Abstract The lakes of Buryatia have been studied to varying degrees and described in numerous scientific works by well-known limnologists, geographers and biologists of Russia. The formation of lakes, their composition and the organisms that inhabit them have been investigated. However, very few and sporadic studies have investigated the use of lakes for economic purposes. The article analyses the activities of fisheries, the use of Buryatia’s widespread minerals such as sapropels and peat, and also assesses tourism as an economic activity with a high positive effect for the Republic of Buryatia as a whole.

The urgency of the problem stated in the article is due to the fact that the widespread digitalization of the economy leads to the fact that crimes such as theft and fraud are committed using computer tools and systems. According to statistics from Kazakhstan, as a result of fraud using computer technology, damage in the amount of more than 28 billion tenge was caused, of which individuals - 24.7 billion tenge, legal entities - 1.8 billion tenge and the state - more than 1 billion tenge. In this regard, the study touched upon issues of ensuring information security and countering cyber threats. The purpose of the article is to develop effective measures to prevent the commission of fraud with the use of information technology, since theft begins from cyber attacks on information systems. In this study, methods such as comparative legal analysis and expert evaluation were used. Amendments are proposed to the criminal legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan regarding the jurisdiction of crimes, on the addition of qualifying signs, and on the need to adopt a new Law on real estate activity in the Republic of Kazakhstan. Amendments to the criminal law will have a positive effect on the ‘unloading’ of investigators of the internal affairs bodies, since the number of ordinary crimes related to their competence significantly exceeds the number of crimes in the sphere of economic activity. The adoption of a new law on real estate activity in the Republic of Kazakhstan will avoid the facts of re-registration of apartments for criminal purposes, the commission of fraud by realtors.

As a result of the increased level of uncertainty and variability of the socio-economic environment, the influence of various social pathologies (for example, the COVID-19 pandemic, etc.) has grown, that have significant negative consequences for the functioning of society. Modeling the most important factors and trends in social development will help to resist the impact of modern negative changes. From the analysis of the socio-economic development of the Republic of Uzbekistan, it is obvious that there exists the effect of all those factors and trends in social development that are positive and are primarily associated with STP (including the digitalization of society), as well as the effect of negative factors associated with various social pathologies. The strategy of development of the Uzbek economy is aimed at strengthening the former and limiting the latter.

The health of the population is closely linked to the social gradient: improving the quality of health is associated with improving the socio-economic situation of the country. The level and quality of life is one of the fundamental indicators of the country’s economic development. The Republic of Bashkortostan is a leading agrarian and industrial region and makes a significant contribution to the development of the country. There are no studies on a comprehensive assessment of socio-economic factors in the Republic of Bashkortostan. To carry out the study, the following data were used: total morbidity and number of children, materials of the Federal Information Fund for Social and Hygienic Monitoring data for a block of socio-economic indicators for 2014–2018 The relationship of socioeconomic indicators and the incidence of the child population was carried out using correlation and regression analysis. General analysis of the socio-economic situation of the Republic of Bashkortostan for the period 2014–2018. indicates a stable economic situation and positive dynamics indicators. The results of the influence of priority socio-economic factors on the health of the child population living in urban and rural settlements are obtained. For children living in cities of the Republic of Bashkortostan, the leading socio-economic indicators affecting the overall incidence were 7 indicators: educational expenses; percentage of apartments that do not have running water; the proportion of living space equipped with central heating; monthly average nominal accrued wages of workers in the economy; investment in fixed assets per capita; number of doctors of all specialties; the number of doctors in outpatient medical institutions. The incidence of children living in rural areas was revealed by the influence of 2 indicators: the average monthly nominal accrued wages of workers in the economy and investment in fixed assets per capita. The countryside of the region is lagging behind in most indicators compared to cities. The results of the study must be used to improve the regional development strategy, as well as minimize the impact of these indicators on the health of both children and the population as a whole.

A range of socio-economic factors affects the motivation of a company’s labor force. Many of these represent independent subsystems of the company’s overarching approach. They involve various economic and social indicators, but not all are implemented or included in personnel management. Without a dedicated system in place, it is almost impossible to create labor motivation within an enterprise. This research examines personnel services within several oil and gas companies in the Republic of Kazakhstan. These somewhat overlook the socio-economic factors of the region, while developing labor motivation in the framework of the Company Strategy. The paper shows that companies need personnel services to carry out labor relations. This is valuable for equal economic relations between employees and employers, an effective labor market, and the wider management of social problems affecting productivity.

In this paper we present models based on a statistical modelling approach that explain the effects of selected variables on employment in Slovakia in the years 2005 and 2009. The probability of becoming employed (employability/ odds ratio) was based on individual data from the harmonized EU SILC statistical survey with some socio-economic factors. For quantification of the mentioned variables? impact on the dependent variable (employment) logistic regression was applied. The results confirmed a positive effect of work experience and the highest level of education attained on employability. Conversely, in some cases age showed a negative effect on the dependent variable, and to some extent gender also had a significant effect. In terms of region, a lower chance of becoming employed was found for inhabitants in Eastern Slovakia when compared to other regions.

In the context of the increased level of uncertainty and variability of the organizational and economic environment, the importance and influence of various kinds of pathologies of a social nature (for example, the COVID-19 pandemic, various color revolutions, etc.), which have significant negative consequences for the functioning of society and its most important structures, has increased. The use of the latest achievements of STP, such as comprehensive digitalization and modeling of the most important factors and trends in social development, can counteract the impact of modern negative challenges. The article analyzes and models some of the most important parameters of the functioning of the Uzbek economy, the results of which can be used in the development of a strategy for action in priority areas of development of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Thus, as a result of the conducted research, it became obvious that the factors of social development and the socio-economic trends that arise as a result of their action can be divided into two large groups: the first should include factors and trends of a negative nature associated with the action of various social pathologies; the second group, on the contrary, can include positive factors and trends, primarily related to the progressive influence of STP, including such an important modern direction as the all-round digitalization of society.

Relevance. Life expectancy is a comprehensive indicator reflecting the quality of life in a country or region, which is why it is important to estimate the impact of various socio-economic factors on this indicator as accurately as possible. Our study makes a novel contribution to the existing research by conducting a correlation and regression analysis of factors affecting life expectancy in regions of Kazakhstan based on panel data. Research objective. This paper aims to present a modified methodology for estimation of factors affecting life expectancy in regions of Kazakhstan. Data and methods. Our research relies on panel data on regions and cities of Kazakhstan. The data are provided by the Ministry of National Economy and the Ministry of Health Care of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Methodologically, the research is based on regression and correlation analysis. The two main criteria were applied for data selection: availability of statistical data for a sufficiently long period and the potential impact of factors on life expectancy. We built a two-factor power regression model calculated with the help of software package Microsoft Excel. Results. In our research, regression models were used to formulate conclusions concerning the impact of certain socio-economic factors on life expectancy in regions of Kazakhstan. We also brought to light the factors whose relationship to life expectancy requires further investigation. Conclusions. It was found that the most significant factors affecting life expectancy in regions of Kazakhstan are economic ones. The proposed methodology can be used for short- and medium-term predictions of life expectancy.
