Objective: This survey was conducted regarding observe validity, reliability and standardization of Robert Hill’s perfectionism scale among the university students. Materials and Methods: The statistical population of this survey included all bachelor students of Tehran Azad University (Central branch) in academic year of 2009-2010 with the age between20 to 35. Among this statistical population via random cluster sampling, 500 students (310women and 190men) were chosen. In this survey, regarding assessing perfectionism scale reliability, factor analysis method was used. Before performing factor analysis, sampling adequacy was proved by rejecting zero hypotheses based on correct matrix homology in society by Bartlett test. Hence, implementing factor analysis was justifiable. In order to check the validity of Hill perfectionism scale, Cronbach’s alpha coefficient was used and after deleting unsuitable questions (4-15-19), scale validity coefficient of 0/921 was gained which indicates that perfectionism scale is having high validity. In order to determine the construct reliability, factor analysis was used. Assessment of perfectionism scale was conducted through the principal component analysis and orthogonal rotation. According to results from factor analysis, among 56 perfectionism questions, 6 factors were extracted which justified 47/0 percent of all variables. Factor matrix showed: the first factor is having the highest factor power and share comparing to other factors. In current survey, questions (59,24,2,11,36,44,34,47,31,18,32,71) were complex questions, as they tended to have power in various factors. In order to determine perfectionism scale norm for the students, questionnaire scores was determined. Accordingly, perfectionism questionnaire contents were graded based on four scales’ items from agree to disagree with grades 1 to 4. Results: Hill perfectionism scale is having proper psychometric features to be used in Iran society.

This article discusses the needs and interests of the university students in Banten Indonesia for learning to write with an integrative approach as an initial stage in the development of academic writing textbooks. The participants in this study were 60 students in the first semester of the 2018/2019 academic year who took an Indonesian language course. It was found that students were familiar with writing activities. But the majority were limited to non-academic genres such as writing poetry, short stories, and writing personal blogs. Also, students have almost the same problems in academic writing, both from linguistic aspects, technical aspects, to issues of developing writing ideas. Another thing that was found in this study was the participation of lecturers who they expected in guiding and providing input during academic writing learning.

This study aimed to reveal the degree to which the Jordanian university students possess digital citizenship skills through the selected set of variables: (gender, type of the college, the university, the academic year- level).Using a descriptive analytical method, a (45) item questioner was developed divided into three categories. The first, digital responsibility skills. The second, digital skills and the third, digital safety skills. The sample consisted of (5200) students, who were randomly selected form (6) universities. Results indicated that the degree of possessing digital skills was high. Whereas possessing the digital safety and digital responsibility skills was moderate. The study indicated that there were no statistically significant differences at the level of significance (α = 0.05) between the mean responses of the respondents according to different variables (sex, college and school year), while it pointed out that there are differences according to variable difference (University) between the University of Jordan and Mu'tah University in favor of University of Jordan.

This study focuses on the results obtained from the teacher's assessment of Project-Based Learning, a methodological approach that implies a change in the university pedagogical paradigm that affects both the teaching and learning processes. To this end, a study is carried out taking as a sample university teachers during the academic year 2018-2019. Among the results obtained, it is worth mentioning that the teacher considers the Project-Based Learning a methodology that favours in the classroom, constituting a valid alternative to improve the quality of learning in university students.

IntroductionH&F Multidimensional Perfectionism Scale is a widely used measure of perfectionism developed to measure Self-oriented perfectionism (SOP), Socially-prescribed perfectionism (SPP) and Other-oriented perfectionism (OOP) dimensions. The original scale comprises 45-likert items. We have previously developed a short version of The H&F-MPS, with 13 items, showing adequate validity in a sample of university students, using principal component analyses method with factors varimax rotation.ObjectiveTo examine the factor structure of the H&F-MPS13 with confirmatory factor analysis (CFA), using a different sample of Portuguese university students.MethodsThe sample comprises 245 university students (68.9% females), with a mean age of 20.95 years (SD= 2.19; range= 17–33) who completed the H&F-MPS13. CFA was used to test the model suggested by prior exploratory factor analyses of H&F-MPS13.ResultsAfter correlated errors, we obtained a good fit for the second-order factor (X2/d= 2.577; CFI= 0.928; GFI= 0.915, RMSEA= 0.080; P[rmsea ≤ 0.05] = 0.001). The H&F-MPS13 showed acceptable internal consistency (α= 0.77) and the three dimensions presented Cronbach's alphas ranging between acceptable and good (α OOP = 0.67; SPP = 0.73; SOP = 0.89).ConclusionsThe H&F-MPS13 obtained through CFA is a reliable and valid measure to assess perfectionism in Portuguese university students.Disclosure of interestThe authors have not supplied their declaration of competing interest.

The study is done to confirm the factors that affecting on the acception of the students about electronic atTra Vinh University. The research sample is surveyed from 278 university students of various sụbjects to April 2020 to May 2020, including 254 students are using electronic courses at the university. The study is basedon the method of assessing the reliability of scale by Cronbach’s Alpha, exploratory factor analysis (EFA) and linear structure analysis (SEM). The research result shows that the positively influencing factors on the acception of Tra Vinh University including usefulness, social influence and habits. This study also contributes some solutions to complete the policy of attracting students to use e-learning courses at Tra Vinh University.

