The principal concern of this research was to learn more about effective designs of learning activities in blended courses. A questionnaire was administered in three sections of a not-for-credit intensive blended graduate seminar in university teaching.  The online activities included readings, videos, discussion forum activities and other activities using a range of web-based technologies. Students rated each of the activities on four target criteria: alignment with the course learning outcomes, deep learning, engagement, and value. Students also were asked to identify the most useful activities for each of the five modules and evaluate the course as a whole in terms of navigation, expectations, instructions, availability of materials, instructor presence, and technical quality of media. The results suggest that students’ perceptions of the activities followed very similar patterns across the four target criteria. The most highly-rated activities had four distinct design, which are discussed.

Abstractlearning process  good teaching  can create a situation that allows children to learn, so that is the starting point of the success of teaching. The low quality of education depends on the management of the teaching and learning process which can be interpreted as being less effective in the teaching and learning process, the causes: (1) Low learning activities, (2) Inadequate facilities and infrastructure. The case in Solok City Middle School, the low level of student learning activities allegedly influenced the low student learning outcomes. Based on observations on class VIII A which included the superior class had not yet achieved the desired completeness, the class with the least completeness was class VIII B which was 33.33% with KKM 65 criteria. Seeing this reality, teachers were required to motivate students and foster enthusiasm student learning. Therefore, to foster students' enthusiasm for learning, the author tries to apply student learning activities through discussion methods in small groups.

The quality of teaching and teacher plays a significant role in enhancing students’ cognitive and motivational development. The purpose of this study was to identify longitudinal trajectories of student perceptions of mathematics teachers’ professional competence, and to examine how these trajectories were related to students’ engagement and achievement in mathematics and their choice of college major. The data used for analysis were obtained from the Seoul Education Longitudinal Study, a study of 2714 secondary students who were followed up for five successive years. Results showed four heterogeneous trajectories of students’ perceptions of teacher competence, and these trajectories were associated with students’ engagement and achievement in mathematics. In addition, those who consistently perceived their mathematics teachers to be highly competent and whose perceptions of their teachers’ competence became more positive over time were more likely than other students to choose math-intensive majors. These findings imply longitudinal links between mathematics teachers’ professional competence as perceived by their students and students’ choice of college major as well as their engagement and achievement in mathematics.

The learning process at this time tends to decrease. This is caused by learning that is less interesting.   The Media and methods as a way to overcome monotonous learning need to be developed to improve the quality of  the student learning outcomes. This study aims to improve the activeness and learning outcomes through the implementation of the Creative Proplem Solving (CPS) learning model. "This study uses classroom action research (PTK) consisting of 4 stages,  the stages namely of planning, implementation, observation and reflection. With  the research  subjects XDPIB2 class students consisting of 34 students, 24 male students and 10 female students. The instrument used was an observation sheet of student learning activities, and a test of student learning outcomes. The results of this study indicate an increase in the average of student learning activities that continue to increase from cycle I to cycle III, it can be seen from the average learning activity of students who continue to increase starting from cycle I in the category of sufficient activity, amounting to 2.44. Cycle II was 3.38 with good category activity and Cycle III increased by 4.31 with very good category activity. Learning by using this CPS can improve student learning outcomes. based on observations on cycles I, II and III. From the three cycles, there was an increase in the average test of student learning outcomes in a row starting from cycle I, II and III was 60.65, 72.85 and 85.24 and only 1 student had a score below 75 of 34 students so that the application of the model CPS learning can improve the activities and learning outcomes of students of SMK Negeri 1 Sidoarjo

Abstract Objective –This article reports on a pilot research project that gathered usage statistics in specifically designated library learning spaces using a Web-based Geographic Information System (GIS). These learning spaces were then mapped to expected learning activities that would occur in these areas based on its intention or design. In this way, the library could begin to associate the usage of a space with different types of learning. The researchers then mapped these learning activities to campus learning outcomes to create learning impact statements. Methods – The researchers used observation data gathered with a Web GIS tool to examine space usage within the library’s curriculum center. Results – The pilot study found that student usage of the curriculum center was mainly associated with two campus learning outcomes: (1) Communicate and (2) Learning and Integrate. The evidence also indicated possible design improvements that may make the curriculum centers spaces more functional for students. Conclusions – The Web GIS tool proved to be a useful tool to gather evidence of student space usage within the library environment. The mapping of individual spaces to learning activities further enhanced the usefulness in interpreting how students are using library spaces. Leveraging the space usage data within learning outcomes statements created another means for the library to communicate its learning impact with campus stakeholders.

Abstract. The effectiveness of a model can be seen from an indication of the increased quality of the process and learning outcomes. High or low student learning activities have an influence on the achievement of learning objectives that have been set. The preliminary study results showed the phenomenon of the low learning activities of class VII F students in PAI learning, especially in doing assignments and discussing in groups which of course must be solved immediately. Through the descriptive method with the CAR model, it is known that the alternative solution is to apply the teams games tournament (TGT) model. After going through two cycles of action and each cycle goes through the stages of planning, implementation, observation, and evaluation, showing the results that the application of the TGT learning model has become a trigger in increasing student learning activities in PAI learning. Students interested in getting involved in games and tournaments after previously taking steps in presenting and working with teams.Abstrak.  Arabic is the second language studied by many madrasas and pesantren in Indonesia. It is important to continue to improve the quality of Arabic language learning by evaluating all learning activities. One of them is evaluation of assessment instruments. The research instrument is a tool used to obtain data about the process and learning outcomes of students which are carried out systematically and continuously so that it becomes meaningful information in decision making. In education, there are many forms of assessment instruments that can be used to measure and assess the learning process and outcomes that have been carried out. Mufrodate learning as the object of study in this study also uses various forms of assessment instruments. In the seventh grade Arabic book published by the Ministry of Religion in 2014, we can find the forms of assessment instruments for mufradât mastery. One of them is a similar instrument that has been developed in a study such as a picture instrument (card). Other forms such as description instruments, multiple choice, wording, matchmaking and so on are popular instruments that are also used in this book.

The purpose of the this research is: (1) To know the quality of the mathematics learning outcomes that apply a authentic assessment, (2) To know the student's response to the application of an authentic assessment of mathematics learning. This study uses a quantitative method of causal-comparative type, using test instruments, questionnaires and observations. The object of this study is conditioned in 2 classes, control class (Class 8B) and experiment class (Class 8E). The results showed that the application of the authentic assessment used by teachers is good. On the basis of the data obtained, it is known that the result of learning two classes (control class and experiment class) on attitudinal aspects and skills has the same relative quality. While the learning outcomes on the knowledge aspect, the maximum value reached by the experimental class is higher than the control class (from 72.5 to 65). The effect of treatment on the experimental class is low, indicated by the value of ES (effect size) obtained equal to 0.3. The result of the study based on the student's response level shows that there are 7 students who have a low response to the learning activity (18%), 23 students have an average response to the learning activities (61%) and 8 students have a high response to learning activities. Two other categories, none of the students had very low and very high responses to learning activities (0%). This study also confirmed that Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted, so it can be concluded that  there are differences in mathematics learning outcomes among students who use authentic assessment with students who do not use authentic assessment.
