The purpose of this study reveals the role of parents in educating children to achieve achievements in their academic fields. The population of this study were students of grades IV, V, and VI in Public Elementary School No.113 / IV Telanaipura, Jambi City and the sample was 15 outstanding children along with the parents of each child and each of them took only 5 achievers who were made sample. Instrument in data knowledge used interviews with parents of children and documentation in the form of data from mid semester grades IV, V, and VI report cards in odd semester along with photos of high achieving children who got grades 1 to 5. Data analysis techniques used were qualitative descriptive analysis . The results of research conducted on parents of high-achieving students in grades IV, V, and Vi at Public Elementary School No.113 / IV Telanaipura, Jambi City, are known that the role of parents is very important for the success of children in school, namely in the process of achieving these achievements. their children develop the potential of knowledge that children have, through the role of these parents children get the attention that parents should be given to be able to educate their children better in the process of achieving achievement in school. The conclusion of this study is that the role of parents in educating their children to achieve achievements in school is in good quality it can be said that 80% of parents strongly support children by instilling discipline, becoming motivators, supporters, and facilitators for their children.

This paper aims to determine the policies implemented by the Papua National Narcotics Agency against drug trafficking. This article is a qualitative descriptive study. Data collection methods through interviews and literature study. Data analysis using descriptive analysis model. The results showed that the role of BNN Papua is very central in the eastern region and the Indonesian border. The policies that have been planned by BNN with multi-stakeholder have been implemented, but the new modes adopted by the international network vary. The drug subscription policy cannot be carried out by one institution only, it needs to be supported by other government agencies and the community. The need for a serious role for the regional and central government in both preventive efforts and subscription programs in synergy with the Papua Provincial BNN.

This research was conducted at Public Elementary School 68 Palembang with 34 teachers as respondents in the study sample. In this study there are three research variables consisting of two independent variables Principal Competence (X1) and Community Participation (X2), and one dependent variable Quality of Educational Services (Y). The extent to which the realization and role of community participation in education depends on the understanding of the community itself in education, and depends on the ability of the school. Quality education services are educational services that are in accordance with the plan and achieve the goals set and can meet the expectations and needs of customers. The results obtained in this study illustrate that the quality of educational services in Public Elementary School 68 Palembang is very good and can meet customer needs.

The current era, with fertile technology that is increasingly developing, certainly has positive and negative sides. One of the phenomena that shows the negative side of development technologies such as Youtube, Instagram, Twitter and Facebook is that many cildren use media gadgets as playmates, so that the child is not controlled is choosing content that is popular in cyberspace, as a reseult the child will further away from values religion, humanitarian values, values justice and moral values. In this article, the researcher describes the prevention of moral decadence for the younger generation, so it is necessary to increase the role of education, especially the role of parents in selecting entertaiment content that contains moral values for children. These efforts are made to prepare the next generation who have knowledge, faith and good character. The writing of this article uses qualitative research with descriptive analysis. The writer in this article uses Roland Barthes’ semiotic analysis model known as “two order of signification”, namely by looking for the denotative meaning the connotation of each scene. From using this method the researcher foumd that the animated film Nussa and Rarra, the episode of prayer must contain values from the concept of Islamic teachings, namely Akidah, Sharia and Moral. If parents are able to nurture and guide by choosing content that educated and implements in life, it is hoped that the child will become a person with character according to the expectation of the nation and religion. <p class="abstrak">Technology helps people. It makes it easier for them to find and use information. It also helps schools in educating children and this study focuses on the Anak Bangsa elementary school in Manado. Technology, and audio-visual media, help students learn, and it is the role of teachers to guide students in understanding technology and provide direction to them in using it well. It is also the role of parents to guide and direct their children in using technology and to help them avoid abusing technology. Addiction is one of the things that adversely affects the development of a child, therefore good cooperation between parents and teachers is needed to help develop children, both in school and at home, to be wise users of technology and audio-visual media. </p><p class="abstrak"><strong>ABSTRAK </strong>Teknologi membantu masyarakat sebagai kebutuhan kehidupan mereka, dimana kecanggihan teknologi memberikan kemudahan bagi masyarakat untuk memperoleh informasi serta mengembangkan diri mereka, begitupun dalam pendidikan, dalam penelitian ini ialah sekolah dasar karya anak bangsa di Manado. Adapun audio-visual dalam dunia pendidikan untuk membantu para murid dalam pembelajaran, karena itu peran guru sangat diperlukan dalam membimbing para siswa untuk mengenal teknologi dengan baik, serta memberikan arahan kepada mereka untuk bisa memanfaatkan teknologi dengan baik, begitupun peran orang tua dalam perkembangan anak sangat diperlukan untuk memberikan mereka arahan serta perhatian yang baik, karena peran orang tua memberikan nilai yang baik untuk mengindari anak dengan penyalahgunaaan teknologi. Kecanduan ialah salah satu hal yang berdampak buruk untuk perkembangan seorang anak, oleh karena itu diperlukan kerja sama antara orang tua dan guru yang baik untuk mambantu perkembangan seorang anak baik dalam dunia pendidikannya, serta kesharian nya. <p class="A04-abstrak3"><span lang="EN-US">In order to reduce poverty in the agricultural sector, the Ministry of Agriculture implements the BEKERJA program, which is  an effort to empower poor farmers in farming multi-commodities, including laying hens, vegetables, fruit and plantation crops. The objective of this study is to understand the role of the program on increasing farmers' income and reducing poverty. This research was conducted in 11 provinces covering 38 districts which were the location of the BEKERJA program in 2018 and 2019. The data used were primary data collected through in-depth  interviews of farmers participating in the program. The results of quantitative and qualitative descriptive analysis concluded that the program was quite successful in enhancing agricultural business activities among poor farmers, but it had not been able to increase farmers' income significantly. The number of poor farmers participating in the program only decreased by 1.48%. There are many challenges faced in empowering poor farmers, and therefore a strong commitment is needed to reduce poverty in the agricultural sector. To increase the effectiveness of these poverty reduction efforts, the empowerment of poor farmers in the future should be carried out as the following: (1) commodities developed are focused on the  laying hens and vegetables farming, (2) farmers empowerment and  provision of agricultural facilities should be continued  at least until the farming activities is financially profitable, (3)  technical guidance for cultivation should be strengthen, (4) beneficiaries of the program should be  prioritized to  young farmers, and (5) development a special program that is focussed for the poor farmers.</span></p>

