Введение. Номинации сторон света являются важными элементами категории пространства национальной языковой картины мира. Лингвисты давно изучают локативные лексические единицы, рассматривая их этимологию, семантику, прагматику и идиоматику, метафорические трансформации и лингвокультурологическую специфику в диахронном и синхронном аспектах. Однако номинации сторон света редко оказываются в фокусе внимания. Цель – изучение и описание лингвокультурологической специфики лексем восток, запад, север, юг в китайском и русском языках. Материал и методы. Комплексная методика исследования обусловлена его лингвокультурологическим характером и предполагает использование методов наблюдения, лексикографического, контекстуального и сравнительно-сопоставительного анализа эмпирического материала, включающего данные отечественных и китайских лексикографических и литературных источников. Результаты и обсуждение. В лингвокультурологическом аспекте рассмотрены семантика, прагматика, идиоматика и особенности метафоризации номинаций сторон света. Установлено, что номинации направления имеют в русском и китайском языках как универсальные архетипические, так и вариативные этнокультурные особенности. Сопоставительный анализ этимологии и сочетаемости данных единиц показал, что они образуют пятикомпонентную смысловую структуру, включающую, помимо номинаций восток, запад, юг, север, номинацию центр как точку отсчета для говорящего. Номинации сторон света в обоих языках представлены в парадигме других значимых и оценочно противопоставленных оппозиций (например, свет – тьма) и занимают важное место в топонимике. Установлено, что сложные слова, указывающие на промежуточные направления в китайском языке, начинаются с номинаций восток и запад (например, 东北 востоко-север), в русском – с номинаций юг и север (например, северо-запад). Данные лексемы в прямом и переносном значении входят в состав китайских идиом и часто метафоризируются в национальной литературе. В русской идиоматике они представлены единично, в литературе метафоризируются редко. Заключение. Для китайского языкового сознания, по сравнению с русским, символика сторон света значительно более актуальна. Представления о сторонах света в китайской мифологии, литературе и культуре в целом занимают центральное положение. В китайском языке они связаны с представлениями о гендерной и социальной структуре общества, влияют на формы этикета, содержание церемоний, на национальную топонимику, фразеологический фонд и др. В русском языке они обладают меньшим оценочным и коннотативным потенциалом, редко метафоризируются в фольклоре и идиоматике, в литературе и разговорной речи используются как географические ориентиры в системе пространственных координат или указатели направления движения. Introduction. Nominations of the sides of the world are important elements of the category of space in the national language picture of the world. Linguists have long studied locative lexical units, examining their etymology, semantics, pragmatics and idiomatics, metaphorical transformations and linguocultural specificity in diachronic and synchronic aspects. However, the nominations of the sides of the world are rarely in the focus of attention. The aim of this article is to study and describe linguocultural specificity of the lexemes east, west, north, south in Chinese and Russian. Material and methods. The research was carried out due to its linguocultural character. It is based on the methods of observation, lexicographical, contextual and comparative analysis of the material, including Russian and Chinese lexicographical and literary resources. Results and discussion. Semantics, pragmatics, idiomatics and peculiarities of direction nominations metaphorization were studied in the linguocultural aspect. It was found out that in Russian and Chinese languages direction nominations have both universal archetypical and variable ethno-cultural features. A comparative analysis of the etymology and combinability of these units showed that they form a five-component semantic structure, including in addition to nominations of the east, west, south, north the nomination of the center as a point of reference for the speaker. Nominations of the sides of the world in both languages are represented in the paradigm of other meaningful and evaluatively opposed oppositions (for example, light - darkness) and occupy an important place in toponymy. It was found that complex words indicating intermediate directions in Chinese begin with the nominations east and west (for example, 东北 east-north), in Russian - with the nominations south and north (for example, north-west). These lexemes in direct and figurative meanings are part of the Chinese idioms and are often metaphorized in the national literature. In Russian idiomatics, they are present sporadically, and in literature they are not often metaphorized. Conclusion. Compared to the Russian language consciousness, the symbolism of the sides of the world is much more topical for the Chinese language consciousness. In Chinese mythology, literature and culture as a whole, the concept of the sides of the world is central. In the Chinese language they are connected with ideas about the gender and social structure of society, influence the forms of etiquette, the content of ceremonies, the national toponymy, the phraseological fund, etc. In Russian they have less evaluative and connotative potential, they are rarely metaphorized in folklore and idiomatics, in literature and in spoken language they are used as geographical landmarks in the system of spatial coordinates or directional markers.

