This study aimed to identify the advantages of distance education and the challenges that hinder its success in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in light of the Corona pandemic crisis from the viewpoint of male and female teachers in the public education sector in Hafar Al-Batin Governorate in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The researcher used the descriptive and analytical method, and the tool consisted of a questionnaire consisting of (19) items distributed in two areas: challenges and advantages. It was distributed to a random stratified sample of (110) male and female teachers in the public education sector in Hafar Al-Batin Governorate in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The results of the research showed that the field of advantages and opportunities provided by distance learning obtained a large arithmetic average of (3.43), while the degree of agreement of the sample on the field of challenges facing distance education was medium with an average of (3.20). The results showed no statistically significant differences at the level of significance (α ≤0.05) among the means of the research sample estimates of the advantages and challenges of distance education and learning in light of the Corona pandemic crisis. In the end, the researcher recommended the necessity of using distance learning in the programs of the Ministry of Education, training teachers and developing their skills in using computers and extracting information from information networks.

The aim of this research is to find a proposed vision for developing distance education programs in border schools in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and to explore the reality of the proposed educational programs for developing distance education programs. In order to achieve the research objectives, the descriptive and analytical approach was used for its suitability for this research, as the questionnaire was used as a research tool. The research sample consisted of (150) female teachers from border schools. The results of the research revealed that the reality of female teachers ’practice on distance learning programs in border schools in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is central. And that the use of technology is the most important requirement for developing distance education programs in border schools from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The results also showed the achievement of leadership in diversifying and developing teaching and learning methods through the distance education system based on employing modern information and communication technology, equipping schools with all technological equipment, and supporting students with modern equipment and teachers with modern training to achieve the goals of distance education. In light of the results, the research paper presented a proposal for developing distance education programs in border schools in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

This paper aims to shed light on distance education in the United Kingdom and comparing it to distance education in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the extent of its use in improving the processes of distance learning and education, and ways to overcome the problems facing distance education in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The study relied on reports and analysis of international data conducted by the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD). Among the most important findings of the study: It is possible to benefit from the experience of the United Kingdom in distance learning, and there are significant differences in distance learning between the two countries, and there are few similarities. Among the most important recommendations of the study: To benefit from the experiences of British universities and institutions in distance education, and to simulate the platforms and applications used in distance education in the United Kingdom and how to benefit from them, and to benefit from the experience of the United Kingdom in responding to economic growth and bridging the digital divide by using the Internet in schools to teach academic subjects.

This study aimed to explore the impact of Covid 19 pandemic on the educational process in public education schools in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia through three main aspects: The first aspect: the availability of distance learning resources and facilities for public education students during this pandemic, the second aspect: the capabilities and of public education students to use distance learning resources during the Corona pandemic, the third aspect: the extent to which the practice of educational activities has been affected by distance learning during the Corona pandemic. The study used quantitative methodology and the descriptive survey approach in order to explore theses aspects. This approach depends entirely on distributing the questionnaires electronically to the participants. A questionnaire tool was used in order to collect the study data. The results of this study yielded several results: Regarding the availability of learning resources for students during this pandemic, it was found that they are generally available to all students. As for the capabilities and abilities of general education students to use learning resources, it is clear that most students were able to use these resources effectively. Finally, regarding the extent of how the educational activities affected during this pandemic, the results showed that they were not affected in general and that there was a positive impact on educational activities during distance learning, however, this positive impact not as expected.

Despite the fact that establishing a culture of teamwork among students is one of the most important functions and duties of the school, very few studies have addressed this issue in Saudi Arabia. This study investigates the role of all-female schools in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in promoting a culture of teamwork among its students from the point of view of teachers. The study followed the descriptive- analytical approach: a random sample of teacher participants were selected to represent the public school community. A questionnaire was distributed among all teacher participants for data collection, and the SPSS software was used to analyze the data. The study’s results revealed that all areas regarding the culture of teamwork received high approval ratings. Further, the study recommends involving teachers and students in drafting the school's vision by providing all means of communication between departments, especially electronic platforms, including recognition of outstanding teamwork. The study identifies the most important challenges facing general education male and female teachers in applying the differentiated instruction strategy in different stages of education in the Eastern Province in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. To achieve this, the researcher designed a questionnaire consisting of 47 paragraphs on five axes. It was distributed to 275 male and female teachers in Dammam city, after having verified its validity and stability,The results indicate that the degree of the challenge of using the differentiated instruction strategy was medium overall. The challenges related to students were ranked first, followed by challenges related to the school environment, then the nature of the differentiated instruction, challenges related to teachers, and, finally, challenges related to study courses.However, the results were not statistically significant for the variable of the educational stage (primary, intermediate, and secondary), although there were significant differences for the gender variable in favour of males.The study recommends creating a school environment that supports the use of a differentiated instruction strategy and holding workshops for teachers to train them in differentiated instruction activities.

This study aimed to identify the percentage of both supporters and opponents of the alternative evaluation, detect the reasons for both support and opposition to the alternative evaluation from the viewpoint of teachers of the Arabic language in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The survey descriptive method was used, the research sample consisted of (150) male and female teachers, and the researcher prepared a questionnaire to collect data. The results showed that (70.67%) of the total research sample are supporters for the alternative evaluation, whereas, (29.33%) of the total research sample are opponents to the alternative evaluation. The most important reasons of supporting the alternative evaluation were: the alternative evaluation is based on placing the student in real situations or simulating the reality and monitoring his responses in it, and achieving justice in the evaluation of students, and provides multiple opportunities for students to master the academic subject, and makes students use their skills and knowledge to accomplish any task, and allows continuity of learning. The most important reasons of Opposition to the alternative evaluation were: The alternative evaluation is not appropriate due to the density of students and the nature of the special courses in the Arabic language, and it is difficult to properly apply it according to its rules, and it strives for the student due to a large number of tests. In light of the study results, some recommendations were formulated.

This study aimed to identify the weaknesses and shortcomings in the level of strategic planning in the public education departments in Makkah region and how to overcome them, to improve their performance in light of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia 2030 vision. The study used the descriptive analytical approach on documents, and the tool was to refer to books, researches, studies and specialized literature on the subject of research, and the research consists of three main chapters, the first chapter dealt with the general framework of the research, and the second: the theoretical framework and previous studies, As for the third chapter, it includes the conclusion, recommendations and proposals. The results showed the importance of strategic planning in improving the performance of public education departments and the performance of their employees, in addition to many benefits that ultimately lead to the quality of education outcomes, which have become an urgent necessity; required by the current stage, to ensure the achievement of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia 2030 vision, and to maintain its leadership position regionally and globally. In light of the results, a set of recommendations and proposals were presented: to activate the strategic planning methodology to improve the performance of educational departments and schools in Makkah and other regions throughout the Kingdom.

The study aimed to identify the developments that took place in the Arabic language curricula in public education in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which are the development of curriculum objectives, evaluation of Arabic language curricula, methods and techniques of education, strategies for teaching education and teacher preparation in general education. I took the historical approach as a research method, and I used the documents to discover the development of the Arabic language curricula. I explained the stages of development. They were presented in the form of simplified and clear tables, and I made some recommendations and proposals in the current study. Finally, I came to identify the developments that took place in the Arabic language curriculum in public education in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
