Abstract: The research objective is to find out the effect of the Community Language Learning method and the Emotional Intelligence on students’ speaking skill at the eighth grade of SMP Darussalam Ciputat. This research used a quasi-experimental with factorial design which involved 60 students as the sample, (as the experimental and the control group), who were chosen by using purposive sampling technique. The research data were collected through test of speaking skill, and the questionnaire to test emotional intelligence. The data were analyzed by factorial ANOVA test. This study’s findings revealed that: (1) Community Language Learning (CLL) method is more effective in enhancing students’ English speaking skill than the conventional method. (2) The students who have a high level of emotional intelligence are better in speaking skill than those who have a low level of emotional intelligence. (3) There is no interactional effect between teaching method and emotional intelligence (EI) on the students’ speaking skill.Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh metode Pembelajaran Bahasa Komunitas dan Kecerdasan Emosional terhadap Keterampilan Berbicara Siswa Kelas VIII SMP Darussalam Ciputat. Penelitian ini menggunakan eksperimen semu dengan desain faktorial yang melibatkan 60 siswa sebagai sampel (kelompok eksperimen kontrol), dengan teknik purposive sampling. Instrumen terdiri dari tes keterampilan berbicara percakapan, dan angket kecerdasan emosional. Analisis data dilakukan dengan uji ANOVA faktorial. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Metode Community Language Learning (CLL) lebih efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berbicara bahasa Inggris siswa daripada metode konvensional. (2) Siswa yang memiliki kecerdasan emosional tingkat tinggi memiliki keterampilan berbicara yang lebih baik daripada siswa yang memiliki kecerdasan emosional tingkat rendah. (3) Tidak ada pengaruh interaksional antara metode pengajaran dan kecerdasan emosional (EI) terhadap keterampilan berbicara siswa. Artinya, siswa tingkat IE tinggi pada metode CLL maupun konvensional lebih baik daripada tingkat IE rendah.

The present study is aimed at developing effective guidance program for increasing student’s learning motivation. The present study applies quantitative research approach with nonequivalent pre-posttest control group quasi-experimental design, and nonrandom-purposive sampling technique. The data were collected using inventory, interview, and documentary study. The study comes up with the main finding that the tested guidance program is proven to be effective for increasing learning motivation students of 11th grade at SMA Kartika XIX-2 Bandung.

ABSTRACT: SEFT THERAPY (SPIRITUAL EMOTIONAL FREEDOM TECHNIQUE) FOR ANXIETY IN DEALING WITH LABORBackground: If the concern and anxiety of pregnant women is not handled seriously, it will have an impact and influence on physical and psychological aspects, both on the mother and the fetus. Pregnant women who experience anxiety in the face of labor are afraid of being operated on, afraid of spending a lot of money, fear of not being able to care for their babies properly, fear of their baby dying, fear of pain during delivery. One of the techniques for dealing with anxiety is SEFT therapy.Objective: to determine the effect of Spiritual Emotional Freedom Technique (SEFT) on anxiety in dealing with labor process.Methodology: this research is a quasi-experimental design with pre and post-test with control group design. The sample in this study was 25 trimester III pregnant women. The sampling technique was using purposive sampling technique. The research instrument used the DASS 42 questionnaire. The results of the data normality test were normally distributed so that the data were analyzed using the paired t-test.Results: The results showed that the average score of maternal anxiety before therapy was 13.48 (moderate) while after therapy was 7.88 (normal). The bivariate test results obtained p value 0,000.Conclusions: Spiritual Emotional Freedom Technique (SEFT) can overcome the anxiety of pregnant women in facing labor.Suggestions: It is hoped that this therapy can be applied in the practice of midwifery to care for pregnant women, especially pregnant women who experience trauma or have anxiety in their pregnancy. Keywords: anxiety, pregnant women, spiritual emotional freedom technique. ABSTRAK Latar Belakang: Kekhawatiran dan kecemasan pada ibu hamil apabila tidak ditangani dengan serius akan membawa dampak dan pengaruh terhadap fisik dan psikis, baik pada ibu maupun janin. Ibu hamil yang mengalami kecemasan dalam menghadapi persalinan disebabkan karena ibu takut dioperasi, takut akan mengeluarkan biaya yang banyak, takut tidak bisa merawat bayinya dengan baik, takut bayinya meninggal, takut kesakitan saat persalinan. Salah satu teknik untuk menghadapi kecemasan adalah denga terapi SEFT.Tujuan: Mengetahui pengaruh Terapi Spiritual Emotional Freedom Technique (SEFT) terhadap kecemasan dalam menghadapi persalinan.Metodologi penelitian: Penelitian ini merupakan quasi-experimental dengan rancangan pre and post test with control group design. Sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 25 ibu hamil trimester III. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan kuesioner DASS 42. Hasil uji normalitas data berdistribusi normal sehingga dianalisis data menggunakan uji paired t-test.Hasil Penelitian: Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa skor rata-rata kecemasan ibu sebelum terapi 13,48 (Sedang) sedangkan sesudah terapi menjadi 7,88 (normal). Hasil uji bivariate didapatkan p value 0,000.Kesimpulan: Terapi Spiritual Emotional Freedom Technique (SEFT) mampu mengatasi kecemasan ibu hamil dalam menghadapi persalinan.Saran: Diharapkan terapi ini dapat diaplikasikan dalam praktik kebidanan perawatan ibu hamil khususnya ibu hamil yang mengalami trauma atau mempunyai kecemasan dalam kehamilannya. Kata kunci: Kecemasan, ibu hamil, Terapi Spiritual Emotional Freedom Technique

