This study aims to determine the effect of training and work environment on the performance of the heads of public elementary schools in sub-district Banjarsari of Surakarta city with motivation as an intervening variable. Methods of collecting data with questionnaires on a sample of 30 elementary school. Path analysis results conclude that: 1. The direct effect of training on performance of is greater than the indirect effect of training on performance with motivation mediation, meaning that motivation cannot function as an intervening variable. 2. The indirect effect of the work environment on motivation mediation performance is greater than the correlation between the work environment with motivation, motivation correlation with a performance, meaning that motivation cannot function as an intervening variable. 3. The total effect of training on performance is greater than the total effect of the work environment on performance. Test results concluded that to improve performance is most effective through increasing training without going through intervening variables.

This chapter examines new directions in theory and practice of measuring schools' success. Relevant literature is synthesized to provide a holistic picture of current knowledge of the topic, highlighting meanings, principles and consequences. The chapter discusses the nature of success in schools. The major aim of the research is to analyze the most popular approaches towards measuring the success of schools, including effectiveness, efficiency, performance, and accountability. This chapter suggests measuring the success in public elementary school, based on extended set of measures and indicators. The expanded set of measurements could increase the validity of inferences about schools' effectiveness as well as efficiency and offer relevant information to principals and teachers about how to improve the school's performance.

This study determines the level of acceptability of the respondents on the inclusion of sex education in basic education of public elementary schools of the Department of Education, Bayombong I, Division of Nueva Vizcaya. The data were analyzed using both descriptive and inferential statistics. The analysis employed frequency counts and percentages. Pearson r and t-test, results showed that the teachers and parents had accepted and showed approval to the inclusion of sex education in Basic Education. Younger teachers tend to have higher level of acceptance to sex education than the older teachers in the service. The issue on inclusion of sex education in the basic education between parents across ages was acceptable. There was a perceived difference among the parent and teacher respondents as to the inclusion of sex education to Basic Education. The purpose of this study are to examine and analyze the influence of Leadership, Work Environment, Competence And Organizational Culture To Job Satisfaction That Impact Lecturer Performance At Polytechnic ATMI Surakarta.This study is a survey research. The data used are primary data by sampling of lecturer at Polytechnic ATMI Surakarta as many as 57 respondents. The data analysis method was tested by validity, reliability test, t-test, F, coefficient of determination (R2) and path analysis test.T test results as follows: leadership not significant effect on job satisfaction, work environment significant effect on job satisfaction, competence significant effect on job satisfaction, organizational culture not significant effect on job satisfaction, leadership not significant effect on performance, the working environment have a significant effect on performance, competence significantly influence the performance, organizational culture not significant effect on the performance, satisfaction significant effect on the performance of work. F test results showed simultaneous variables of leadership, work environment, competence, organizational culture and job satisfaction have a significant effect on the performance of lecturers. Results Analysis The coefficient of determination (R2) shows that 77.7% of faculty performance variation can be explained by the leadership, work environment, competence, organizational culture and job satisfaction while the remaining 22.3% is explained by other factors outside the model. The result of path analysis showed a direct influence on the performance of greater competence than the indirect effect on performance competence through job satisfaction. The direct effect on the performance of the work environment is greater than the indirect effect on the performance of the work environment through job satisfaction. The direct effect on the performance leadership is smaller than the indirect effect of leadership on performance through job satisfaction. The direct effect on the performance organizational culture is smaller than the indirect effect of organizational culture on performance through job satisfaction. Based on the results of total leverage to improve performance would be more effective if through increased competence.

The purpose of this study was to study the effects of leadership knowledge, work environment, work motivation to the performance of principals of Public Elementary Schools in Rokan Hilir Regency of Riau Province. This research uses the quantitative approach with survey method with causal approach and path analysis technique. This study analyzes the influence of one variable on other variables. The variables studied consist of two kinds, namely exogenous variables and endogenous variables. Exogenous variables have an influence on endogenous variables. While endogenous variables can also affect other endogenous variables. The affordable population which is simultaneously the sampling frame is the entire principals who served in Public Elementary Schools at Rokan Hilir Regency as many as 265 schools. The results of this study indicate that: (1) There is a positive direct effect of leadership knowledge on performance, (2) There is a positive direct effect work environment on performance, (3) There is a positive direct effect of work motivation on performance, (4) There is a positive direct effect of leadership knowledge on work motivation, (5) There is a positive direct effect of work environment on work motivation. Thus, the improvement of teachers’ performance can be achieved well if there is a strong effect from the leadership knowledge, work environment, and work motivation that are well built.  Keywords:   leadership knowledge, work environment, work motivation, and performance

