Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh media tanam dan jumlah ruas serta interaksi keduanya terhadap pertumbuhan setek tanaman lada. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di halaman asrama mahasiswa Langsa Banda Aceh dan Laboratorium Fisiologi Tumbuhan Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Syiah Kuala Banda Aceh yang berlangsung sejak Juli hingga Oktober 2019. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok pola faktorial 4 x 3 terdapat 2 faktor yaitu media tanam dan jumlah ruas. Media tanam dengan 4 taraf perlakuan yaitu tanah, tanah + bokashi, tanah + pupuk kandang, dan tanah + bokashi + pupuk kandang dan jumlah ruas dengan 3 taraf perlakuan yaitu beruas 1, 2 dan 3. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media tanam berpengaruh nyata terhadap tinggi tunas, diameter tunas, dan jumlah daun. Perlakuan media tanam terbaik ditemukan pada media tanah + pupuk kandang. Perlakuan jumlah ruas berpengaruh nyata terhadap tinggi tunas dan jumlah daun namun tidak berpengaruh nyata pada diameter tunas. Jumlah ruas terbaik ditemukan pada ruas 1 dan 2. Terdapat interaksi antara perlakuan media tanam dan jumlah ruas terhadap pertumbuhan setek tanaman lada yang berpengaruh nyata terhadap tinggi tunas, diameter tunas, dan jumlah daun. Kombinasi terbaik dijumpai pada interaksi antara media tanam tanah + pupuk kandang dan jumlah ruas 1 dan 2. Effect of Planting Media and Number of Segments on Growth of Cuttings of Pepper (Piper nigrum L.)Abstract. This study aims to determine the effect of the planting media and the number of segments and their interactions on the growth of pepper cuttings. This research was held in the yard of Langsa student dormitory in Banda Aceh and the Plant Physiology Laboratory of Agriculture Faculty, Syiah Kuala University, Banda Aceh on July to September 2019. This research used a factorial randomized block design with 2 treatments, there are planting media and the number of segments. Planting media with 4 kinds of treatment there are soil, soil + bokashi, soil + manure, and soil + bokashi + manure and the number of segments with 3 kinds of treatment there are segment 1, segment 2 and segment 3. The results of the research showed that the planting media had a significant effect on height buds, buds diameter, and number of leaves. The best growing media founded in soil + manure media. Meanwhile the number of segments significantly affected on height buds and number of leaves, but did not significantly affect on buds diameter. The best number of segments founded on sections 1 and 2. There was an interaction between the planting media and the number of segments on the growth of pepper cuttings that significantly affected on height buds, buds diameter, and number of leaves. The best interaction founded in the interaction between soil + manure planting media and the number of sections 1 and 2.

Research on the response of growth of pepper cuttings (Piper nigrum. L) Malonan I to the composition of the planting media and the number of segments aims to determine the effect of the composition of the planting media and the number of segments on the growth of pepper cuttings. The study was conducted for 12 weeks (3 months) from October 2019 - January 2020. The research was carried out in the Agrotechnology Experimental Garden at Widya Gama Mahakam University Samarinda. This research uses factorial randomized block design with 2 factors and is repeated 3 times. The first factor is the number of segments (R) consisting of 3 levels, namely, R1 = 1 segment, R2 = 2 segments, R3 = 3 segments The second factor is the growing media (P) consisting of 3 levels, namely: P0 = Top soil (control) , P1 = Top soil + rice husk with a ratio of 3: 1, P2 = Top soil + cow manure with a ratio of 3: 1, P3 = Top soil + rice husk + cow manure. Expected output is to provide information about the best planting media for the growth of Malonan I pepper cuttings for the community. Provide information about the best number of segments for the growth of Malonan I pepper cuttings for the community.

Growth of FHIA-17 Banana Seedlings with the Application of Hijauan Paitan Fertilizer (Titonia Diversifolia) and Cow Manure. The aim of this study was to obtain data on the growth of FHIA-17 banana seedlings after application of T.diversifolia forage and cow manure. Using a factorial Randomized Block Design (CRD) with two treatment factors. The first factor is the forage dose of T. diversifolia (P) with 5 levels, P0=Control; P1=12.5 g kg-1 planting medium (equivalent to 5 tons ha-1); P2=25 g kg-1 planting medium (equivalent to 10 tons ha-1); P3=37.5 g / kg of planting media (equivalent to 15 tons ha-1); P4=50 g kg-1 of growing media (equivalent to 20 tons ha-1). The second factor is the dose of cow manure (K) with 5 treatment levels namely, K0=Control; P1=12.5 g kg-1 of growing media (equivalent to 5 tons ha-1); K2=25 g kg-1 of growing media (equivalent to 10 tons ha-1); K3= 37.5 g kg-1 of growing media (equivalent to 15 tons ha-1); K4=50 g kg-1 planting medium (equivalent to 20 tons ha-1 and repeated 2 (two) times. Observed parameters were plant height (cm), number of leaves, stem circumference (mm), plant wet weight (g), plant dry weight (g). The results of this study indicate that the application of forage T. diversifolia significantly affected plant height and number of leaves. It’s not real with respect to all observational parameters.

