  RESUMEN Se desea emitir una opinión basada en el impacto que tiene la ética en las empresas. Y en el papel que juega en el actuar de cada día. La ética profesional que deben tener aquellos que desempeñan cualquier función en un ente económico. Y el impacto que puede ocasionar la falta de ética en el ámbito empresarial. Se emplea un procedimiento de metodología cualitativa; basándose en los aspectos observables que se presentan en el entorno empresarial; haciendo énfasis en el desempeño que realiza el profesional al momento de realizar su trabajo. Y la manera en la que debe manejarse la administración de cualquier empresa para la toma de decisiones, las cuales, deben ser las más idóneas para tener finanzas sanas. Así mismo, un procedimiento de metodología descriptiva en la cual se puntualizan las características que existen en ciertas áreas económicas de la población; a fin de poder conocer los puntos de riesgo o aquellas acciones que generan problemas por falta de ética en el ámbito económico. Se analizaron diferentes áreas económicas del sector empresarial, los puntos de mayor preocupación a causa de factores ocasionados por falta de ética. Y sugerencias del como poder mejorar la situación que se está presentando en cada área económica.  ABSTRACT It is desired to issue an opinion based on the impact that ethics has on companies. And in the role he plays in the daily actions. The professional ethics that should have those who perform any function in an economic entity. And the impact that the lack of ethics in the business world can cause. A qualitative methodology procedure is used; based on the observable aspects that appear in the business environment; emphasizing the performance performed by the professional at the time of performing their work. And the way in which the management of any company should be managed for making decisions, which should be the most suitable to have healthy finances. Likewise, a descriptive methodology procedure in which the characteristics that exist in certain economic areas of the population are specified; In order to know the risk points or those actions that generate problems due to lack of ethics in the economic field. Different economic areas of the business sector were analyzed, the points of greatest concern due to factors caused by lack of ethics. PurposeThe impact of information technology (IT) on the agility of supply chain management (SCM) systems is very noticeable in the business world nowadays. Competition and constant changes, including product/technological innovations, decreasing product lifestyles and product proliferation, create pressure that affects the business environment. Organizations are required for answering the changes in the market to gain a competitive advantage and business success. The organizations are able to answer to unexpected market changes through supply chain market, and these changes are converted to business opportunities. Using IT to achieve the agility of SCM is one of the important factors to help the organizations. Therefore, the adoption of IT and its efficient implementation can improve the cooperation between supply chain agility through the rapid transfer, the distribution of accurate information and the use of information. This paper aims to investigate the impact of IT on the agility of SCM.Design/methodology/approachA total of 120 employees of the Golasal firm are involved in collecting data using a questionnaire. Measurements were performed in all questionnaires using a five-point Likert scale. The causal model is evaluated by structural equationmodeling technique, which is used to examine the reliability and validity of the model.FindingsThe results have shown that IT has positive influences on the agility of SCM systems. In addition, the obtained results have shown that four variables, namely, IT skills and knowledge, IT-based systems integration, IT infrastructure and design of global position system and geographic information systems, affect the agility of SCM systems.Originality/valueIn this paper, the agility of SCM systems is pointed out and the approach to resolve the problem is applied into a practical example. The presented model provides a complete framework to examine the impact of IT on the agility of SCM systems.

The article aims to investigate the relation between migration and digital technologies, in particular the way in which connectivity contributes to new forms of social inclusion. The study presented explores asylum seekers’ digital connections in relation to affective belonging, focusing on how social media enhance new forms of relationship between the homeland and host countries, as well as across migration flows. The research draws from the humanities and social sciences, proposing a qualitative methodology based on in-depth interviews with five migrants from the Middle East and Africa, who are hosted in a temporary camp for asylum seekers in Italy. It focuses on the way in which they remain connected to their home countries and how they try, at the same time, to create new relationships in the host country. The results outline how different forms of communication and digital networking impact on the migrants’ settling into new lives at the local and transnational level.

ABSTRACT Purpose: Interaction through the use of social media, smartphones, and online games is increasingly growing. Regarding games, it is estimated that part of the population spends more than 12 hours a week in interactions provided by online games. In this context, the objective of the present research is to study and deepen the connection between co-creation and gamification applied to the services sector. Originality/value: This research aims to contribute to the gap reduction in the existing literature in the areas of gamification and co-creation applied to the services sector. The fact that the research is applied to a peripheral region of Europe and to a different business sector contributes to a better understanding of the relationship established between gamified co-creation and the business sector in these types of regions. It also helps companies in the process of developing and implementing new strategies. Design/methodology/approach: By using a qualitative methodology, seven interviews were carried out in different companies located in Portugal and operating in the services sector. Findings: This research will allow a better understanding of the Portuguese business world and if this corporate environment is ready to work with new methodologies. It was possible to point out some good practices related to the implementation of a gamified co-creation methodology, as well as to provide an alert for the negative aspects that may arise when working under this approach. Companies acknowledge that the adoption of a gamified co-creation methodology brings some advantages and increases their competitiveness levels in the market.