The article is devoted to the analysis of parametric adjectives of the evaluation of the human figure in the Russian language through the prism of the Chinese language. The author reveals the ethnospecific features of Russian parametric adjectives, the presence of which causes certain difficulties for native speakers of the Chinese language picture of the world. The comparative analysis of these lexical units in the two languages reveals the national-cultural features of the perception of the human image and the features of the fragments of the national linguistic picture of the world in intercultural communication.

This article discusses the methodological system of studying paremias in Russian language lessons. Linguistic and cultural analysis of paremia allows us to identify the existing value-significant representations of an ethnic group based on accumulated information of a cultural and historical nature, first of all, about a person in the aggregate of certain properties, qualities, activities, and his attitude to the world. Paremias are aphorisms of folk origin, characterized by conciseness of form, reproducibility of meaning and having, as a rule, an edifying meaning. Paremia is a unique object for the study of language and culture, the purpose of which is to study cultural layers in the structure of the meaning of language units. Paremia is capable not only of expressing a conclusion, but also of forming generalized ideas about the laws of life. Since paremias are part of the national language picture of the world, and therefore part of the national language mentality, in this case, in our opinion, it is also possible to talk about the existence of a proverbial mentality, that is, the mentality of the nation, reflected in the paremiological Fund. When studying the discipline “Russian language”, students have the opportunity to master the skills of linguistic and cultural analysis of language units, get acquainted with different types of exercises and tasks, prepare to apply the acquired skills and implement the skills in regular, extracurricular and extracurricular activities.

The role of the bestiary of the Russian language in the national language picture of the world as a constantly expanding layer of vocabulary is shown. The bestiary is represented by three groups-basic paradigms (complete, incomplete, and unfilled). In complete paradigms, suppletive formations are of particular interest. For this group it is marked a tendency to a leveling of the paradigm by creating a motivated neoderivatives. In incomplete paradigms, represented by two varieties, there are also active processes of expansion due to differentiation by gender or designation of the cub.

Object of the present research is the Russian chronograph, an extensive chronicle in which the history of the Slavs is described as part of the world. The information about the Bulgarians occupies an important place. The data about the Bulgarian history in the 9th – 11th c. is taken from Slavic translations of Byzantine chronicles and from some Russian historical works, most notably from the Bulgarian additions to the Manasses Chronicle. This article seeks to answer the question of how productive the Chronograph is as a historical source. Unpublished editions and copies of the Chronograph were also used for the purposes of the research. The method of comparative analysis shows that although some of the information is found in earlier Russian historical texts, different points of view are presented in the Russian chronograph. The chronograph contains rich information about Bulgarian history, part of which remains out of scientific interest. It is valuable for science and can be productively used as a source for Bulgarian medieval history.