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui adanya perbedaan Keterampilan Proces Sains (KPS) siswa menggunakan model pembelajaran inquiry training dan pembelajaran konvensional mengenai materi pokok elastisitas dan hukum Hooke di SMA. Jenis Penelitian ini adalah quasi-experiment dengan desain two groups pretest-posttest. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI MIPA SMA Negeri 5 Medan. Sampel diambil dengan teknik purposive sampling yang terdiri dari dua kelompok yaitu kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan tes dan observasi aktivitas KPS siswa. Data dalam penelitian ini dianalisis menggunakan pengujian hipotesis uji t. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya perbedaan KPS yang signifikan antara penerapan menggunakan model pembelajaran inquiry training dibandingkan pembelajaran konvensional dengan nilai sig. 0,000 pada taraf signifikan 0,05. Berdasarkan hasil uji N-Gain Score dengan penerapan model pembelajaran inquiry training lebih tinggi dalam meningkatkan KPS siswa sebesar 0,70 dalam kategori tinggi dibandingkan KPS siswa dengan penerapan pembelajaran konvensional sebesar 0,59 dalam kategori sedang. Kata kunci: keterampilan proses sains; model pembelajaran inquiry training. ABSTRACTThis study aims to determine the differences in Science Proses Skills (SPS) of students using inquiry training learning model and conventional learning about the subject matter of elasticity and Hooke’s law in High School. This type of research is a quasi-experimental with two groups of pretest-posttest design. The population of this research is all students of class XI MIPA in Public Senior High School 5 Medan. The sample was taken by a purposive sampling technique that consists of two groups, namely an experimental group and a control group. The data collected technique has been done by tests and observations activities SPS student. The data in this research was analyzed a hypothesis-testing t-test. The results showed significant differences in SPS between the application of using inquiry training learning models compared to conventional learning with the value of sig. was 0.000 at the significance of level 0.05. Based on the results of the N-Gain Score test with the application of the inquiry training learning model is higher in increasing SPS of the students by 0.70 in the high category compared to SPS of students with the application of conventional learning by 0.59 in the medium category. Keywords: science process skills; inquiry training learning model.

This research aims at developing Speaking Skill through Interview. Its method was quasi-experimental research non-equivalent control group design. Its population was the students of grade VIII at SMP Negeri 1 Palu, in which consists of thirteen parallel classes. The experimental class consists of 29 students and control class consists of 30 students. It was done in eight meetings. The variables of this research were speaking skill and interview. The samples of this research were students of grade VIII C and VIII D, selected through cluster sampling technique. Its results indicate that the application of interview has overcome the students’ problem. After analyzing them, the result of t-counted was 10.01. By applying degree of freedom (df) 57(29+30-2), and the level significant 0.05, the value of t-table was 2.00. So,  the value of t-counted was higher than t-table. It means that the hypothesis of this research was accepted. Thus, the interview can be applied to develop speaking skill of students grade VIII  at  SMP Negeri 1 Palu.

