In the era of progressive technological and social development, housing environment should respond to actual demands of modern society, with the idea of flexibility and adaptability as the key parameters of sustainable living. Application of the flexible elements in the interior provides a variety of spatial interpretations of the residential unit that can be determined by an architect or by users, depending on the applied design concept. The degree of achieved spatial flexibility will depend on the degree of independence of moveable elements within the unchanging structure of the apartment. Appropriate selection and analysis of the certain number of projects and realizations in the field of flexible housing, points to the diversity of motives of flexible elements application and considers the impact of applied design approach on the interpretation of residential environment. Different social, political and economic circumstances in which the individual examples emerged are also taken into consideration.

The evolutionary status of attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is central to assessments of whether modern society has created it, either physically or socially; and is potentially useful in understanding its neurobiological basis and treatment. The high prevalence of ADHD (5–10%) and its association with the seven-repeat allele of DRD4, which is positively selected in evolution, raise the possibility that ADHD increases the reproductive fitness of the individual, and/or the group. However, previous suggestions of evolutionary roles for ADHD have not accounted for its confinement to a substantial minority. Because one of the key features of ADHD is its diversity, and many benefits of population diversity are well recognized (as in immunity), we study the impact of groups' behavioural diversity on their fitness. Diversity occurs along many dimensions, and for simplicity we choose unpredictability (or variability), excess of which is a well-established characteristic of ADHD. Simulations of the Changing Food group task show that unpredictable behaviour by a minority optimizes results for the group. Characteristics of such group exploration tasks are risk-taking, in which costs are borne mainly by the individual; and information-sharing, in which benefits accrue to the entire group. Hence, this work is closely linked to previous studies of evolved altruism. We conclude that even individually impairing combinations of genes, such as ADHD, can carry specific benefits for society, which can be selected for at that level, rather than being merely genetic coincidences with effects confined to the individual. The social benefits conferred by diversity occur both inside and outside the ‘normal’ range, and these may be distinct. This view has the additional merit of offering explanations for the prevalence, sex and age distribution, severity distribution and heterogeneity of ADHD.

The process of education and formation of the individual at the present stage of development of society must be considered in the totality of all social processes that are inextricably linked in their mutual existence. The unwillingness or inability of the subjects of social relations to see in the individual the absolute goal of any social interaction activates the initial contradiction between freedom and necessity, which manifests itself externally in a conflict between individuals in a social conflict. It is overcome by a commitment to moral duty and respect for social norms. The secret of orientation to this kind of relationship is quite simple: the modern educational process is a phenomenon of social culture, which can be represented as a process of cultural education or a process of personal inculturation. In modern society, a positive stereotype of school life was formed: the teacher corresponded to the image of the most respected person – for his knowledge, wisdom, kindness and other personal qualities. This was facilitated both by society as a whole (first of all, by state propaganda, in which the teacher was given a dominant role), and by specific teaching staff. People had a clear idea of the purpose of their life and how to achieve it. Moreover, these methods were not reflected by the negative of their achievement on others. The paper analyzes the influence of mass media, cinema, pop music on the state of upbringing of the younger generation, reveals the consequences of the impact of modern media resources on the formation of behavior and self-consciousness of the younger generation in the modern world.

When in the 1960s religious congregations were suffering from diminishing membership, the sociology of religion turned away from the study of organized religion in order to study private religiosity, even though new social forms of religion were emerging. The article addresses first the impact of globalization on the place of religious communities in the fabric of national and transnational society. Labor migration severs the individual from his or her transmitted loyalties and places him or her amid the risks of the labor market. Parallel to this, the nation state conveys public tasks into private hands in the realms of education, health care, social welfare, and sometimes security. Both changes open up new opportunities for religious communities. Second, the paper addresses the subjective side of the shift, focusing on the Abrahamic religions. They claim the promise given to Abraham—that he and his descendants will be blessed and become a great nation—for their communities. When the factual history contradicts that expectation, prophetic and apocalyptic visions of a bright future keep alive that faith. They summon the believers to fight for the well being of their community, to assist and support each other, and to claim public recognition for their community, since it is beneficial to the entire society. The article argues that this model of religious communality enabled believers in the past to appropriate official legal and social forms for their community. Max Weber in his Economy and Society also argued that religious communality remains a powerful social order in modern society. According to him its strength derives from the subjective religious expectations of social actors and the positive or negative impact their practices exercise on other social orders such as economy, family, state, and law.