The research objective was to determine and describe how the participation and role of the community around Lake Tondano to preserve Lake Tondano from the silting process. To get accurate data, there are several ways to collect data which are often called data collection techniques, including (1) Interview, (2) Observation, (3) Documentation study. This research uses qualitative methods with qualitative descriptive analysis, namely by collecting, managing, presenting, and describing the research results as they are. Based on the results of the research, it is known that the form of community participation in the rehabilitation of Lake Tondano includes: (a) Community participation in the South Tondano sub-district is actively planting replacement trees around the lake, making terraces in the hills around the lake, continuous socialization to the community around the lake, and The community no longer throws plastic waste into waterways, either sewers or rivers, so that the lake ecosystem is maintained. Another participation is that the local community is also obliged to provide information to the sub-district or village government if there are people who try to destroy the forest carelessly around the lake and people who deliberately dump plastic waste on a large scale into waterways in the form of ditches and rivers. Also, the local community has followed government regulations regarding the preservation of Lake Tondano; (b) Other types of participation contributed by the community in South Tondano sub-district, including; a) participation of ideas or ideas, b) participation of personnel, c) participation of assets, d) participation of skills and skills and e) social participation. Forms of community participation in the environmental conservation of Lake Tondano are in the form of; a) active participation, b) passive participation.

This endeed of  research is to describe the place of the kolintang music ensemble to accompany the singin of the flag ceremony at SMP Sw. St. Paulus Sidikalang. This research is a qualitative descriptive research. The subject of this research is flag ceremony. The research focussed on the role of Kolintang music ensemble as song chanting. The data of the final research was obtained from the observations of the flag-raising activities, interview with teachers, student adan kolintang’s players in junior high school and take a documentation. Data were analyzed with qualitative descriptive analysis techniques. Data validity is obtained through data triangulation, observer triangulation, theory triangulation and method triangulation. The purpose of this research is to know and descriebing  kolintang music. Example, in this research is by using numbered data such as document, archieves, interview results, observation result or also by interviewing more thn one subject that is consideret to have a different point of view.The result showed that : (1) In accompaniying singing at the flag-ceremony, students used the basic notes G, C and F. (2) the tecnic to performed kolintang    were not wheeled with a kolintang played general. (3). After carrying out their duties as chanting accompaniment in the ceremony, students who performed kolintang first practice on kolintang extracurricular activities. (4) in the process of playing kolintang, each player must have a strong feeling so that the technic kolintang is harmonious. Keywords : Descriptive Study, Ensemble, Kolintang music

This study is a longitudinal look at the different mathematics placement profiles of Black students and White students from late elementary school through 8th grade. Results revealed that Black students had reduced odds of being placed in algebra by the time they entered 8th grade even after controlling for performance in mathematics. An important implication of this study is that placement recommendations must be monitored to ensure that high-achieving students are placed appropriately, regardless of racial background.
