This descriptive research is intended to make a mapping of the availability and utilization of information systems and leadership of school principals in Public Elementary School in Pekanbaru - Riau. The formulation of problems to be answered are: (1) How is the availability and utilization of information systems in public elementary schools in Pekanbaru - Riau? and (2) How is the leadership of the school principals in the public elementary school in Pekanbaru - Riau? There are 12 districts in Pekanbaru - Riau and each district has a different number of public elementary schools. Through a proportional random sampling technique, 66 school principals were selected as samples. The instrument used was a questionnaire addressed to the principals. The principals are asked to give their response to the questionnaire given and they are free to choose one or more answers for each item according to their situation and condition. The data obtained were then analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis. The results of the data analysis showed that: (1) the information system available at school was rated positively by the principals, whether in terms of availability, management, or perceived benefits; and (2) in carrying out their leadership, their roles and functions as supervisors, managers and educators occupy the highest position.

The study is a descriptive analysis of the ‘Affection Levels of Educational Facilities on the Instructional Function of Teachers’. The respondents of the study were the public elementary school teachers in Basilan Schools Division, Autonomous Region for Muslim Mindanao (ARMM). The study covered 9 central, and 9 noncentral public elementary schools. A stratified random sampling was adopted in this study. A two - part survey questionnaire was used. One part of the instrument drew information about the demographic profile of the public elementary school teachers. Part two of the questionnaire determined the affection and adequacy levels of the educational facilities in Public Elementary Schools, as perceived by the public elementary schools teachers, in terms of physical features, indoor environment, equipment and utilities, media and technology, and safety and security features. The findings revealed that, the educational facilities in public elementary schools in the Basilan, moderately affect the instructional function of the teachers. The Equipment and Utilities elements affect the instructional function of teachers to the greatest extent. This study aimed at evaluating the performance of headmaster Public Elementary School in Air Kumbang based on workload in accordance with government regulations. The evaluation model used in this study is the CIPP Model (Context, Input, Process, Product). The data analysis technique used was qualitative approach. The techniques of collecting data were interviews, observation and documentation. The results obtained indicate that 1) context evaluation stated that the Headmaster Public Elementary School in Air Kumbang could focus more on his managerial duties as headmaster after the issuance of PP No. 19 of 2017, and it considered responsible for the needs of elementary schools in Air Kumbang; 2) the input evaluation stated that the performance of the Headmaster Public Elementary School in the Air Kumbang was good even though most of the Public Elementary Schools in the Air Kumbang still did not have adequate resources; 3) process evaluation stated that the Headmaster Public Elementary School in Air Kumbang can properly implement PP Number 19 of 2017; 4) product evaluation stated that there are performance results of the Headmaster Public Elementary School in Air Kumbang, were the increase in accreditation of several Public Elementary Schools in Air Kumbang. Thus it can be concluded that the performance of the Headmaster Public Elementary School in Air Kumbang has increased after the issuance of PP No. 19 of 2017.

The background research is often the occurrence of errors and discrepancies in determining capital letters and punctuation in class V students of SD Negeri 161 Pekanbaru. In fact, in the second semester III class has been taught about the rules of using capital letters and punctuation. Errors and discrepancies in students' writing on the rules of using capital letters and punctuation are used by students in each of their writings. The purpose of this study was to find out and describe the ability of class V students in determining capital letters and punctuation in Pekanbaru Pekanbaru Public Elementary School. This research was conducted in the odd semester of the 2016/2017 academic year, namely on 11-28 October 2017. The type of research in this study was quantitative descriptive. Descriptive research is research that explains and explains an event, situation, event and object that occurs at the present time obtained through collecting data using research instruments and then analyzing and producing quantitative data. Sampling in this study using a sampling technique that is total sampling. The sample in this study was all class V in 161 Pekanbaru Public Elementary School, which amounted to 84 students. The instruments of data collection used are in the form of reading texts in the form of essays that are still misspellings and punctuation marks. The results showed that the students' ability to determine capital letters and punctuation marks in 161 Pekanbaru Public Elementary Schools as a whole indicators belong to a sufficient category with an average value of 59.44. If seen per indicator, there are 2 indicators belonging to the very good category, 3 indicators belonging to the good category, 4 indicators belonging to sufficient categories, and 1 indicator belonging to the less category, namely a comma punctuation after the adverb at the beginning of the sentence.

