Research on the response of growth of pepper cuttings (Piper nigrum. L) Malonan I to the composition of the planting media and the number of segments aims to determine the effect of the composition of the planting media and the number of segments on the growth of pepper cuttings. The study was conducted for 12 weeks (3 months) from October 2019 - January 2020. The research was carried out in the Agrotechnology Experimental Garden at Widya Gama Mahakam University Samarinda. This research uses factorial randomized block design with 2 factors and is repeated 3 times. The first factor is the number of segments (R) consisting of 3 levels, namely, R1 = 1 segment, R2 = 2 segments, R3 = 3 segments The second factor is the growing media (P) consisting of 3 levels, namely: P0 = Top soil (control) , P1 = Top soil + rice husk with a ratio of 3: 1, P2 = Top soil + cow manure with a ratio of 3: 1, P3 = Top soil + rice husk + cow manure. Expected output is to provide information about the best planting media for the growth of Malonan I pepper cuttings for the community. Provide information about the best number of segments for the growth of Malonan I pepper cuttings for the community.

Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh media tanam dan jumlah ruas serta interaksi keduanya terhadap pertumbuhan setek tanaman lada. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di halaman asrama mahasiswa Langsa Banda Aceh dan Laboratorium Fisiologi Tumbuhan Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Syiah Kuala Banda Aceh yang berlangsung sejak Juli hingga Oktober 2019. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok pola faktorial 4 x 3 terdapat 2 faktor yaitu media tanam dan jumlah ruas. Media tanam dengan 4 taraf perlakuan yaitu tanah, tanah + bokashi, tanah + pupuk kandang, dan tanah + bokashi + pupuk kandang dan jumlah ruas dengan 3 taraf perlakuan yaitu beruas 1, 2 dan 3. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media tanam berpengaruh nyata terhadap tinggi tunas, diameter tunas, dan jumlah daun. Perlakuan media tanam terbaik ditemukan pada media tanah + pupuk kandang. Perlakuan jumlah ruas berpengaruh nyata terhadap tinggi tunas dan jumlah daun namun tidak berpengaruh nyata pada diameter tunas. Jumlah ruas terbaik ditemukan pada ruas 1 dan 2. Terdapat interaksi antara perlakuan media tanam dan jumlah ruas terhadap pertumbuhan setek tanaman lada yang berpengaruh nyata terhadap tinggi tunas, diameter tunas, dan jumlah daun. Kombinasi terbaik dijumpai pada interaksi antara media tanam tanah + pupuk kandang dan jumlah ruas 1 dan 2. Effect of Planting Media and Number of Segments on Growth of Cuttings of Pepper (Piper nigrum L.)Abstract. This study aims to determine the effect of the planting media and the number of segments and their interactions on the growth of pepper cuttings. This research was held in the yard of Langsa student dormitory in Banda Aceh and the Plant Physiology Laboratory of Agriculture Faculty, Syiah Kuala University, Banda Aceh on July to September 2019. This research used a factorial randomized block design with 2 treatments, there are planting media and the number of segments. Planting media with 4 kinds of treatment there are soil, soil + bokashi, soil + manure, and soil + bokashi + manure and the number of segments with 3 kinds of treatment there are segment 1, segment 2 and segment 3. The results of the research showed that the planting media had a significant effect on height buds, buds diameter, and number of leaves. The best growing media founded in soil + manure media. Meanwhile the number of segments significantly affected on height buds and number of leaves, but did not significantly affect on buds diameter. The best number of segments founded on sections 1 and 2. There was an interaction between the planting media and the number of segments on the growth of pepper cuttings that significantly affected on height buds, buds diameter, and number of leaves. The best interaction founded in the interaction between soil + manure planting media and the number of sections 1 and 2.

