The purpose of this study was to determine the improvement of the character of homeland love for elementary school students through the application of ethno-edutainment-based learning. This research is a pre-experimental study with one group pretest post test design research design. The sample used in this study was a fifth grade student of Muhammadiyah Kudus Elementary School with a purposive sampling technique. Data on students' love of homeland characters was obtainedusing student observation sheets and analyzed using normalized gain tests. The results showed that students' homeland love character scores after learning were higher, reaching 12.54 compared to before learning with a score of 6.36. The results of the normalized gain analysis show that the level of increase in the love character of the homeland students in the low category was 4.55%, the medium category was 40.91%, and the high category was 54.54%. Classically, the value of normalized gain g is 72% or 0.72, which means that the interpretation of the increasein the character of love for the country is high

The number line and the neutralization model have been used very extensively in teaching integer additions and subtractions for decades. Despite their advantages, issues concerning subtractions on these models are still debatable. Therefore, the neutralization on an empty number line (NNL) model is proposed in this research to help students better understand the meaning of integer subtractions as well as additions. This report is a part of a design research study conducted in a classroom of 28 elementary school students at the fifth grade. Data were gathered by collecting students’ written work, conducting interviews and observations during the teaching experiment. This paper focuses on students’ perceptions of the NNL model and what factors that might contribute to students’ achievements in understanding integer additions and subtractions. The analysis revealed that most students overemphasized on the use of the NNL model as a procedural method instead of as a model for thinking. Moreover, students’ mathematical beliefs and conceptions on the use of the column strategy and the absence of a discussion on the need of using the model are found to be some factors that could cause students’ misunderstandings. However, with a thorough planning, the NNL model has a potential to help students developing a meaning of integer additions and subtractions.

The study aimed at developing a multilingual thematic picture dictionary as a media to support literacy in English language for fifth grade elementary school students in Bali. This study used Design and Development (D&D) model by Richey and Klein (2014). The steps were (1) analysis, (2) design, (3) development, and (4) evaluation. Fifth grade elementary school students and English teachers from rural and urban area were the research subjects. They were chosen through purposeful sampling technique. In analysis, the data were collected through observation, interview, questionnaire, and document analysis. The result of needs analysis found that there is an urgency of developing multilingual thematic picture dictionary. The students needed dictionary while learning English because it helped them in finding the word’s meaning independently and could help them prepare for additional point while participating in teaching learning process content validity judgement showed that the dictionary was highly valid to criteria of a good multilingual thematic picture dictionary. The result showed that the multilingual thematic picture dictionary was categorized as ‘excellent’ media. Students experience very high anxiety, so it impacts the difficulty of digesting and understanding mathematics learning materials. It causes low Mathematics learning outcomes. This study analyzes the effect of anxiety and emotional intelligence on fifth-grade elementary school students' mathematics learning outcomes. This study was an "ex post facto" study with a population of 238 students. The sample was determined using a proportional random sampling technique to obtain a total sample of 142 students. The techniques used to collect data were observation, interviews, questionnaires, document recording, and tests. The instrument used to collect data was a questionnaire. Hypothesis testing was carried out using simple regression analysis techniques and multiple regression analysis. The results of this study indicate that: There is an influence of anxiety on mathematics learning outcomes with a contribution of 3.5%; There is an influence of emotional intelligence on mathematics learning outcomes with a contribution of 6.6%; There is an influence of anxiety and emotional intelligence on mathematics learning outcomes with a contribution of 7.2%. So the conclusion of the research shows a significant influence between anxiety and emotional intelligence on the mathematics learning outcomes of fifth-grade elementary school students.

Motor skills are important skills that must be possessed by every student because it has an influence on the overall student development. However, various obstacles that affect the achievement of students' motor skills often occur during the implementation of motor skill learning. The purpose of this research was to find learning activities that can stimulate motor skills of elementary school students. Experiments were carried out using One-Group Pre-test Post-test Design. Participants of the study were 126 first grade elementary school students, consisting of 76 males and 50 females aged 6-6.5 years. The sampling technique used the total sampling method. The data collection technique used the Test of Gross Motor Skill-Second Edition (TGMD-2) with an observation sheet instrument. The analysis employed SPSS 20 with a paired sample test. The results showed that there was an increase in the post-test mean score compared to the pre-test mean score with a significant increase. This increase occurred because traditional games used a play-based approach and encouraged students to use their motor skills. For that reason, traditional games are effective in improving motor skills of elementary school students.

Dental health problems are a very important concern in child development because of the vulnerability of school-age children to dental health problems. It happens because of problems with knowledge about dental health in children. This study aims to determine the increase in dental health knowledge using animated video media for health education in elementary school students in North Mollo. This is a pre-experimental design, with a one group pre-test and post-test design research design. This design does not have a comparison group, but at least a first observation (pre-test) has been made which allows testing of changes that occur after the experiment. The sampling technique used in this study was the purposive sampling technique, and the sample size is 51 students. The results of the analysis using the Wilcoxon statistical test showed that the animated video was effective to increase knowledge about dental health with a significance value (ρ) 0.00 <(α) 0.05. Animated video media can be used as an outreach technique about maintaining dental health in elementary school-aged children.

This study uses a quantitative approach with quasi-experimental methods. The study population was the fifth-grade elementary school students in District Ciparay Bandung regency. The sample consisted of 51 students divided into 25 students in the class IV-A as an experimental group and 26 students in the class IV-B as the control group. Instruments used comprises a written test regarding social issues. Quantitative analysis is performed against the average pretest and post test critical thinking skills by using the t-test and Mann Whitney test. The results showed that the differences are critical thinking skills in students using problem-based learning model at initial measurement (pre-test) and the final measurement (post-test). encourage the student can solve his problems with critical thinking, there are no differences in the ability of critical thinking in students who use conventional learning model at initial measurement (pre-test) and the final measurement (post-test), there is an increased critical thinking skill in students whose learning using model-based the problem is higher than students whose learning using conventional learning.

In the 21st century, the use of innovative and digital-based teaching media are required. This research aimed at examining the effect of gamification based on local stories as teaching media on fifth grade elementary school students’ motivation. Quasi experimental with one group pre-test post-test design was implemented. The study was conducted at SD N 1 Penarukan where 25 of fifth grade students in academic year 2019/2020 were involved as the sample of study. Three instruments were administered to collect the data; pre-test post-test, treatment instrument and interview. The result showed that post-test mean score has significantly improved compared to pre-test score (42.29 > 23.35). Hypothesis testing result (paired sample t-test) showed the tobs value was higher than tcv (20.811>1.677) with α = 0.05, which indicated that gamification positively affected students’ motivation. The interview result revealed that the students are highly motivated to learn by using gamification.
