This Research aimed at identifying student misconception on Redox Reaction lesson at the tenth grade of State Vocational High School 5 Pekanbaru. It was Descriptive. Purposive sampling technique was used, and the sample were the tenth grade students of class TAV 2. Multiple choice with reasoning diagnostic test with CRI (Certainty of Response Index) column was the instrument used. Based on the research findings, it showed that there was a student misconception on Redox Reaction lesson. Sub concept was the highest misconception. The concept development of Redox Reaction lesson was 22.23%, sub concept of oxidation number was 19.05%, and sub concept of reducing and oxidation agents was 12.7%. Misconception happened because of the learning method that was teacher center, the lack of textbook reference, and the low of student learning interest. Based on the data analysis, it revealed that CRI was effective to be used to identify student misconception.   Keywords: Misconception, Multiple Choice Test Reasoned Open, CRI (Certainty of Response Index), Redox Reaction Concept

This research aimed to describe the student misconceptions and find out the cause of misconceptions on Redox Reaction lesson at the tenth grade of Senior High School 9 Bengkulu in 2018/2019 Academic Year. Research conduct on April 15th until May 24th, 2019. The design of this research is descriptive method. The samples were taken through simple random sampling technique are 67 students of tenth grade MIPA SMA N 9 Kota Bengkulu so that 30 students were sampled. Essay test by Certainty of Response Index (CRI) and interview were used as the instruments of this research. Based on the analysis of research data shows there are misconceptions students. The analysis results show that misconceptions occurred at all sub concept on redox concept so the percentage of misconceptions that occur amounted to 35,7% in the overall student. The results showed the highest percentage of misconceptions in the amount of 46% at sub concept to determine reduction oxidation based on oxidation number on molecules and ion. The lowest percentage of misconceptions in the amount of 23% at indicator to in the sub concept of understanding oxidation and reduction in a redox reaction in terms of changes in oxidation number. Based on the results of interviews, causes of student misconception are derived from internal and external factors. Internal factors are derived from students such as students' associative thinking, student apperception and wrong intuition, students' abilities are lacking, low of students' motivation and learning interests during the learning process, students' learning methods, and students' selfconfidence in CRI values and external factors such as methods learning and limited learning resources.

This research aims to determine and analyze the inflection of vocabulary mastery on students’ vocational high school in Bogor. The population observed in this study was eleventh grade students of vocational schools in Bogor. In the academic year 2019/2020.The respondents in this study were students at one of the vocational schools in Bogor. This research method uses a qualitative descriptive method, the population in this study were students of class XI Sirajul Falah Vocational School in Bogor totaling 336 students. The sampling technique in this study uses a probability sampling technique. From this population 20% of the population was taken so that the total sample was 68 students. The instrument of this research is multiple choice test. Researchers ask students to answer multiple choice test on vocabulary instrument. Indicators used to determine vocabulary mastery, namely: 1) determining words that have collected meanings / synonyms, and 2) determining words that have contradictory meanings / antonyms. 3) determining words related to the spelling 4) determining the words related to grammar. This research was carried out using tests given directly to the subjects studied in the vocabulary mastery aspect given 20 questions in the form of multiple choice. Based on the data analysis, there are 68 respondents who were given 20 multiple choice questions with 4 indicators, namely the correct answer indicator and the rest are the number of respondents' wrong answers. Based on the data analysis shows that there are 84% of questions related to true and the remaining 16% of questions cannot be answered correctly by students. So it can be concluded that there is inflection vocabulary mastery on vocabulary test. Kata kunci:  Vocabulary Mastery; Multiple Choice Test

The aim of this study is to analyze misconception of student in class XI SMA Negeri 1 Banawa Tengah on the buffer material. The type of this research is a description where the subject of research is 41 student. The instrument used was a multiple choice test with reasoned (CRI). It consists of 13 items which was accompanied by questionnaries. The results were obtained information that the students have misconceptions on subconcepts calculate pH buffer solution and way of working buffer solution, with amount of 37 students (46%). students at least experienced a misunderstanding on the component subconcepts buffer solution and way of working buffer solution with amount 17 student (21%). Furthermore, causes of student misconception is due to the lack of interest of student in the buffer solution material (22%), praconception and less understanding of the concept (80%), textbook of student (34%), and model of learning (57%). The result of this study shows that most of students in class XI SMA Negeri Banawa Tengah have misconception on the buffer material.

This research aims to find out the impact of video dubbing on improving students’ speaking pronunciation. This research was applied for the tenth grade and eleventh grade of Vocational High School in Madiun city, province of East Java, Indonesia. The subject of the research consisted of 20 students, 14 female students and 6 male students. In collecting the data, researcher used observation to observe the implementation of video dubbing during teaching learning process and used test to find the improvement of students’ speaking pronunciation during the implementation of video dubbing. The research was conducted in two cycles, where each cycle consisted of 4 meetings. The research findings showed that the implementation of video dubbing could improve students’ speaking pronunciation. It can be concluded that the implementation of video dubbing in learning process has beneficial effect on students’ speaking skill, especially in pronunciation.