The article compares Russian and Spanish language world pictures in order to understand the deep national origins transmitted through the national culture and language, forming a worldview and influencing communication process with representatives of other nations and ethnoses. National language pictures of the world are a set of ideas about the world, the worldview basis of any nation, since language expresses not only reality, but also cultural archetypes that concentrate the mentality of the nation, which affects virtually all aspects of society and individual life. An attempt has been made to analyze the national language world pictures of Spain and Russia through the study of linguistic and cultural differences and similarities in order to comprehend existing cultural boundaries that are treated more broadly than purely linguistic ones. Intercultural and linguocultural features that emphasize the characteristics of the Spanish and Russian language world pictures are also analyzed, in consequence of which it was revealed that in addition to notable differences in the level of the lexico-grammatical and semantic structures of the language, a certain similarity can be traced between the Spanish and Russian linguocultures, mainly at the level of the most significant value bases. All this allows, first, to substantiate the high probability of forming a common field of argumentation, which constructs the prospect of a positive dialogue between these cultures; second, to suggest the possibility of optimizing the process of intercultural interaction through the strengthening of mutual understanding; thirdly, to show the real significance of linguocultural research from an applied point of view. As a result of the analysis, we came to the conclusion that the continuing cultural and linguistic diversity allows us to maintain the historical balance in the world, which is the basis for the development of mankind, the core of the vitality and identity of peoples and ethnic groups, and the understanding of the originality of national world pictures may in the future become an indispensable condition for preservation of the civilized world and a pledge of sustainable, harmonious development.

Введение. Моделирование языковой личности осуществляется на основе анализа разных типов текстов. Исследование языковой личности в эмотивно-оценочном дискурсе наиболее полно раскрывает эмоциональную и ценностную картину мира говорящего и его коммуникативные стратегии в эмоциональной и оценочной интерпретации действительности. Представлен анализ образа Сталина в ценностной картине мира М. Плисецкой, репрезентированной в ее мемуарном дискурсе. Цель – выявить эмотивно-оценочную лексику в экспрессивном дискурсе языковой личности и определить основные стратегии в предъявлении негативной оценки Сталина, реконструировать языковую картину мира М. Плисецкой. Материал и методы. Языковым материалом исследования послужила книга воспоминаний балерины Майи Плисецкой «Я, Майя Плисецкая», а также лексикографические источники разных типов, на фоне которых рассматривался эмотивно-оценочный словарь языковой личности: Словарь русского языка (Малый академический словарь) и Толковый словарь русского языка под редакцией Д. Н. Ушакова. Использовались общенаучные методы (наблюдения, обобщения, сопоставления, описательный метод), а также компонентный, дефиниционный, дискурсивный анализ и количественные подсчеты. Результаты и обсуждение. И. В. Сталин занимает важное место в системе персонажей книги М. Плисецкой. Сопоставление данных социологических опросов показывает, что имидж Сталина в сознании россиян улучшился за последние 15–20 лет. Статистический анализ позволил раскрыть отношение Плисецкой к Сталину: имя вождя употребляется только в связке с отрицательной эмотивной лексикой, которая усиливается за счет яркой образности выбранных лексических единиц. Эмотивно-оценочная лексика несет высокую степень экспрессивности, именно в ней находят отражение система ценностей и особенности мировоззрения языковой личности автора. Основания оценки Сталина сложны и многообразны: результаты политической деятельности, психическое состояние, морально-нравственные качества и внешность вождя. Выявлена эмотивно-оценочная лексика в тексте языковой личности, проведен сопоставительный анализ словарных толкований с контекстной семантикой автора. Заключение. В процессе описания Сталина часто употребляются бранные, просторечные слова, выражающие презрение, ненависть, возмущение и негодование, образ Сталина в картине мира М. Плисецкой оценивается крайне отрицательно. Вождь народов определяется как параноик, убийца, тиран и преступник. Если говорить о стратегиях выражения эмоций и оценок, то негативная информация вводится по-разному: кроме прямых оценочных речевых актов используются косвенные высказывания – явление энантиосемии, когда умышленно актуализируется диссонанс между положительной словарной коннотацией лексемы и отрицательным контекстом. Используются также разные фигуры речи: живые, образные метафоры, олицетворения, сарказм и ирония для выражения ненависти и презрения к Сталину. Introduction. The linguistic personality is embodied in different linguistic materials, its modeling is based on the analysis of various kinds of texts. The study of linguistic personality in the emotive-evaluative discourse reveals the emotional and value picture of the speaker’s world and his communicative strategies in the emotional and evaluative interpretation of reality. This article presents an analysis of the image of Stalin in the value world picture of M. Plisetskaya, represented in the emotional and evaluative discourse of her memoir. The aim of the work is revealing emotive-evaluative vocabulary in the emotive-evaluative discourse of our linguistic personality and determining the main strategies in presenting negative assessments of Stalin, and reconstructing M. Plisetskaya’s linguistic picture of the world. Material and methods. The linguistic material of this research is the memoir of ballerina Maya Plisetskaya «I, Maya Plisetskaya», as well as other lexicographic sources: Dictionary of Russian language (Small Academic Dictionary, MAS), Explanatory Dictionary of Russian Language, edited by D. N. Ushakov. Methods and techniques used in the work: quantitative analysis of emotive-evaluative vocabulary, contextual, definitional and discourse analyses and the method of cognitive modeling. Results and discussion. I. V. Stalin takes an important place in the character system of M. Plisetskaya’s book. Social Survey shows that the image of Stalin in the minds of Russians has improved over the past 15–20 years, in contrast to this, M. Plisetskaya in her book assesses Stalin purely negatively, the name of the leader is used only in the context of negative emotive vocabulary. Emotive-evaluative vocabulary carries a high degree of expressiveness, reflects the system of values and particularity of the worldview of the linguistic personality. Stalin was evaluated in different ways: political activity, mental state, moral and ethical qualities and appearance. Having identified emotiveevaluative vocabulary in the linguistic personality’s text, we took a comparative analysis with the contextual semantics. During our work, we found that the evaluation of Stalin in most of the cases is realized with the help of negative emotive vocabulary, the vivid expression of which forms the picture of the world of M. Plisetskaya. Conclusion. In the process of describing Stalin, abusive, vernacular words with a strong expressive coloring are often used, expressing contempt, hatred and indignation. The image of Stalin in M. Plisetskaya’s world picture is assessed extremely negatively, the leader is defined as a paranoid, murderer, tyrant and criminal. If we talk about strategies for expressing emotions and evaluations, then negative information is introduced in different ways: direct evaluative speech acts, indirect statements – the phenomenon of evaluative enantiosemia, when the dissonance between the positive dictionary connotation of the lexeme and the negative context of the text is deliberately actualized. Various figures of speech are also used: lively, figurative metaphors, personifications, sarcasm and irony to express hatred and contempt to Stalin.

