AbstractIntroduction. The paper aims to identify and systematise basic psychological factors which can influence athletes’ training and competitive activity.Material and methods. In order to achieve the aim of the study, we carried out an expert survey and analysed its results statistically. The survey, whose concordance coefficient was 0.78, was completed by 12 experts in the field (sports scientists and highly qualified athletes).Results. The study of the scientific and methodological literature about psychological correction taking into account the practice of athletes’ training made it possible to formulate and systematise a number of key psychological factors (volitional, strategic, perceptive-aimed, anticipatory, managerial, psychophysiological, intellectual, introspective, and motivational) that affect the mental state and training process of athletes. The content and forms of the manifestation of psychological factors during competitive activity are examined, and their interrelations are studied. Integral indicators of psychological factors which influence competitive activity in Olympic sports are determined, and their priority of importance is examined.Conclusions. According to the experts’ opinions, among the integral indicators of the psychological factors influencing athletes’ activity, the leading ones are motivational, volitional, and psychophysiological factors. The results of the expert survey concerning the psychological factors influencing Olympic sports (game, cyclic, and complex coordination sports as well as martial arts) are analysed.

In the training of all-round track and field athletes there are basically two ways to achieve high athletic performance. The first one is the improvement and development of those basic skills, to which the athlete is more predisposed (to speed, strength, etc.). The essence of the second one lies in the fact that it is aimed at equal improvement of all physical abilities for mastering the events included in decathlon and heptathlon (sprint events, jump events, speed-strength events and endurance events). The athletic performance rates of Ukrainian all-rounders, participating at these competitions, are 400-800 points behind. The best place of the Ukrainian athlete Olexiy Kasyanov at the World Championship 2009 was third with 8470 points, and the worst 23rd place was taken by Fedir Laukhin (7652 points) at the Olympic Games 2000 in Sydney (Australia). The irregular participation of Ukrainian all-round athletes in the main sports forums (Olympic Games and world championships) shows that the system of training decathletes in our country does not meet the expected standards. It is possible to distinguish many reasons for such performances. In recent years they are associated with the fact that the leaders of decathletes traditionally don’t participate in the championships of Ukraine. So, all other athletes have no possibilities to compete with the strongest in this particular sport and to show their highest results. And this happens along with the absence of highly qualified coaches and conditions for the educational and training process.

During the training process before the competition, the athlete often shows a high result similar to, and sometimes exceeding, his previously achieved record. However, in the conditions of the following competitive activity, especially in tough sports competition, there is a decrease in effectiveness. This circumstance is often explained by a poor shape of a sportsman. While a more correct objective indicator of the decrease in effectiveness during the competition, as many experts claim, is the psycho-pedagogical mobilisation unpreparedness of an athlete. The aim of this research was to mobilise the strong-willed qualities of highly qualified swimmers, which allow a sportsman to demonstrate his or her best or equal to previously achieved sporting results during important competitions, involving psychological and pedagogical methods. During the implementation of this goal, methods helping to form person’s strongwilled qualities were used, including psychological and pedagogical methods. The results were obtained. They positively characterize applied psychological and pedagogical methods, which effectiveness was proved by the higher level of record achievements shown by the overwhelming majority of participants in the pedagogical experiment during the competitive activities implementation, as well as in the moral and volitional state rise when overcoming the competitive distance. It has been shown that the use of psychological and pedagogical activities together with autotraining contributes to the formation of an internal mood, the state of assemblage and eagerness to achieve one’s best result.

As a service-oriented industry, human resource plays a vital role in the hotel sector. Hotels need to provide efficient training to guarantee the human resource performs quality work which satisfies the customers. To improve training among employees and prevent changes in employees’ behaviour, the hotel sector needs to acknowledge the factors that impact the training effectiveness. This study was conducted to investigate the influence of work environment, individual factors, and training process on the effectiveness of human resource training programs in the hotel sector. Using The Datai Langkawi is a highly well-known resort in Malaysia, the study surveyed 45 employees who have attended the training program by distributing a questionnaire which is adopted and adapted from the Kirkpatrick and Kirkpatrick (2007) four levels of the evaluation training model. Three major hypotheses are developed and tested using regression analysis. The study indicates that all three factors significantly influenced the effectiveness of the training program in the hotel sector. Four variables in the work environment are found to be significant factors that influenced the effectiveness of the training program which are social support, opportunity to perform, reward system, and organizational culture. Similarly, the three variables in the individual factor which are ability, attitude, and motivation also derived as significant factors influencing the effectiveness of the training program. However, it is noted in the study that only training design derived as a significant factor influenced the effectiveness of the training program whilst training needs to be shown insignificant result as a factor influencing the effectiveness of training program in the hotel sector. The findings of the study, in conclusion, shows the importance for the hotel management to take into account the significant factors influencing the training program as they may lead as a motivator to the human resources of the hotel sector in performing their tasks.

Purpose: to reveal the features of the use of tactical actions by boxers of highly qualified women. Materials and methods: Theoretical analysis of information from the scientific and methodological literature and communication with the leading trainers of women in boxing made it possible to analyze the history of the development of women's boxing in the World, to determine the importance of tactical training for boxers and its content. Also during this research, we watched videos of the competitive activity of highly qualified female boxers in weight categories up to 51 kg. and up to 75 kg. Using the methods of pedagogical observation, chronometric observation and mathematical statistics made it possible to identify the peculiarities of tactics of competitive battle tactics in women boxers of high qualification. Results: At the present stage of the development of women's boxing, the world leader is the Russian team, the second is China, the third is India. Ukraine is not one of the top ten women's boxing teams in the World. Tactical training in women's boxing should be significantly different from the tactical training of male boxers. Women boxers of high qualification of lightweights can be related to tempo men, and women boxers of high qualification of heavyweights to gamers. However, it is difficult to related some women boxers of high qualification to any one of the listed types, since they are able to rearrange tactics during the match itself, if necessary. Conclusions: Modern tactical training in women's boxing is aimed at universalization, which is characterized by a variety of applied techniques and their frequent change. This fact makes increased demands on the quality of the technical training process in women's boxing.

The purpose of the research is to study the main approaches of coaches to planning the educational and training process of qualified female athletes specializing in complex types of all-around (multiathlon), taking into account the biorhythmological characteristics of their body. The set of methods used to solve the assigned tasks included: theoretical analysis and generalization of scientific and methodological literature data; questionnaire, pedagogical observation and methods of statistical processing of the obtained material. Results. It was determined that more than 50% of coaches working with athletes in all-around sports do not take into account, or partially take into account the peculiarities of the course of the OMC (ovarian-menstrual cycle). About 90% of specialists carry out training sessions in the menstrual phase of the OMC and dose the training loads intuitively or according to the direct desire of the athlete. The volume and intensity of the load is adjusted only in the menstrual phase, less often in the premenstrual phase. In the menstrual phase, specialists use cyclic exercises at the Anaerobic Exchange Threshold (AET) level, exercises that develop flexibility, exercises of a general physical orientation. In this phase of the OMC, there is a decrease in the results in speed-strength and complex coordination types of all-round events. Conclusions. The conducted questionnaire survey and our own pedagogical observations indicate that the individualized approach is not fully used in the training system of qualified female athletes specializing in the types of complex multi-events. Experts do not take into account the factors associated with the characteristics of health, performance and emotional state of athletes in different phases of the biorhythm of their bodies, which negatively affects sports results and health of athletes. Key words: optimization, training process, planning individualization, load, biological characteristics.
