning can be used to prevent the spread of covid-19, because there is no face-to-face learning when giving material. E-learning also has several advantages over conventional learning systems. However, e-learning also has shortcomings, such as the lack of interaction between students and teachers even between other students, tend to ignore the social aspects and foster individual aspects, the teaching and learning process tends towards training rather than education, and several other shortcomings.

As the Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic shuts down many school buildings around the world, many schools and universities are implementing online learning. This is a new challenge in the teaching and learning process for teachers, students and parents. At the beginning of this online learning, teachers, students, and parents had to adapt quickly, where previously face-to-face learning had to switch to online learning and this is certainly not easy to do. Students are expected to be able to direct themselves in learning, so that they can follow the learning process well. The self-regulatory learning framework developed by Zimmerman (2008) has been used consistently to support students in independent learning. There are three phases of this framework, namely: planning, conducting, and evaluating. This research method is a literature study method that examines books and journals. The conclusion of this study is that learning based on self-regulation is effective in increasing student achievement in learning, with the evaluation phase students can improve or change previous strategies that are less effective so that students can show their maximum achievements

This study aims to determine the communication accommodation strategy in the online learning process during the Covid-19 pandemic which occurred in teaching and learning activities in English at the elementary, junior high, senior high school and vocational school levels in Jakarta and also to determine the obstacles in communication accommodation strategies in the learning process. This study uses an exploratory method with Communication Accommodation Theory as a reference for data analysis used to discuss the possibility of a new phenomenon that has not been found in previous research and to examine phenomena in the context of real life. The results showed that the convergence strategy in communication accommodation in the online learning process during the Covid-19 pandemic was mostly carried out by English teachers at the SD, SMP, SMA, and SMK levels. This is to show that the teaching and learning delivery process is easier for students to understand and accept during online learning. In addition, based on the results of the interview, the researcher found that there were obstacles and impacts that were felt in the teaching and learning process taking place. During the pandemic, the teaching and learning process is carried out by implementing e- learning or online learning. One of the most common applications that are used in online learning is Google Meet. The researchers focused on EFL students’ perception by looking for significant studies using information and communication technology using Google Meet for students' English learning during the pandemic. The data used in this literature review are published articles in the form of pdf format. Thus, a total of six studies were found relevant to review. The result showed that using Google Meet in online learning during the pandemic is helpful to assist their learning process. However, students still prefer face-to-face learning because online learning tends to get boring and uninteresting. After all, most teachers are incapable of using an online application to provide an engaging, creative, and innovative learning environment. In the teaching and learning process, the roles of teachers and students will be balanced if there is good communication between them. However, learning methods from face-to-face to e-learning suddenly prompt the teachers to look for various alternatives to convey the material due to COVID-19 pandemic. The research analyzes the impact of COVID-19 on the learning process, especially Mandarin, in an elementary school. The research uses a descriptive-analytical method with questionnaires. The questionnaires are filled out by 34 students from the fifth grade in Bina Kusuma Elementary School, Jakarta. The research finds the positive impacts of elearning in the school regarding Mandarin learning. First, the subject is more interesting and easier to understand. Second, students can learn the right notes and pronunciation independently. Third, using WhatsApp and Zoom can help students recall previously learned vocabulary. Fourth, students can learn new vocabulary independently. Fifth, e-learning can motivate students to learn and gain experience from new learning methods. Sixth, students can manage their time in learning, so they become more independent. Last, students can study anywhere and anytime without time and space limits. However, the weakness of e-learning is the speed of the internet. It affects the students in obtaining the provided subject by the teachers.
