It has often been said that tennis is very good in attracting new players, but less effective in helping them continue their sports activity, as there are many reasons why those who practise tennis abandon it. In classical tennis, the learning process takes place over several years, being a long-lasting activity (6 -8 years). Tennis 10 is a program that was created and implemented by the International Tennis Federation (ITF) in the early 2000s as part of a campaign called "Tennis Play And Stay". It was officially released in February 2007 and its purpose was to increase the practice of tennis throughout the world. The Tennis Play and Stay campaign aimed at promoting tennis as a sports game easy to play, good to have fun and keep people healthy and making sure that all beginner players could serve and hit the ball from the first lesson. Through this work we have discovered that the means used in Tennis 10 are perceived as superior by the specialists in Romania, compared to the standard methodology in developing physical, technical, tactical training and in the initiation of athletes in the competitive environment.

Abstract Background To handle the competition demands, sparring drills are used for specific technical–tactical training as well as physical–physiological conditioning in combat sports. While the effects of different area sizes and number of within-round sparring partners on physiological and perceptive responses in combats sports were examined in previous studies, technical and tactical aspects were not investigated. This study investigated the effect of different within-round sparring partners number (i.e., at a time; 1 vs. 1, 1 vs. 2, and 1 vs. 4) and area sizes (2 m × 2 m, 4 m × 4 m, and 6 m × 6 m) variation on the technical–tactical aspects of small combat games in kickboxing. Method Twenty male kickboxers (mean ± standard deviation, age: 20.3 ± 0.9 years), regularly competing in regional and national events randomly performed nine different kickboxing combats, lasting 2 min each. All combats were video recorded and analyzed using the software Dartfish. Results Results showed that the total number of punches was significantly higher in 1 versus 4 compared with 1 versus 1 (p = 0.011, d = 0.83). Further, the total number of kicks was significantly higher in 1 versus 4 compared with 1 versus 1 and 1 versus 2 (p < 0.001; d = 0.99 and d = 0.83, respectively). Moreover, the total number of kick combinations was significantly higher in 1 versus 4 compared with 1 versus 1 and 1 versus 2 (p < 0.001; d = 1.05 and d = 0.95, respectively). The same outcome was significantly lower in 2 m × 2 m compared with 4 m × 4 m and 6 m × 6 m areas (p = 0.010 and d = − 0.45; p < 0.001 and d = − 0.6, respectively). The number of block-and-parry was significantly higher in 1 versus 4 compared with 1 versus 1 (p < 0.001, d = 1.45) and 1 versus 2 (p = 0.046, d = 0.61) and in 2 m × 2 m compared with 4 m × 4 m and 6 × 6 m areas (p < 0.001; d = 0.47 and d = 0.66, respectively). Backwards lean actions occurred more often in 2 m × 2 m compared with 4 m × 4 m (p = 0.009, d = 0.53) and 6 m × 6 m (p = 0.003, d = 0.60). However, the number of foot defenses was significantly lower in 2 m × 2 m compared with 6 m × 6 m (p < 0.001, d = 1.04) and 4 m × 4 m (p = 0.004, d = 0.63). Additionally, the number of clinches was significantly higher in 1 versus 1 compared with 1 versus 2 (p = 0.002, d = 0.7) and 1 versus 4 (p = 0.034, d = 0.45). Conclusions This study provides practical insights into how to manipulate within-round sparring partners' number and/or area size to train specific kickboxing technical–tactical fundamentals. Trial registration This study does not report results related to health care interventions using human participants and therefore it was not prospectively registered.

The traditional distributed tactical training simulation system is limited by the availability and bandwidth of military network transmission channel and does not have the feasibility of remote interconnection and spatial sub-regional deployment. In this paper, a new communication method of distributed tactical training simulation system is proposed to solve the problem of strong business coupling between nodes and system availability under the condition of low bandwidth. The operator of federated exchange, federated queue and their concepts and design requirements are firstly proposed, and the inverted tree, triangle, ring exchange topology and circular queue structure are further constructed. Theoretically, the expected goal of high-speed interworking between nodes in the cluster and high reliable transmission between clusters is realized. The example also shows that this method can significantly improve the throughput of single switching node and federated node after using reliability confirmation mechanism.

