The Ukrainian scouting movement on western Ukrainian territories reached the highestlevel during the interwar period. Despite the relative integrity it had its own features in Galicia,Volyn', on Bukovyna, Transcarpathia. As living conditions turned out to be peaceful, old plastcentres started to form in schools. "Plast" in Galicia was an example of inheritance and incentive tothe development on other western Ukrainian territories and in emigration. The figure of famous Hutsul plastun Michael Gorbovy (1896 – 1941) is very interesting andmultidimensional. Indeed, it is a symbolic name in the history of Ukrainian scout organization. Hewas a member of many national public organizations. With his name economic and cooperativeactivities of "Plast" in Gutsulschina are connected. He was the organizer of craft departments of"Plast". The unicity of this disjoint person is expressed in his great love for Ukraine andresponsibility for its future. Gorbovy considered physical, moral and national-patriotic educationof children and youth as his main task. He strived to spread the idea of Ukrainian scouting amongwide groups of people. For this work on 22th of May, 1924 he was awarded with a plast title of ascoutmaster. Michael Gorbovy formed national consciousness, high spirituality, love of God andUkraine among youth for the "great aim" which is to build an independent Ukrainian nation.Experts qualify current spiritual and moral state of the Ukrainian society as "crisis". School isnot able to fill the educational vacuum which has appeared after the elimination of the Pioneer andKomsomol organizations. No new alternative children's institutions have been suggested. In such adifficult situation the experience of the activity of the Ukrainian scouting movement may be useful.Creative and practical achievements of "Plast" leaders as key figures and main carriers of the plast'seducational methods are especially important. These include a figure of the leader of the UkrainianScouting movement in Gutsulschina, Michael Gorbovy

The article presents an ecumenical education in the light of new core curricula for the religion education at schools and kindergartens. These documents were accepted and approved in 2018 and will take effect on the 1st of September of 2020. Currently one can see ongoing work on new series of workbooks. The aim was to notice and detect, whether or not, new documents and propositions within can inspire catechists and teachers to explore and become familiar with an ecumenical education. Goals and contents of the new Core curriculum of the religious education for the Catholic Church in Poland of 2018 for kindergartens and schools were carefully analysed, described and presented. It was done with the focus on ecumenical education. It was observed that the very idea of the ecumenism was treated lightly in aforementioned documents. The authors addressed this idea rarely and sparsely. Clear and concrete description of main foundations of the ecumenical formation were also not observed. The authors of analysed documents don’t put any stock in forming attitudes such as attitude of dialog, openness or respect, or so it seems. According to them, the main focus of religious education should be on history of the Church and general concepts and usual terms (i.e. divisions within the Church, attempts to undertake a dialog, etc.). All of these can create particular challenges and difficulties for those who work on new workbooks to include ecumenical education in its fullness.

Andrey Sheptytsky - Metropolitan of the Greek Catholic Church, belongs to the key figures of Ukrainian history of the first half of the twentieth century. Its influence on the spiritual and national-political life of Ukrainians of that time, the processes of crystallization of national consciousness, as well as on the sphere of practical politics, cannot be overestimated. A. Sheptytsky's life path is an object of constant attention of historians, but it would still be early to assert its full and comprehensive coverage. One of the debating issues in historiography remains the formation of national-political and religious views of the future Metropolitan. As you know, A. Sheptytsky was descended from the Polonized family, the process of his upbringing and education took place in the circle of Polish culture and national-state tradition. Already at adulthood, he made a conscious choice in favor of the Ukrainian Church and nation. The reasons and motives for this choice require a thorough study, taking into account the many factors that led it.