The article is devoted to the problems of formation of interethnic tolerance in young people under the influence of socio-psychological factors of modern society. Modern scientific approaches to the study of tolerance as a socio-psychological phenomenon are considered. Interethnic tolerance as a factor of conflict-free existence in society is a necessary and sufficient condition for the formation of social unity, mature social consciousness, the principles of nonviolent solution of social problems and a balanced approach to creating social reality. Tolerance at the individual level is the ability to perceive without aggression thoughts that differ from their own, as well as – the behavior and lifestyle of others. Tolerance of other people's way of life, behavior, customs, feelings, ideas, beliefs is a condition for the stability and unity of societies, especially those that are not homogeneous in religious, ethnic or other social dimensions. The existence of such a phenomenon as ethnic stereotype is fully explained by the desire of human consciousness to facilitate understanding of society, to simplify the perception of knowledge about social reality. In order to determine the impact of ethnic stereotypes on the culture of interethnic interaction in modern multinational society, it is necessary to first formulate their role in society. Ethnic stereotypes are primarily cultural formations that are natural and exist as long as there are peoples and ethnic communities. First of all, it should be noted that ethnic stereotype as a regulatory element of ethnic identity performs three important functions: cognitive, communicative and the function of protecting a positive ethnic identity. A significant contribution to the formation of ethnic tolerance in Ukrainian society belongs to civil society institutions. It is the institutionalization of democratic citizenship that is manifested in the active conscious participation of activists of public organizations in identifying ethnic stereotypes and promoting ethnic tolerance. Since tolerance is based on acceptance, respect and fair understanding of the diversity of ethnic groups and peoples, forms of expression and manifestations of individuality and uniqueness of each person, this should be facilitated by knowledge, communication, lack of censorship, freedom of belief and conscience.

The purpose of the article is to characterize computer games as a component of culture and a subject of cultural research. The methodology involves distraction from the technological aspects of the genesis and implementation of computer games and is determined mainly by the humanitarian guidelines for the phenomenon under study. Thus, the methodological principles are based on the cultural research concept of computer games as a value of modern culture. The scientific novelty is that for the first time in Ukrainian cultural research the need to study computer games as a component of culture is actualized. Conclusions. The article highlights the need for cultural research of computer games as a full and equal component of culture. Attention is paid to the scale of the computer games spread, their importance for culture and the individual, as well as the impact on various spheres of human life. Conclusions. It is emphasized that the issue of the creation and functioning of computer games in modern society is an inexhaustible source for further research, including in cultural research. Computer games are a wide “field” for the application of the latest IT developments, philosophical ideas, and artistic innovations. Therefore, this issue will remain in the focus of research not only for cultural scientists but also for philosophers, educators and psychologists, sociologists, economists, and jurists, given the pace and scale of the information spread and communication technologies, and most importantly their complexity.

In response to the challenges posed today, the economy and the dynamic changes in different areas of life, modern education needs to be based on "unlocking" the individual learning resources, on the formation of creative and constructive thinking that are the basis of the innovation process.Today's labor market is characterized by dynamism, instability, competition and development, and through education, adolescents must acquire skills such as competence, flexibility, adaptability, entrepreneurship, independence to be able to meet the ever-increasing demands of employers and professions in future. This explains the massive penetration of learning content at all levels, knowledge of business, economics, and informatics, which are a mandatory element of their overall preparation. The outlined high requirements imply maximum expansion of educational services, system flexibility, expanding creative activities. Entrepreneurship and initiative are defined by the European Union as one of the eight key competences. However, there is a close link between uncertainty and initiative, attitudes to accepting or rejecting innovation and the entrepreneurial spirit. Societies that have encoded such a stressfulness are, in general, less innovative and motivated and less open. Looking for predictability, clarity in events and situations. That is why the support of the trainees in this direction is more important than ever. Entrepreneurial skills and competencies can only be gained through practical and life experiences. In this respect, the educational tasks relate to: analysis of innovative and entrepreneurial thinking and activities of adolescents; to identify the reasons preventing the formation of entrepreneurial competences and skills in pedagogical interaction; incorporating entrepreneurial activities and practices into kindergarten and elementary school; creating new models and prototypes for use in learning, research, creative, information and innovation practices with learners; analysis of the impact of such models on the development of children and the process of their socialization; participation in the formation of a modern, research and creative community based on digital technologies and the digital society. Changes in entrepreneurship education programs at all institutional levels are being made. The positions of Junior Achievement are a fact. The new vision that the Ministry of Education and Science imposes by law, the introduction of the subject, "Technology and Entrepreneurship", is a good start in the training in this direction, which gives its first results. The ultimate goal is to develop humanitarian and conceptual skills, positive values in each child, and to form an entrepreneurial culture that can be incorporated as part of the overall culture of the individual. To address such challenges, the scientific potential of society has to continually seek new knowledge, approaches and solutions to find out how to effectively and positively change and renew effectively the educational system with achievements in modern society.

