The objective of this research was to observe the pedagogic, professional, personal, and social competence of high school biology teachers in Batu Bara district. The population in this research were all of biology teacher in high school of Batu Bara district as many 22 people. Samples were taken by purposive sampling with a sample of 22 teachers, 90 students from 9 schools were each taken 10 students, 3 lecturers as validator expert. This research was conducted by using descriptive qualitative. Data were collected using questionnaire of observation, test comprehension, student assessment, teacher and student questionnaires. The results showed that pedagogic competence was appropriate, with the highest result in the mastery of the learning (4,85±0,357) and pre-learning (4,32±0,862) but still in appropriate criteria, from the test given to teachers on average 57,72 % of teachers can answer the test given by the highest score successfully answered 39 questions with 78% comprehension level of the lowest value just answer 11 questions with a level of comprehension 22%.In the professional competence of the teaching materials scored significantly higher values ​​(116.05 ± 6.973) and the lowest value (38.91 ± 3.350) suggesting that teacher professional attitude towards the teaching materials they provide.The results of a questionnaire assessment of teachers and students questionnaire also showed the results of personal competence and social competence biology teacher in Batu Bara District was very well.At the personal competence, the average value of the total aspects of the assesment (77.68 ± 5.867) and assessment of students with an average value (89.77 ± 4.350), and on the social competence, the mean value of the total aspects of the assessment (85.09 ± 3.829 ) on the teacher questionnaire, as well as the mean value (87.53 ± 3.706) in the student questionnaire.This study has implications for the importance of sustainable development for high school biology teachers in Batu Bara district.

Abstrak. Tecnnology pedagogycal and content knowledge (TPACK) merupakan kompetensi abad 21 yang harus dikuasai oleh guru. Telah banyak penelitian yang dilakukan tentang TPACK namun menghubungkan TPACK dengan media pembelajaran masih terbatas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kompetensi TPACK pada media pembelajaran guru Biologi SMA. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada seluruh SMA negeri yang ada di Kota Tanjungpinang sebanyak 7 SMA Negeri dengan sampel sejumlah 22 guru biologi.  Prosedur penelitian diawali koordinasi awal dengan pihak sekolah dan kesepakatan jadwal penelitian, dilanjutkan dengan penyusunan instrumen dan pelaksanaan penelitian. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan menggunakan angket terbuka yang berisi sesuai dengan aspek TPACK terdiri atas Tecnologycal Knowledge dan Pedagogycal Content Knowledge. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa guru biologi sebagian besar telah memanfaatkan media dalam pembelajarannya dan juga memiliki kemampuan yang sederhana dalam mendesain media pembelajaran. Media pembelajaran yang dimanfaatkan dan didesain sebagian besar baru berupa powerpoint. Kompetensi TPACK untuk aspek TK berada pada kategori sangat baik, begitu juga untuk aspek  PCK guru biologi SMA kota Tanjungpinang berada pada kategori sangat baik. Kompetensi TPACK pada media pembelajaran guru biologi SMA kota Tanjungpinang baru sebatas memanfaatkan media pembelajaran berbasis teknologi yang sederhana dan mudah untuk digunakan serta mudah dalam pengembangan dan mendesain. Kata kunci: guru biologi SMA,  media pembelajaran, TK, PCK,  kompetensi TPACK Abstrack. Pedagogycal technology and content knowledge (TPACK) is  a 21st century competence that must be mastered by the teacher. There have many studies conducted on TPACK but connecting TPACK with learning media is still limited. This study aims to analyze TPACK competence at learning media Biology high school teachers in Tanjung Pinang City. It was conducted in 7 senior high schools in Tanjungpinang City with 22 biology teachers as a samples. Procedure started by coordination with the school and an agreement of tstudy schedule, followed by preparation of instrument and implementation of the study. This study used open questionnaires in accordance with aspects of TPACK such as Tecnologycal Knowledge and  Pedagogycal Content Knowledge. The results of this study indicate that most biology teachers have used the media in their learning and also have a simple ability to design instructional media. The learning media that are utilized and designed are mostly new in the form of powerpoints. TPACK of biology teachers is in the excellent category for TK,  as well as for PCK category Tanjungpinang city high school biology teacher is in the very good category. TPACK competence in the learning media of biology teachers in Tanjung Pinang City is only limited for utilizing simple technology-based learning media easy to use ,easy to develop and design.Keywords: High school biology teacher; Learning media; TK; PCK; TPACK competency

AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk, mendeskripsikan dan menginterpretasikan hasil karya poster peserta didik kelas XII IPS SMA Negeri 1 Kabanjahe, yang ditinjau berdasarkan unity (kesatuan), layout (tata letak), tipografi, dan warna. Populasi dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 24 karya  poster peserta didik dengan sampel berjumlah 3 karya (12,5% dari total populasi) dan teknik yang digunakan adalah  purposive sample. Data dianalisis menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan cara mengetahui hasil validasi yang dilakukan validator, kemudian hasil validasi dianalisis berdasarkan kategorisasi yang berkaitan dengan objek yang  diteliti yang meliputi kesatuan (unity), tata letak (layout), tipografi, dan warna. Dari total 24 karya peserta didik, karya no 5 memperoleh nilai tertinggi (94) ,nilai sedang dengan kategori baik karya no 17 (89) dan no 22 kategori baik dengan nilai terendah (86,5). Sebanyak 11 karya (46%) memperoleh predikat sangat baik (A) dan sebanyak 13 karya (54%) memperoleh predikat baik (B). Berdasarkan analisis diperoleh kesimpulan hasil bahwa nilai pada aspek unity (kesatuan), didapat rerata berjumlah 89, 25, untuk layout (tata letak), dengan nilai rerata 89,41, tipografi  dengan nilai rerata 88,29, dan warna dengan  nilai rerata 88,95. Secara umum rerata untuk empat kategori dapat dinterpretasikan  berkualitas baik.  Kata Kunci: poster, kesatuan, tata letak, tipograi.AbstractThe research aims is to describe and interpret the posters work of the 12th social grade students  (XII SOS 1)  Public Senior High School 1 Kabanjahe (SMA Negeri 1 Kabanjahe) , which are reviewed based on unity, layout, typography, and color. The population in this study amounted to 24 poster works by students with 3 sample works (12.5% of the total population) The technique used in this research is purposive sample . Data were analyzed using qualitative descriptive methods by knowing the results of the validation conducted by the validator, then analyzing the results of the validation based on the categorization relating to the object under study which includes unity, layout, typography, and color, then the results of the validation were analyzed based on the categorization relating to the object under study which included unity, layout, typography, and color. From a total of  24 works of students, work No. 5 received the highest score (94),  intermediate value which in  the good category work No.17 (89) and number 22 which  good category with the lowest score (86.5).  The Total  of 11 works (46%) received an excellent rating (A) and 13 works (54%) received a good rating (B).Based on the analysis, the conclusion of the research results shows that the value of the aspect of unity obtained an average of 89, 25, for the layout with an average value of 89.41, typography with a mean value of 88.29, and color with a mean value 88.95. In general, the results of the mean scores for the four categories can be interpreted as good quality. Keywords: poster, unity, layout, typography.

