The objective of the paper is  to find out the strategy of Isalamic education teachers in embedding multicultural values at a senior high school in Palu.  The study used a qualitative case study method. Data were gathered through direct observation, un-depth interviews with the school’s teachers, and written material analyses. This study found that the teachers of the school embedded multicultural values through humanistic approach in taching and daily school’s interaction. Students were given tolerance understanding to respect religion and ethnicity differences. The curriculum of the school was also redusugned by integrating multicultural values. Intolerance attitudes were strongy prohibited and stric rules to respect each other were imposed.  Islamic education teachers were imposed to teached moderate Islamic teachings which respect multicultural values. Radical Islamic views were prohibited to teach in the school. Muslim and non-Muslim students were treated equally regarding their views and beliefs.

This study discusses  teachers strategy of Islamic Education in overcoming students  difficulties of  reading Al-Qur'an  a State Junior  High School. The problems that will be addressed  included what strategies were used by the teachers in overcoming students difficulties in  reading Al-Qur'an and who the strategies were implemented to solve the problems. In conducting the study, we used a qualitative case study method. The case of this study was a state junior high school in West Sulawesi province. Data were gathered through direct field observation, in-depth interviews which involve teachers and the school principle. We also analyzed written material, such as the school teaching activities, to understand how the teachres solve students difficulties in reading al-Quran.  Our study found that the strategies to overcome students difficulties in reading al-Quran included  the determination of the qualification of learners. Hold a special coaching for students who experience difficulties in reading Quran. Then the teachers made  cooperation  with fellow teachers and learners. Finally, the teachers familiarized the students to read Al-Qur'an.

AbstractThis study aims to identify, analyze and describe the vulnerability of workplace accidents that are commonly experienced by groups of Bajo Tribal fishermen. In addition, the types of causes of work accidents and the strategies of Bajo fishermen divers overcome the vulnerability to workplace accidents. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative (case study method). While, data collection is done through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The results showed that the types of work accidents that are often experienced by Bajo diver fishermen are cramping of limbs (feet, hands, and stomach),to temporary paralysis and total paralysis. Some of the causes of Bajo diver work accidents are accidents when using fish bombs; forget (kalupang) using a modified compressor when diving; exhausted when diving (kamaleang); exposed to very cold lumps of water that resemble ice water; and attacked by sea ghosts (kasamperoang). The strategy of the Bajo divers in overcoming work accidents begins with "paruru" (rituals carried out in the house before going to sea), "racing nails" (the ritual of feeding boat guards and marine guards on boats), "niba pinah" ( the ritual of throwing betel nut into the sea to ask for protection from the guardians of the sea), observing the conditions of the sea, and understanding the symptoms of illness and its treatment personally, handling families, involving traditional healers and medical personnel.   Penelitian ini bertujuan mengidentifikasi, menganalisis dan mendeskripsikan kerentanan kecelakaan kerja yang pada umumnya dialami oleh kelompok-kelompok nelayan penyelam Suku Bajo. Selain itu, juga dijelaskan jenis-jenis penyebab kecelakaan kerja dan strategi penyelam nelayan Bajo mengatasi kerentanan kecelakaan kerja. Metode yang digunakan dalam peneltian ini adalah metode kualitatif (studi kasus) yang bersifat deskriptif. Sedang, pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa jenis-jenis kecelakaan kerja yang seringkali dialami nelayan penyelam Suku Bajo adalah kram anggota tubuh (kaki, tangan, dan perut), hingga lumpuh sementara dan lumpuh total. Beberapa penyebab kecelakaan kerja penyelam Bajo adalah adanya kecelakaan saat penggunaan alat bom ikan; lupa (kalupang) menggunakan alat kompresor yang dimodifikasi saat menyelam; kelelahan saat menyelam (kamaleang); terkena gumpalan air yang sangat dingin yang menyerupai air es; dan diserang hantu laut (kasamperoang). Strategi penyelam Suku Bajo dalam mengatasi kecelakaan kerja, diawali dengan melakukan “paruru” (ritual yang dilakukan di dalam rumah sebelum melaut),“pakang balapati” (ritual memberi makan penjaga perahu dan penjaga laut yang dilakukan diatas perahu), “niba pinah”(ritual membuang pinang ke laut untuk meminta perlindungan kepada penjaga laut), mengamati kondisi laut dan memahami gejala sakit dan pengobatannya secara personal, penanganan keluarga, melibatkan dukun dan tenaga medis modern.

