This study discusses about development of regional tourism through the development of human resources Gorontalo, Sulawesi. The master plan for tourism development in Gorontalo stated that Gorontalo has three areas of community-based tourism development and eight excellent tourist attractions. It was realised that human resources has an important role in the general development as well the development of regional tourism. The approach used in this research is descriptive qualitative, data source obtained from field observation, interview, group discussion and documentation. Local governments have encouraged the development of regional tourism, especially destinations that are around the community through the empowerment of surrounding communities in order to manage the destination well. In order for all aspects of tourism management to run properly it is necessary role of local government in giving encourage and support education field of tourism. So it can fill the shorted of expert workforce to be placed on institutions or tourism related industries.

Puru Beach has the potential to attract tourists to visit. But lack of adequate facilities, poor road access, no attractive tourist attractions, minimal Human Resources (HR) managers, and no active role of local government so that it becomes problems to development of Puru Beach. The purpose of this research is to determine the community based tourism development strategy in Puru Beach. This research used a qualitative research method with the technique of taking informants using purposive sampling technique. Data collections in this research used primary data sources and secondary data sources. Data collection techniques carried out by observation, interviews, literature studies, and documentation studies. The analytical tool used to formulate community based tourism development strategies on Puru Beach is SWOT Analysis by looking at internal factors (strengths and weaknesses) and external factors (opportunities and threats) that exist in Puru Beach. Based on the results of the SWOT analysis community based tourism development strategies in Puru Beach can be formulated to make Puru Beach a Sport Tourism, increase promotional media through social media, increase human resources (HR), add supporting facilities, encouraging local governments to improve road access, collaborating with local governments, optimizing tourism awareness groups on Puru Beach, and maintaining cultural values.

Special interest tourism is one of the forms of attraction development recommended in the Regional Tourism Development Master Plan (RIPDA) of Bandung Regency. Therefore, realizing the special interest attraction of interest in Kampung Batu Malakasari destination is the most appropriate strategy in the development of the next destination. This article discusses how the strategy in developing Kampung Batu Malakasari to become a special interest tourist attraction. using qualitative studies and SWOT analysis resulted in several recommendations related to the strategy of developing special interest interest in Kampung Batu Malakasari, are: 1) Packaging special interest attractiveness; 2) Presenting geo-tourism based education (geowisata); 3) Provide staff training as a natural and cultural interpreter; 5) Improve accessibility to increase tourist comfort; 6) Involving citizens in tourism management with the concept of community-based tourism management.

Banda Islands, also known as the "Spice Islands", is a group of spice-producing islands located in central Maluku District. The Banda Islands are included in the UNESCO tentative list as the World Heritage Centre with the criteria (iv), (vi), (x). Banda islands are also included in the National Tourism Destination (DPN) Maluku province and one of the National Tourism Development Area of Indonesia (KPPN). Banda Islands as a tourist destination has been known for a long time because of the diversity of attractions. However, in its development, tourism in the Banda islands has not shown significant results in the last decade. The management of the Banda Islands tourism involves many actors both from the government, private and community sectors. This study was conducted to find out 1) the development of the Banda Islands Tourism Management, 2) identify the participating stakeholders, 3) know the role of each stakeholders and 4) describe the collaboration between stakeholders in Banda Islands Tourism Management. This research uses qualitative methods, primary data collection is done by observation, interviews and Focus Group Discussion (FGD). The selection of respondents in the interview is determined purposive sampling based on consideration and capacity in the tourism management of Banda District. The data analysis technique used in this study is a qualitative descriptive analysis used to qualitatively describe the data obtained from the research site. The results shows that 1) Coordination between stakeholders has not been well so that the role of each stakeholder in tourism management has not shown maximum results, 2) The role of the private sector is too . so that the tourism development carried out by the public sector has not worked well.

This article aims to describe the development of CBT in Kulon Progo and obstacles faced. The method used descriptive qualitative design with Research and Development (R and D) from Borg and Gall (1998). The technique of collecting data used interviews, observation, documentation and Focus Group Discussion (FGD). Data were analyzed using interactive analysis Miles and Huberman. The study found that some strategies may be taken in the development of CBT: to see, to do, to buy, to share, to empower and to sustain of all agriculture, economics and social-cultural potentials in Kulon Progo. Moreover, in implementing CBT, there are steps should be considered as follows: understanding all potentials and resources, establishing CBT’s management, and integrating roles of all stakeholders. However, there are several hindrances in the implementation model that needs to be taken by the manager of CBT in Kulon Progo are: 1). Un-sufficient budget; 2) the lack of human resources; 3) un-readiness of community in viewing the importance of tourism management; 4) the lack of support from private sectors; 5) lack of infrastructure.Keywords: CBT, Strategy, and Empowerment

The paper deals with the coastal tourism in Iran and the United Arab Emirates by identifying the impact of tourist attractions on the development of coastal tourism in both countries, and the role of coastal tourism (beach, landscape, etc.) in attracting tourists in the two countries. In the present study, we investigated the environmental-ecological, socio-cultural, historical-political, economic, institutional-managerial and physical-spatial dimensions of the study area. The topicality of this work is the industrial tourism development. It will allow to enhance the economic potential of the regions, increase the flow of "domestic tourists» and improve the competitiveness of enterprises in the Region. It has been studied the prospects of industrial tourism development for students of universities in Russia and directly in the Lipetsk region at the present stage of development of the machine- and lathe-building industry.

There Improvements in the local economy, especially for the poor through open and sustainable tourism management, are believed to be achieved through the empowerment of the tourism sector. Mapping the potential of village tourism in the Triharjo village area is one of the essential things. Identification and mapping of village tourism potential needed in order to implementation community-based tourism (CBT). This research aims to identifying and mapping the potential of village tourism in order to produce a profile of village tourism potential and identify opportunities for developing village tourism potential. The object of this study is Triharjo village, Pandak District, Bantul Regency, Yogyakarta. This research was conducted with a qualitative approach. Collecting data in this study used several research instruments, such as in-depth interviews, focus group discussions (FGD), observations, and document studies. Based on research finding while the communities and local governments of Triharjo village recognize that not all village tourism potentials are well managed. The results of the mapping of village tourism potential provide them that the involvement of local communities in the planning and management of a village tourism potential is needed and have a positive impact on the longterm. The empowerment of the local economy, especially the poor, is believed to be achieved through the empowerment of the tourism sector. Community-based tourism emphasizes community ownership and active participation, provides education to local communities, promotes and protection of culture and the environment.

Agricultural sector as a main contributor to GDP formation in West Sumatera is required to be able to diversify its business in order to highest achieving economic and social development. One diversified agricultural business prospective to be developed is agro-tourism. The development of agro-tourism requires collaboration and synergy between academician, businessman and government as known as triple helix actors. This study is designed with aim to (i) map the agro-tourism potential in west Sumatera; (ii) analyze the role of each actors, so they may take action in accelerating Agro-tourism development. This research uses observation, depth interview method, literature study and focus group discussion. The result shows that agro-tourism in West Sumatra is more prominent of great natural and cultural value, small scale and lack of local facilities. It also requires relatively high level of investment relative to its return. Therefore government support is likely an essential element of agro-tourism development and the effort may be better directed toward consolidating with intellectual and business also.
