This study aims to create the design of resultant force vector teaching aids to improve students' conceptual understandings. The method of this study is the experimental method with Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. The sample of this study is the tenth grade of 3 natural science class (X IPA 3) as the experimental class and the tenth grade of 4 natural science class (X IPA 4) as the control class at 1 Subah Senior High School. The vector teaching aids were tested for the validity by the validator using a questionnaire. The students' responses were measured using a questionnaire. The students' concept understandings were measured from the results of the pretest and posttest scores. The result of the teaching aids' feasibility test is 98.61%, showing that the teaching aids are very feasible to use. The increase of students' concept understandings measured by the students' learning outcomes in the experimental class after using the resultant force vector teaching aids is 0.7 included in the high category. The attitude and interest responses of the students after using the teaching aids get an average percentage of 71.06% included in the high category. Based on the research results, it is recommended for the teachers to utilize the environment to create real learning

AbstractThis research aimed at knowing the effect of using TPS learning model with ICM media toward student chemistry learning achievement on Hydrocarbon lesson at the tenth grade of State Senior High School 2 Rumbiojaya. It was instigated by the low of student chemistry learning achievement on Hydrocarbon lesson at the tenth grade of State Senior High School 2 Rumbiojaya. It was a Quasi-experiment with pretest and posttest design. Two classes of the tenth-grade students owning the same homogeneity level were the samples, the tenth grade of classes 2 was as the experimental group and class 3 was as the control group, and Purposive sampling technique was used. Observation, homogeneity test as the preliminary data test, pretest and posttest as the final data test, and documentation were the techniques of collecting the data.  t test used to analyze the final data showed that tobserved was 2.038 and ttable was 2.00 at 5% significant level.  It meant that tobserved was higher than ttable, H0 was rejected, and Ha was accepted.  It revealed that there was an effect of using TPS learning model with ICM media toward student learning achievement on Hydrocarbon lesson and the coefficient of effect was 8.6%.Keywords : Think Pair Share, Index Card Match, Learning Achievement, Hydrocarbon.

Abstract This research was an experiment—instigated by the lack of students’ activeness in the teaching learning process. This research aimed at informing that Predict Observe Explain (POE) learning model effected students’ Chemistry learning activity on Electrolyte and Non-Electrolyte Solution material at State Islamic Senior High School of Kuok.  The samples were 29 students of class X.1 (Experimental group) and 31 students of class X.3 (Control group). Interview, normality test of observation sheets, and documentation were the techniques of collecting the data.  T-test was used to analyze the data. Based on the data analysis, tobserved was 2.200 and ttable was 2.00 (tobserved ≥ ttable). It revealed that Ho was rejected. In other words, it showed that there was students’ Chemistry learning activity enhancement on Electrolyte and Non-Electrolyte Solution material at State Islamic Senior High School of Kuok. The influence is counted by using Influence Coefficient (IC) Predict Observe Explain (POE) learning model it is 7,7%. Keywords:Predict Observe Explain (POE)Model, Learning Activity, Electrolyte and Non-Electrolyte Solution

Vocabulary is the language resource, students have to know vocabularies to produce sentences. Thus, the aim of this study was to find out whether snake and ladder board game could improve students’ vocabulary mastery or not. The subject analyzed in this research were the tenth grade students of SMA Muhammadiyah I. The experimental group was X-IPS-I while the control group was X-IPS-II.This study employed quantitative research design. This design was selected due to this present study was required a concrete evidence whether Snake and Ladder Board Game could enhance students’ vocabulary mastery in senior high school or not. In this study the instruments used were pre-test, treatment, and post-test. The pre-test was given to both experimental and control group. After the pre-test was given to both groups, then the experimental group was treated or taught by using snake and ladder board game, while the control group was not treated by using snake and ladder board game. After that, the post-test was also given to both experimental and control group. The researcher used t-test to know the significant difference between the mean score of the experimental and control group. The process of t-test was counted using computer SPSS 17 version. The result of this study was shown that snake and ladder board game could improve students’ vocabulary mastery due to the score of pre-test in control group was higher than the pre-test score of experimental group. Otherwise, the post-test score of experimental group was higher than the control group. Accordingly, related to the result of this experimental research, the researcher concludes that snake and ladder board game can improve students’ vocabulary mastery in the first year students of senior high school.

This study aimed to find out whether using Tongue Twister to Improve Students’ Pronunciation Mastery at the Tenth Grade Students of SMA Swasta Melati Binjai In Academic Year 2019/2020. In this study, used Tongue Twister as the independent variable (X) and students’ pronunciation mastery as the dependent variable (Y), with the hypothesis: using Tongue Twister significantly affects students’ pronunciation mastery of the 2019/2020 tenth grade students of SMA Swasta Melati Binjai Senior High School. The population of this study was the 2019/2020 tenth grade students of SMA Swasta Melati Binjai Senior High School. Which consisted of 62 students. The sample was taken by using cluster random sampling, that consist of 62 students. Then, the sample was divided into two groups, the group taught by using Tongue Twister was as the experimental group and the group taught without Tongue Twister was as the control group. The writer used speaking test as the instrument of collecting data. The data was analyzed by using t-test formula. Based on the data analysis, it was found that the value of t-observed (t0) was higher than the value of t-table, (t-observed = 18.08 > t-table = 1.671). Therefore, the hypothesis proposed by the writer was accepted. In the other words, using Tongue Twister significantly affects the students’ pronunciation mastery of the 2019/2020 tenth grade students at SMA Swasta Melati Binjai Senior HighSchool.

The purpose of research was to determine the problem solving skill of basic chemical laws at tenth-grade senior high school of  through the application of guided inquiry learning models. The ability is known through a three tier multiple choice diagnostic test. This research was an experimental quasi with pretest-posttest control group design. The  sample consisted of 107 students consisting of 56 experimental class  and 51 control class. Based on the results of the calculation of the F test that F count> F table (10.72> 3.93) with α = 0.05. This means that there was an influence of the application of the guided inquiry learning model to students' ability to solve problems in the basic laws of chemistry. 70.71% of students in the experimental class can understand the problem, plan the solution, carry out the solution, and re-examine the results of the problem solving. Meanwhile, control class students were unable to solve very high problems, namely 24.5% students..

Science literacy was the capacity to use scientific knowledge, to identify questions, to draw a conclusion based on the facts, evidence, and data in order to understand and help researchers to make decisions about the natural world and human interactions with the nature. This research aimed at knowing the  effect of implementing Science, Technology, and Society (STS) learning model toward student science literacy ability on Electrolyte and non-Electrolyte Solution lesson at State Senior High School 2 Tambang. It was a quasi-experimental research with non-equivalent control group design. Purposive sampling technique was used in this research. The data were obtained from test and interview. The research findings showed that the score of Sig. (2-tailed) 0.000 was smaller than 0.05 (0.000<0.05), and tobserved was higher than ttable (11.564>1.667). Based on the basis for decision making in Independent Sample t- test, it could be concluded that Ha was accepted and H0 was rejected. It meant that there was an effect of implementing STS learning model toward student science literacy ability on Electrolyte and non- Electrolyte Solution lesson at State Senior High School 2 Tambang with the coefficient of effect 18.2%.