Snacks at the Public Elementary School Canteen has a huge potential in the nutrition of schoolchildren, as it also has a level of vulnerability that can cause diarrhea if not to be improved maximally .The purpose of this study was to determine the factors associated with the incidence of E. coli contamination in snacks in the canteen of the Public Elementary School at area of South Denpasar District. The research was conducted with cross-sectional design on 31 canteen of Public Elementary Schools in at area of South Denpasar District in January to March 2015 .The statistical test used was chi-square method. Positive E. coli contamination in food snacks of the Publick Elementary School Canteen at area of South Denpasar District were occur in amount of 71 % and 29 % negative. The factors related to the E. coli contamination in the snacks were foodstuffs ( p = 0.037 ) , storage of foodstuffs ( p = 0.041 ) , food- processing ( p = 0.037 ) , sanitary facilities ( p = 0.015 ) and power handlers ( p = 0.037 ) . The most dominant factors related to E. coli contamination in snacks of the canteens of Public Elementary School at area of South Denpasar District is sanitation facilities especially the water which have been used in process of the food-snack preparation .Suggested to all state elementary school cafeteria Region South Denpasar to improve environmental sanitation and water sources are more hygienic.

This research is conducted to produce a product that can organize learning well and can ease problem solving in learning especially mathematics. The resulting product is the development of learning models and create an easy techniques as a solution to complete multiplication in Elementary School (SD). This is motivated by the low ability to solve various multiplication problem that occurred in the 4th grade in Elementary School (SD). This data was obtained based on observation and interviews conducted with teacher’s classroom at some public Elementary Schools in Purwakarta district. In one of the public Elementary Schools it was found that only 25% of students were able control multiplication. Based on the problems, the research method use is Research and Development (R&D) Borg and Gall. Product design that will be developed and applied that is model of learning model of mathematics education model (T2ME) and technique of SuBatSaGa multiplication. Our Product design developed has been approved by the experts. The experts in this research that is lecturer of mathematics. Keywords: multiplication, Trans Model Mathematics Education (T2ME), SuBatSaGa technique.

Purpose : The purpose of this research was to know the reasons or causes of lack or absence of Christian Education teachers Design/methodology/approach : The method used in this research was explorative-descriptive case study. Case study procedure in this research had four stages: description (observing/studying), analysis (trying to understand), interpretation (interpretation of data), and action (action plan based on the result of research data). Findings : the main obstacle to procurement of Christian Education teachers as Non-Permanent Teachers was lack or absence of budget Research limitations/implications : This study was limited to the number of Christian students. Interview means that the researcher asked questions to school administrators to obtain information according to research variables. To complete the information required, the researcher observed on the implementation of Christian Education at Public Elementary School in Sub-district of Candisari, Semarang. Practical implications : First, in Sub-district of Candisari there were 37 Public Elementary Schools. Thirty-six schools had Christian students. There were only six Christian Education teachers who teaching Christian Education at 16 schools. Six Christian Education teachers for 16 schools, mean 43% of schools had teachers who teaching Christian Education. That mean 57% or 20 Public Elementary Schools in Sub-district of Candisari had no Christian Education teachers. Originality/value : the Government or the school administrators were less concerned with the implementation of Christian Education, then the church (Christian community) must be willing to assume the responsibility by sending and financing Christian Education teachers to schools that did not have Christian Education teachers yet

Many food snacks have the advantage but still have health risks as evidenced by the many cases of food poisoning, one of the causes of food poisoning is Bacillus cereus. This study aims to determine the amount and percentage of Bacillus cereus pollution on snacks sold in elementary schools. This research is expected to provide information to the public about the presence or absence of bacteria Bacillus cereus contamination. This research uses purposive sampling technique. The sample used in this study was hawker food sold in Elementary School as many as 20 samples consisting of 10 samples that have not fried and ten samples that have cooked. The results of the questionnaire study showed 83% of sellers did not put snacks in closed containers and found Bacillus cereus in meals. Conclusion 9 (45%) of food samples contaminated with Bacillus cereus bacteria