The volatility, uncertainty, complexity and ambiguity (VUCA) of the business environment require that investment projects carried out within organizations also include sustainability aspects, in order to maintain a superior competitive position. Investors as well as other stakeholders from organizations are more inclined to companies that implement sustainable investment projects compared to traditional ones for which only profit and financial benefits matter. Thus, the purpose of this paper is to reveal how the rapid and often unfounded changes specific to today's world, the VUCA world influences the way that projects are carried out within organizations. Particular attention was also paid to the way in which organizations implement project-specific activities and sub-activities, in order to ensure sustainable development, even in a crisis situation. In order to achieve these objectives, a bibliometric and systematic analysis of the specialized literature was carried out, analyzing the present studies and articles from the area, that revealed the influence of the VUCA world on the business environment. Thus, this paper aims to present how the VUCA world affects organizations, the effects that complex and rapid organizational changes specific to the VUCA world have on the sustainability of investment projects, the impact of crises of the sustainable development on organizations, the implications of the VUCA world on strategies organizations. Following the analyzes carried out, the results showed that the elements specific to the VUCA world have a great influence on the sustainable development of organizations and, implicitly, on the projects carried out within it.

The COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic has brought about a new economic reality, to which every economic entity must adapt, regardless of the scale: within a region, a country, or the whole world. The article examines the regional economic mechanism in the context of the pandemic in the context of the interaction of the market mechanism of self-development and the control influence of the regional authorities. The destabilization of the economic situation in the regions as a result of the pandemic and related restrictions poses the problem of revising the main directions of regional policy To achieve the set goals and objectives, the general methods of empirical and theoretical research were used: analysis, synthesis, induction, deduction, generalization, description. Three spheres play a key role in the economy of Pavlodar region: industry, trade and transport. Just how to remain positive dynamics in terms of industrial production and maintained the services will depend on the development of the region, the main indicators which are discussed in this article through the prism of the events in the context of the pandemic. The necessary health measures taken in response to the pandemic have led to a severe reduction in mobility and are accompanied by high economic costs. The quarantine measures have had a direct impact on businesses, especially microbusinesses. To support this sector, tax incentives were provided, lending was expanded, and measures were taken to further facilitate the business environment. The article reflects only a small list of issues that required changes in the economic mechanism in the context of the pandemic and the introduction of restrictive measures, as well as the strengthening of the influence of external control on the economy. At the same time, the state as whole and individual regions, taking into account their potential and the actual situation in the economy, need to find an optimal balance between the prohibitions and restrictions imposed to ensure the safety of human health and the preservation of the economy in a functional mode, work and income of employees. This problem of finding a balance between prohibitive and permissive measures requires further analysis. At the same time, the state needs to develop and apply tools of a systematic nature, focused on the long term.

The article considers the importance and role of the business environment on the basis of generalization of theoretical and practical research. The purpose of the study is to analyze the business environment for different segments; identify indicators and characteristics of the business environment; study the impact of the business environment on the profitability of an economic entity. The essential characteristics of the business environment are considered, as well as the following segments of the business environment: economy, demography, technology and legal regulation. The most significant indicators and performance characteristics of each segment of the business environment are grouped. In the segment of the economy, indicators of trade turnover, average monthly income of the population were revealed; in the segment of demography – consumer behavior: in the segment of technology – the virtual possibilities of the functioning of the enterprise; in the segment of legal regulation – the political situation and events. The main research method was PEST analysis. To substantiate the macroeconomic indicators of the business environment, an expert assessment was applied. In conclusion, the author evaluates the cumulative impact of business environment segments on the functioning of the enterprise.

The evolution of the business environment under the impact of globalization highlights the increase of social expectations through which it considers the success of the economic entity, measured and recognized in various forms of expression, based on the indicators of performance in terms of accounting information. The purpose of this chapter is to present the models of “cash accounting” and “accrual accounting” in terms of conceptual and empirical, comparative, right next to the main similarities and differences between them, and the usefulness of accounting information produced by them in the decision-making process by users of accounting information. The use of one or the other accounting model makes the accounting information different, respectively creating a different picture of financial performance, the parties concerned, in many cases, to request additional information. It is therefore of interest to be known options regarding the production of accounting information, indicators for measuring the financial performance of the entity.