Even with significant breakthroughs in the production and delivery of meteorological information, most farmers are not able to utilize such information properly and pertinently. Up to the present time, a standardized scale has not been developed to examine farmers’ sustainability barriers to meteorological information use (BMIU). Furthermore, there is no doubt that identifying indicators and dimensions of sustainability barriers to meteorological information and weather forecasts’ usage by farmers can play a major role in their adaptation and resilience to the risks of climate change. Therefore, the present study aimed to generate and validate a scale for BMIU by farmers through an eight-step approach. Accordingly, the statistical population included 9006 Iranian farmers, 368 of whom were selected as study samples. The principal component factor analysis (PCFA) and second-order confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) were further practiced to develop the scale for meteorological information and weather forecasts’ use. Factor analysis also led to the emergence of five latent factors including “educational–communicative barriers (ECBs)”, “normative barriers (NBs)”, “informational barriers (IBs)”, “infrastructural–political barriers (IPBs)”, and “professional–economic barriers (PEBs)”. The second-order CFA correspondingly confirmed these five factors and their 25 related indicators. Given the challenges facing academic scholars, decision makers, and authorities in the application and facilitation of meteorological information, the developed multidimensional scale in this study along with its implementation steps can be effective in examining the limitations of utilizing such information and measuring its impacts in different agricultural communities.

Wellness on a general scale is a major global concern as it is perpendicular to achieving monumental success in a drive towards global health challenges. The health status and wellbeing of university students should be major concern as they constitute young adolescent population and are prone to risky lifestyle. The objective of this study is to carry out exploratory factor analysis of modified structured wellness questionnaire used by university students in pursuit of healthy living. The study explored the orientation, health perspective and practices of the university students to assess the factor loading of the modified structures questionnaire for extraction, reduction and compression into variables. A 20-item questionnaire was administered to 1030 students from four different colleges of Afe Babalola University. Analyses were performed using SPSS. Principal axis component was conducted on the data and Cronbach Alpha was used to test the internal consistency of the data. The results of factor analysis showed five factors and eliminate five items that loaded below the cut-off points. The factors were drug and alcohol pattern; health belief and finance; self-expression and social integration; exercise, sleep and food; strength of social circle.Keywords: Principal axis factoring; Wellness; Healthy living

The current study aimed to investigate the most common translation problems that encountered the Saudi students in translating some of the literary items from Arabic into English. In addition, the study tried to investigate the most difficult terms that the students faced while translating them. Moreover, it aimed to explore the participants’ point of views behind such translation problems. To achieve the purpose of the study, a translation test, which involved 20 items and expressions, was prepared in advance. Furthermore, an interview was made to the participants to ask them about their point of views concerning the reasons behind encountering such translation problems. The sample of the study consisted of 15 male fourth year English-majored university students, who were chosen purposefully, at the University College of Taymaa in the first semester of the academic year 2017/2018 in Saudi Arabia. The design of the study was a qualitative as well as quantitative method. The data that were obtained from the participants’ answers in the translation test as well as the participants’ point of views in the interview were analyzed using the appropriate statistical analyses. The findings of the study showed that the students’ achievement in translating the items of the terms of address was the best compared with their results in the other two groups (lexical and cultural). Moreover, the analysis of the students’ interviews indicated that the lack of practice and lack of translation courses are a main reason in facing such these problems. Based on the findings, the researcher presented some recommendations and suggestions to develop students’ translation competence such as increasing the number of the translation courses that are presented to the students in their studying to have more practice in the process of translation. Moreover, more concentration should be given to the lexical, cultural, and terms of address problems in translation. Besides, students must be trained on how to use the bilingual dictionaries in the process of translation to get the intended meaning while rendering from Arabic into English and vice versa.

Water bottling industry has negative environmental impacts due to exploitation and possible pollution of water resources and due to solid waste problems related to the use of plastic bottles. To mitigate these impacts, it is important to study the link between consuming bottled drinking water and the perception of its quality. The objective of the study is to assess the perception of Birzeit University students’ of the bottled water marketed in the West Bank and its impact on the humans and the environment. Universities play an important role in providing awareness about environmental issues and sustainability, and university students are thought to be more environmentally conscious about these issues. A quantitative survey was used to analyze the behaviors and perceptions of Birzeit University students. The sample size was 375 students, distributed according to the college, gender, and the academic year at the university. The results show that the factors that affect the perception of the students are mainly the educational year at the university, the income, the family size, and the community type.

Objective: The present study was carried out to compare creativity and self-esteem in the university students with employed and household mothers in academic years 2014-2015. Method: This research is a descriptive one which is of comparative-casual type. The statistical population includes all undergraduate students of Azad universities of Roudhen, Shahr-e Ray Central Tehran and national universities of Al-Zahra, Shahid Beheshti and Vali-e Asr that among them 240 students (120 males and 120 females) were selected by random and available sampling method. To collect the data, Arjmand’s (2003) questionnaire of creativity and Copper-Smith’s (1967) self-esteem questionnaire were used. To test the hypotheses, independent t-test was used. Findings: The results showed that there is a significant difference between self-esteem in students with employed and household mothers. Also, a significant difference was not observed between the rate of creativity in students with employed and household mothers. Conclusion: The results of the present research can be used to provide proper strategies for mothers, instructors, and those who are relevant with educational affairs to enhance the quality of education, to nurture and flourish creativity and self-esteem in individuals.