This study aims to determine the growth response and yield of chrysanthemum plants in the application of several types of mulch and organic fertilizer. This research uses the basic design of Randomized Block Design with the factorial pattern with 2 factors and 3 replications. The first factor is mulch treatment consisting of 3 levels ie without mulch, rice husk mulch, and black silver plastic mulch. The second factor is organic fertilizer consists of 3 levels namely petrogenic, cow manure and chicken manure. The research results showed that the highest weight of flower stalk was obtained in silver black mulch treatment, increase of 9.63% when compared with the weight of the lowest flower stalk. The highest economic fresh weight was obtained in mulch treatment, increase of 17.53% when compared with the lowest fresh economic weight on mulch rice husk mulch treatment weighing. The highest weight of the flower stalk was obtained in the treatment of cow manure, increased of 10.14% when compared with the lowest weight of the flower stalk obtained in the treatment of cow manure weighing. The highest economic fresh weight was obtained in the cow manure treatment, which increased by 9.91% when compared with the lowest fresh economic interest weight obtained in the treatment of petrogenic fertilizer weighing. Growth of FHIA-17 Banana Seedlings with the Application of Hijauan Paitan Fertilizer (Titonia Diversifolia) and Cow Manure. The aim of this study was to obtain data on the growth of FHIA-17 banana seedlings after application of T.diversifolia forage and cow manure. Using a factorial Randomized Block Design (CRD) with two treatment factors. The first factor is the forage dose of T. diversifolia (P) with 5 levels, P0=Control; P1=12.5 g kg-1 planting medium (equivalent to 5 tons ha-1); P2=25 g kg-1 planting medium (equivalent to 10 tons ha-1); P3=37.5 g / kg of planting media (equivalent to 15 tons ha-1); P4=50 g kg-1 of growing media (equivalent to 20 tons ha-1). The second factor is the dose of cow manure (K) with 5 treatment levels namely, K0=Control; P1=12.5 g kg-1 of growing media (equivalent to 5 tons ha-1); K2=25 g kg-1 of growing media (equivalent to 10 tons ha-1); K3= 37.5 g kg-1 of growing media (equivalent to 15 tons ha-1); K4=50 g kg-1 planting medium (equivalent to 20 tons ha-1 and repeated 2 (two) times. Observed parameters were plant height (cm), number of leaves, stem circumference (mm), plant wet weight (g), plant dry weight (g). The results of this study indicate that the application of forage T. diversifolia significantly affected plant height and number of leaves. It’s not real with respect to all observational parameters.

This study aimed to determine the effect of rice husk ash on yield and growth of peanut plants. This research has been carried out in the experimental garden of the Faculty of Agriculture of the Islamic University of Indragiri Tembilahan, Tembilahan Hulu District, Indragiri Hilir Regency. The time of the study began from April to July 2017. This research was a field trial using the Randomized Block Design (RBD) method which consisted of 6 levels of treatment, they are; without rice husk ash, 1 ton/ha of rice husk ash, 2 tons/ha of rice husk ash, 3 tons/ha of rice husk, 4 tons/ha ash rice husk ash, and 5 tons/ha of rice husk ash. Each treatment was repeated three times to obtain 18 trial plots in the field. Data of this study were analyzed using Analysis of Variance (ANOVA). The results showed that the administration of rice husk ash with various treatment doses, had a significant influence on the growth and yield of peanut plants. The treatment that has the best effect on the growth and yield of peanut plants has been found, which is an average of 3 tons/ha and 5 tons/ha.

The productivity of banana, as priority fruit, is still low due to lack of good quality seedling. The research aim was to know the effect of chitosan application, mixed media and an interaction between mixed media with the chitosan on seedling growth of “raja bulu” banana. The research designed was a complete randomized block design with two factors. The first factor was the mixed soil, cow manure and rice husk charcoal and the second factor was chitosan at a concentration of 0, 2, 4, 6, and 8 ml L-1. Observed parameters were height, diameter, leaf number and biomass of seedling. The chitosan concentration at 4 ml L-1 gave the highest growth on the height (41.2 cm), leaf number (4.2 leaf plant-1) and dry weight (5.44 gr plant-1) raja bulu banana seedling. The mixed media of soil, cow manure with rice husk charcoal resulted in the highest growth of seedling height (46.6 cm), leaf number (5.2 leaf plant-1), dry weight (5.4 gr plant-1).  Both chitosan applications and mixed media did not give significantly effect on the seedling diameter. The interaction between the mixture media with the application of chitosan did not significantly different on vegetative growth and seedling biomass.