The article analyzes different aspects of the "soft power" of Russia. The author affirms that in this field the country doesn't have well defined strategies policy. To Russia has the excellent potential for the promotion of its positive image. This potential is primarily due to the famous Russian science, literature, music and art. But this "natural"potential has to be used in the national interests abroad. In recent years the Russian government has made some important steps in cultural diplomacy, in particular for the promotion of Russian language and supporting Russian Diaspora. However, much more has to be done not only in these directions, but also in propaganda and counterpropaganda to meet information pressure against Russia. In this connection, to form properly all directions of the policy of "soft power", is desirable to use the experience of other countries. The states who pretend to have an important place in the world, consider "soft power" as a strategic policy aiming to strengthen their geopolitical positions. In this context the author offers some suggestions concerning different organizational aspects. Special attention is given to the coordination of the activities of all structures involved in the policy of "soft power ".

We consider the problem of language and concept in the framework of cognitive linguistics. The purpose of the work is to identify the mental differences in the conceptualization of the concept BEAR in the linguistic consciousness of the Russian and Chinese people. We present an approach according to which dictionary definitions are considered as a language representative of a concept called a dictionary word. The dictionary is considered as a collection of our knowledge about the world, which was formed as a result of its conceptualization and categorization. We compare different aspects of the lexeme BEAR in the “Dictionary of the Russian Language” (MAS) edited by A.P. Evgenyeva and the “Xinhua Zidian” edited by the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences: interpretation of the word, its illustrative materials, including phraseological units. In the study of a foreign language, reliance on dictionary definitions allows us to use lexicographic representation of concepts as one of the active and initial methods for understanding and perceiving national mentality.