Mucuna bracteata is a type of Leguminosae Cover Crop (LCC) which is widely used in Indonesian plantations. The advantage of Mucuna bracteata is that it grows fast. Based on this, a study was conducted to see the rate of difference in the number of internodes planted which could accelerate the growth and development of Mucuna bracteata. The research was carried out in the practical garden area of ​​the Medan Agricultural College of Agribusiness (STIPAP). The research was conducted from May to June 2020. This study used a non-factorial randomized block design (RBD), which consisted of 1 treatment with 4 levels, namely R0 (1 rolled segment), R1 (2 rolled sections), R2 (3 rolled humps), R3 (4 rolled humps) and with 5 repetitions. The results showed that the treatment of R2, namely 3 bundles of rolled knuckles, gave the best effect on the parameter increase in tendril length, namely 89.66 cm, the increase in the number of tendrils, namely 6.38, the increase in the number of leaves, namely 12.50 strands, the increase in the number of segments, namely 11.32 pieces, and the measurement of the root volume, namely 13.00 ml. The treatment of the number of bunded knots had a significant effect on the parameters of tendril length, number of tendrils, number of leaves, number of internodes, and volume of roots.

To improve the quality of pepper products through organic cultivation using organic growth regulators. This Research aims to investigate concentration and long immersion effect of golden snail meat (Pomacea canaliculata L.) on the growth of pepper cuttings (Piper nigrum L.). the method was experimental with a randomized block design (RAK) Factorial design with two factors namely various golden snail meat concentrations and long immersion ranging from several hours. The parameters observed in this study was Growth Percentage (%), Bud Height (cm), Number of Leaves (Strands), Root Length (cm), and Root Volume (ml). The results showed that the treatment of snail meat zpt concentration did not significantly affect the shoot height parameters but significantly affected the percentage of growth, number of leaves, root length and root volume where the effective zpt concentration was 50%. The long immersion treatment significantly affected the percentage of growth and shoot height where the best treatment at w1 was 3 hours’ immersion. The treatment combination of ZPT golden snail meat (Pomacea canaliculata L.) and long immersion did not significantly affect all observations parameters.

Growth and yield response Gladiolus flowers (Gladiolus Hibridus) against the use of growing media and fertilizers Saputra Nutrient. This study aims to determine Saputra Nutrient fertilizer use and the use of growing media on growth and yield of flowers gladiolus (Gladiolus hibridus). The research was conducted from April to July 2010. The study was conducted in North Samarinda. This study uses a randomized block design (RAK) with a 4 x 3 factorial experiment consisted of three replications. The first factor is the use of a planting medium that consists of three levels ie: m1 (top soil), m2 (top soil + manure + husk), m3 (top soil + manure + sand), the second factor is the use of fertilizers Saputra Nutrient consisting of 4 levels ie: p0 levels (without fertilizer), p1 (1 tablespoon powder + 3 tablespoons liquid + 7.5 liters of water), p2 (1 tablespoon powder + 3 tablespoons liquid + 5.0 liters of water), and p3 (1 spoon 3 tablespoons of powder + liquid + 2.5 liters of water). The results showed that the use of the planting medium significantly affected all parameters of the study except the number of leaves at 15 days after planting. Treatment m1 (top soil) showed the largest number of flowers cropping 13.96 florets. The results showed that the use of fertilizers Saputra Nutrient significantly affected all parameters except the current study appear shoots number of leaves at 15 days after planting. Treatment p2 (1 tablespoon powder + 3 tablespoons liquid + 5.0 liters of water), showed the largest amount of 14.00 florets florets. Interaction of growing media and fertilizer use Saputra Nutrient no real effect on all parameters of observation.