The author made a theoretical analysis of the impact of communication and expression of emotions in social networks on the individual. The conditions of origin, distribution and use of social networks in the formation of a new social environment for the implementation of social ties are considered. The properties of social networks and their impact on modern society are analyzed. In recent decades, attention to emotions has grown again among scientists from various disciplines: psychology, psychiatry, neurobiology, cognitive sciences, computer science, sociology, economics and many others. It is noted that social networks have helped us become closer to our friends, even at a long distance. The urgency of the topic is due to the urgent need to study the features of social networks as a type of social structures formed as a result of the development of electronic social communications.

Insufficient knowledge about the impact of parental education on the development strategies of justice of children and adolescents in destabilizing the social conditions of modern society determines the relevance of the author's work. The study involved 64 subjects (39 women and 25 men) aged 24 to 48 years, with minor children, including 30 subjects with a harmonious style of parenting and 34 - with disharmonious style. We used a questionnaire "Analysis of family relationships" (E.G. Eidemiller, V.V. Yustitskis), a technique of studying legal awareness of J. Tapp and F. Levine, as well as specially designed questionnaires, aimed at studying the cognitive (knowledge of parents about legal socialization) and behavioral (conversations on topics of law, reinforcement and punishment of right and wrong actions, monitoring of performance, personal example) components of legal socialization. We obtained new empirical evidence on the relation between the features of legal socialization of children and parent-child relationship, clarified the role of the individual types of parental attitudes in the formation of the legal socialization of children, revealed the factors of parental attitudes that hinder and facilitate the process of legal socialization of children.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the impact of rumors on both individuals and the society at large in Saudi Arabia. Over the past several decades, the Internet has dramatically changed the manner in which modern society communicates. In particular, online media have altered how rumors are transmitted, from hearing those rumors - ranging from word of mouth among people to misleading online messages. Although the manner in which rumors are circulated has evolved over time, only a few studies have been conducted on the dynamics of how rumor spreads on the social media in Saudi Arabia. It is worthwhile to discuss the impact of rumors on individuals and the society in Saudi Arabia and determine the factors affecting the impact of rumors in Saudi Arabia. In this research study, two variables have been discussed, i.e. dependent and independent variables: the impact of rumors on both individuals and the society at Saudi Arabia, which shows dependency upon independent variables such as Uncertainty, Belief, Motivational Factors and Self-Enhancement. Quantitative research method has been used for this study that entails a total of 200 used survey questionnaires to collect vital information regarding the topic of investigation.

For many years, Human-Computer Interaction and interaction design researchers have been exploring the potential for interactive technologies to encourage sustainable living practices. This paper examines existing literature concerning domestic energy feedback, interlacing past examples of domestic interventions into the discussion. It synthesises recent design research conducted around domestic energy-use and provides a discussion into household circumstances, everyday activities, and the use and role of design. The themes presented are threefold. First, the individual is contrasted to the household collective and in turn calls for the scope and scale of design interventions to be geared towards connection between household members. The second theme questions the everyday, and proposes new avenues of thought when designing for the mundanity of everyday life. Finally, I propose that a design approach which counteracts an affirmative design approach, such as critical design, is an appropriate fit when critiquing and evaluating the mundane, everyday aspects of domestic life.