В данной статье проведен этнолингвистический анализ 53 наименований ягодных растений в якутском языке с целью определения их способов образования. Языковой материал был взят из различных лексикографических источников, в том числе ботанических словарей. Эмпирической базой исследования послужили также полевые и экспедиционные наблюдения, диалектные записи и материалы, собранные авторами с 2017 г. в различных районах Республики Саха (Якутия). С целью определения лексического значения корней анализируемых наименований приведены семантические описания лексем из «Большого толкового словаря якутского языка», «Словаря якутского языка» Э. К. Пекарского. Для выявления способов образования фитонимов использованы методы словообразовательного анализа: поиск производящей основы, выделение словообразовательного форманта, установление принципов словообразования. Также применены элементы семантического и морфологического анализа наименований, рассмотрены синтаксические конструкции сложных слов (словосочетаний). Непроизводным лексическим единицам даны этимологические характеристики, в некоторых случаях приведены параллели из других языков. Заимствованные названия ягодных растений проанализированы с точки зрения фонетических изменений, такой же принцип анализа использован относительно диалектных единиц, перешедших в литературную норму. Кроме того, некоторые якутские основы и рефлексы в других родственных языках сравнены в фоноструктурном аспекте. Путем описательного метода даны биологические характеристики растений, также приведены объяснения географическим особенностям мест произрастания исследуемых ягодных растений. Установлено, что основным способом номинации фитонимов, обозначающих наименования ягодных растений в якутском языке, является номинация по признаку, в основе которой лежит ряд мотивационных характеристик. Удалось выяснить, что данный принцип основывается на ассоциативной метафоризации, которая раскрывает отношение якутов к живой природе и отражает особенность мировоззрения народа саха. Наличие заимствований из русского языка объясняется общей территорией проживания якутов и русских. Фитонимы монгольского и тунгусо-маньчжурского происхождения свидетельствует о тесных языковых контактах якутов с монгольскими племенами и тунгусо-маньчжурскими народами, в частности эвенками. In this article, an ethnolinguistic analysis of 53 names of berry plants in the Yakut language was carried out to determine their methods of formation. Language material was taken by their various lexicographic sources, including botanical dictionaries. The empirical basis of the study was also field and expeditionary observations, dialect records and materials collected by the authors since 2017 in various regions of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). To determine the lexical value of the roots of the analyzed names, semantic descriptions of lexemes are given from the «Great Thick Dictionary of the Yakut Language» and the «Dictionary of the Yakut Language» by E. K. Pekarskiy. Methods of word-formation analysis are used to identify methods of phytonym formation: search of producing base, extraction of word-formation formant, the establishment of word formation principles. Elements of semantic and morphological analysis of nominations are also used, syntax constructions of complex words (phrases) are considered. Non-derivative lexical units are given etymological characteristics, in some cases, parallels from other languages are given. Borrowed names of berry plants are analyzed in terms of phonetic changes, the same principle of analysis is used relative to dialect units that have converted to the literary norm. Besides, some Yakut bases and reflexes in other related languages are compared in the phonostructural aspect. Biological characteristics of plants are given through descriptive method, as well as explanations of geographical peculiarities of places of growth of studied berry plants are given. It has been established that the main method of nomination of phytonyms, which denote names of berry plants in the Yakut language, his nomination based on several motivational characteristics. It was possible to find out that this principle is based on associative metaphorization, which reveals the attitude of Yakuts to wildlife and reflects the characteristics of the world view of the Sakha people. The availability of borrowing from the Russian language is explained by the general territory of residence of Yakuts and Russians. Phytonyms of Mongolian and Tunguso-Manchurian origins indicate close linguistic contacts of Yakuts with Mongolian tribes and Tunguso-Manchurian peoples, particularly Evens.
