Potential leading sector of a region is one of the information needed in regional development planning. The availability of data on the potential of leading regional sectors will make it easier for development planners to develop more targeted development strategies and policies. This study aims to determine and analyze the potential of leading sectors in West Java Province. The areas that are the focus of the study are in areas that are included in the fast-forward and fast-growing region based on the Klassen typology. The Location Quotient (LQ) method will be applied to determine the potential of leading sectors in these regions. This study also uses the shift-share analysis method to determine the factors that drive growth in these areas. This study utilizes secondary data in the form of district and city GRDP values in the province of West Java in the period 2012-2016. Data processing using cluster analysis gives the results that there are five regions that are categorized as fast-growing and fast-growing regions, namely Bogor Regency, Purwakarta Regency, Karawang Regency, Bandung City, and Cimahi City. While processing using the LQ method gives the results that in the five regions there are a number of sectors which are the basis or potential sectors to be developed. Furthermore, from the shift-share analysis, the results show that some leading sectors have a role in supporting regional economic growth through both comparative and competitive advantages owned by these basic sectors. In general, this study concludes that economic growth in fast-growing and fast-growing regions in the province of West Java is supported by the existence of base sectors that have comparative and competitive advantages, most of which are in the industrial and service sectors..

Determination of potential sectors becomes important as a basis for regional development planning in accordance with the era of regional autonomy, in the era of regional autonomy each region competes to increase regional economic growth, in order to increase the prosperity of its people This article examines the potential of the economic sector as supporting economic growth based on the 2010-2016 in time series data. AbstrakThis research aims to determine the role of the potential sector in Nagan Raya District after the tsunami. Using Loqation Quetiont (LQ) and Typology Klassen. The purpose of this research is to know the potential sectors and  the sectors that have comparative and competitive advantages and growth of each sector. This research uses secondary data in the form of data of gross regional domestic product (GRDP) on constant price according to business field. The scope of this research is Nagan Raya District in 2011-2016. Economic growth in Nagan Raya District based on GRDP data has increased every year. The result of the research shows that based on Location Quotient (LQ) analysis of Nagan Raya District sector is agriculture, forestry and fishery sector, mining and quarrying sector. The production of both sectors can not only meet the consumption needs of the relevant areas but also can be exported out of the region. System changes from centralized to decentralized governance has provided an opportunity for local governments to regulate and manage Natural Resources (NR) and Human Resources (HR) in the region to create a welfare society can be characterized by the growth of regional economic growth. The research was conducted to determine the contribution and sub-sectors growth in the agricultural sector and a base and competitive sub-sectors so that it can be seen the leading subsectors of agriculture. The analysis method used is descriptive analysis will illustrate how the rate of growth and the contribution of sub-sectors in the agricultural sector. Location Quetiont (LQ) Analysis was used to determine the base and non-base sub-sector. While the analysis of Revealed Comparative Advantage (RCA) is used to see the sub-sector competitiveness. The combination of LQ and RCA analysis can then be used to determine the leading sub-sector. From the analysis it is known that sub-sector of the agricultural sector is a base sub-sector which has the potential to become the leading sub-sector. Meanwhile, from the RCA analysis is known that the base of the agricultural sector has a highly competitive sub-sectors are food crops, tree crops, livestock and forestry.

Agricultural  development  program  in  Indonesia  is  the  part  of  economic development.  Papua  Province  in  the  economic  sector,  the  agriculture  sector  is  the very important role in supporting economic growth in the region.This study aims to analyze  the  basic  sector  and  basic  sub-sector  of  agriculture,  analyze  the  position sector  and  the  agriculture  sector  in  the  future,  and  the  determinants  of  changes  in positions on regional economic growth based on the calculation of the GDP Keerom district  and  Papua  province  in  2008-2011.The  study  used  secondary  data  over  a period of four years. The analysis  method used is Location Quotient (LQ), Dynamic Location  Quotient  (DLQ),  and  Total  Shift  Share  (TSS).  The  analysis  LQ  show  that agriculture  sector  is  the  basic  sector  in  the  economy  Keerom.While  the  agriculture sector  as  the  sub-sector  basis  (leading  sector) is plantation,  animal  husbandry,  and forestry.The combined method of LQ and DLQ, show that agriculture sector is still the sector basis in the future.The results of the analysis TSS is known that the deciding factor  position  change  on  plantations  and  fishing  sub-sector  is  the  location  factor, while the determining factor position change on the livestock sector is the factor of of economic structure.