The research aims to analyze the communication practices of single mothers in carrying out their dual roles. This research approach is a critical qualitative case study method. The research data were collected through in-depth interviews with a number of informants and participatory observation. The research results show that there are five interaction arenas of single mothers in carrying out their dual roles, i.e. with their household, fellow single mothers, women, men, and with the environment / community. Communication practices that they are carrying out are interpersonal, avoiding conflict when interacting with men, and messages that tend to be emphatic when interacting with the community. Therefore, communicating their dual roles is a necessity because single mothers are frequently confused when they have to choose between housewife and modest public / productive role or they try to balance both roles if they have a larger productive role.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasikan dan mengetahui secara lebih mendalam alasan-alasan pelaku bullying melakukan bullying dan juga bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran empati pelaku bullying di Sekolah Menengah Atas.  Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif  dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Subjek yang terlibat dalam penelitian ini berjumlah dua orang yang dipilih berdasarkan teknik purposive sampling dan tekhnik pengumpulan data yang dilakukan adalah menggunakan observasi dan wawancara mendalam. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa alasan pelaku bullying melakukan perbuatan bullying yaitu dikarenakan faktor karakteristik korban, sikap korban, tradisi/budaya bullying di sekolah. Pelaku bullying melakukan bullying juga dikarenakan memiliki kemampuan empati yang rendah. Ketidakmampuan pelaku untuk berempati menyebabkan mereka kurang mampu untuk melihat dari sudut pandang orang lain, mengenali perasaan orang lain dan menyesuaikan kepeduliannya dengan tepat. Kurangnya empati dari pelaku menyebabkan pelaku kurang memahami kondisi korban, tidak peduli dengan korban dan cenderung melakukan tindakan kekerasan kepada orang atau korban. Keywords: empati, pelaku bullying, siswa Sekolah Menengah AtasThis study aimed at identifying and understanding more deeply the reasons doing the bullying and to describe empathy bullies in high school. This research is a qualitative case study approach. Subjects involved in this study is two people chosen by purposive sampling technique and the data were collected using the techniques of observations and in-depth interviews. Based on the research results know that the reasons bullies bullying act because characteristic factor of the victim, the victim attitude, and tradition/culture of bullying at school. the bullies have a low capacity for empathy. Inability the bullies to empathize cause them less able to see the persfective of others, recognize the feelings of others and adjust to the proper concern. Lack of empathy the bullies bringing not understanding of the condition of the victim, no matter the victim and tend to commit acts of violence to the person  or the victim. This research is intended to search and information about the strengthening of Islamic religious education (PAI) through the recitation of furudhul Ainiyah which is carried out in Nurul Jadid Paiton Junior High School. The method of this research is by qualitative method with case study method, to express. That is more intense and deep with the above phenomenon. Technique of completion of data and information is done through interview, observation, study study, and literature study. The findings of this research are 1). Students or students are required to complete the recitation of Furudhul Ainiyah as a condition to take the odd semester and even semester exam and become a requirement for class and graduation increase. 2). the implementation of the furudhul Ainiyah memorization is performed on Thursday and Friday nights and Tuesday nights, and can also be done during normal day breaks, 3). The responsible and recipient of the rote deposit are PAI teachers and their homeroom teachers, 4). For students and students who can not read written Al-qur'an is not subject to rote burden, but get special coaching related to Al-Qur'an reading written by the religious coordinator of students. 5). Memory materials include Aqidah, Fiqih or Amaliyah materials, and daily prayers for students of VII and VIII semerter 1 and 2, while for classes IX semesters 1 and 2 cover the material of the Qur'an and Fiqh. 6). This study aims to obtain a description related to the learning of PAI by using ICT and how the impact of the use of ICT on PAI learning systems in the classroom. The research method uses a qualitative approach in the integrated Islamic high school Ummul Quro Bogor, West Java. The results showed that a) there were four stages of using ICT in the learning process, namely; emerging, applying, integrating dan transforming. PAI teachers are already at the integrating stage. In other words, ICT has been integrated into the PAI learning curriculum. b) supporting factors for the use of ICT are the existence of ICT support facilities, the availability of qualified educators, the commitment of the school to implement ICT in every PAI learning. c) Inhibiting factors in the use of ICT are aspects of financing ICT facilities require a large budget. Some elderly teachers have difficulty using ICT in the learning process. Besides, the internet network is unstable. d) The impact of the use of ICT is very significant on PAI learning process. e) the existence of ICT devices not only as a support but already as an important component in the education system. The research led to the recommendation of the need for government support in the form of concern for ICT in terms of policies, facilities, workforce, budget, and organizing training in the use of ICT for PAI teachers to improve their professionalism. Therefore, further research is suggested regarding the effectiveness of the use of ICT in the learning process of PAI.

