In this paper we present models based on a statistical modelling approach that explain the effects of selected variables on employment in Slovakia in the years 2005 and 2009. The probability of becoming employed (employability/ odds ratio) was based on individual data from the harmonized EU SILC statistical survey with some socio-economic factors. For quantification of the mentioned variables? impact on the dependent variable (employment) logistic regression was applied. The results confirmed a positive effect of work experience and the highest level of education attained on employability. Conversely, in some cases age showed a negative effect on the dependent variable, and to some extent gender also had a significant effect. In terms of region, a lower chance of becoming employed was found for inhabitants in Eastern Slovakia when compared to other regions.

The objective of this research is to identify various demographic and socio-economic factors which play a role in shaping the expressive behaviour of an individual, based upon their self-perception. The research methodology comprises of a close-ended questionnaire, which records not only the demographic and socioeconomic details but also, objectively quantifies the qualitative aspects of expressiveness in an individual. Results of 220 respondents were analyzed using SPSS. Thereafter, a predictive model of expressiveness was created using Regression Analysis. Considering a significance level of 10%, major findings indicate that factors like the education level, openness to the opposite gender, number of friends, family income, occupation of the mother, highest level of education attained by the father, and expression in front of a stranger are significant. Research implications suggest that schools and Institutes should design curriculums which encourage students to participate in team-building and other leadership activities in order to boost their expressiveness.

This research is a type of quantitative descriptive research and data sources include primary and secondary data. The sampling method is convenience sampling, the number of samples taken is 99 respondents, the data analysis technique in this research is using multiple linear regression. Based on the results of the analysis, it can be seen that the level of education has a negative and significant effect on the length of work seeking. While age has a positive effect and income level has a negative effect on the speed of obtaining one's work, but both do not significantly influence the 95% level of confidence.  While the ability of the old variable to find work is explained by the variables of education level, age and income of 99.37%..

Abstract The lakes of Buryatia have been studied to varying degrees and described in numerous scientific works by well-known limnologists, geographers and biologists of Russia. The formation of lakes, their composition and the organisms that inhabit them have been investigated. However, very few and sporadic studies have investigated the use of lakes for economic purposes. The article analyses the activities of fisheries, the use of Buryatia’s widespread minerals such as sapropels and peat, and also assesses tourism as an economic activity with a high positive effect for the Republic of Buryatia as a whole.
