The authors present the results of many years research on the study of the growth regulators “ХЭФ ВР” and Stabilan BP influence on the yield and quality of winter wheat of new varieties – Alekseich and Adel, selected by the National Center of Grain named after P. P. Lukyanenko in the steppe zone of the Mozdok region, Republic of North Ossetia – Alania. The aim of our research was to improve the tech nology of winter wheat cultivation using the new generation plant growth regulators “ХЭФК”, which stimulates the growth and volume of the root system, strengthens the stem by reducing the length of internodes and increasing the diameter of the stem, prevents lodging of crops, and has a positive effect on yield and quality. Stabilan slows down the growth of stem cells in length, which leads to a decrease in plant height and thickening of the spike, providing an increase in yield and grain quality. To achieve this goal, the research tasks included studying the effect of plant growth regulators on the growth processes of winter wheat at the initial stages of ontogenesis, on the yield and quality indicators of winter wheat grains of the Alekseich and Adel varieties in the steppe zone of the Mozdok region of the Republic of North Ossetia – Alania. Our studies have shown that growth regulators had a positive effect on the processing of seed material and sowing of winter wheat varieties Alekseich and Adel. The grain yield is increasing; the increase in relation to control was up to – 1.36 t/ha. The growth regulators “ХЭФК” and Stabilan were studied; they had a positive effect on the quality indicators of winter wheat grain, on the protein content, and the weight of 1000 grains. The highest yield was obtained on the variant with the use of the growth regulator “ХЭФК” – 4.63 t/ha.

The growth of Ta Xanh coconut fruit is divided into four stages: slow growth, rapid growth, mature and ripening. In the mature and ripening stages, lipid accumulation increased at the strongest level in the endosperm. This study was conducted with the purpose of studying the effects of plant growth regulators on the growth and lipid accumulation in copra (solid endosperm) from the mature to ripening stage in Ta Xanh coconut fruit. Fresh weight, dry weight and lipid content in solid endosperm after treatments with 1 mg/L NAA, 10 mg/L BA and 20 mg/L GA3 individually or in combination with ethrel were determined. Results showed that the treatment of 20 mg/L GA3 on the 8-month-old fruits increased the copra fresh weight and dry weight. Treatments of 1 mg/L NAA, 20 mg/l GA3 or 200-250 mg/L ethrel on the 10-month-old fruits increased the ratio of lipid in the copra of each fruit. Treatment of 200 mg/L ethrel had a positive effect on increasing of the fresh weight, dry weight and lipid concent in the solid endosperm of the 10-month-old Ta Xanh coconut after 1 or 2 weeks of combinated treatment of 1 mg/L NAA, 10 mg/L BA and 20 mg/L GA3.

We investigated the effect on tangerine of new generation plant growth regulators. The use of drugs in the period of fruit ripening has led to increased 2.0 – 3.7 times abscisic acid (AA) and 1.9 – 4.7% of Indole-acetic acid (IAA) acid in the leaves. Studies have shown that Indole-acetic acid and abscisic acid beginning of a sharp accumulation of their hormones coincides with action of stress factors and growth dormancy period. The use of the regulators had an impact not only on their content in leaves but also on fruit quality. For example, treatment Indole-acetic acid and Obstaktin led to an increase in the fruit of vitamin C. After treatments with plant growth regulators has been a significant decline in the total number of organic acids (up to 2.35% at the option of Melaphen and to 2.50% at Obstaktin, LSD (p ≤0.05) = 0.06). By reducing the content in the fruits of organic acids to all variants increased the sugar-acid index. After each spraying tangerine on the treatment options plant growth regulators has been a significant increase the dry matter. Thus, the positive effect of plant growth regulators on all the quality characteristics of tangerine was shown. In the summer period, the treatment by regulators may have a protective effect, increases the content in plants the content of Indole-acetic acid. The plant growth regulators of new generation have a positive effect on quality of dwarf tangerine. Given that the plants of tangerine in the subtropical zone of Russia each summer have to drought and are losing not only in yield, fruit quality too, new regulators may exert a protective effect, because increases the content in plants is Indole-acetic acid, which activates gene expression of drought resistance.

ABSTRACTAny improvement in agricultural systems that results higher production aimed to reduce negative environmental impacts and enhance sustainability plant growth regulators (PGRs) such as gibberellin have similar physiological and biological effects to those of plant hormones, and therefore used widely in agriculture to minimize unwanted shoot growth without lowering plant productivity. An experimental field was conducted at Giza Experimental Station Egypt, on sugar beet plants (Beta vulgaris L. var. Sara poly) with some plant growth regulators (gibberellin and proline) foliar application at three rates of zero (control), 100 and 200 mg l−1 and boron sources (Boric acid and B-NPs) with 75% of macro-nutrients from full dose. The main target of this study to evaluate another plant growth regulator source like proline which is safer than gibberellin for maximizing sugar beet biological parameters to reduce the gap between sugar consumption and production in presence of boron sources.Data showed that the foliar applications of gibberellin (GA3) at rate 100 mg l−1 and proline at 200 mg l−1 were found to be the more effective without significant differences for plant growth, productivity and quality may be due to increased N use efficiency, especially at sub-optimal macro nutrient fertilizers. Regard to boron sources, B-NPs had positive effect on all biological parameters under study due to sugar transport, cell membrane synthesis, nitrogen fixation, respiration, carbohydrate metabolisms, root growth, functional characteristics and development.

Plant growth regulators (PGRs) were involved in several types of abiotic stress responses by means of improving seed germination and modifying the growth and development of medicinally important Lepidium sativum via alleviating the negative effects of abiotic stresses. Therefore, the present research was carried out to investigate the effects of exogenous application of PGRson seed germination, protein content and ?-galactosidase activity of L. sativum. Germination of L. sativum seeds was monitored for a short interval after the start of incubation until growth became 100%. While cytokinin treatment showed a positive effect on seed germination more than Gibberellic acid (GA), salicylic acid (SA) produced a higher negative effect than auxins. Quantifying changes in total protein content during seed germination as influenced by PGRs revealed that all PGRs have to exert a positive effect arranged in the following order: SA ? auxin ? cytokinin ? GA. Parallel to changes in germination percentage and total protein content of seed, a negative effect was attainedon ?-galactosidase specific activity in response to PGRs with the following arrangement: SA ? auxin ? cytokinin ? GA.In conclusion, the present study proposed the potential importance of the type and magnitude of exogenously applied PGRs during the germination of easily or even more difficult-to-germinate seeds.