Palavras-chave: Relação Ciência-Religião, Galilei Galilei, Literatura infantil e juvenil Abstract The history of Science has shown a complex relation between Science and Religion. It has put in evidence how the borders between these two spheres have been changing throughout time, and has stated the importance of the historical contexts to understand the interplay between them. Indeed, neglecting these historical contexts increases the risk of creating artificialism or anachronism. The relation between Galileo and the Catholic Church is, among others, an exemplary case. In this case, and because this relation is approached in children and youth’s literature, it is important to reflect on how these books induce a vision of the relation Science-Religion. The aim of the study – to identify the type of relation Science-Religion covered in children and youth’s books published in Portugal about the life and work of Galileo Galilei – implies the use of a content analysis technique, in which a priori categories were defined and employed in a corpus of analysis composed by ten books. Data analysis shows that the books often cover a simplistic vision of the relation Science-Religion, which reinforce the popular perspective of permanent conflict. It is important to reflect on the relevance of exploring the relation Science-Religion in this type of books. This requires to have in consideration not only the complexity of the relations, the age and knowledge of the readers, but also the need to avoid covering deformed visions. Keywords: Relation Science-Religion, Galileo Galilei, Children and Youth ́s literature

Dramatic and theatrical performances have a long history of being used as tools to enhance development in children and youth. In pre-colonial times there were some forms of drama and theatre used by different communities in the socialisation of children. It is in the same vein that this article, through the Intwasa koBulawayo performances, seeks to evaluate how drama and theatre are used to nurture children and youth into different developmental facets of their lives. The only difference which this article will take into cognisance is that the performances are done in a different environment, which is not the one used in the pre-colonial times. Although these performances were like this, the most important factor is the idea that children and youth are socialised through these performances. It is also against this backdrop that children and youth are growing up in a globalised environment, hence the performances should accommodate people from all walks of life and teach them relevant issues pertaining to life as they live it now. Thus the main task of the article is to spell out the role of drama and theatre in the nurturing of children and youth through socio economic and political development in Intwasa koBulawayo festivals.

The article examines the main publications covering the centuries-old history of the Catholic Church in the lands of modern Bashkortostan, as well as partly affecting the interaction of local Catholic communities with coreligionists from other cities located in the South Urals, as well as in the Middle Volga region. Unfortunately, there are quite a few special studies on the history of this Christian denomination in our republic. Many works, in one way or another related to this issue, are of a general nature and contain a schematic listing of factual information, or are more devoted to the history of national communities, for which this religion is, to a certain extent, one of the most important elements of traditional ethnic culture. Here it is necessary to note, first of all, publications on the history of the Polish and German diaspora, which provide information about the participation of representatives of these communities in the creation of Catholic parishes and public associations associated with charity and education. At the same time, the significance of the confessional aspect is to a much lesser extent revealed in works on the history of Latvian immigrants from Latgale, Belarusians and Ukrainians from Volyn and Eastern Galicia, who, due to various circumstances, left their homes during the First World War, as well as other Catholic emigrants from Central and Western Europe, located in the Ufa province at the beginning of the XX century. In some articles on demography and striking features of social stratification, one can find indirect references to the presence of Catholics, but this information only It is noteworthy that most publications indicate the middle of the 17th century as the earliest dating of the appearance of believing Catholics in the South Urals, and evidence of missionary trips to the Eastern Hungarians during the 13th-15th centuries allows us to make hypothetical assumptions about their role in the life of the local religious community. It can be noted that the presence of a certain part of Catholics on the territory of Bashkiria during the 16th20th centuries. was associated with forced migration due to the fact that, as a result of military clashes, some of them were captured, as well as due to participation in activities that conflicted with the interests of the Russian leadership are considered, with a few exceptions, only in the context of the problem of the origin of the Bashkir people, most likely due to the modest results of the preaching.

The Catholic Church is naturally associated with migrants and its history and doctrine areinextricably linked with the migration of people. Many of the documents of the Catholic Church referto the history of human migration. The responsibility of the Catholic Church for migrants has deephistorical and theological roots. The Catholic Church sees both the positive and the negative sidesof this phenomenon The pastoral care of migrants is a response to the needs of these people. It doesnot replace the territorial structures. They both work closely together and complement each other. The primary objective of the pastoral care of migrants is to enable migrants to integrate with thelocal community. An important element of these structures are religious orders of men and women. The most important thing for migrants is the Christian attitude of the local community tothem. Church repeatedly stressed the importance of hospitality to migrants. Both human andChristian attitude towards migrants expresses itself in a good reception, which is the main factorin overcoming the inevitable difficulties, preventing opposites and solving various problems. Thisattitude helps to alleviate the problems associated with the process of social integration.