Lack of awareness and limited information about the dangers of e-cigarettes among teenagers, especially high school students, make them assume that e-cigarettes are a safe alternative to reduce smoking habit. This can be circumvented through the development of teaching materials that are tailored to the needs of students. This study aims to develop teaching materials about the negative effects of e-cigarettes as a source of learning for high school students and analyze their validity, readability, and feasibility. This development research uses the plot of Thiagarajan et al., (1974), namely 4-D (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate). The subjects of this research include material & media experts, students of class XI MIPA 3 and XI MIPA 4 SMAN 12 Semarang, and teachers who are members of senior high school biology teachers forum in Rembang Regency. The results showed the validation scores of material and media experts were 83% and 97.7%, respectively, with very valid criteria. Analysis of the readability of teaching materials from the results of student responses and the cloze test, respectively obtained an average score of 86.2% and 84% with very good and independent criteria. Analysis of the feasibility of teaching materials from the results of teacher responses at the senior high school biology teachers forum in Rembang, obtained an average score of 83.7% with very feasible criteria. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that teaching materials about the negative effects of e-cigarettes are valid, it has good readability, and feasible to use as a source of learning for high school students. The teaching material is expected to be able to add insight and knowledge about the negative effects of e-cigarette exposure and to contribute better in improving the quality of learning resources.

Keberadaan potensi lokal perlu digali sebagai bahan ajar agar proses pembelajaran lebih kontekstual dan bermakna. Keterbatasan pengetahuan guru yang tergabung dalam MGMP guru biologi SMA dan SMP se-Kabupaten Hulu Sungai Tengah memerlukan bimbingan teknis penyusunan bahan ajar biologi berbasis potensi lokal. Kegiatan ini bertujuan memberi bekal dan bimbingan kepada guru-guru biologi sekolah menengah dalam menyusun bahan ajar berbasis potensi lokal. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan melalui metode ceramah, diskusi, workshop dan konsultasi daring serta penugasan mandiri. Berdasarkan kegiatan yang telah diselenggarakan, diketahui bahwa guru menunjukan antusiasme yang tinggi, sebagaimana terlihat dari proses tanya jawab dan diskusi yang berlangsung sangat dinamis. Banyak guru yang menyampaikan potensi lokal daerah, serta meminta saran dan masukan terkait bahan ajar apa yang dapat dikembangkan. Berdasarkan data yang masuk, terdapat 14 orang guru dari 20 peserta yang sudah mengajukan format pengembangan bahan ajarnya. Dari data 70% peserta yang telah mengajukan format pengembangan bahan ajar ini, menunjukkan peserta telah mendapatkan bekal pengetahuan dan memiliki motivasi tinggi untuk menyusun bahan ajar berbasis potensi lokal sebagai perangkat pembelajaran. Di wilayah Kabupaten Hulu Sungai Tengah memiliki berbagai jenis flora dan fauna, baik yang terdapat di perairan (sungai dan rawa) maupun di daratan. Potensi lokal ini dapat dikembangkan untuk  penyusunan bahan ajar Biologi. The existence of local potential needs to be explored as teaching materials so that the learning process is more contextual and meaningful. The limited knowledge of teachers who are members of the MGMP for biology teachers in SMA and SMP in Hulu Sungai Tengah Regency requires technical guidance in preparing biology teaching materials based on local potential. This activity aims to provide provision and guidance to high school biology teachers in preparing teaching materials based on local potential. This activity is carried out through lectures, discussions, workshops, online consultations, and independent assignments. Based on the activities that have been held, it is known that the teacher shows high enthusiasm, as can be seen from the very dynamic question and answer process and discussion. Many teachers convey the local potential of the area and ask for suggestions and input regarding what teaching materials can be developed. Based on the incoming data, 14 teachers from 20 participants have submitted the format for developing their teaching materials. The data of 70% of participants who have proposed this format for developing teaching materials shows that participants have gained knowledge and have high motivation to develop teaching materials based on local potential as learning tools. The Hulu Sungai Tengah Regency has flora and fauna, both found in waters (rivers and swamps) and on land. This local potential can be developed for the preparation of Biology teaching materials.

