The research was conducted to learn whether there is or not an effect of Transformational Leadership and Work Discipline on Work Achievement of the Officers in Educational Departement of Surabaya. Data were collected based on questionaire given to 45 respondents all of whom are educational department officers of Surabaya regardless of their office ranks. The type of the applied research is explanatory wich aimed at analyzing effect of Transformational Leadership and Work Discipline independent variable toward Work Accomplishment dependent variable of officers in educational departmen of Surabaya. Data were analyzed by means of validity and reliability technique examination, classical assumption examination and hypothesis examination which is double regression correlation and partial correlation using Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS 20). The result of the analysis revealed that both transformational leadership and work discipline provided significant effect on the work accomplishment of the educational department officers of Surabaya with contribution determination of  46,3 per cent  and regression equety Y = 0,873 + 0,36 X1 + 0,554 X2+ ℮. In conclusion, this research proved that better work discipline application resulted in workaccomplishment improvement of the officers in educational department of Surabaya.

The purpose of this research is to find out whether there is a relationship between social support and motivation to become a cosplayer in COSMIC (cosplayer Minang Community) in Padang. The independent variable in this study is social support and the dependent variable is the motivation to be a cosplayer. The measuring instrument used in this study is the scale of social support and the motivation scale of being a cosplayer. The population in this study amounted to 47 people. The sample technique in this study used a saturated sampling technique. Saturated sampling is a sampling technique if all members of the population are used as samples. Samples in this study amounted to 47 people. Test the validity and reliability using Technique Cronbach Alpha. The item different power index on the social support scale moves from 0.337 to 0.793, while the motivation scale becomes a cosplayer moves from 0.330 to 0.741. The reliability coefficient on the social support scale is 0.890, while the reliability coefficient on the motivation scale becomes cosplayer at 0.893. Hypothesis test results show the correlation coefficient of 0.296 with a significant level p = 0.043 means that there is a significant relationship between social support and motivation to become cosplayers in Padang, with the effective contribution of social support to motivation to become cosplayers in Padang by 9% and 91% influenced other factors. So there is a relatively low relationship between social support variables and the motivation to become cosplayers

This chapter explains Marx’s concept of money and how it is fundamentally different from other concepts of money in the social sciences. Money is a contradictory object that can be fully understood only through a dialectical approach. Failure to acknowledge the contradictory constitution of money leads to a theoretical misunderstanding of what money in capitalism is. In this regard, the Neoclassical and Keynesian approaches to money are incomplete and inadequate. But the Marxist theory of money also faces its twenty-first-century challenges, among them two in particular: the determination of the value of money and how inconvertible money can function as a measure of value. The last part of the chapter explains how inconvertible money operates in our contemporary international monetary system and how it relates to the existence of fictitious capital.

Произошедший в социальных науках идеационный поворот способствовал усилению внимания к идеям и повышению их роли в самых различных процессах. Несмотря на отмеченную тенденцию большинство отечественных исследователей до сих склоняются к материальным интерпретациям, отводя идеям в лучшем случае вспомогательную роль. Обращение внимания к идейной детерминации институциональных преобразований в политико-правовой сфере представляет чрезвычайную значимость по ряду причин: (1) данные институты до сих пор занимают ведущее место среди прочих установлений, предлагая надежные объяснения развития конкретных обществ; (2) интеллектуальные ресурсы в контексте современного мира обладают несомненными преимуществами перед материальными условиями, поскольку сегодня далеко не всегда ресурсное изобилие коррелирует с эволюционной траекторией развития государств; (3) идеи трансграничны и трансисторичны, а содержащиеся в них смыслы легко операционализируются и адаптируются под необходимые реалии. Настоящая статья посвящена прикладному значению идей, которые воплощаются в политико-правовых институциональных формах как решающих структурах мирового развития. Обоснована значимость идей в контексте современного мира. Показано, что критическое отношение к односторонним концепциям позволяет создавать альтернативные сценарии мирового развития. Выявлена значимость учета адаптации содержания интеллектуальных конструктов для политико-правовых институтов в их взаимосвязи с последствиями для других сфер общественной жизни. В логике авторского подхода рассмотрены примеры идейной детерминации политико-правовых институциональных преобразований с учетом ведущих мегатрендов современности. Актуализирован междисциплинарный поиск в прикладных контекстах как ведущее направление сегодняшней социальной философии. Приведены соображения по поводу поливариантности мирового развития и необходимости адаптации конфигураций передовых идей под множественные цивилизационные геномы, что позволяет исключить устаревшую дихотомию «Запад - Незапад». В заключение обобщаются основные выводы и подводятся итоги исследования. The ideational turn that has taken place in the social sciences has contributed to an increased attention to ideas and an increase in their role in a variety of processes. Despite the noted tendency, the majority of Russian researchers are still inclined towards material interpretations, assigning ideas, at best, to an auxiliary role. Paying attention to the ideological determination of institutional transformations in the political and legal sphere is of extreme importance for a number of reasons: (1) these institutions still occupy a leading place among other institutions, offering reliable explanations for the development of specific societies; (2) intellectual resources in the context of the modern world have undoubted advantages over material conditions, since today resource abundance does not always correlate with the evolutionary trajectory of development of states; (3) ideas are transboundary and transhistorical, and the meanings contained in them are easily operationalized and adapted to the necessary realities. This article is devoted to the applied meaning of ideas that are embodied in political and legal institutional forms as decisive structures of world development. The significance of ideas in the context of the modern world has been substantiated. It is shown that a critical attitude to one-sided concepts allows one to create alternative scenarios of world development. Revealed the importance of taking into account the adaptation of the content of intellectual constructs for political and legal institutions in their relationship with the consequences for other spheres of public life. In the logic of the author's approach, examples of ideological determination of political and legal institutional transformations are considered, taking into account the leading megatrends of our time. The interdisciplinary search in applied contexts as the leading direction of today's social philosophy has been updated. Considerations are given about the polyvariety of world development and the need to adapt the configurations of advanced ideas for multiple civilizational genomes, which makes it possible to exclude the outdated dichotomy «West-Non-West». In conclusion, the main findings are summarized and the results of the study are summed up.

