Perempuan dan Liminalitas dalam Tradisi Perkawinan Adat di Timor Tengah Selatan

Timorese culture is patriarchal in that men are more dominant than women. As if women were not considered in traditional rituals so that an understanding was built that valued women lower than men. However, in contrast to the article to be studied, this would like to see the priority of women’s roles in traditional marriages in Belle village, South Central Timor. The role of women wiil be seen from giving awards to their parents called puah mnasi manu mnasi. This paper aims to look at the meaning of the rituals of puah mnasi maun mnasi and the role and strengths that women have in traditional marriage rituals in the village of Belle, South Central Timor. The method used for this research is a qualitative research method using interview techniques with a number of people in the Belle Villa community and literature study to strengthen this writing. Based on the data obtained this paper shows that the adat rituals of puah mnasi manu mnasi provide a value that can be learned, namely respect for women, togetherness between the two families, and brotherhood that is intertwined due to customary marital affrairs.

This research relates to one of the cultures that exist in Mali, namely the culture of eating indigenous. The culture of traditional eating is known as the ritual of hada o na'adi, this ritual is only carried out in a traditional wedding party and is a legacy from ancestors that is still preserved to this day. This paper also aims to look at the hada o na'adi ritual function in a traditional wedding party in Mali. The method used is a qualitative research method using direct interview techniques with several people representing each tribe in Mali and literature study to strengthen this writing. based on data obtained from the field, this study explains that the ritual of hada o na'adi has two main functions, namely the religious function and social function. The religious function of the hada o na'adi ritual is to have magical power to better organize people's mindsets and lives, while the social function is as a symbol of togetherness, courtesy, mutual respect and order.

A school is a place for students to meet and learn, as well as to improve and refine their behavior to be excellent in cognitive, affective, and psychomotor. To realize this, students try to highlight all their abilities. However, slight friction appeared, which impacted individual and even group conflicts. The abuse attitude is performed in disrespectful action, mocking, unrespectful debating. They are happened both inside and outside the school. This study describes the importance of Christian Religious Education Teachers' (PAK) Role in preventing and resolving conflicts. The method used in this research was the descriptive qualitative research method. Data were collected through observation, interview, literature study. After that, they are analyzed in-depth and described descriptively. The result shows that Christian Religious Education Teachers' role as communicators is an effective way to resolve student conflict.

The purpose of this study was to determine the leadership role of the village head during the pandemic in Riding Panjang Village, Bangka Belitung Islands Province. Meanwhile, the research method used is a qualitative research method where there are instruments, namely: observation, interviews, and documentation. From the results of the research on the Leadership Role of the Village Head during the Pandemic in Riding Panjang Village, Bangka Belitung Islands Province, they have carried out their duties well because Riding Panjang Village, Bangka Belitung Islands Province was appointed by the sub-district as a representative of the Belinyu sub-district (Riding Village, Riding Panjang Village, Bangka Belitung Islands Province) as "Tegap Mandiri" village because there are still zero percent of covid cases and fast handling.

Arak Bali is a traditional Balinese alcoholic beverage that is still popular in this modern era. Balinese people are already very familiar with this type of alcoholic drink, especially those who are young or who have religious ceremonies.  Arak Bali is widely produced in Sidemen village, Karangasem Regency. This study applies a descriptive qualitative research method. The data were collected through participating observation, interviews with the community in Sidemen village as well as a literature study of Arak Bali.  The study found, so far Arak needs have been widespread, from the religious need to commodify into the needs of tourism, especially in bars and restaurants. The Arak cocktail has become a spirit in beverage blends, which can be found in the bars and restaurants in Bali. Therefore, this type of beverage is still an item that has high value in the economic sector as well as support for the life of farmers in Sidemen village. This condition makes farmers in the village of Sidemen to consistently produce wine and retain their legacy.