This study aims to determine the application of applied biology in everyday life by junior high school students in Tabanan District of Bali Province. The method used in this research is survey research method. Respondents who are the subject of this research are grade VIII students from 3 sample schools in Tabanan District. The three sample schools are Public Junior High School 2 Tabanan, Public Junior High School 1 Kerambitan, and Public Junior High School 2 Penebel. Data collection was done by distributing questionnaires to respondents. The questionnaire consists of 25 question items. The collected data is analyzed descriptively by presentation in the form of a complete description with visual data in the form of tables and graphs. Each question item is given a range of 0 to 5. The minimum score is 0, whereas the maximum score is 5. The total score of each student will be converted to a scale of 100. Next is determined the mean-value for each sample school. The mean grade of each sample school was then compared and classified. Categorization of the average value refers to the classification of absolute norms scale 5. Based on the results of research can be concluded that the application of applied biology by junior high school students in Tabanan District is still quite enough. This condition requires all of us who are work in the education sector to find solutions through further studies to a better level. Thus, the expectations of what students have learned in the field of biology are useful to them and their environment.

The aims of this study to find the validation conducted by the material expert validator on the development of the exposition text writing module. This research used development method by using population data of all student grade X vocational high school Brigjen Katamso Medan with total 92 students. The technique of collecting data by using by simple random sampling. . The results of the validation carried out by the material expert validator on the development of the exposition text writing module with the genre approach 89.11% with the category "Very Good". The results of the validation carried out by the design expert validator on the exposition text writing module overall average value of 90.80% with the category "Very Good". The teacher's assessment of the exposition text writing module with the genre approach for grade X students obtained an average value of 80.70% in the "good" category

The idea of the study is that the value potential of the subject is a fundamental element of the knowledge system as part of the realization of the idea of sustainable development in education. The basis of the study used the classification of value categories proposed by Milton Rokeach in 1979. We found that in the main school, the content of the subject “Biology” is primarily aimed at forming ideas about terminal values – “life”, “health”, “nature”; in high school – about terminal values “life”, “health”, as well as instrumental values – “perseverance”. The value ideas of a biology teacher are one of the key factors in the formation of students’ value ideas. In the structure of value representations of biology teachers, the three leaders are orientations towards terminal values. We have put forward the assumption that there is a dissonance between the value ideas of respondents and the values that the school biology course is aimed at forming an idea about.

In the game of futsal, work of postural muscle balance needed to maintain the stability of the body for receiving the pass and put the ball into the other team's goal at the time of attack, changing the direction of movement quickly when returning to their respective positions and avoid of back disorder. This research is a form of experimental research that will test the effectiveness of the provision of trunk balance exercise is better than the strengthening of back exercises to improve muscle work balance of erector spine on futsal beginner players, in this study sample will be divided into two groups, the first group will be given trunk balance exercise to improve balance of erectorspine muscles work in futsal begginer players, the second group will be given back strengthening exercise to improve balance of erectorspine muscles work in futsal begginer players.This study was conducted for 6 weeks and the intervention performed 18 times during the study period. Samples measured by surface electromyography to measure work of right and left erector muscle by calculating the proportion of the work on the muscle, the measurement is performed at before the intervention and then intervention in accordance with the grouping which has been divided and then after completion of the intervention, the samples will be re-measured to obtain the value of the intervention.The results of the first group who has been given of trunk balance exercise shows the average value of the before treatment (83.82 ± 2.94) % and the mean value of the after treatment (96.74 ± 2.39) %, and in the second group who has been given strengthening back exercise shows the mean value of the before treatment (88.29 ± 1.89) % and the mean value after treatment (95.91 ± 1.75) %, with the probability value of both groups is 0.000 (p <0.05), and can be expressed there is a significant difference between both groups. In the fourth hypothesis test conducted comparative results of both groups, using independent samples t-test using mean value of the first and second groups, in the first group (12.92 ± 2.94) %, and the second group (7.61 ± 2.12) %, with a probability value 0.000 (p<0.05) and can be expressed in statistical analysis is no significant difference between both treatments were carried out and that means, giving trunk balance exercise is better than back strengthening exercise to improve balance of erector spine muscles work on futsal beginner players.