Potato plants are propagated vegetatively with tubers. The difficulty of getting potato seeds with tubers is an obstacle in the supply of potato seeds, to overcome these obstacles vegetative propagation with cuttings can be a solution for the supply of potato seeds. This research used a factorial Randomized Block Design (RBD). The first factor is the type of Radix Up consisting of 4 levels, namely Z0 (control), Z1 (Radix Up 1), Z2 (Radix Up 2), and Z3 (Radix Up 3), the second factor is the number of segments consisting of 3 levels namely D1 (number of segment 1), D2 (number of segment 2), and D3 (number of segment 3). Observation variables included: when the roots appeared, plant height, number of leaves, and stem diameter. The results showed that there was an interaction between Radix Up types and the number of segments on the growth of potato shoot cuttings when the roots appeared, but there were no interactions on other observational variables. The Z1D3 treatment (Radix Up 1 and segment number 3) gives the fastest average value, which is the average when the root appears 4.33 days.

Vetiver root is a commodity that is tolerant enough to be planted in salty soils with a certain level of salinity. One approach to increase oxidative stress tolerance that will increase the enzyme substrate at the cellular level is ascorbic acid. The purpose of this study was to increase students' knowledge about how the response of vetiver seed (Vetiveria zizanioides) growth in salt soils to ascorbic acid through practical field learning in plant physiology courses. This research was conducted using a factorial randomized block design (RBD), the first factor was the salinity (S), namely S0: 0 dsm-1 and S1: 4 dsm-1. The second factor was ascorbic acid (A), namely A0: without treatment, A1: 50 ppm, A2: 100 ppm and A3: 150 ppm. There were 8 treatment combinations that were repeated 3 times resulting in 24 experimental units. The parameters observed were plant height, number of leaves and number of stomata. In this study, ascorbic acid had a significant effect on plant height, number of leaves and number of stomata. Saline soil had a significant effect on the number of stomata parameters. No interactions for all parameters were observed.

The research aimed to find out 1) the best growing media for growth and flowering of Dendrobium orchid, 2) the best dosage of mycorrhizal biofertilizer for growth and flowering of Dendrobium orchid, 3) the best combination type of growing media and mycorrhizal biofertilizer for growth and flowering of Dendrobium orchid. The research was conducted at Screen house of Datar Village, Sumbang Subdistrict, Banyumas Regency from May 2017 to November 2017. The research design was using Randomized Block Design (RBD) method with 2 factors and 3 replicates:(1) Growing media with 3 treatment types; wood charcoal, fern (Cyathea contaminans), root of the bird’s net fern (Asplenium nidus), and (2) dosage of mycorrhizal biofertilizer with 3 levels; without mycorrhizal, 10g /plant (20 spores), 20g /plant (40 spores). Data were analyzed by analysis of variance followed by Duncan’s Multiple Range Test (DMRT) at 5% level. The observed variables were the increase of plant height, number of leaves, the increase of leaf area, number of buds, number of roots, number of root length, the appearing of first primordia flower, the first flower blossom, number of flower per stalk, number of flower stalk per plant, length of flower stalk, and percent of mycorrhizal infections. The result of the research showed that root of the bird’s net fern is the best of growing media for variables of the number of leaves and the number of buds for each 5,63 leaves and 1,37buds, as well as the percentage of mycorrhizal infections by 54,44%. Result also showed that the best dosage of mycorrhizal biofertilizer is 10 g/plant for variables of the number of root and the percentage of mycorrhizal infections for each 20,78 roots and 64,44%. The highest number of flowers per stalk was obtained on the combination of growing media using fern (Cyathea contaminans) without mycorrhizal biofertilizer by 8 flowers.Anggrek merupakan tanaman hias yang potensial untuk dibudidayakan, karena mem-punyai nilai ekonomis tinggi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui jenis media tanam dan dosis mikoria terbaik pada pertumbuhan dan pembungaan anggrek dendrobium serta mem-pelajari interaksi antara pemberian jenis media tanam dan dosis pupuk hayati mikoriza terhadap pertumbuhan, pembungaan anggrek Dendrobium sp. dan infeksi mikoriza. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Screen house Desa Datar, Kecamatan Sumbang, Kabupaten Banyumas mulai Mei hingga November 2017. Rancangan penelitian meng-gunakan rancangan acak kelompok pola faktorial dengan 2 faktor dan 3 ulangan, yaitu (1) media tanam dengan 3 jenis media; arang kayu, pakis (Cyathea contaminans), akar kadaka (Asplenium nidus), dan (2) dosis pupuk hayati mikoriza dengan 3 taraf; tanpa mikoriza, 10 g tanaman-1 (20 spora), 20 g tanaman-1 (40 spora) Hasil penelitian menunjukkan media akar kadaka merupakan media terbaik untuk variabel pertambahan jumlah daun dan jumlah tunas anggrek Dendrobium masing-masing yaitu sebanyak 5,63 helai dan 1,37 tunas, serta persen infeksi mikoriza sebesar 54,44%. Pupuk hayati mikoriza 10 g/tanaman merupakan dosis terbaik untuk variabel pertambahan jumlah akar dan persen infeksi mikoriza anggrek Dendrobium masing-masing sebanyak 20,78 akar dan 64,44%. Jumlah bunga per tangkai tertinggi diperoleh pada kombinasi jenis media tanam pakis dengan tanpa pupuk hayati mikoriza sebanyak 8 kuntum. Kata Kunci : Dendrobium sp., media tanam, pupuk hayati mikoriza, pertumbuhan dan pembungaa

Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh komposisi media tanam dengan lama perendaman dalam larutan urine sapi terhadap pertumbuhan setek lada serta interaksi kedua faktor tersebut. Penelitian ini telah dilaksanakan di University Farm Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Syiah Kuala. Pada bulan Februari sampai April 2016. Rancangan percobaan yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) pola faktorial 4x4 dengan 3 ulangan, sehingga terdapat 16 kombinasi perlakuan dan 48 unit percobaan setiap satuan diwakili oleh 2 tanaman sehingga keseluruhan terdapat 96 tanaman. Adapun faktor yang diteliti yaitu komposisi media tanam dengan 4 taraf yaitu M0 (tanah), M1 (tanah + sekam + pupuk kandang = 1:1:2), M2 (tanah + sekam + pupuk kandang = 2:1:1) , M3 (tanah + sekam + pupuk kandang = 1:1:2) dan faktor kedua yaitu lama perendaman dalam larutan urine sapi yaitu W0 (tanpa perendaman), W1 (30 detik), W2 (60 detik), W3 (90 detik). Parameter yang diamati dalam penelitian ini mencakup jumlah tunas , panjang tunas (cm), jumlah daun (helai), berat brangkasan segar (g), berat akar kering  (g),  Berat tunas kering (g), dan volume akar (ml). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan komposisi media tanam dan lama perendaman dalam urine sapi berpengaruh nyata dalam membantu pertumbuhan setek lada.  Influence of Composition of Planting Media and Old Immersion in Cow Urine Solution to Pepper Spinning Growth (Piper nigrum Linn)Abstract. This study aims to determine the effect of planting media composition with long soaking in cow urine solution to the growth of pepper cuttings and the interaction of these two factors. This research has been conducted at University Farm Faculty of Agriculture, Syiah Kuala University. In February to April 2016. The experimental design used in this study was Randomized Block Design (RAK) 4x4 factorial pattern with 3 replications, so there were 16 treatment combinations and 48 experimental units per unit represented by 2 plants so that there were 96 whole plants. The factors studied were the composition of planting medium with 4 levels ie M0 (soil), M1 (soil + husk + manure = 1: 1: 2), M2 (soil + husk + manure = 2: 1: 1), M3 (soil + husk + manure = 1: 1: 2) and the second factor is long immersion in cow urine solution W0 (without immersion), W1 (30 seconds), W2 (60 seconds), W3 (90 seconds). Parameters observed in this study included shoot number, shoot length (cm), number of leaves (strands), fresh weight weight (g), dry root weight (g), dry shoot weight (g), and root volume (ml). The results showed that the composition of planting medium and the duration of immersion in cow urine significantly influenced the growth of pepper cuttings

The Effect of Post-Mining Soil Planting Media and Book Lengths on the Growth of Pepper Cutters (Piper nigrum L.) Varieties of Malonan I, Under the guidance of Mahdalena and Iin Arsensi. The purpose of this study was to determine the response of the growth of pepper cuttings (Piper nigrum L.) Malonan I variety using post-mining soil planting media. This research was carried out in Sungai Mariam Village, Anggana Subdistrict for 6 weeks from September to November 2018. The research was arranged in a Randomized Block Design (RBD) with Factorial experiments consisting of 2 factors with 3 replications. The first factor is the length of the book consists of two levels, namely s1 (length 3 books) and s2 (length 5 books). The second factor of the growing media consists of 3 levels, namely t1 (mining land), t2 (mining land and manure), and t3 (mining land and compost). The results showed that the treatment of post-mining soil planting media and the length of cuttings did not have a significant effect on all parameters, when growing shoots, number of shoots, and shoot length were 2, 4, 6 weeks after planting.