The objective of the research were (1) To obtain an empirical evidence for the lack of knowledge we have right now about how TBLT is used in developing Marine and Fisheries students’ English speaking proficiency. (2) To find out students’ perceptions on the implementation of TBLT whether learning with TBLT is helpful to understand the lesson or not. The research method was quasi experimental. This research assigned two groups, experimental and control group. Each group consisted of 25 students. The sample was chosen by applying purposive sampling technique. The data obtained through the test were analyzed by using descriptive and inferential statistic. Then the data on the students’ perception in learning speaking by using TBLT approach was collected through questionnaire. The research result showed that there was a positive development on the students’ speaking achievement. It was proved by the mean score of the students’ posttest in experimental group that showed 67.64 while the mean score of the students’ posttest in control group was 56.08. It means that there was a positive development in experimental group. With those several benefits, TBLT ensures that students have a high positive perception. It was proved with majority students’ perception which is 76%. It was classified as high and it can be concluded that TBLT is helpful approach. Key word : Task-Based Language Teaching, Marine and Fisheries' Speaking Skill.

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat pengaruh pembelajaran generatif untuk meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi  matematis siswa berdasarkan kemampuan awal. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuasi eksperimen. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa SMAN 6 Pandeglang,  kelas XI yang berjumlah 9 kelas. Dengan teknik purposive sampling diperoleh kelas XI IPA 4 sebagai kelas kontrol dan kelas XI IPA 5 sebagai kelas eksperimen. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalahThe nonequivalentpretest-postest control group design. Selama penelitian berlangsung kelompok eksperimen diberi perlakuan model pembelajaran generatif sedangkan kelas kontrol menggunakan model pembelajaran ekspositori. Analisis data dilakukan terhadap rataan gain ternormalisasi antara dua kelompok sampel. Hasil penelitian ini adalah (1) Peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa  yang  diberi  perlakuan model pembelajaran generatif  lebih tinggi  daripada siswa  yang mendapat model pembelajaran ekspositori; (2) Terdapat interaksi antara model pembelajaran dan kemampuan awal matematis (KAM) terhadap peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa; (3) Terdapat peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi matematis pada siswa dengan KAM tinggi; (4) Tidak terdapat peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi matematis pada siswa dengan KAM sedang dan rendah. Kata kunci: kemampuan komunikasi matematis, pembelajaran generatif, kemampuan awal matematika   Abstract This study aims to look at the effect of generative learning to improve students' mathematical communication skills based on early mathematic abilities. This type of research is quasi-experimental research. The population in this study were students of SMAN 6 Pandeglang, class XI which numbered 9 classes. The purposive sampling technique was obtained in class XI IPA 4 as the control class and class XI IPA 5 as the experimental class. The research design used was The Nonequivalent Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. During the research, the experimental group was treated with generative learning models while the control class used the expository learning model. Data analysis was performed on normalized gain average between two sample groups. The results of this study are (1) Increased mathematical communication skills of students who are treated with a generative learning model higher than students who get an expository learning model; (2) There is an interaction between the learning model and early mathematic abilities (EMA) on improving students' mathematical communication skills; (3) There is an increase in mathematical communication skills in students with high EMA; (4) There is no increase in mathematical communication skills in students with moderate and low EMA. Technology adoption in classrooms has impacted the way educational practitioners conduct assessments. Online quizzes are preferred compared to paper-pencil based tests. However, very few information that explains the contribution of online assessment towards holistic attainment of students in English. The present study aimed at examining the effects of online assessments on students’ performance. This research employed a quasi-experimental study to evaluate the role of interactive online assessments toward students’ performance in English. Eighty-six undergraduate students in TESL participated in this study; 53 were randomly assigned to the online group while 33 were assigned to the control group. The research computed t-tests to compare the performance of both groups on five different assessments. The results revealed that the online assessment group performed better on four assessments tested—listening and reading skills. The control group performed significantly higher on the assessment that involved presentation (evaluated speaking skill). These findings indicate that online assessments enhance students’ mastery of listening, reading, and writing skill but rather not so much influence on verbal skills. This research implies that educational practitioners should not entirely rely on interactive online platforms. To incorporate the blended-learning approach, classroom activities must consist of a combination of online and offline strategies.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan pengaruh pembelajaran kolaboratif terhadap hasil belajar IPS. Salah satu faktor rendahnya hasil belajar karena pembelajaran yang masih berpusat pada pendidik. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah eksperimen semu dengan desain nonequivalent control group. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik purposive sampling dengan populasi peserta didik kelas V SDN Leuwinutug 04. Hipotesis yang digunakan dengan menggunakan independent sample t-test dengan nilai sig 0,000<0,05 artinya H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima. Jadi, kesimpulan pada penelitian ini adalah pembelajaran kolaboratif berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap hasil belajar IPS kelas V SDN Leuwinutug 04.Kata Kunci: hasil belajar, IPS, pembelajaran kolaboratif.  COLLABORATIVE LEARNING MODEL AS ALTERNATIVE LEARNING ON SOCIAL SCIENCEABSTRACTThis study aims to describe the influences of collaborative learning on social sciences learning outcomes. One of the factors of low learning outcomes due to learning that is still focused on teachers (teacher-centered learning). The method used in this study is quasi experimental with nonequivalent control group design. This study used purposive sampling technique with population of class V students of SDN Leuwinutug 04. The analysis results by using independent sample t-test showed sig value 0,00 < 0,05 means that Ho is rejected and H1 accepted. Therefore, it can be concluded that collaborative learning had significant influences on social sciences learning outcomes of class V students of SDN Leuwinutug 04.