Purpose The purpose of this study is to examine and understand the experiences of tourists in the Turkish coffee houses in Istanbul, Turkey. Design/methodology/approach In this study, a qualitative case study method was used to analyze tourists’ comments with user-generated content technique by analyzing tourists’ comments. The data used in the study was collected through TripAdvisor, which is considered one of the most famous websites with tourist reviews and comments, between 20 May and 10 June 2020 from tourists’ reviews (n:219). Findings The findings show that Turkish coffee house experiences are heterogeneous based on the dimensions of coffee characteristics, place, satisfaction, recommendation and revisit intention, value/price and value-added experience. Moreover, value-added experience includes some sub-themes such as a memorable experience, authentic experience and culture learning experience. Originality/value There are some studies on Turkish coffee and Turkish coffee culture in the literature, but there have been no empirical studies investigating the Turkish coffee house experiences of tourists. For this reason, this study aims to examine and understand the experiences of tourists in Turkish coffee houses. Therefore, it is believed that this study will fill the current gap in the literature on tourists’ experiences of Turkish coffee houses.

The implementation of One Village One Product (OVOP) program in Indonesia refersto the economic development of one village with one main product from the villagers’ creativity. Naga traditional village is one of traditional villages producing handicraft from natural resources. The use of ICT for promoting and marketing faces obstacles related to ICT adoption and digital readiness of the villagers. Case study method was deployed through in-depth interviews to five key informants. Based on the diffusion of innovation theory, the result shows the ICT adoption is in early majority level and their digital readiness is in the unprepared group

In its development, madrasas experienced ups and downs in their development. The most basic problem is the management aspect. The following cases of management are interesting to note. There are schools or madrasas that initially experience setbacks, then can progress rapidly. On the other hand, there are schools or madrassas that initially developed, but then almost went out of business. One of the reasons is due to the management that is not mature enough, therefore personnel management in the world of education is very important especially in educational institutions especially Islamic-based educational institutions. This study aims to determine the application of personnel management in Islamic education institutions and supporting and inhibiting factors in its application. This research is a type of field research with a multi-case study research approach. Data collection methods used Participatory Observation and In-depth interviews. The steps of data analysis in this study use the analysis of the Miles and Huberman models. Based on the results of research in the field it was found that: 1) The implementation of personnel management in MA Darul Ihsan Samarinda and YPM Diponegoro Tenggarong Seberang High School which consisted of educators and education staff. There are several components of personnel management, including seven components that have different divisions and elements, namely planning, recruitment, coaching, dismissal, but there are three important components that have not been comprehensively applied, namely compensation, appointment and evaluation. 2) Supporting factors for the implementation of personnel management in MA Darul Ihsan Samarinda and YPM Diponegoro Tenggarong Seberang High School are the motivation given by the madrasa headmaster and headmaster to their personnel so that they always try to be better and give encouragement or enthusiasm in carrying out their tasks. Both vision, mission, goals because each institution must have a vision, mission and goals as well as MA Darul Ihsan Samarinda and YPM Diponegoro Tenggarong High School have a vision, mission and clear objectives, while the inhibiting factor in the implementation of personnel administration is a means of implementing administration in MA Darul Ihsan Samarinda and YPM Diponegoro Tenggarong Seberang High School due to the unavailability of sufficient funds and human resources in their fields.