This descriptive research is intended to make a mapping of the availability and utilization of information systems and leadership of school principals in Public Elementary School in Pekanbaru - Riau. The formulation of problems to be answered are: (1) How is the availability and utilization of information systems in public elementary schools in Pekanbaru - Riau? and (2) How is the leadership of the school principals in the public elementary school in Pekanbaru - Riau? There are 12 districts in Pekanbaru - Riau and each district has a different number of public elementary schools. Through a proportional random sampling technique, 66 school principals were selected as samples. The instrument used was a questionnaire addressed to the principals. The principals are asked to give their response to the questionnaire given and they are free to choose one or more answers for each item according to their situation and condition. The data obtained were then analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis. The results of the data analysis showed that: (1) the information system available at school was rated positively by the principals, whether in terms of availability, management, or perceived benefits; and (2) in carrying out their leadership, their roles and functions as supervisors, managers and educators occupy the highest position.

The present research investigated depression in children with and without mothers. Differences in depression scores were tested by gender, socio-economic level, the cause of not having a mother, and the age of separation. The sample included 300 fourth and fifth grade elementary school children. Among them, there were 150 children (68 boys and 82 girls) who were living with their mothers and 150 (68 boys and 82 girls) who did not live with their mothers. Each group had an equal number of students ( n = 50) representing three different socio-economic levels (i.e., low, middle, high). Students in the sample came from 39 different public elementary schools. Children's ages varied between 10 and 12 years ( M = 10.8, SD = .6). Teachers, administrators, and school counselors were asked to identify children without mothers. The children who were living with their mothers were randomly chosen. Results showed significant differences in depression between the two groups of children. Furthermore, there was a significant difference by socio-economic level. Depression of children without mothers is significantly associated with the cause of not having a mother and the age when the child was separated from the mother.

Performance appraisal is the process of evaluating how well employees do their work when compared to a set of standards, and then communicating with employees. Therefore, performance appraisal must be guided by the agreed upon standards in work standards. school supervisors are identical to the supervision of education which has a special meaning which is to help and participate in efforts to improve and improve the quality of both personal or institutional. This study focused on the performance of supervisors in the aspects of implementing the academic system of teachers in public elementary schools throughout North Bengkulu. The method used is quantitative descriptive. The results of the supervisor's performance research in the aspects of implementing the academic system of teachers are in quite good category. Suggestions for supervisors should carry out all the main tasks of supervision properly including: preparing a program, implementing, evaluating the results of implementation, and reporting the results of evaluation of program implementation.

This study aims to find out how the application of personal hygiene for street food traders in Padang Primary Schools can be seen from cleanliness; head, hair, face, nose, ears, mouth, teeth, hands, fingers, skin, and work clothes. This research was conducted in October 2019 at State Elementary School the in Padang. The type of research in this paper is a review using descriptive methods. This research was conducted by distributing questioner. The results of this study indicate that (1) Snack traders in State Elementary School 22 still do not pay attention to the cleanliness of the head and hair. (2) Face and nose hygiene of hawker merchants at 22 Andalas Padang Elementary School, Padang City is still not hygienic (3) Ear cleaning of street hawker vendors at 22 Andalas City Padang, still dirty (4) Oral and dental hygiene of hawker traders in Public Elementary Schools the 22 City of Padang is still dirty (5) Hand and Finger Cleanliness of snacks traders in State Elementary Schools the 22 City of Padang is still dirty (6) Skin hygiene of street vendors in State Elementary Schools the 22 City of Padang is still dirty (7) Cleanliness of work clothes of traders snacks in State Elementary School 22 Andalas Padang City is still lacking.

The study is a descriptive analysis of the ‘Affection Levels of Educational Facilities on the Instructional Function of Teachers’. The respondents of the study were the public elementary school teachers in Basilan Schools Division, Autonomous Region for Muslim Mindanao (ARMM). The study covered 9 central, and 9 noncentral public elementary schools. A stratified random sampling was adopted in this study. A two - part survey questionnaire was used. One part of the instrument drew information about the demographic profile of the public elementary school teachers. Part two of the questionnaire determined the affection and adequacy levels of the educational facilities in Public Elementary Schools, as perceived by the public elementary schools teachers, in terms of physical features, indoor environment, equipment and utilities, media and technology, and safety and security features. The findings revealed that, the educational facilities in public elementary schools in the Basilan, moderately affect the instructional function of the teachers. The Equipment and Utilities elements affect the instructional function of teachers to the greatest extent.