This research aims to describe MIPA teachers’ ability to design knowledge assessment through the analysis of achievement aspects of knowledge assessment. This research used a descriptive method with SMP MIPA teachers in Pontianak City who have taught for more than 5 years and have an undergraduate degree as the population. The samples in this research, selected using a purposive sampling technique, consisted of 12 teachers who submitted MIPA test items. The research instrument used the data of the test item document designed by the teachers in the form of a multiple-choice test. The data were analyzed descriptively which included data reduction, systematic data display, and conclusion. The results showed that of the 12 test instruments made by with 380 questions in total, the teachers’ ability to design knowledge assessment (Multiple Choice Questions) obtained 17.37% of knowledge aspect, 67.90% of understanding aspect, 8.68% of implementation aspect, and 6.05% of analysis aspect. There were no questions made related to evaluation and creation aspects. Keywords: teachers ability, designing knowledge assessment.

This study aims to determine the influence of contextual physics teaching materials in an effort to improve the mastery of student concepts. This research is a type of research development (reseach and development). The population is all students of class XI IPA SMA Negeri 2 Mataram 2016/2017 school year amounted to 365 students. The sample was determined by purposive sampling technique so that it was obtained by class XI IPA 2 (38 students) as experimental class and class XI IPA 3 (40 students) as control class. The instrument used to measure conceptual mastery is a multiple-choice test. The results showed that the use of contextual teaching materials influential in improving the mastery of the concept of students.

The ability to speak in English is one of the requisite skills for vocational high school students majoring in hospitality training. However, most tenth-grade students manifested insufficient skills in speaking English, which resulted in low confidence in speaking. To cope with the challenge, the researchers implemented modified role-play and guided writing to stimulate students in speaking English in classroom action research. The procedure of the research consisted of planning, acting, observing and reflecting. The researchers employed observation, questionnaire, documentation and field notes in collecting the data. The research findings presented that the students’ motivation to practice their speaking had increased significantly. Thus, the researchers conclude that role-play and guided writing can be used as a communicative activity where students can simultaneously practise and improve their proficiency in communicating. The researchers also propose suggestion to fellow English teachers to effectively manage the time as well as engaging media to create an enjoyable atmosphere in the teaching-learning process through role-play and guided writing.

The multiple-choice test is a common test format used in education. One of the purposes of this test is to evaluate the success of the learning process in a particular subject. Therefore, the efficiency of the evaluation depends on the quality of the test items used. This research was conducted in order to reveal the quality of the final mathematics examination items statistically. It was descriptive quantitative research employing two-parameter logistic (2pl) model of Item Response Theory (IRT). The data were obtained from the sample of 353 students established using the purposive sampling technique. This finding shows that 40% of the 35 items tested are very difficult, 60% are in the medium level, and there is no easy item. The most difficult material is the trigonometric calculation. The percentage of the item discrimination index is described as follows: 8.57% of the items are categorized as very low, 51.43% are categorized as low, 31.43% of the items have a medium item discrimination index value, 5.71% have a high item discrimination index value, and 2.86% of the items are categorized as very high. Moreover, the research found that all distractors functioned well. The highest information on ability θ = 0.4 with information function value of 5.38 and SEM = 0.6. This test is suitable for students with the ability of -1.42 <θ <2.65.

AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hasil karya poster ditinjau dari warna, tipografi dan komposisi siswa kelas X SMK Multimedia deli tua. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas X SMK Multimedia Istiqlal Deli Tua yang terdiri dari 4 kelas dengan jumlah siswa 140 orang. Sampel dalam penelitian ini diambil dengan teknik cluster random sampling (acak kelas), maka diperoleh sampel berjumlah 5 orang. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi dan dokumentasi. Data yang terkumpul dianalisis dengan teknik deskriptif kualitiatif dan diwujudkan dalam bentuk tabel. Hasil temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hasil karya poster ditinjau dari warna, tipografi, dan komposisi baik. Dari kategori di atas, dapat disimpulkan bahwa hasil kemampuan siswa dalam membuat karya poster tergolong baik.Kata Kunci: analisis, warna, tipografi.AbstractThis study aims to determine the results of the poster's work in terms of color, typography and composition of all students' class X vocational high school multimedia deli tua. The results of the research findings indicate that the poster works in terms of color, typography, and composition was good. This research was instigated by the low of student learning achievement, student learning interest, and the use of internet based instructional media at the school.  It was based on the results of preliminary observation that was conducted in the Chemistry learning process.  The use of Quipper School instructional media aimed at increasing student learning interest in order to increase student learning achievement.  This research aimed at knowing whether there was an effect of learning using Quipper School media toward student learning achievement and interest on Electrolyte and Non-Electrolyte Solution lesson.  It was an experimental research.  All the tenth-grade students of Senior High School of Muhammadiyah 1 Pekanbaru, there were 6 classes and 166 students.  Purposive sampling technique was used in this research.  In this case, the tenth-grade students of Natural Science 3 were selected as the samples based on the observation in the field and Chemistry subject teacher consideration at the school.  There were two instruments, student learning interest questionnaire and learning achievement test question.  Techniques of processing and analyzing the data were descriptive and inferential statistics.  The results of hypothesis testing in this research showed that there was an effect of using quipper school media toward student learning achievement and interest, tobserved ≥ ttable (2.064>9.820) and there was an effect of using Quipper School media toward student learning achievement. The score was tobserved≥ttable (2.064>9.820),   So, H0 was rejected and Ha was accepted.  Based on the research findings, it could be concluded that  there was an effect of learning using Quipper School media  toward student learning achievement and interest on Electrolyte and Non-Electrolyte Solution lesson.Keywords:     Learning Achievement, Learning Interest,  Quipper School, Electrolyte and Non-Electrolyte Solution
