This article is making known some characteristic features of evolution in creative activity of Anna Baranovichi (1906-2002). Famous painter, she was a part and parcel of the generation of those Basarabian intellectuals who have put the basis in fine arts’ development in the republic, her fate reflecting in many respects the difficult historical periods. In order to make the colours to express the essence of things and phenomenon of human being, she has always put in her painting the more sophisticated tasks. In her landscapes and portraits she has been expressing the energy of life, keeping the necessity of harmonious unity with the world around. The integrity of forms and colours in her works were giving the epic response just in the case of small canvas with simple objects, flowers or fruit. Her last works are notable for the most active emanation of light, reproducing the supply of love for life that the painter has kept in spite of the or deals of the fate.

AbstractHuman beings create images of themselves in all cultures and historical periods. They need these images to communicate about themselves and to understand themselves. Images of the human being are designs and projections of the human being. They are formed in order to visualize representations of the human being or individual aspects of a person. These representations are simplifications of human diversity and complexity. Images of the human being are irreducible. They arise because we communicate about ourselves and must develop similarities and feelings of belonging with other people. They are the result of complex anthropological processes in which social and cultural power structures play an important role. Owing to their iconic character, they reduce the complexity of the person and his or her being-in-the-world to select features and do not create a complete view of the person.

In many ancient cultures the number seven was distinguished with a special type of symbolism. There is also an aureole of mystique surrounding the cycle “Seven Sketches for Piano” by Saratov-based composer Elena Gokhman. In order to line up one of the possible conceptions of the composition the author turned her attention to the universal Kabbalistic model of the human being – the Tree of Life. The seven components of the Tree – the sephiroths – reflect the seven psychological characteristic features of the human being which it is necessary to develop and perfect, harmonizing them with both each other and with the outer world. The analogies between the Tree of Life and the pieces comprising the piano cycle line up the psychological portrait of our contemporary: permeated with contradictions, aspiring towards harmony and conveying clemency to the world.

The collection of the National Fine Arts Museum of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) is a meaningful result of the hard work of many generations. The Museum's collections are of great historical and artistic interest and include a wide range of unique works, being an organic part of the world art Treasury. The significant moment in the history of Museum life in the Republic was the gratuitous transfer (gift) in 1962 of more than 250 works of Western European art of the XVI – XIX centuries from the family collection of the famous Yakut scientist, Doctor of Economics, Professor Mikhail Gabyshev (1902 – 1958). In the composition of the gift can be noted Italian masters – Niccolo Reniery (about 1590 – 1667), Giovanni Battista Pittoni (1687 – 1767), Dutch artists – Alexander Adriansen (1587 – 1661), Frederico de Mucheron (1633 – 1686), excellent portraits of the unknown Flemish master of the first quarter of the XVII century. On the basis of paintings from the collection of M.F. Gabyshev in 1970, in the former building of the Yakut district Treasury, built in 1909, a branch was opened – the Museum of West European Art, transformed in 1995 into the Gallery of Foreign Art named after Professor M.F. Gabyshev. The article deals with the principles and process of forming the assemblage of the famous collector.

This paper shows how solidarity is one of the founding principles in Thomas More's Utopia (1516). In the fictional republic of Utopia described in Book II, solidarity has a political and a moral function. The principle is at the center of the communal organization of Utopian society, exemplified in a number of practices such as the sharing of farm work, the management of surplus crops, or the democratic elections of the governor and the priests. Not only does solidarity benefit the individual Utopian, but it is a prerequisite to ensure the prosperity of the island of Utopia and its moral preeminence over its neighboring countries. However, a limit to this principle is drawn when the republic of Utopia faces specific social difficulties, and also deals with the rest of the world. In order for the principle of solidarity to function perfectly, it is necessary to apply it exclusively within the island or the republic would be at risk. War is not out of the question then, and compassion does not apply to all human beings. This conception of solidarity, summed up as “Utopia first!,” could be dubbed a Machiavellian strategy, devised to ensure the durability of the republic. We will show how some of the recommendations of Realpolitik made by Machiavelli in The Prince (1532) correspond to the Utopian policy enforced to protect their commonwealth.

The process of globalization, which many times is considered as new world order is affecting all spheres of modern society but also the media. In this paper specifically we will see the impact of globalization because we see changing the media access to global problems in general being listed on these processes. We will see that the greatest difficulties will have small media as such because the process is moving in the direction of creating mega media which thanks to new technology are reaching to deliver news and information at the time of their occurrence through choked the small media. So it is fair to conclude that the rapid economic development and especially the technology have made the world seem "too small" to the human eyes, because for real-time we will communicate with the world with the only one Internet connection, and also all the information are take for the development of events in the four corners of the world and direct from the places when the events happen. Even Albanian space has not left out of this process because the media in the Republic of Albania and the Republic of Kosovo are adapted to the new conditions under the influence of the globalization process. This fact is proven powerful through creating new television packages, written the websites and newspapers in their possession.