Background: The prevalence of hypertension in Indonesia is 45.9% for 55-64 years old, 57.6% for 65-74 years old and 63.8% for >75 years old. It is estimated that people with hypertension in Indonesia reach 15 million people but only 4% are controlled hypertension. The prevalence is 6-15% in the elderly, 50% are not aware of being hypertensive patients, so they tend to become severe hypertension because they do not avoid and do not know the risk factors and 90% are essential hypertension.The Purpose  Knowing the effect of giving cucumber juice on blood pressure in postmenopausal women in the work area of the Puskesmas baktijaya, south tangerang city in 2021 in the intervention group and control group.Methodology: The researcher used a quasi-experimental research design with a pre-test and with control design. The sample in this study amounted to 36 people consisting of 18 intervention groups and 18 control groups. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. The research instrument consisted of an observation sheet on the state of blood pressure in patients with hypertension before being given cucumber juice and changes in blood pressure in postmenopausal women with hypertension after being given cucumber juice.Research result: There was an effect of giving cucumber juice on decreasing blood pressure in the intervention group with a mean rank of 13.72 and in the control group with a mean rank of 23.28. With a p value of 0.005 < 0.05. There is an effect of giving cucumber juice to decrease diastolic blood pressure in the intervention group with a mean rank of 23.94 and in the control group with a mean rank of 13.06. With a p value of 0.001 <0.05.Conclusions and suggestions: Giving cucumber juice can affect the reduction of blood pressure in postmenopausal women. Sampel dalam penelitian berjumlah 36 orang yang terdiri dari 18 kelompok intervensi dan 18 kelompok kontrol. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan purposive sampling. Instrumen penelitian terdiri dari pada  lembar  observasi  keadaan  tekanan  darah pada  penderita  hipertensi sebelum diberikan jus mentimun dan  perubahan  tekanan  darah  pada  wanita menopause yang mengalami hipertensi setelah diberikan jus mentimun.Hasil Penelitian: Ada pengaruh pemberian jus mentimun terhadap penurunan tekanan darah pada kelompok intervensi dengan mean rank 13,72 dan pada kelompok kontrol dengan mean rank 23,28. Dengan nilai p value sebesar 0,005 < 0,05. Ada pengaruh  pemberian jus mentimun terhadap penurunan tekanan darah diastolik pada kelompok intervensi dengan mean rank 23,94 dan pada kelompok kontrol dengan mean rank 13,06. nilai p value sebesar 0,001 < 0,05.Simpulan Pemberian jus mentimun dapat berpengaruh terhadap penurunan tekanan darah pada wanita menopause.Saran pemberian jus mentimun pada wanita menopause atau masyarakat dapat diterapkan dan dikonsumsi secara rutin. Kata Kunci : Wanita Menopause, Hipertensi, Mentimun
