The article reveals ESP distance learning course for foreign language training of the law-enforcement agencies personnel. Topics and stages of ESP online language learning course have been considered. The training of personnel of border security units is an integral part of the system of ensuring Integrated Border Management; it is necessary to provide coherence of units for the skillful organization of their operational and service activity. The authors focus particular attention on the structural and logical scheme of ESP distance learning course according to the separate modules. The purpose of the article is to reveal developed the ESP online course in the framework of border guards training in Ukraine. The purpose set required performing a thorough needs analysis of the target audience (border guard officers serving at the border). It has been determined that it is more efficient for border guards to study the English language without leaving their professional duties at the border. The results of the development and implementation of the English language distance learning course for foreign language training of the Border Guard Agency personnel allowed us to conclude that it is necessary and effective for border guards to obtain professional language skills for performing everyday tasks, organizing operational and service activity and during border control at checkpoints across the state border. The teacher during ESP online course acts as a catalyst for communication, provides feedback, takes into account a variety of learning styles, and pays considerable attention to the development of not only intellectual but also moral qualities of border guards. The developed online ESP course for Border Guard Agency personnel effectively functions in the system of professional training, providing an opportunity for border guards at the workplace without interrupting their main activity to improve their level of professional English proficiency. The course can be implemented in other law-enforcement educational institutions for independent learning of personnel in order to form foreign language competence, especially for officers who plan to participate in joint international programs and trainings.

The paper deals with the issue of English language training for IT-specialists at Ukrainian universities. Understanding the importance of studying foreign languages has been confirmed by a number of normative documents. Peculiarities of professional training of IT-specialists at higher education institutions with the focus on foreign language training are considered. Pedagogical conditions for formation of communicative competence of IT-specialists are analysed. The content analysis of existing English language course books and textbooks for IT-specialists has been conducted to find out the content of foreign language training. It is stated that English language teaching aids in information technology, computer engineering, computing and software engineering can be used in the learning process, however, their use requires thorough refinement and modification. The series of guides and manuals for teaching English for professional purposes are presented.

This article discusses the main problems and issues of professional and psychological suitability in the system of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan. The analysis of the existing scientific literature was carried out, and also the author's recommendations were formulated to improve the professional training and professional suitability of the employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Along with the professional training of police officers, their psychological qualities also play a decisive role in ensuring efficiency in operational-search activities. The quality and effectiveness of the implementation of operational-search activities, then its level directly depends on the psychological characteristics of the operative and his professional training. It should be noted that scientifically grounded conclusions about the professional and psychological suitability of employees can only be achieved with the help of high-quality and correct psychological diagnostics, that is, using psychometric methods. The basis for the survey of professional and psychological suitability, the procedure, procedure, conditions and terms of the survey, cases of re-examination are determined by regulatory legal acts. Consequently, the research and scientifically grounded measures to determine professional suitability in the internal affairs bodies of the Republic of Tajikistan are relevant, and the scientifically grounded results obtained as a result of our research can be used to further improve the professional and psychological selection to the law enforcement agencies of the country.

The article is devoted to the psychological and pedagogical substantiation of the expediency of learning foreign languages while studying in the institution of higher education. The authors analyse the current educational process in Ukrainian and identify the most important factors influencing the formation of qualified professionals and establish the role of foreign language in each of these factors. It was found that studying can be extremely intensified due to learning a foreign language. It is established that learning foreign languages increases a person’s ability to develop intellectually. Learning a foreign language is a special challenge for students with hearing impairments as it requires not only developing necessary strategies to learn all language skills in another language, but also overcoming specific perceptual and performance difficulties. The methodology of foreign language teaching to students with hearing impairments describes this process with reference to deaf and hard-of-hearing students of various ages who have various degrees of hearing impairment and who use various communication techniques. However, experiences relating to foreign language learning by people with cochlear implants have not been studied so far. These are students with unique characteristics whose hearing impairments are usually severe or profound and, at the same time, whose functioning is similar to the functioning of hard-of-hearing people thanks to their cochlear implants. It is assumed that their full inclusion in education in mainstream schools and social integration are possible.The article presents the issue of teaching the English language as a foreign language to students with hearing impairments who use cochlear implants (three case studies), especially in the context of the level of independent learning, beliefs concerning foreign language learning, foreign language classroom anxiety or lack of anxiety, and the scope of learning to read, write, speak and listen in a foreign language. In the study, a questionnaire designed by the authors was used as well as the scale FLCAS (Horwitz, Horwitz, Cope, 1986), autonomous scale (Macaskill, Taylor, 2010) and subscale BALLI (Horowitz, 1999).

The article deals with the use of foreign language distance learning for first-year foreign students of economic specialties. The implementation of distance learning is one of the ways to modernize the education in Ukraine in the context of globalization and the intensive development of information technologies. Distance technologies are now widely used in many fields of education, especially when teaching a foreign language to inophones. Creating an effective learning system, based on information technology, is an urgent task at all levels of education. One of the systems focused on the professional development of future specialists is the system of teaching students a foreign language using information technology. The possibilities of organizing the educational process are not limited to traditional and distance learning. There is a significant educational sector in which distance learning cannot be fully applied, but individual elements of e-learning can be used (in particular, distance learning technologies). It is referred to full-time and part-time (1-2 courses) forms of higher education. The mixed learning has become a special role as a more perfect model of the educational process organization, which takes the advantage of distance learning and compensates for these disadvantages. To improve the organization of the educational process for the language training of foreign students, we consider appropriate to use the materials of distance courses in the models of mixed learning. The options for integrating distance learning into the traditional system of language training for foreigners in the mixed learning models have been analyzed. When integrating the model into a traditional educational process at this stage of foreigners' training, it is suggested to use the distance course developed by us with the prevailing classroom component, because the degree of students' independent work in learning the teaching material of the discipline in the first year is not high. The structure and content of the distance course «Foreign Language» (educational-professional sphere of communication connection), designed on the Moodle platform, are considered in the article. The importance of using distance technologies in the process of organizing language training for foreign students is noted. It contributes to the formation of professional competence of future specialists in the field of economics.

The paper presents issues associated with the introduction of effective educational technologies to distance learning a foreign language at the university. The review of the author’s use of Zoom technology in medical education is presented. The current problems of introduction of distance learning technologies in teaching English language to medical students are determined. The experience of distance learning for teaching medical students a foreign language by the electronic educational resource Zoom is described.