This study aims to find the impact of leadership style (Transformational leadership and Transactional leadership) on the performance of Nurses in the Health sector. The study conducted in Temar medical Center, Erbil, Kurdistan Region. Fifty questionnaires have been distributed. The data collected analyzed by Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS). After ensuring the reliability and validity, the results indicated both leadership style, Transformational leadership, and Transactional leadership had a positive and significant impact on nurses' performance. However, the results showed Transformational leadership style more important compared to Transactional leadership on Nurse's performance.

This research aims to investigate the influence of some supervision related background variables on the supervisees’ supervision experiences during their research at postgraduate level. We conducted a survey from (N= 422) supervisees using Supervisor-Supervisee. Relationship Questionnaire (SSRQ, 65 items) scored on six point scale. The items of SSRQ were developed on six supervision aspects to find the supervision related experiences in addition to the selected background variables. The subscale wise content validity and reliability of the SSRQ was ensured. Inferential statistics were applied to achieve the main objectives of the research. The findings of the research highlighted the importance of supervisors’ expertise and research skills in the supervisees’ area of research. The supervisees who were not given choice for the selection of the supervisor have reported negative supervision experiences. Giving choice to the selection of a supervisor can improve the supervision experiences of supervisees and can minimize the potential personality and research interest related anomalies. Supervisees from the social sciences disciplines reported the problem of workload management during the supervision process. On the basis of findings it is suggested that supervision allotment procedure, alignment between supervisors’ area of specialization and supervisee research topic and discipline specific supervision trainings may be initiated.

Football is an important sport that today attracts large audiences. Because of this interest in football, this sport has been the subject of academic studies of many disciplines in the Social Sciences. However, it is considered in the context of football sponsorship, especially in public relations, marketing and Communication Studies, and research is carried out on it. As is known, sponsorship activities are an important application used for different goals and goals in communication strategies for businesses. Today, when we examined the areas where businesses will be carried out for sponsorship, sports fields, in these fields, especially football, offering significant opportunities for businesses and is a sport that is effective in reaching their target audience. In this study, the focus was on the dynamics affecting success in sponsorship practices in football for businesses. The main aim of the study is to contribute to the literature by making a conceptual assessment of the main factors affecting success in football sponsorship studies. In this context, the literature review method was used in the study. Businesses that will make it work sponsorship in football as a result of the assessment of the key points that need to be careful: the target audience of the media in determining the interest in football sponsorship activity, which will be the determination of the interest in football, sponsorship or support will be given, which will be supported football club football player's image as a type of activity, and finally discussed and evaluated.

With increasing numbers of publications, synthesizing research in management and organization studies (MOS) and the social sciences in general has become necessary to summarize knowledge, discover research gaps, and gather interdisciplinary insights. To do so, reviews of the literature depend on a rigorous method for searching specifically for MOS that is to date largely lacking. This article demonstrates a six-step protocol for setting up a rigorous search. Instead of sampling from a limited set of journals, it focuses on databases and uses information in thesauri, key articles, and automated text analysis to construct a search string. It details decision aids on database inclusions and syntax adaptations and discusses additional search techniques, with best practice examples. The six-step process provides practical considerations for authors and develops assessment criteria for journal editors and reviewers to judge the rigor of the search in terms of construct, internal, and external validity and reliability. Thus, the article facilitates more rigorous syntheses in the social sciences by focusing on the heart of any such endeavor, the search.

M.G. Trend has made a number of candid but disquieting observations on the role of anthropologists in the contract research industry. In "Managing and Being Managed" (Practicing Anthropology, Vol. 1, No. 3, 1979) and other unpublished papers, such as "The Hedgehog and the Fox Revisited" and "The Anthropologist as Go-fer," he reports that from the standpoint of developments in applied social science, anthropology is undergoing a fundamental transformation. This transformation is taking place on two levels. First, writing as ethnographer, Trend observes that corporate applied research in the social sciences has redefined the role of the anthropologist, driving him from the lonely greatness of a Malinowski or a Kroeber to a member of a research team. Second, the anthropologist's position on the team is not that of visionary or theorist, but of a hunter and gatherer of raw, "qualitative" information. Like a monitoring device to detect tremors or tidal waves, the anthropologist's training merely disposes him to unreflectively absorb information. He lacks the capacity or inclination to formulate a significant research problem, or appreciate the rigor and precision demanded by canons of empirical testibility.