ABSTRAK: Penelitian ini bertujuan mengungkap penggunaan deiksis persona, tempat, waktu, wacana, dan sosial dalam novel Rahwana karya Anand Neelakantan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian kualitatif. Teknik Pemerolehan data dengan menggunakan studi pustaka/dokumentasi. Objek Penelitian dalam penelitian ini adalah deiksis dalam novel Rahwana karya Anand Neelakantan. Hasil penelitian ini adalah sebagai berikut: 1) deiksis persona menyebabkan tokoh-tokoh dalam novel Rahwana berpindah-pindah peran menjadi pembicara seperti aku, kita, dan kami. Peran menjadi lawan bicara atau yang diajak bicara seperti kau dan kalian. Peran menjadi yang dibicarakan seperti dia dan mereka. 2) Deiksis tempat menyebabkan rujukan tempat berpindah-pindah jaraknya� berdasarkan peristiwa bahasa dan konteksnya 3) Deiksis waktu dapat menyebabkan rentang waktu berpindah-pindah rujukannya. 4) Deiksis wacana dapat menyebabkan rujukan dapat berpindah-pindahnya keterangan dari rujukan� dalam bentuk sebelum atau bisa menjadi setelahnya 5) Deiksis sosial dapat menyebabkan perbedaan tingkatan seseorang, seperti jabatan atau kasta yang berubah-ubah berdasarkan pelaku peristiwa bahasa dan konteksnya.KATA KUNCI: Analisis deiksis persona, deiksis tempat, deiksis waktu, deiksis wacana, dan deiksis sosial. �������������� ��ABSTRACT: This study aims to reveal the use of persona, place, time, discourse, and social deixis in Rahwana's novel by Anand Neelakantan. The research method used in this study is a qualitative research method. Data acquisition techniques using literature study / documentation. The object of research in this study is deixis in the novel Rahwana by Anand Neelakantan. The results of this study are as follows: 1) Deixis persona causes the characters in Rahwana's novel to move into the role of speakers like me, us, and us. The role of being the person you're talking to or being talked to as you and you are. The role of being talked about like him and them. 2) Deixis of place causes a reference to a place to move its distance based on language events and context 3) Deixis of time can cause a span of time to move its reference. 4) Deiksis discourse can cause references can move information from references in the form before or can become after 5) Social deixis can cause differences in a person's level, such as position or caste that changes based on the perpetrators of language events and context.KEY WORDS: Analysis deixis persona, deixis place , deixis time , deixis of discours,and deixis social

This study aims to see the community participation in the satellite area in the construction and maintenance of Drainage in the Village Marindal II District Patumbak Deli Serdang. The research method used to answer the problem in this research is the method of qualitative research approach. Data obtained through in-depth interviews, literature study and documentation. Informant research comes from the elements of sub-district government and community. The results of the research show that the participation, involvement and utilization of drainage facilities are running well.

Meoli spell present as one performance package within custom ritual called meoli ritual. Meoli ritual is a politeness expression of the perpetrators in expressing the purpose of request permission or apology to the sangia as the ruler of nature when opening the land to grow crops. This study examines the value of politeness in the meoli spell with the ethnopoetic approach. The issues raised are how has the politeness value existed in the meoli spell. By applying qualitative research method, data collection is done by observation, interview, and literature study. From the analysis, it is known that the value of politeness in the meoli mantra embodies the priority scale in which the preferred is the custom observer, followed by an apology by mentioning the whole of the target, newly expressed by the expression of intent and hope as the core message of the meoli spell. The beautiful way of disclosure also supports the value of politeness in the meoli spell

The purpose of this research is to find out how the Responsibility of Village Fund Allocation in Tambat, Tanah Miring District, Merauke Regency. Theoretical Benefits, as reference material for research in the field of future accountability. In discussing and reviewing the issue of implementation, the accountability of village fund allocation in Tambat Tanah Miring District Merauke Regency the author uses a qualitative research method, namely data collection can be from interviews, observation notes, photo taking, audio and video recording. This type of descriptive research is a research that is sought to observe problems systematically accurate funds regarding the facts and characteristics of certain objects, with the number of informants as many as 13 people.The results of this study indicate that the accountability of village fund allocation in the implementation of village funds in Tambat, Tanah Miring District, Merauke Regency, runs well but there are still a number of problems that occur, planning, realization of the program and not in accordance with the details and calculations in the RAB. Kampung, Implementation of Village Fund Allocation conducted by Kampung Tambat Officials has not gone well and has not been carried out in accordance with the procedure because the village head of Tambat was considered not transparent regarding Village Fund Allocation to the people of Tambat Village, Reporting indicators, Village Fund Allocation has not been implemented properly due to reports what has been made is not maximal with what is done in Tambat and indicators, the accountability of the village head regarding the Village Fund Allocation also does not work with planning, implementation and reporting, this is evidenced by the making of the first report and the answer to ADD ADK, PROSPECTS made by other parties not by village officials have not been implemented with the reality that happened at Tambat.

The aim of this study is to analyze the effectiveness of the role of English subject to implant and to improve students’ university behavior to be honest, do not cheat on the test, and do not corrupt on their daily life. In order to reach the goal of this study the writer uses qualitative research method with descriptive qualitative approach. While, technique of data collecting is done by observing, field studying, interviewing and documenting. The result of this study is expected to be able to have a contribution and is useful for all related parties, especially university or college in order to build students’ behavior to be honest, do not cheat on the test and do not corrupt in their life

The purpose of this study was to determine the environment and culture of Pekalongan City through the jlamprang batik motif as one of the icons of Pekalongan batik motif. The problem of this research is related to the causes of the emergence of jlamprang batik motifs in Pekalongan as well as the environment and culture that shape this culture. The method used in this study is a qualitative research method, beginning with a literature study, followed by in-depth interviews with craftsmen, batik makers, and observers of Pekalongan batik, as well as direct observations at the production site. The results showed that Pekalongan is a port city that allows multicultural trade to occur as well as a city that has a batik creative industry. The cultural environment of Pekalongan was shaped by Arab Muslim traders, among others, indicated by the jlamprang motif as a flower-shaped and brightly colored batik motif.