Growth and yield response Gladiolus flowers (Gladiolus Hibridus) against the use of growing media and fertilizers Saputra Nutrient. This study aims to determine Saputra Nutrient fertilizer use and the use of growing media on growth and yield of flowers gladiolus (Gladiolus hibridus). The research was conducted from April to July 2010. The study was conducted in North Samarinda. This study uses a randomized block design (RAK) with a 4 x 3 factorial experiment consisted of three replications. The first factor is the use of a planting medium that consists of three levels ie: m1 (top soil), m2 (top soil + manure + husk), m3 (top soil + manure + sand), the second factor is the use of fertilizers Saputra Nutrient consisting of 4 levels ie: p0 levels (without fertilizer), p1 (1 tablespoon powder + 3 tablespoons liquid + 7.5 liters of water), p2 (1 tablespoon powder + 3 tablespoons liquid + 5.0 liters of water), and p3 (1 spoon 3 tablespoons of powder + liquid + 2.5 liters of water). The results showed that the use of the planting medium significantly affected all parameters of the study except the number of leaves at 15 days after planting. Treatment m1 (top soil) showed the largest number of flowers cropping 13.96 florets. The results showed that the use of fertilizers Saputra Nutrient significantly affected all parameters except the current study appear shoots number of leaves at 15 days after planting. Treatment p2 (1 tablespoon powder + 3 tablespoons liquid + 5.0 liters of water), showed the largest amount of 14.00 florets florets. Interaction of growing media and fertilizer use Saputra Nutrient no real effect on all parameters of observation.

Sweet potatoes are an alternative source of carbohydrates that have high nutritional content. Development of sweet potato cultivation methods needs to be done to overcome the decrease of productive agricultural land due to land conversion. This study aimed to test the effect of differences in the composition of the growing media on the growth, yield, and quality of sweet potato. This study was a pot experiment using a Randomized Block Design (RBD) with 7 treatments and 5 replications. The types of treatments tested were P0: 100% soil + inorganic fertilizer; P1: 50% soil + 50% cow manure; P2: soil 50% + vermicompost 50%; P3: soil 50% + biochar rice husk 25%, cow manure 25%, P4: soil 50% + biochar rice husk 25% + vermicompost 25%, P5: soil 50% + cocopeat 25% + cow manure 25%, P6: soil 50% + cocopeat 25% + vermicompost 25%. The research results showed that the composition of the growing medium significantly affected plant growth and yield. The results of the statistical analysis showed that the treatments of P4 and P6 gave the highest growth, while the high yield of fresh weight of tubers per pot were found in the treatments P1, P2, P3, and P4 by 165.59 g, 143.38 g, 171.56 g, and 144.80 g, respectively. The highest number of tubers was found in treatment P6 by 7.66 tubers. The highest yield of dry matter was also found in treatments P1, P2, P3, and P4  by 59.91 g, 51.73 g, 59.02 g, and 48.59 g, respectively. Based on the research results, it can be recommended that the cultivation of sweet potato plants in pots can be carried out using porous growing media in a container that is sufficient and available balanced nutrients for the development of plant tubers.Keywords: Vermicompost, composition of growing media, Sweet Potatoes, Yield, Quality