According to the results of the analysis of scientific-methodical, special and reference literature (monitoring of Internet sources) it is established, that the issue of analytical and statistical review (comparative analysis) of technical and tactical training of judokas and highly qualified judokas is devoted to the insufficient number of scientific and methodological works, which requires further research and emphasizes the relevance and practical component of the chosen area of scientific research. The main purpose of the study is to conduct a comparative analysis of the technical and tactical arsenal of highly qualified male and female judokas (champions and winners of the XXXII Summer Olympic Games 2020, Tokyo, Japan). In the process of research and analytical work, the following methods of theoretical research were used: axiomatic, idealization, historical and logical, convergence from the specific, formalization (mathematical and statistical), and so on. As a result of the study, members of the research group conducted a comparative analysis of the technical and tactical arsenal of highly qualified male and female judokas (champions and winners of the XXXII Summer Olympic Games 2020, Tokyo, Japan). In order to increase the effectiveness of competitive activities of Ukrainian athletes (men and women) who specialize in judo at different stages of their long-term training, it is advisable to focus the attention of leading coaches on the development of appropriate training programs (pedagogical models) that provide: perfect mastering by Judoists of theoretical aspects of current rules of judo; increasing the number and variety of attacking and defensive techniques; increasing the coefficient of reliability of technical and tactical actions (combinations); development of tactile sensitivity and coordination; formation of high psychophysical readiness for long-term competitive activity (high training loads), etc.

This pandemic of COVID-19 has a major impact on people's lives, and several governments ordered extended quarantine and requested social isolation to contain the spread of COVID-19 and flatten its contagion curve. Soccer practice was also severely affected by these pandemic effects, including the postponement of several championships, which involve large audiences. In Brazil, the professional leagues restart the official matches (e.g., Brazilian National Fourth, Third, Second, and First Divisions Leagues). However, some youth academies have not yet restarted their professional activities. Therefore, home-based training can be a good option in these cases. Here, we outline the benefits of home workouts using a multidimensional approach. First, we provide practical recommendations for physical, psychological, and tactical training. Next, we propose an example of a home training program spanning one weekly microcycle for soccer players, using load control based on the rating of perceived exertion. We highlighted that is crucial to make all these exercises fun and entertaining during the self-isolation period. The home training recommendations discussed and proposed in this research can and should be adjusted by the coaches according to their own ideas and athletes' access to equipment (e.g., treadmills, flywheel training, virtual reality).

Background: Scoring first seems to be a determinant in professional football playing; several factors could influence the development of the match and the outcome. This study aimed to identify which factors could influence scoring first and impact match outcomes in professional European female football. Methods: There were 504 official matches held on 74 match days during the 2018–2019 professional female European football seasons (Primera Iberdrola, D1 Féminine, and Frauen-Bundesliga), analysed using a notational and inferential assessment. Results: There was a direct positive relationship (p < 0.05) between scoring first and winning the match; 75.9% of the winning teams scored first. Moreover, those teams that usually scored first had a better final league classification (p < 0.05). These relationships were not influenced by home or away conditions. Conclusions: Scoring first is a determinant in the outcomes of professional European female football matches. Physical and tactical training and programming should focus on those variables, leading female teams to score first.

The purpose of the study is to increase the effectiveness of physical and technical training of young handball players aged 10-11 by means of moving games, game exercises and relays at the stage of initial training during the pedagogical experiment in 2020-2021. Methodology. The following methods were used in the study: theoretical analysis and generalization of scientific and methodological literature, control and pedagogical checking (tests), pedagogical observations, anthropometry. Statistical processing of experimental data was performed using the statistical processing package STATGRAPHICS Plus for Windows (according to standard methods). The study involved young handball players aged 10-11, the first and second year of training in sport school №3 in Kharkiv during a year. The technique was implemented for 9 months (74 lessons), 3 times a week, and lasting 20 minutes. Results. We claim that the physical fitness of handball players is closely related to various aspects of training. The selected tests fully characterize the physical development and functional state of the main life support systems of a body and allow determining the effectiveness of the proposed authors’ method. The specially selected combinations with the use of moving games, game exercises and relays help to increase the level of technical training of young handball players. Analysis of the final indicators in the experimental group revealed a significant increase corresponding to the 5% level of significance in terms of execution of free throws and movement in the protective rack of the handball player. The average group values of the accuracy of free throws increased by 49.5%, and the average speed of movement in the protective rack of a handball player after the experiment increased by 8.3%. The rate of transfer of the ball to the wall in the experimental group increased by 25.1%, which indicates a significant increase in the result at P <0,01. Conclusion. The results obtained during the experiment confirmed the effectiveness of our developed methods of training with the purposeful use of moving games, game exercises and relay races at the initial stage of training young handball players.
