The 2020 pandemic affected the economic sector, including banking sector, especially banks in the BUKU 1 category. This study aims to identify internal factors that affect bank profitability between normal conditions in 2019 and conditions when economic growth experienced a contraction due to the pandemic in 2020. This study is based on the theory of Asset-Liability Management (ALM) and uses multiple linear regression method with ROA as a measure of profitability, LDR, BOPO, and CAR as independent variables, and NPL as quasi moderator. The results of this study provide findings that to maintain profitability, banks need to pay attention to cost efficiency which is reinforced by the risk of bad loans. Meanwhile, in unstable conditions, there are additional liquidity risk factor that must also receive attention. Thus, the results of this study are in line with the liability management approach. Keywords : Bank profitability; Normal Condition, Contraction of Economic Growth.

This study aims to analyze the Factors Affecting Non-Oil and Gas Commodity Exports in Indonesia in 1985-2017. The data used in this study are secondary data obtained from www.bps.go.id. The method used to analyze the relationship between the independent variables and the dependent variable is the multiple linear regression method. The results of the study partially showed that economic growth had a positive and significant effect on the exports of non-oil and gas commodities in Indonesia, the exchange rate and inflation did not affect the exports of non-oil and gas commodities in Indonesia. Simultaneously, the rate of economic growth and inflation had a positive and significant effect on non-oil and gas commodity exports in Indonesia.

Abstract The United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 7 emphasizes the need for economies around the world to double their efforts in energy efficiency improvements. This is because improvements in energy efficiency can trigger economic growth and considered as one of the ‘green’ growth strategies due to its carbon free content. To this end, some empirical studies have investigated the nexus between economic growth and energy efficiency, but the effects of the latter on financial indicators have not been sufficiently studied in the literature, at least in developing economies like Africa. This study examines the effect of energy efficiency improvements on commercial bank profitability under different political regimes (i.e., autocratic and democratic political regimes); something previous literature had neglected. The study uses panel data, consisting of 43 African countries and the simultaneous System Generalized Method of Moments. We found that energy efficiency improvement is more likely to induce higher bank profitability in political institutions with the characteristics of centralization of power compared with those with decentralization of power. Furthermore, for the banking sector, the findings suggest that energy utilization behavior of clients should be included in the loan or credit valuation process. For the government, the agenda of energy efficiency should be aggressively pursued while taking cognizance of creating a political environment that weans itself from a ‘grandfathering’ behavior.

The research problem is “how the motivation influence, supervision and work culture toward productivity of civil servant sub-district head Lueng Bata Banda Aceh district. To prove the hypothesis that is used multiple linear regression method with independent variables are motivation, supervision, work culture and the dependent variable is productivity and with degree of confidence 5%, the third of independent variables have influence significantly, either partial t-test or F-test. R2 value 0.727 that means 72,7% changing productivy can explain by contribution of  motivation variables, supervision and work culture toward the work productivity, and 27,3% can explain by other variables outside model. Keywords: motivation, supervision, culture work, productivity

This study aims to 1) Analyze the pattern of changes in commodity prices for spanish pepper in Malang District. 2) Analyzing the factors that influence fluctuations in the price of spanish pepper in Malang District. The research method used is quantitative method that uses secondary data in the form of time series obtained from several related agencies, namely the Central Statistics Agency of Malang District, Department of Industry and Trade, and Department of food crops, horticulture, and plantation in Malang District. Analysis of the data used is multiple linear regression with the dependent variable is the price at the consumer level from 2009-2018, while the independent variables use the data of the price of spanish pepper at the producer level, the amount of production, and the amount of consumption from 2009-2018. The study found that: 1) The development of the price of spanish pepper had a trend that tended to increase during the last 10 years. 2) From the results of data processing using multiple linear regression method with Eviews 9.0 application, it is found that the factor that significantly influences changes in the price of spanish pepper is the price at the producer level, while the amount of production of spanish pepper and the number of requests does not significantly affect the change in spanish pepper prices in Malang District.

This study is carried out with the purpose of determining the correlational-causal relationship between the variables sustainable economic development, equitable social development, efficient and participatory institutional development and technology, for this the following methodology was developed: a quantitative study, with a non-experimental design, of transectional cut. The measurement instrument used was the questionnaire, consisting of three independent and one dependent variables, with 71 questions. Each construct contains a series of items that are related to the variable to be measured. The statistical methods that were considered the most appropriate for the analysis of the data collected were: cronbach's alpha, to measure the reliability of the instrument and; the multiple linear regression method for checking the model. The results obtained show that there is a positive relationship between the variables and, with the ANOVA test it was possible to verify that the three independent variables proposed in the theoretical model are statistically significant, since they have a significance level of 0.000, therefore it is considered relevant. The contribution of this research lies in granting the input of strategies to the authorities of the surveyed municipality to help improve their economic conditions.

A number of studies have investigated the relationship between financial sector development and economic growth; however, the impact of bank profitability on economic growth is still unclear. We investigate the link between bank profitability and economic growth in the Asia-Pacific region over the period 2004–2014. Using the system GMM estimator, our findings suggest that a profitable banking sector is a prerequisite for economic growth in the Asia-Pacific region and that the impact of bank profitability on economic growth is more prominent in small banking sectors. Perhaps surprisingly, we found that the bank size has a negative impact on GDP growth, with the influence of bank profitability on economic growth reducing as the size of the banking sector increases. Our results also show that the impact of profitability on economic growth is much larger in developed economies compared to small emerging and large emerging economies.