This study was aimed at determining the effect of seed coating using Trichoderma sp. and applying bokashi to increase soybean yields. The study was carried out in the Ciparanje experimental garden of Padjadjaran University in Jatinangor in April to July 2017. The design used in this study was a Randomized Block Design which was repeated three times. The soybean seeds used are Anjasmoro varieties. Tricho-G as a source of Trichoderma sp. was used as a seed coating material. Bokashi cow manure and the soil used were from paddy fields. Other ingredients used were Urea, SP-36, KCl, and pesticides with the active ingredient Profenofos. The step of the research is bokashi application, seed coating, storage, planting, fertilizer application, and observation. The results show that the combination of seed coating using Trichoderma sp. and bokashi application had an effect on increasing the number and weight of seeds per plant. Coating of seeds with Trichoderma sp. low doses can still maintain plant growth and has a positive effect on crop yields.PENGARUH PELAPISAN BENIH TrichoDERMA SP. DAN PEMBERIAN BOKASHI TERHADAP HASIL PANEN KEDELAIPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pelapis benih menggunakan Tricho-derma sp. dan pemberian bokashi terhadap peningkatan hasil panen kedelai. Penelitian dilaksanakan di kebun percobaan Ciparanje Universitas Padjadjaran Jatinangor pada bulan April sampai dengan Juli 2017. Rancangan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu Rancangan Acak Kelompok yang diulang tiga kali. Benih kedelai yang digunakan yaitu varietas Anjasmoro. Tricho-G sebagai sumber Trichoderma sp. digunakan sebagai bahan pelapis benih. Pupuk Bokashi kotoran sapi dan tanah yang digunakan berasal dari tanah sawah. Bahan-bahan lain yang digunakan yaitu pupuk Urea, SP-36, KCl, dan pestisida dengan bahan aktif  Profenofos. Langkah penelitian yang dilakukan adalah pemberian bokashi, pelapisan benih, penyimpanan, penanaman, pemupukan, dan pengamatan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa kombinasi pelapisan benih menggunakan Trichoderma sp. dan pemberian bokashi berpengaruh dalam meningkatkan jumlah dan bobot biji per tanaman. Pelapisan benih dengan Trichoderma sp. dosis rendah masih dapat mempertahankan pertumbuhan tanaman dan memberikan pengaruh yang positif terhadap hasil tanamaN

Onions Tiwai is one plant in Borneo forest used by people as a traditional medicine. One of the efforts to support increased production of onions tiwai is through the cultivation of technology media including by the use of appropriate planting and the provision of the Micro Organisms Local (MOL). The aim of research to know the influence of MOL conch mas on growth and yield of onion tiwai and to determine the best planting medium for the growth and production of onions tiwai. The study was conducted over four months starting from nursery seedlings until harvest. This study uses a randomized block design (RBD) with a 4 x 4 factorial experiment consisting of three replications. The first factor is the Growing Media which comprises four levels: ie m0 (Control), m1 (Topsoil and sand), m2 (Topsoil and Rice Husk) and m3 (Topsoil, Rice Husk and Sand). The second factor is the concentration of microorganisms Local (MOL) snails consists of four levels ie p0 (control) p1 (100 ml / liter water) p2 (200ml / liter of water) and p3 (300 ml / liter). The results showed that treatment of the planting medium (M) significantly affected the parameters of the number of leaf age 60 DAP and is not significantly affected, plant height, number of tillers, the number of bulbs, tubers and the weight of the growing media pH. While the provision of MOL Keong Mas (P) had no significant effect on all parameters. There is no interaction between the treatment plant and the provision of various media MOL Keong Mas on all parameters observed.

The Effect of Post-Mining Soil Planting Media and Book Lengths on the Growth of Pepper Cutters (Piper nigrum L.) Varieties of Malonan I, Under the guidance of Mahdalena and Iin Arsensi. The purpose of this study was to determine the response of the growth of pepper cuttings (Piper nigrum L.) Malonan I variety using post-mining soil planting media. This research was carried out in Sungai Mariam Village, Anggana Subdistrict for 6 weeks from September to November 2018. The research was arranged in a Randomized Block Design (RBD) with Factorial experiments consisting of 2 factors with 3 replications. The first factor is the length of the book consists of two levels, namely s1 (length 3 books) and s2 (length 5 books). The second factor of the growing media consists of 3 levels, namely t1 (mining land), t2 (mining land and manure), and t3 (mining land and compost). The results showed that the treatment of post-mining soil planting media and the length of cuttings did not have a significant effect on all parameters, when growing shoots, number of shoots, and shoot length were 2, 4, 6 weeks after planting.