Identification of leading sectors or subsectors is one of the main tasks of the regional government and is an important part of regional development planning before formulating, drafting and establishing a better development policy strategy. The main objective of this research is to analyze and identify subsectors in the manufacturing industry sector that have comparativeness and competitiveness in Jambi Province. Main data of this study are secondary data of districts and cities in Jambi Province during the period 2011–2015 which were sourced from the Central Bureau of Statistics,  and Indonesian Ministry of National Development Planning (Bappenas). Data were analyzed using descriptive and quantitative analysis methods, namely Location Quotient analysis and Shift Share analysis. Results of the study show that the manufacturing industry subsector of Jambi Province which can be classified as comparative and competitive subsector are timber/wood products industry, paper/goods industry, rubber/rubber goods industry, and furniture industry

<p class="bdabstract"><em>The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of the rupiah exchange rate, economic growth and inflation on the Jakarta Islamic Index. This type of research is quantitative research with secondary data sources. The sampling method uses purposive sampling method. The data analysis method used in this research is multiple linear regression analysis. The results of this study indicate that partially the rupiah exchange rate has a significant effect on the Jakarta Islamic Index while economic growth and inflation have no significant effect on the Jakarta Islamic Index. Simultaneously variables of the rupiah exchange rate, economic growth, and inflation significantly influence the Jakarta Islamic Index.</em></p>

This study aimed to analyzed the effect of the construction of basic infrastructure for economic growth in 26 provinces by using secondary data from 2004 – 2009. The model used is multiple linear regression using Panel Data with  Fixed Effect Analysis Method. The results of this study show variable electricity and roads in a positive and significant effect on economic growth in the region in 26 provincial in Indonesia. The provincial government is expected to prioritize the allocation of funds for the improvement of access to basic infrastructure (roads, electricity, telephone, and water), especially in remote areas, so as to boost economic growth in each province in Indonesia. Keywords: economicgrowth, basic infrastructur, data pael, FEM

The purpose of this study was to identify sectors of potential economic, competitive competitive, comparative and specialization, to then be used as a driver of economic growth and development of the district of Banyuwangi. This type of research is descriptive quantitative research. The data used in this research is secondary data and time series. These results indicate that by Location Quotient (LQ), the sector identified as a leading sector is agriculture. Based on the average results of analysis Growth Ratio Method (MRP), shows found their economic sectors that stand at both district and provincial Banyuwangi East Java, with the construction sector and the sectors of trade, hotel and restaurant.

This study aims to analyze the theory of economic growth and analyze the growth rate of the fisheries sector in the Bogor District based on a comparison of the total gross regional domestic production (GRDP) of cities and provinces. The research began in January 2021 until April 2021. The research method was carried out by survey methods collected both through decision surveys which were then analyzed quantitatively and presented descriptively. This research data comes from secondary data. The data was generated from interviews with the Department of Fisheries and Livestock staff in Bogor District, BPS Bogor District, BPS West Java Province, and Bappeda Bogor District. Data analysis included Shift Share Analysis and Location Quotient Analysis. Based on research conducted on the Analysis of the Economic Growth Structure of the Fisheries Sector in the Bogor District, it can be concluded that the Fisheries Sector is aprimary sector in the Bogor District with an LQ value of 1.2712. The results show the growth value of the net shift in the production of the fisheries sector in Bogor District with an average from 2015-2019 of -1.331.821,44. The fisheries sector shows a PB value <0, meaning that the fisheries sector in Bogor District has a slow growth rate.