Introduction: Caries is the main oral cavity problem in children. One of the factors causing caries is dental plaque. The purpose of this research is to know the plaque index of 7-year-old children at Public Elementary School Coblong 1, 2, 3, 6 and Salman Al-Farisi Elementary School Bandung City in the year 2011. Method: The type of research is descriptive research with survey method. A total of 143 samples at Public Elementary School Coblong 1, 2, 3, 6 and 112 samples at Salman Al-Farisi Elementary School were obtained based on total sampling technique. Result: This research shows that the average plaque index of children age 7 years at Public Elementary School Coblong 1, 2, 3, 6 Bandung City in the year 2011 amounted to 1.37 and children age 7 years at Salman Al-Farisi Elementary School Bandung City in the year 2011 amounted to 0.74. Conclusions: Children aged 7 years in Public Elementary School Coblong 1, 2, 3, 6 and Salman Al-Farisi Elementary School Bandung City in 2011 has fair criteria of plaque index.

The purpose of sending it to the community is to train teachers in using early grade literacy media in elementary schools. The method used in the form of training to teachers in using media literacy. Participants in the service are 18 Air Tawar Selatan elementary school teachers and 25 Air Tawar Selatan public elementary schools, 22 Koto Tangah District Padang City. Based on the training results it can be seen that the average score of the pre-test participants was 69.54 and the average value of reading poetry after the training was 78.18. Thus it can be seen that the ability of 18 Air Tawar Selatan public elementary school teachers and 25 Air Tawar Selatan public elementary school Koto Tangah District, Padang City have improved after the training in the use of early grade literacy media.

KONDISI SANITASI LINGKUNGAN SEKOLAH (Studi Kasus SD Negeri di Kecamatan Nan Sabaris Kabupaten Padang Pariaman) Rika Anggraini1, Iswandi U2, Endah Purwaningsih3 Program Studi Geografi, Fakultas Ilmu Sosial, Universitas Negeri Padang E-mail : [email protected] ABSTRAK Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah (1) Mengetahui bagaimana sarana jamban/toilet di SD Negeri Kecamatan Nan Sabaris Kabupaten Padang Pariaman. (2) Mengetahui bagaimana sarana pembuangan air limbah di SD Negeri di Kecamatan Nan Sabaris Kabupaten Padang Pariaman. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode Deskriptif. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh SD Negeri di Kecamatan Nan Sabaris Kabupaten Padang Pariaman. Metode pengumpulan data diperoleh dari hasil obsevasi, wawanvara, penyebaran angket dan dokumentasi penelitian. Teknik analisi data yang digunakan adalah dengan menggunakan teknik total sampling. Hasil penelitian memperlihatkan bahwa (1) sanitasi jamban yang terpisah dari ruang kelas, ruang guru, perpustakaan dan UKS memiliki nilai 100%. Jumlah jamban yang tidak mencukupi yaitu 56,5%, sabun cuci tangan 30%, kondisi jamban 71% tidak selalu dalam keadaan bersih, kondisi bak penampungan air 91%, bak dikosongkan pada saat libur panjang 56,5%. (2) sarana pembuanga air limbah yang tidak terpisah dari penuntas air hujan 65%, limbah dibuang tidaak melalui septic tank 13% akan tetapi di alirkan ke sungai dan ke empang. Kata Kunci : Lingkungan, Sanitasi, Sekolah ABSTRACT The of aims research are (1) to know how the toilet’s facility in public elementary school in district of Nan Sabaris Kabupaten Padang Pariaman regency. (2) to know how the condition of the waste disposal facility in public elementary school in district of Nan Sabaris Kabupaten Padang Pariaman regency. The method used in this research is descriptive method. The population of this research is all of the public elementary school in district of Nan Sabaris Kabupaten Padang pariaman regency. The method of data’s collecting is got from the result of observation, interview, quoestionnaire distribution, and the documentation of research. The technique for analyzing data is total sampling technique. The result of the research shows that (1) separated toilet sanitation from class, teacher’s room, libarary, and school medical room, has score of 100%. The amount of insufficient toilets is 56,5%, hand soap is 30%, toilet’s condition which is not always good is 71%, condition of water reservoir is 91%, and clearing the bath tub in periode of holiday is 56,5%. (2) water disposal facility which is not separated from rainwater removal is 65%, the disposed waste doesn’t go through the septic tank is 13% but it goes through river and canals.
